I worked with Steve Owens to get a transmission for my vehicle. I showed up in person, but with the restrictions they were pretty strict. He still helped me out. Got photos uploaded of the part. He made sure to explain the warranty, core charge, pallet charge, and mention a delivery charge if I wanted the part delivered. It did take a bit of time. He was upfront and told me the delivery was short staffed and it might take a few days. Im very patient so it didnt bother me all that much. Got delivered to my shop and the part appeared good. Part was installed and it works. Hopefully I wont have to use the warranty, but I paid extra for the reassurance. Satisfied, might come back if I need an engine lol.

Polite and professional sales reps but, unfortunate bad experience when parts arrived from their affiliates. Ordered 2 front lower rearward control arms, 1 was incorrect, and the correct one was terribly misrepresented to be a Grade A part and it wasnt, the bushings were cracked terribly worn and shrinking. My issue is I paid for these parts prior to receiving them. American & Import parts may want to quality check parts they order from their out of town affiliates before requiring payment. KUDOS to rep tho, he did refund my money.

Excellent service. Recommended 3 different shops in area for foreign engine replacement in 17 Nissan. Engine had 7k miles and checked out VIN on carfax. They even dropped off engine and picked up core at no charge. Car runs as new. Best price around too. Very happy camper here.

They are terrible....I ordered an tailgate and paid in full upfront plus the delivery ( even they advertised free delivery). The parts were supposed to arrive on Monday and now its almost Friday and no parts ( they assured me the parts will deliver on Monday). Every time I call they sell me just lies, like the parts will be delivered any minute because they are on the road. Most of the parts they advertise are coming from a different company, them being just the middle man. Like I said, terrible experience ! Do yourself a favor and order from a different place to save...some stress.

A very sad and depressing place to go to. I waited three days for a part because it was the same color. After getting there to pick it up they make you wait in the car 30 minutes after bringing the part out it looks like someone spray-painted the part to try to match the same color. He got mad and upset because I did not want the hood. Even though I bought another part from them and they overcharged me by five dollars did not notice until I got home. Parts prices where no different then online just wanted to support our local businesses. This is exactly why some people don’t support local businesses. because of people like this. Definitely not recommended 👎

The worst company I have ever deal with bought a engine from them 2 months ago and the car still in the shop. The turbo were no good. They do not stand bye there word or the warranty. Now I have to get an attorney and I going to call the B.B.B. I very disappointed at shade commany. iam out 3200.00 dollars and the car does not run good

Most pleasant and clear purchase I’ve made in life. I called and talked to Chris about a 2009 Silverado used engine, after a long and detailed conversation he told me the best thing I could purchase would be a Remanufactured engine. He could not have been more right. The engine was in within 2 days. The mechanic I used said he has never seen such a perfect product. Easy install and my truck runs perfect. Awesome products. Part was good quality no run around picking it up . The biggest issue I had is they charged me $100 for a $75 part and had a core that wasn’t disclosed until I got there to pick up . Prices are highest around and the core should have been disclosed upfront . I would have brought one with me .

Chris is the biggest liar ever. Their prices are way higher than anyone else and half the time they don’t even have it in stock but rather have it sitting at a network company.

The only thing i had a problem with was the sign and location it was hard to find. Yall need to put metropolitan parkway instead of 16 mile which they are the same.

RUDEST SALESMAN EVER. FALSE ADVERTISING. Called for a part they have listed on Car-Part and the salesman told me they have the part but he won’t sell it to me with the cover. I asked why you have it online with the cover and he told me to not call again.Just to let you know there are many junk yards out there and no one needs your rude a**. Order the same part from ebay for much cheaper. Been dealing with junk yards for a long time and never seen a customer service like this. This might be a great place but you need to work with your salesman attitude.

I bought a transfer case for a customer from American and Import auto parts back in September, and brought them the core. A few days later, The transfer case leaked 2 quarts of oil. We had to take the truck back and repair it. I called them up and requested that we have a check for all the labor and oil, etc. Kern and I agreed on a price and I was told we were going to get the check sent to us. A month later, no check. I call Kern and explain we havent received it yet, he seems worried and says they are going to cancel the check they sent out and send us another one. Couple weeks later, still no check. So I call again and he told me that he would have a driver personally deliver it to me, that was weeks ago and still havent received anything! I am very dissatisfied. Today is 11/18/19 and I left kern another voicemail. Hoping we get our labor and parts money for a part we had to spend time fixing.

When I arrived, the part wasnt in the condition described on the phone. Although the negotiation got a little intense, Chris and Todd made a deal with me that was more than fair.

Didnt have what I needed in stock but got it faster than online and in the time promised for a competitive price. A little confused where to get when I got there but figured it out. Hint go into the small building that kind of looks like a house first, pay there and the pick up your part at the big door of the bigger building. I like that this is still a traditional salvage yard that has the parts off and ready for you and if they dont have it they can get it. The u pick yards have their place but I am willing to pay for the parts already removed. I will definitely be getting parts from here again.

Unproffesional service. Rude and disrespectful. I came to buy a spare tire for a dodge charger and they tell me to wait 2 hours for it. A spare tire! That literally takes 2 minutes to open the trunk and take it out. Will never go here again! And will tell everyone I know to not go here. I own a body shop business so my word will spread quick.

I asked for a quote on Monday for a part online and over the phone. It was $50. I posted the photo as a proof. When I arrived 3 days later (Friday) they changed the price to $75 and they said they will not respect their own quote. I wouldn’t recommend the company that plays games with their customers like that.Reply to the managements reply:Both of the parts (broken or in good condition) were priced $50. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE AS A PROOF. Also when I was inside the store I was told that the price was changed yesterday (Thursday 6/28/18) since you didn’t want to sell the good part at the price of the broken. Therefore your explanation doesn’t comply with the truth.You can do with your price what you want that is your business. But you should have respect the quote that was given to the customer (both online or over the phone).I still do not recommend this place.

Talk about service this company delivers your part and will return to pick up your core so you dont have to worry about getting your car dirty. I run a auto repair facility and called them today to try and help a elderly customer find a place that will buy her car for scrap. I spoke to Mike in purchasing and was horrified by the way he talked to me. I told him the year, make, model and what was wrong with the car and he laughed at me and said I dont want it, Im not the guy youre looking for. This was the first call I made seeing as how we do a lot of business with them when looking for obsolete parts. After that I called 5 other local salvage yards who were all very nice and wanted the car (trying to find my customer the best offer for her vehicle). After this I will be using any of those 5 yards I call for my used parts and was very shocked at the level of attitude I was given by him and he didnt know I was a good customer of this business. I get that you may not have a want or need for this particular vehicle (even though it is a uncommon vehicle) but there is much better ways of saying that then being short and rude with me once you find out what kind of vehicle it is... not good guys!

Ordered 2 rims for my BMW when they got bent. We showed them a picture of my exact rim, gave them the size for it, and it was supposed to arrive Tuesday. We came in Tuesday and they werent available until Wednesday. Then we had to wait around all day on Wednesday and were finally able to pick them up at 5:00 when they got them to the shop. On top of it all, they got the wrong rims and wont be able to get the ones I need for another week. Dont waste your time with people who claim to know what the hell theyre doing.

Do not I repeat DO NOT waste your time with this shop. Absolutely unprofessional and completely incompetent. Dave T is the sales rep who told me a part was in stock after stating I am positive it is on the shelf. I drove very far to retrieve this part and waited 20mins for them to get the part out of the warehouse. It was only after driving 1 hour and waiting 20 mins that Dave said well I dont have it. Sorry bout that completely unapologetic and a complete joke of a salvage yard. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS

Staff was friendly, no bullshit, gave them a stock number over phone, price was as advertised, paid cash, in and out. Loader driver successfully put two Sterlings in a truck with a cap on it the first time and a 60 with giant radius arms in a shortbed without incident. Purchased a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V engine from these folks. Upon arrival we discovered water in the cylinders along with bent valves and metal in the intake ports of the heads. I was told it was a running engine in conversation before purchasing the engine.You might be wondering why I rated these folks at 5 stars. Thats because after a little work to prove the condition of the engine purchased and getting quotes on fixing everything they were willing to make it right and work on getting the LSA back to the condition, if not better than what I had agreed to purchase. Its not often that you find an internet based salvage yard that is willing to fix mistakes on used parts. It spoke volumes to me and I would do business with them again based on the business practices they choose to base their company on. Blake

Waited for over 5 minutes while people walked around eating food, playing on their phones or just staring at us without even acknowledging my father and I were in there.
