Love this store! Has great quality and numerous options. Meat, seafood, artisanal cheeses, bakery, very nice produce section and a good liquor selection. Prices are very reasonable.
Deli is supposed to be open until 8PM. I was there at 7:25 for some Pastrami and was told they were already closed. As I was still in the area I then saw the Deli Counter Person serve some salads to another Customer. I went to the service desk and told the gal there what had happened. From her response I doubt anything will happen to effect change. It will be Trigs for me from now on. I will pay more for service.
I had a very nice cashier. Her name is Jade. She was very nice and sweet. I will come back more often to see her.
Been shopping here many years and watching a trend of really bad customer service but today takes the cake Ive been buying whipped frosting from the bakery since we moved here to Stevens Point today was told they never sold this to me after driving all the way home and grabbing the container they sold it in not even a month ago tim and jerno the managers told me they no longer can sell so I will no longer shop here or any other metro market locations they have lost a loyal customer but trigs was happy to sell me whipped icing and cheaper then metro market ever charged me
Covid has been hard and scary for all of us... and we put our health in the hands of people like grocery workers hoping that they are following protocol to keep us safe. While I was in the produce area I noticed an employee stocking the shelves pull down his mask and blow his nose over the produce...and then continue after to stock the items. I couldnt help but feel sick to my stomach. I think that Metro Market needs to do some retraining of its employees if you want to keep your customers safe at a time this disease is spreading rapidly.
I wish I could give zero stars! Completely out of multiple items, and poor selection of the items they do carry. There were multiple people without masks... including an employee loitering around the checkout area. I have been a regular customer since moving to the area in 2000... not any more. The drive to Trigs is more than worth the time. When is Meiers opening?
Purchased meat n shrimp from meat counter. First off Michael didnt bother to put on gloves when packaging my shrimp. Mentioned to him he needed to put on gloves, he said back well youre not wearing gloves, proceeded to get snippy with me. Started to turn and walk away I said excuse me I also wanted to buy steaks, but told him to put on gloves. He said it will take longer, only rating this as a 3 because I talked to the manager and he went back and got me fresh shrimp. In these covid times I feel this worker shouldnt be in this department if thats how he serves customers.
Great store, always has what I need. Very clean.
Stopped by this morning for fresh bakery. Picked up a couple of other items. Proceeded to the checkout area. Only 1 lane, #1 is open. I’m waiting in line, the only person in the line. An employee who probably was suppose to be on that particular register was to busy on the phone at the service desk to check my few item out so I could be on my way. She rudely points to the self check and continued her conversation. First off I’m not employed by your store so why should I check out my own groceries. I’m very disappointed in your store and employee. Perhaps a little more fave to face interactions and less self checking would be better.
Wonderful customer service. Always have items that I need in stock. Food is great.
Open more than two registers when theres 10 people waiting in line! I walked away from a cart with over $100 worth of items in it. I refuse to do self-checkout when Im paying full prices for the items I buy. And if you have such contempt for your customers that you cant open more than two registers for checkout when there is over 10 people waiting in line, Ill take my business elsewhere.
They are requiring masks yet even some employees arent wearing them. I wish they would be more concerned. The pandemic is worse. These guys have a sign saying masks required but they will let you in. We now are much worse off with a local death and these guys are not helping.Enforce the maskless. Police dont care. They are maskless too. Ive been in contact with someone hospitalized. Should I come without a mask too? I feel okay. This review has been updated since the first post in June. A high school worker was mentioning her fear of having to go. Well... if people would put on masks and if it was enforced we wouldnt be in this mess.
Worst customer service ever. employees will run you over just to go to the bathroom (pre covid 19) the worst the is the lady in the floral dept. always gives my children and i nasty looks, yet to others she can apparently smile. asked for a custom bouquet once, literally handing the flowers and vase i wanted and she acted as if i was asking for a kidney. the only superstars are the ones by the self checkout steadily cleaning and greeting after every customer. they deserve a raise. the florist should be fired.
Happy endings here
I have enjoyed shopping at your store for many years. But are you kidding me to have an open deli. I have worked in the food industry for more than 25 years. I have taken and stayed up on food safety. I have see people be as bold as to eat a sample right off the serving spoon. I have lost my appetite for you new setup.
Masks are required, however this is just in theory. Not only are they allowing customers to deliberately endanger people with their bare faces, but employees can be seen handling deli meats with their mouth visibly exposed behind their loose masks.Pre-covid:Always pack your own bags when you shop here. The last three times Ive shopped here, my bags have broken and food been destroyed before it even gets to my house. This store does not train their employees at all, and the teenagers packing your bags will inevitably be shoving bananas at the bottom of a bag with six cans of soup on top.
Been shopping here since I moved to town about a year and a half ago. Today was the third time I happened to pull out produce I bought the day before just to find it completely rotten. Have now been sitting on hold for half an hour waiting for a manager to answer the phone. The first time I got a rotten mango. Thought oops my bad. Second time was rotten carrots. Carrots either have to sit for a few weeks or be frozen to get floppy. Went to the store to return them only to find all the carrots floppy and the carrots waiting to be stocked sitting in a box of ice. Somebody was too lazy to bring the produce from outside to keep it from freezing and the store to cheap to throw out a box of already rotten food. There have been other times where I have looked at their sale produce only to find that it is rotten. From already brown cauliflower to wrinkled, soft jalapenos. It takes longer than it should to find produce at this store I feel comfortable buying. Today it is a bag of peaches. Bought them yesterday with the intentions of eating them after dinner tonight. Pulled them out of the fruit drawer in the fridge and the whole bag was completely rotten. I have now been on hold for 40 minutes.
I love this Copps. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The store is always nice and clean. They have a great variety of groceries, including stuff you cant find other places.
This is a review of their delivery service. Their competitor delivers outside of the Stevens Point area but Metro Market does not. It is too bad. I used to do all my shopping there but will no longer be a patron
Merchandise is easy to find. Nice clean, brightly lit store. Beautiful produce. Wide aisles. Fast check out
Fresh squeezed orange juice is amazing! The bakery gives a free cookie to little kids each visit if you stop. Staff are always friendly and helpful, especially in the produce section when I cant find something unique. Produce usually lasts a good life. If you do have any issues with your food, the returns are simple. But, the OJ -freshly squeezed is hands down the best!
Went to get change for quarters and the cashier lady told me to go somewhere else even though she had no one behind me in line. She acted as if she had better things to do then to help me with something that would take 2 minutes tops.
The best looking meat and deli cases I have seen in any store. The whole store was well lit and clean. It really makes me up my bar on what a good store should look like. Also the employees all were kind and helpful and polite. This is not a Wal-Mart!
Its my favorite place. Its clean and friendly. There is just a few thing I cant find and have to go somewhere else to get it. No problem. I live 2 blocks away from another market and I rather go to COPPS
They always seem to have great sales and an amazing produce section! Love their meat/steaks as well!
Awesome selection of all grocery items you can imagine! Great customer service too! Tommy, one of the managers there is GREAT!
Great Store, best deals in town, but it seems inventory of items is always out.
Pretty standard grocery store with a deli. Great produce selection. One of the nicer grocery stores in the area
Friendly staff, fair selection. Customer service quite helpful. Unfortunately potatoes quality lately is so poor and fruit selection is limited. Some good products are not longer available.
Love the size of the store. Wish they offered more generic brands, since some products are a bit pricey and the store is far from me. Very clean and helpful employees.
Busy as hell and pure chaos.
Copps is a very good place to buy things and its bakery is the BEST! I would recommend it very much. I go to Copps every week for grocerys and the bakery!
Metro Market is my favorite grocery store in town. The overall selection is good. The Deli department is great. The meat department is decent. The Produce is the best in town.Prices are fair and often cheaper than Trigs. The employees arent this stores strong point. No one has ever been outright rude to me... just seemingly indifferent.I hope you dont mind Self Check-Out...
I have been shopping at Copps for many many years. I always enjoyed the experience. Not so much on the new Metro Market. i dont believe this store even has a manager. I was there at 5 oclock,2 checkers lines of at least seven or 8 carts. The self checkouts were not working well. A lot of unhappy people at the Market today.
Store is clean, staff is professional & always seems to be stocked. Only issue Ive seen is how busy it is! The new self check outs seem to be helping with that though. Good store overall!
Everyone is always very kind and helpful. Holly is an AMAZING manager. Pharmacy staff is out of this world! Daniel and Michael are always so helpful with perscriptions and any questions patients have. Store is located very close to me for convenient shopping, good prices and easy perscription pick up! Excellent rating! I would HIGHLY recommend!
Love copps, best place to grocery shop. Store brand is amazing, but the store can be packed at times. Still worth the wait.
Whomever changed the recipe for the deli coleslaw should be brought up on felony charges. If this is a Kroger thing...no thanks. Also, regularly out of paper bags (can’t stand plastic) and MAJOR stocking issues. C’mon store manager, please get it together or you can find me at Trig’s.
Copps is my normal grocery store. I like the variety they carry in the shelves. I appreciate that the produce section has an abundance of organics and occasionally you’ll see something really special. A couple of months ago I saw they even had dragonfruit for a short period of time.Their meat and seafood isn’t great. The steaks frequently look like they were miscut and have minimal marbling. Many times the only salmon available is farm-raised Atlantic salmon. Very seldom will you find anything like swordfish or scallops. I guess if the only meat you eat are ground beef and chicken you’ll probably be satisfied. The bakery section at Copps always has great treats available. They recently opened up self-checkouts which I think is great for when I need to grab something quick. Lately it seems like they need help, the service can be hit or miss.
Everything is fresh. I dont like the location. But its a nice place to grocery shop. For location I go to Trigs. 90 percent of time.
Good variety of foods. Never enough checkout lines open. I think they want customers to check out themselves, but I think they should keep people employed, not replace with machines.
Love all the variety in this store. We have one one in the town where I live, but no comparison to the Copps in Stevens Point. Ill be coming back again.
Since the new company took over it has just steadily gone downhill. The selection in most departments has gone way down. Im assuming to make room for the huge housewares section and Starbucks they put in.The produce is hit and miss, dont buy any fruit on sale because it is going bad. I dont know how much money Ive wasted buying fruit and veggies just to have them spoil in the next day or two.Same thing with the meat department, if its on sale its most likely because its already old. And the meat is so full of water now that by the time you cook it out its half the size or smaller, than it was when you started. One evening we were there and there was a cart by the self checkout by the deli with really old withered veggies on top and raw chicken and beef on the bottom of the cart. It was still there when we left.Dont get me started on the self serve everything there. I saw an employee tending the salad bar, twice he cleaned up something that spilled on the floor with his hand and didnt change his glove. Just went right back to sticking that hand into food on the bar. Also wiping his nose with the back of his hand and not changing his glove. I also an employee talk to this guy for a minute, grab something from the salad bar barehanded and popped it in her mouth as she walked away. There are too many employees who have no idea what they are supposed to be doing. At any given time most of them are just standing around looking off into space or a group of them are standing around chatting. Ive heard the deli workers complaining loudly that no one was scheduled to work that night until the time the deli actually closed. Leads me to think even the management dont know what they are doing. The sale prices are a joke, they inflate the regular price and then put in on sale for the regular price. Or even more funny they knock off two cents and call it a clearance price.Copps used to mean value and quality service, this new company is too busy trying be an Instagram worthy Trader Joes. And yes, before anyone asks I do shop there a lot. I dont have a car and Metro is just down the street. I sadly dont have a lot of choice. I just want to have a nice place to shop, with good food and good service. Metro Mart unfortunately, isnt it. ☹
Not enforcing mask policy. They state you must wear one, but every time there are multiple people not wearing one.
Extremely disappointed in the customer service at this store. We asked 5 people for assistance finding a few items that the website said was available at the store, all 5 people shrugged off the responsibility of finding the items, refused to search their system to check and one person even walked away in the midst of the search. Ive done customer service for 10 years and the people working here are a disgrace to the store. Would rate 0 Stars if possible, shop somewhere else!
The volume of plastic wasted here is truly astounding. Not every product needs to be put into hard plastic clamshells or disposable bags. People need to pay attention to more than just Trumps latest debacle. Plastics are a threat that we can, and need to, address now.
Good sales, good deals, everything I need in a grocery store. Decent vegan options too.
Slow checkouts. Very friendly deli staff. Awesome liquor department if you cant find it there you dont need it.
Nice wide aisles make getting around easy. Its organized along the lines of European markets.
Dont eat out of the deli specially with a woohoo sticker on it
When shopping at Copps we know we will find what we are looking for. Always clean and prices are low. Love the store.
Assistant Manager, front desk and customer service help line off the website treaded me terrible and they all had different answers to my questions and was hung up on twice by the assistant manager and the help line
Love shopping at Copps and havent really had any problems shopping there. Sales can be nice and can usually find what we need. With the recent remodeling and moving of aisles it is pretty confusing and some placements dont seem to make sense but I know well get used to it. One last thing, please teach Mark how to bag. We had a glass bottle that after bagging he put it in the cart 8n a way where I was surprised it didnt break. He also bagged everything randomly together which couldve been bad for certain products and made it harder to carry certain bags. Glad we didnt get eggs.
Wide variety of groceries, excellent produce and meat departments. Clean, well organized, and reasonable prices.
Ive always enjoyed shopping at Copps over Trigs. I love the various items that they carry way better than any other place.
Nice clean store. Great deli, hot bar, bakery and meat/seafood department.
Even with Kroger owning them now, Copps still manages to have the worst produce around! Even the pre-packaged salads were mostly brown.. Now that takes real talent...
Beautiful store that has it all for fixing any type of meal!!
Watch your receipts!! Went twice this week and was overcharged both times on sale items! Went back the 1st time cause was overcharged $3 on one item. Just now, 50 cents so not worth the 4 miles to go back. And to add insult to injury, the celery hearts were somewhat rusty. Ho-hum.
Best market in the area. Wonderfully friendly staff, great selection, reasonable prices, and overall great experience.
Very clean, large selection, great fish fry, so big hard to find items and help at times but not always
Great sales this weekend. Fajita night for us!
Great fresh meat selection. Perishables are top notch!
I like Coops potatoes. They have the best potatoes ever.
I see all the comments regarding customer service, I havent experienced this at all...great store fresh meat and seafood at great prices. Many other unique items at fair prices as well, very clean store.
Convenient, Reasonable Prices..n a wide variety of things...friendly staff...A must stop for shopping
Over priced, poor fresh fish /meat selection. Can never get help at the bakery. The deli is great.
I am the meat and seafood manager here and this is an excellent place to shop with excellent sellection and low prices
Copps has a friendly staff, clean store, and wide variety of produce and specialty foods for people with food allergies. They also sell actual king cake for Mardi Gras and not kringles labeled as king cake- and they hide the baby in the cake, unlike Trigs.
Expensive and never has the items that we need in stock. If you are looking for the basic items, you will be fine but if you want anything a little different, you will probably not find it here.
Copps Fried chicken had taken a serious nose dive over the last few months. It had become so greasy that grease actually poured out of the container. It had to be eaten with a knife and a fork, and really should have been taken back.I complained on the Copps web site and was contacted by an assistant manager who said she would look into it. She even mailed me a gift card for writing.I tried it again tonight (after several weeks) and was happy that it had improved immensely. Its still not the real crispy chicken of months ago, but it was at least edible with fingers and a napkin. Cant wait to get the CRISPY back.
Véry clean and staff very helpful.
Great store with friendly staff, always ready to help out and make your day better!
Great environment, friendly staff, great selection and excellent meat and bakery.
I like the variety available. It is always clean and inviting.
Register was slow and you need a Copps card for the best prices.
Produce is always the best in town, try their crossaint doughnuts if they have any in the bakery case. Their pre made sushi is GREAT and their deli is top notch.
Went through store quickly, liked self checkouts. Good prices
Hate the self checkout. Used it because ifi.g lines at regular checkouts. It was awful. No paper bags, only plastic. I could see having a row, but 2? How many checkouts did you give up for this walmart type experience? Plus, you are losing positive valuable customer customer contacts to this mechanized mess.
I like their fresh vegetables, and good prices.
Everything has carrageenan .. used to indice inflammatory bowel conditions and lymphomas in animal experiments. Moreover, since the metro remodel /takeover selection has decreased.
Friendly service and great fresh seafood and fresh vegetables!
Great place to shop, but pricing is getting rather high
Bad experience trying to get cereal on sale, flyer says one thing and cashier say different price. Was on sale as1.79 but rang up as 4.99, was told it was certain kind, Kelloggs or G-mills under 13oz.not true. Bad advertising. 🤔
Been shopping@ Copps since they opened on Church Street 30+ years ago. The staff have ALWAYS been kind & helpful!!Dangerously cold day TODAY ( I worked 10 hours OUTSIDE) & a worker tells me her manager instructed them to pull the hot soup.. yes it was TODAY 5:23-5:27 (ish)The community on the website has told me to grow up, things happen, & I must be wrong on my timeline.I NEVER, EVER (until today) have complained publicly about ANYTHING!I try as best I can to make someones day better, but the responses Ive been receiving stink.Boo to your lack of soup & boo to your communityAlways traveled out of my way to go to your store.. ☹️
Great selection just a little pricey
Good selection, prices, and customer service! Good meat department!
Friendly staff, good sales, lots of open registers
Clean, well stocked, friendly and helpful staff.
They always have everything you need
Great!--helped me so much today~ everyone was kind and accomidating~I am a TBI patient(brain injury)and everyone today took extra steps to help figure out what I couldnt. Keep it up!
Could use more cashiers. They have self checkouts, however when you have a cart full of groceries its better to have a real cashier.
Never enough cashiers and even when there are, there are no baggers. I should not be expected to bag my own groceries. Im not at Aldis or Sav-A-lot ! Obviously no one cares because even the employees were asking where such and such went. Checkout lines 7 people deep and the dont give a damn attitude make me wish this town had competition besides Trigs. I grew up working in 3 different grocery stores and this treatment of the customer would NEVER be tolerated. Yet, somehow, this is how it is just about EVERY time we shop there
I love that Krogers bought copps
Sale prices not marked mistakes at the cash register. What should have been 15 mins in the store ended up to be 45 mins.
Good selection but higher priced than other grocery stores
Rude male associate behind counter in meat department and associate in self checkout acted as if it was our fault that the machine kept malfunctioning. This was at the store in Stevens Point.
You can expect the store will be out of stock on many of thier flyer items, then when you get to the checkouts, youll be waiting. Thier understaffed quite often, its almost like the checkouts arent designed for any volume of customers.
