This shop is imaginative and special. I love going into the Nittany Quill. I might be in the market for some truly special cards and then I find some amazing things for gifts. Or maybe I am looking specifically for a meaningful calligraphy item and find wrapping paper and ribbons that are irresistible. I love that every time I go there, there is something new to catch my eye.

Really cute little place downtown. Friendly staff. I got the most adorable Nittany lion cub beanie baby there, it’s quality and was very reasonably priced.

This is my go-to spot for the special people in my life. Great and unique gifts for creative people of all kinds... Games, books, journals, and more, all of the things that make you smile. You can also get really special wrapping papers and ribbons here. I got the most amazing baroque paper last year, and it made even my smallest gifts feel extra special. You cant miss the stationary and card collection, and check out the custom calligraphy done by the owner, Joy. Must visit!!

The Nittany Quill is one of my absolute favorite local shops downtown! The selection of stationary and artwork is beautiful, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Its a perfect spot to find a unique gift for anybody. A State College gem!

Ive been finding the most wonderous cards and gifts (for me! or maybe for someone else!) for over 20 years. Its crammed full of beautiful stationery, cards, notebooks & journals, and more fun little doo-dads than youd guess could fit in this cozy store. It has all the things you need, and way more things you dont (but must have!)!

Normally I would rather have my spleen removed with a cocktail fork than have to shop for greeting cards. This shop has changed my outlook on that. The owner is very nice and chatting with her made it a better experience. Quality stuff and an interesting selection. On my list of regular stops.

Less impressive fountain pen selection than I had hoped, but very friendly and a nice stationary selection.

Joy helped us so much with our invitations, reception cards, table cards and thank you notes. So happy she is right here in State College. Shop here first!!!
