We needed to rent a storage Unit in a hurry and found out about Life Storage on Google. At first we were a little hesitant because we had never done business with this company before. But I can honestly say it was the best decision we made. Upon arriving to finalize our reservation, I was greeted by Bart, the manager at the Stillwater Stamford location. Bart promptly answered all of the 1000000 questions that I had. He was very patient and knowledgeable and made sure to explain all the different options and best prices available. After helping me confirm I was making the right Unit selection, Bart thoroughly explained the entire rental process and even demonstrated how to access all the amenities provided at Life Storage. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for storage to head over to Life Storage on Stillwater Avenue in Stamford CT. The customer service was excellent! You will not be disappointed.

Change is Good!I had reserved a space at the 300 Stillwater location when it was managed by Extra Space. I was very concerned when I went to complete my paper work and saw the new Life Storage signage on the building. Long story short, Frank, Leslie and Leo were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I was able to rent the right size unit at a very fair price. I trust them and will feel comfortable storing my stuff while I travel.

Bart and James were very professional, courteous and helpful. I feel good having my belongings at this facility with them at the helm.

Excellent Customer Service as a new renter with John. John completed my enrollment with a walkthrough to my new unit. When I forgot my unit Erika helped me find it. Great location on bus line and within walking distance from Downtown Stamford. Nice staff, friendly too. Good prices compared to U-HAUL for short term rental. Up front prices not included in online reservation are: insurance (I chose $10 that covers $1000), storage lock is specific to Extra Space Storage (cost $18 yet they provide 3 keys), theres like a tax fee and other fees. So my rental is $33 a month yet I paid $88 up front. Plan accordingly. There are also storage boxes and tape available. Excellent clean facility, large open bay elevators, and moving carts to help with storage.UPDATE 7/20/2019My first month bill is $46 and not $33. The $13 includes taxes and fees. Therefore, ongoing Monthly fees is $46 and not $33.

Its pretty amazing, Ive had other storage places in the past, when I found this one, as I didnt have one in this town before, I went checked out a few others, and wow, there are storage places and then there is this place!!! And the people who run it, they have been super, just the best always. I dont want to say much more, Id rather keep it a secret.

I came back to this company because of the positive experience I had renting a unit for short-term purposes last year. Second time around confirmed my initial feelings. This is a great spot- clean, organized, and modern storage units. Renting process straightforward and upfront. John at the desk recognized me from my earlier rental and could not have been more pleasant or helpful when I came back. He and Tyler got me into the perfect unit at a reasonable price in a matter of minutes. Could not recommend this spot and their crew highly enough. By far the best experience I’ve had with a self-storage company! 5 stars!

While dealing with an extremely stressful out of state move, I contacted extra space storage and I am so glad I did. Rick made the entire process quick and easy and was such a pleasure to work with. The best customer service in town

My mom and I had an excellent experience, Rick was very helpful. We came twice before deciding we were going to lease a unit. He walked us to our unit to decide if it was in the right location. I have health issues and cannot travel far. The storage building seems very secure, very spacious, they have parked carts to make moving easy and parking spaces right next to the elevator. Fantastic service and units at a great price.

Erica and John were amazing. They took care of my remote lease for me even though I was late for my appointment and they were closing. Excellent customer service definitely recommend them!

The only issue I had is that when I was handed the Keys to the Unit the Package was torn opened. Im not sure why They did that? Or, do You keep a Key there?I didnt notice the Package was opened til I got Home.But, overall I understand because of the Covid-19 I was helped at a distance.

After getting a unit I found I didnt need it, so I called them and was told they dont reimburse anything. So was pretty much told to suck up the $225 . This was within 3 days if getting the unit. Nothing was ever put in it and yet no refund at all . A penalty I figured, no big deal. Nothing was given back. Im 63 and on a fixed income. So Not good business.

The space is actually drive-in to the storage elevator with ample carts & parking adjacent. Id highly recommend this location to anyone seeking extra storage space .

A little over priced

The only thing better than this cool facility is the incredible service. John took care of my wife and I like we were royalty. Love this place!!!!

The unit is new and clean. Some of the older more experienced staff are helpful and receptive.Compared to other storage units I have, the management here has No accountability. Almost 3 weeks ago I informed them pipping and roof debris had fallen into the unit. I was promptly informed that this was not their responsibility. I was told this is an old building so this does happen but the pipes are not connected.This does make me worry about the integrity of the building. I insisted it has to be looked at and I was informed a roofer will contact me to look at the unit. It has been 3 weeks and I do not have any response from the roofer or a follow up call From management.

I have been renting at this place for nearly a year. The light fixture in front of unit, which was promised to be fixed on day of signing contract, is still not fixed. I am pregnant and can’t access the dark unit. They provided 2 small puck lights, that when turning on can hurt my eyes; they do not provide sufficient light. I tried explaining this to Erica and prove to her that’s it not bright and the unit remains dark; she gave me a bad attitude and yelled at me; refusing to let me show her. She yelled at me, being pregnant, and gave me emotional stress. The unit is on the second floor; anyone is welcome to check it out and will see how dark it is...the ceiling is filled with black spotting and debri hanging; I hope it’s not mold.Once they get you in the unit; they don’t care about broken promises and how your health may be affected. I have been avoiding to go into my unit, because it’s too dark and unsafe. I went once to check on the lock and discovered how hot they keep it in the summer; it is not climate controlled as promised; it’s way too hot; I was sweating. They provide no alternative for the unit and I cannot move anything without out of pocket costs. These great reviews must be fake. The monthly rate continues to increase without resolving my issues or returning my phone calls in a timely fashion. I would like to receive a credit for these past months’ of a rate increase for this inconvenience of being unable to access the unit, which was promised to me that the light would be fixed. There was no need to be rushed off the phone with an attitude by John today, Friday; September 27, 2019...who clearly had enough of my phone calls; I called speaking in a very nice manner and he spoke back to me with an aggressive and annoyance tone. How would you feel if it’s yourself or family member?If this issue was resolved, as promised a year ago, I wouldn’t need to call. Please consider renting from somewhere else to avoid what I am going through.
