The food wasnt too bad, actually, that saves it from being one star. Its just a shame the service was as bad as it was. We werent brought menus for quite a while after we initially sat down. There were so many tables that still had dishes, and there were rags on the floor. We werent even brought utensils for our food until we had to get someones attention for them, after we were served our food. I am not one to complain about service this way. I always give the benefit of the doubt. I understand how difficult the job is. Im just kind of worried about these conditions, and felt the need to mention it for whoever needs to hear it.

My go to place for delicious comfort food and friendly, warm service. I usually walk into the restaurant and joke Im Home! truly a wonderful place to visit with amazing fresh food and daily specials.

I luv eating at the Springfield Diner. Basically, a no frills diner serving well made, reasonably priced comfort food. E.g. Corned beef, cabbage and baked potato, plus salad for $13. Or pot roast, mashed potato, gravy, green beans and salad for the same price. Ive never been disappointed.
Perfect over easy eggs. Delicious Home fries. I asked for very little butter on my bagel, done !. Something most places ignore. Great Coffee. Prompt delivery. I love this Diner.

Had the farmer^s omelet here on a Sunday morning. Hearty breakfast, with friendly service. Nothing fancy but thats okay... its a diner. Wouldnt hesitate to go back. Tip, if youre going on a weekend, park in the train station next door. Its free and much easier to get in and out of.
I usually go with the traditional breakfast here that always satisfies. With that said, I just picked up a Bacon Egg and Cheese to go. If I were to replace the bacon with rubber bands it wouldve been crispier. If you like crispy bacon, avoid the BEC sandwich.
Stopped there today for lunch passing through on a road trip with my son. He had a grilled ham and cheese which was great and I had a roast beef sandwich that was good. The place was reasonably clean and the waitress was friendly. The food was served amazingly quick. Really enjoyed the experience.
Awesome food, and awesome staff, even when you get called to an emergency. When we got back, they remade the food for us no charge. A million thumbs up!

The food is always fresh and tasty. It’s consistently good and you can always rely on them for great quality and service. They have great diner standbys, as well as nice specials and a great selection of healthier options too.
Always fresh and delicious. I do a lot of take out here and the service is fast and friendly, the food is always very good. The place is also immaculate. Parking can be a challenge but its worth it!
I couldnt taste the meatloaf because the cook poured the gravy all over the plate. I like to taste the meatloaf at every diner I attend.

The parking situation is pretty bad. I almost got into an accident pulling out of it! We have to be honest, we were a little worried when we first walked in- this place isnt too cozy looking like most diners- the silverware even looked dirty. The saving grace was the delicious bacon. Because of the lack of ambience here, I dont know that I would recommend this place for a date, but its not bad if you want good breakfast and no frills.

Was meeting a friend I hadn’t seen in awhile. Waitress was rude from start to finish. Literally in the building for 55 minutes. Was told they were busy and we needed to go. Needless to say will NEVER go back there!

Local greasy spoon. Food is usually good, though on one occasion the Italian sausage had a weird smell. Try the Springdale omelette.One good thing is the Metro-North station right next to it, and a display near the restaurant door of upcoming train times.

Great for breakfast and lunch. Christo breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, chili, cheese and home fries on a hard roll) is my favorite. They also have great chili and Greek dishes like the Chicken Souvlaki platter. One of the best Stamford diners for sure.

Havent even received my food and already giving a 1 star. She brought the menu, said thank you and walked away. No drink order. She finally came back to take my order which made me realize she wasnt even planning on taking my drink order untimy meal order. I ordered. She left. After some time, i noticed that she had no intention of bringing me anything to drink. I flagged her down and asked her if I could get my drink before the meal. Maybe this is standard in the NE as it happened to me yesterday as well. Either way, no matter how good the food is, I wont abide horrible service.
