All in all, car that was bought runs good! Now to all the confusion and beyond craziness. After signing all paperwork worker comes in to room to say the horn did not work. Assured my wife and I it wasnt a big deal. Nothing could of been further from the truth. Dropped car off at lot a week after to fix horn. After not receiving phone call for half the day wife called to check the status. They knew absolutely nothing about where the car was or what was wrong with it. Mind you, this was after a scheduled appointment for that day! How do you have a customer bring their car in and let it sit all day without knowing what is wrong with it? My wife uses her car for work so she called again in the evening to check on status. Still now clue. About 30 min later someone called and said car was all set and was ready to be picked up. Yeah, after going there to pick it up around closing time once again nobody knew where or what was wrong with car. Seriously cannot make this stuff up. Finally car tech came out and said sorry we have to order part but it will only take 15 min go fix. Scheduled up another appointment for the following week. Took car in and found it they had fixed the horn the previous time there and failed to say anything to us. Now they said it was an air bag issue. Really, so you let us leave off the lot knowing there was not a functional airbag. Wow! Scary of Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights to think this is ok. Guess they do not value their customers lives one bit. The following week, yes 3 weeks in a row, wife decided to go in an talk to manager about the situation. Not only was Jay the manager combative and unhelpful, he didnt see anything wrong with how this situation was handled. Also asked what do you want me to do about it Wow! For starters how about fix the situation and make it right. This is unimaginable how much they truly do not care! Worst experience ever! You have been warned!
My sales person Tammy was excellent on getting me out of my current lease and into another truck. The service was great with the sale manager trying to understand where I want to be in payment and doing everything they can to accommodate it. Tammy has been the sales person for the 5 years and every time I go see her she always has a smile and greets me like she knows you. I would recommend anyone to go see Tammy If they need a new car.

Yeah well as of now the service has zero stars and we will see if it changes. Made an appointment for 11am. Dropped my car off at 8am. Called at 2pm because I drove up by my car to get the garage opener and wanted an update on the 11am appointment and the lady told me they were currently working on it and wont have an update until tomorrow morning for a radio issue and vibration. How are people working on it while Im literally sitting in the car grabbing my garage opener.
Very pleased with the 2017 Jeep Cherokee I purchased. My sales associate, London, was informative and patient. I cannot give my experience 5 stars because when it came down to signing the paperwork, I felt rushed. I signed a non negotiable warranty for PermaPlate that cost 2,000$. I didnt realize until I got home and uploaded all of my documents onto my computer that the fine print states I do NOT need to commit to buying that option.

They have a very helpful and highly trained technician staff and they do their best to keep you informed on what is going on with your ride. My F250 is 17 years old and driven almost everyday for our construction company. I believe Suburban has helped keep it on the road as it closes in on 300K of hard driven miles. I ended up purchasing from a dealership closer to my house that also offered Fords X Plan pricing (which I qualified for), but this dealership would have been my second choice. John Halsey was very responsive compared to other dealers that I attempted to business with online/phone. If you are looking for a high-volume dealership to do business with over the phone or internet, I highly recommend them. Im sure they are great in person as well.

My wife and was heading back from a friends wedding when we stopped to look at a car. This was close to 5pm so at the end of their shift, the sales person approach us, didnt bother to introduce himself. However, as a monority we have faced this very issue plenty of times though it bothered us we continued. The sales person got the vehicle ready and we test drive the for about 5 to 7 minutes. Upon our arrival back to the dealership, the attitude of the sales person completely changed (maybe because after doing a small check on us they realised we actually can afford the vehicle). They took out information on Friday evening, ran out information on Monday, called saying everything checks out and we pick the vehicle up on Wednesday (we are from another state and was hoping they would hold the vehicle until the weekend which would be appropriate for us but we were told we had to pick it up on Wednesday). On wednesday after the transaction was completed, another who was sitting inside the dealership overheard either the sales person or the finance person saying lets get the guys out of here and back to their worse city. This conclude our experience with the dealership. The car so far is okay but one could get cars anywhere sometimes the experience and customer service can speak volumes.
I usually go to a different dealership, However, due to the shortage of vehicles right now, my friend took me to Suburban Ford just to see. My friend wanted me to see her sales guy, Vince m. From the minute we walked in I felt like i was in the right place. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I met Vince who was just so pleasant and professional! Took my Raptor in for a radio issue. I asked if they did detailing. They do inside and outside. I had already been shopping for interior detailing so I knew that they were priced extremely lower than other companies. I paid for inside and outside for less than what others charged for just inside. I picked up my truck looking like it belonged on a showroom. Always, always trust a dealership to bring that showroom look back.What I really want to call out is that the entire team treated my Raptor like it was a celebrity. It’s clear the care and efforts that went into this. They were proud of the work they did and couldn’t wait to show me. I tried to tip, but they refused.I highly suggest you try this out. It feels great and your car will look amazing.
Ive been to this dealership a few times and everything was great until now. Their is a RECALL on my car & when I called about it so I can get it fixed I was told they wont fix my car cause I have 150,000 miles!? I work in flint so all I do is drive and now Im being put at risk for a recall they REFUSE to fix????

My 16 year old purchased a used truck from Suburban Ford. The sales manager who oversaw the sale was Terry. He told my son that his name could not be on the title since he was under 18. My son told him that his name was the only name on the title of the last vehicle he owned. Terry told him he had never heard of that before. When we went to the Secretary of State, we had to pay an extra fee to add my sons name to the title. The employee at the SOS told us that my sons name could have been added to the title at the dealership and we could have avoided the fee. I called the dealership to tell them this so this wouldnt happen to other people. I spoke with the salesman who we worked with at the dealer and he said he would have a manager call us. No one ever called us back.

Made my appointment on September 23rd. Told me to bring it on October 8th 9am. Waited 2 weeks to get my truck worked on. I dropped my truck off on the date they told me of October 8th at 9am. It was NOT ready October 8th. I called and left a message, Jim never return my call. I went the next day Saturday and truck still wasnt done. Finally after talking to several people finally got my truck back. It was never worked on. I would NOT recommend this place at all to have your Ford vehicle worked on.

Sold a used car and received great price
Even zero stars would be too many. Shouldve trusted my gut from the start.Bought TWO cars here the same day. Didnt give them a hard time with the price or any extras, although I could have gone to many other dealerships that surround them and gotten at least a similar deal if not better. New sales person Shawn was friendly, but hurried and not very knowledgeable about the vehicles. Also over-promises and under-delivers (mistakes made on their end with vehicle pick up dates, vehicle not cleaned/ready on pick up date). One vehicle had two very noticeable issues (back hatch wouldnt open and front passenger tire low air). He didnt know anything about it, so he got his manager who didnt know anything about it either. Having them pop the hood, check fuses, press the interior hatch release/key fob button/look for the exterior hatch release was comical. Who inspected this vehicle prior to it being ready for sale and placed on the lot? I cant imagine these very basic items not on their comprehensive list of items to inspect as part of standard practice. Car was kept to make repair to hatch release, which took longer than I was initially told. Worked when it was taken off the lot, but in about 3 weeks no longer working. I believe they knew what really needed to get fixed in the first place, and instead of repairing the root cause of the problem, they only fixed what the root cause damaged. Cheaper way out and brings me back for more repairs (not ever going here again though). Yes, I couldve bought an extended warranty, but having had a very comprehensive and expensive warranty that provided little coverage when needed on a previous vehicle didnt make me a believer in extended expensive warranty gimmicks. And even with a warranty the problem would still have existed.Was told by Shawn and his repair guy a week ago to bring the car in and it would get fixed right away (they already fixed it once). Told them I would be there first thing Wednesday 10/6/21 to drop it off and needed it back by Saturday at opening. Called today 10/8/21 and not really even looked at yet. Was told by service they only checked some diagnostics, and they need to take it to a different dealership to get it looked at more, and hopefully get it fixed there. They knew all this prior to me even bringing it in. Again, this was already fixed prior to me buying it and after I had to point it out to them that it wasnt working. How cant a sales and service team not realize a hatch doesnt open???The car owner lives in Grand Rapids, and having to deal with this lingering BS service issue is really inconvenient, shows complete lack of concern or customer care, and is a real turn off. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. Needless to say, I wont shop here, get anything repaired here, and will spread the word as much as I can.Save yourself some grief and aggravation. Check out vehicles at other locations and take your service and purchases elsewhere. Prices are not too different from one place to the next, and their follow up service is poor at best. They only want to sell you a car and later just apologize and do nothing more to make good on problems they sell and promises they make.BTW, the other problem with the tire that they fixed too? ...I wound up having to get the repair done myself a week after I bought the car. Didnt even bother with that issue with these unprofessionals. I just expected these repairs that were promised would have lasted much longer than a few weeks. Dont even bother next time guys.

$7200 and had my bus for a month and it didnt make it 100 miles. My wife, kids and I are stranded on I-75 due to their handy work. I didnt press and call asking about it. They called me told me it was done I traveled 500 miles to pick it up and they didnt have it ready made me wait another day. It was all bad. Ill expand later.

Absolute joke. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Bought a used vehicle 6 months ago. Cut to 6 months later, I have to replace the battery because the vehicle wouldnt start. After replacing the battery because the corrosion was clearly visible, still had issues and diagnosed the alternator by pulling the positive terminal cable off the battery while car was running. Called service to get a new alternator and new battery cable terminals since Im paying for a warranty through them. A 100 deductible quote and 8 days later, Im being charged close to 400 dollars to get my vehicle back. I open the hood and theres still signs of corrosion on my negative terminal and on the top of my battery. What am I paying for a warranty for if 6 months later Im being charged 400 dollars for an alternator, 200 out of my pocket for a new battery, and signs of the obvious long term corrosion still evident?
I made an appointment a week ahead of time with details about my car and the recalls that needed done. They refused to even look at my vehicle and tell me what’s wrong with it. They didn’t ask for the vin or anything. All they said was there is nothing for them to work on. My dealership guy printed me out paperwork on the recalls for Ford to work on and they are all still open. I hate being lied to straight to my face and I hate lazy people that don’t try. They flat out turned me away. This dealership is one of the worst I’ve been to. I wouldn’t recommend going here. It’s a waist of time and I have a feeling they would mess your car up more than what it already is.

Our sales person William Patterson was probably the nicest most genuine person I have ran across in a long time. He didnt rush us, he kept pulling cars untill he found the right car. Thanks William u are awesome. Pj in the finance department also worked hard to accommodate are specific needs for our unique situation. He helped us figure out a way to get are Apr down 4 percent from the original Apr we were given. We wrapped it all up party style with alot of laughs while signing the papers. Great job with friendly service!Had a “check engine” light on so scheduled an appointment. Truck had a “knock” that I had checked out at another dealership a year prior, they said it was normal. Jim at Suburban said he knew exactly what was wrong and replaced 4 cam phasers, under warranty, and I had my truck back in 2 days from drop off! Highly recommend!!
The service was fine. Everything I asked for was done. However I set up an appointment and came in at the scheduled time (9:00am). And I had to call back 4 days later just to hear from the manager that they got distracted and forgot about my car. Then they called back the next day with a quote and took another 3 days to get in back to me. Over a week for brakes and a tube up front. They didnt offer anything other than an Im sorry over the phone. Be aware of how long you may be out of transportation. That week without a car was hard on my wife.
This dealership has never been anything but problems for me. The last time I had my vehicle here they lost it on their lot for a week. Its been 3 years figured Id give them another shot. Well that was a huge mistake ill never make again. My service manager nate, told me 2-3 weeks ago that something was wrong with my transmission along with the other issues. Theyve been ignoring my calls and my voice mails, not returning calls and apparently lying to me about the status of my truck. I received a call today from Mike stating that nate is out of work and the Transmission work I was diagnoses with and waiting on for the past 2 weeks was intact not my issue and still needed to be diagnosed.
Very courteous and caring staff. Mike and Jason were both very active and attentive in taking care of the manufacturer recalls repair appointment. Prompt communication during beginning and end of the service time. Will surely go back and recommend. Thank You. Keep up the great work.

Took my truck in for a 3000 dollar repair. Had a hard time getting the service advisor to call me back in a timely fashion whenever I called. When the repair was done I paid with a check and they treated me like a common criminal, they asked to drive me to my bank and get the cash out to pay with cash. They ended up having to call my bank to see there was money in my account, and made a big production out of it. I was in the market for a new truck this fall, and will go elsewhere.
My wife had an issue with her 2019 f150 as far as the oil drain plug not being tightened and a broken taillight not being properly installed. She talked to the manager Joe and he resolved the issue and had them fixed and is also having someone to come and clean the oil stains from my driveway due to the loose oil drain plug. I appreciate the manager Joe not taking advantage of my wife and resolving the issue. They gey five stars because they stand behind their customers and their work.
Bought a used 2016 Explorer here. While in for an engine light issue, the water pump failed and sent shards of metal throughout the engine. Suburban replaced the engine with one that had 37000 fewer miles. Once it was in, they realized there was an issue with that one and replaced it with one that had 47000 fewer miles than the original engine. They have been truly responsive, and everyone here has been great to deal with. Special thanks to Dave in Service. Give that man a raise! Thanks to Suburban for doing quality work with morals and the customer in mind. Ill be back.
Car issues are incredibly frustrating, Suburban makes it easy. The shuttle driver was so friendly, I may never ask for a loaner again.
