Very great service! The 2 lovely ladies who helps me stayed very late to help me purchase the car I was looking to buy, and it wasnt even a Subaru! Very caring and helpful staff! I will be sure to send other people over in the future, as I am very sure they will be happy with the kind and helpful staff!
The easiest and fastest car purchase I have ever made. Erica and Hannah are easy going but professional and efficient. I would absolutely shop there for our next vehicle.
Easiest transaction ever! We bought a used car. Dakota was our sales person and provided personal yet professional consultation. All questions were answered candidly and when a question was not fully answered, follow up was provided. The woman who worked with us in the office could not have been more helpful. She obviously understands the quirks of the car registration process at NHs various Town Clerks offices. Two specifics: she put the application form in a highly visible location in the pile of documents, literally stating, hand this to the Town Clerk. Also, she explicitly told us to make sure we brought the existing registration document to the Town Clerk so facilitate a smooth transfer - saved us hassles and money! The real proof is service after the sale, but I am confident that when service is required, we will be just as pleased.
I’m not sure what its like to buy a car here but don’t go to the service department. I was told one price then paid a different price after a snooty looking service manager told the associate i was working with to hike up the price for some reason. Then, i guess they don’t even realize the synthetic oil change i get on my 2018 impreza is scheduled for 6,000 mile intervals, not 3,000.I needed a lug nut and they sold me one that didn’t even match the rest. Also i just got my car inspected at a different dealership in VA literally 2 months ago. Somehow my brakes went from green to red in 2 months? Interesting…. Then they wanted to charge like 700 bucks all the way around for new brakes and rotor turning? This is literally the worst service i’ve ever seen out of any service department anywhere. I feel like my car is in worse shape then when i took it. Just a very toxic place, do yourself a favor and bring yours elsewhere. I for one will never visit Exeter Subaru for service or for a new vehicle. Terrible experience and very unprofessional service department.
If I could give 10 stars I would! I have never had a more easy, helpful and enjoyable experience at a dealer. I was on the hunt for a vehicle for over a year and had some bad experiences at other dealerships and almost gave up. We stopped by while we were in the area and Im so glad we did. The salesperson Ann approached us and was so knowledgeable and friendly and never pressured me at all, she listened to what I was looking for and gave me all the information I needed to make the right decision. Ann was determined to find me the car I wanted and she did! She was so prompt and helpful and reached out when she got word of the exact car color and model I was looking for coming to their location. This is the best dealer in New Hampshire hands down! The whole car buying process was enjoyable and zero stress, shoutout to Hannah for also walking us through the financial part and making it so easy! I also went for my first service and the entire service department is so friendly and helpful. I would look no further than this dealer if you are looking for a Subaru, they are the absolute BEST!
Amazing customer service! Helped us out of a jam while traveling through the state. Highly recommend them!
We went to 2 dealerships when we where looking to get into another Subaru Crosstrek after I totaled my other one on my way to work one morning. The first place tried to get us.into a Toyota that they said would be in our monthly price point. We left after that as I was looking for a Subaru not a Toyota. Exeter had one that I was interested in and they where more than happy and willing to work with us and my wife and I left that day with a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek in the price point we wanted to be in.My wife and I would like to thank Exeter Subaru and esp. Keith the guy that handled us! Thank you all so much! We love our new Crosstrek!
The best ever. Checked out our tire when we were 1000 miles from home and fixed it. Sent us on our way.
Had a great experience here the other day. Found a Crosstrek that I was interested in online and came to test drive it. Ann was friendly and professional, and made the whole car buying process super simple. This was my first time buying a car so I was really nervous but everything was so easy and I left with my new car within a few hours. My partner, who knows more about cars than me, came along and made sure to ask questions as well. Also very happy that they were able to address and fix the open recalls on the car before I drove away.
Car buying is super stressful...unless you go to Exeter. Friendly, CASUAL car buying. I walled in with the intent to get a car and less than 2 hours later, I left in my new purchase.I never was pressured, Ive bought several cars but this was by far, the easiest process of anywhere Ive been.Definitely check out Exeter, they are worth the trip!
Every time I walk through the door, they seem genuinely happy to see me. What a friendly bunch!
Kayland was great and set up the purchase so I could travel from out of state. Hannah was very efficient. The sales person Chris was disorganized and did not have time to show me the features of the new car I was buying so I was very disappointed with her
Awesome people. If your in the Market for a Subaru this should be your first and only stop.
This was seriously one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I have ever had - and I have purchased at least 10 cars in the past. When I first test drove the car, I was so impressed with the salesperson, Ann, that I knew if I went with the Outback that I would be back to buy from her. She told me EVERYTHING about this car, and I learned a lot that I wish I had known the past 5 years having owned this same car/brand! The negotiation wasnt an issue because the price was clearly stated and based on my research, quite fair. Could I have saved a few bucks playing the negotiating game somewhere else? Possibly, but again, the price was in-line with my research and not having to play the game to get a fair price was priceless. Overall, the dealership was clean and everyone seemed low key and friendly. My friend had her car detailed there while we were out test driving cars and she was also very impressed with the service dept.
Chris and Hannah took great care of me and my first experience with a dealership! Absolutely painless. I was one of those poor fools on the side of the road during that ice storm wondering how I’m going to get a good car during all this weather :) thanks to them I have the best car I’ve ever had and I’ll tell anyone about it. Thanks so much guys!!
I had the worst car buying experience ever at Exeter Subaru! Our salesman, Mitch, was rude and condescending. I was there buying a car with and for my recent college graduate son and if he hadnt had his heart set on a particular car I would have walked away for sure! Even he was appalled at Mitchs rudeness. I have since heard the same comment from a coworker who bought a car there from Mitch. My suggestion is to go to another Subaru dealership.
Customer service by Chris was excellence. There was no pressure, a 10. Worth the drive, took only two hours from start to finish. The business manager got us a great interest rate on our cross trek. Very friendly people. They freeze in the cold weather to make you feel like family. You dont wait around the show room for a long time, someone is right there to meet you and they make you feel number one!!!!!!.
Very responsive….. until you buy the car. Then you’ll get countless spam emails from them “checking in”. Meanwhile I’ve left multiple voicemails and sent countless unanswered emails asking for help from them with a question about the coverage they pushed on me. Wouldn’t recommend.
Had an amazing experience here with the help of Anne, Kayland, and Hanna! Was not pressured at all and given space and time to drive, talk about price, and see what we wanted to do. Found an amazing Jeep and they gave us a great deal and amazing info and answered all our questions honestly! I totally recommend this place!
We had a great experience. Erica was a pleasure to work with. She answered all of our questions, found the car that we wanted which we are very happy with. She also got us in and out quickly.
Pretty crowded. A lot of people buying new Subarus.
Leasing my new Subaru at Exeter Subaru has honestly been one of the best car buying experiences ever. They were upfront about everything, and worked tirelessly help me get into exactly the vehicle I wanted. And when that particular vehicle wasnt available, they ordered it for me without hesitation! Keith gave a great demonstration of all of the features, and Chris had it all ready to go for me when I came in to finalize the deal. Really great experience and I likely wont look elsewhere in the future. Thanks Exeter Subaru!PS Hannah is one of the friendliest Finance People ever. Took the time to explain the value behind the additional coverage, but didnt make me feel like I wronged her when I declined it.
My wife and I recently purchased our first Subaru through Exeter subaru. I would highly recommend, as our experience was very positive. Got a fair price on our car, lifetime power train warranty that Exeter Subaru adds is a major incentive. Sales staff was very friendly and knowledgable. I would definitely recommend purchasing from this dealership!
I bought a used 2015 Honda Civic just over two weeks ago. About a week and a half into owning it I rolled down the drivers window and the window fell into the door. I was able to get it back up however, the window was not working any longer. I called Exeter Subaru on 2/9 and they were more than happy to make an appointment and fix it. Due to a possible COVID exposure they said they were unable to get me an appointment until the following week. Which was completely fine.Yesterday, 2/13 I closed my drivers side door and yet again the window fell into the door. But this time it shattered.. I called Exeter Subaru and was told they would no longer fix it because it was caused by ice and I should have bought the 3rd party warranty. There are a few problems with this:1. They were perfectly happy fixing the problem when it didnt cause more issues. But once it caused more damage they blamed it on me and refused to fix it. How can you determine it was ice without even looking at it? There was obviously another issue that lead to the window shattering. Hence why I made an appointment 5 days prior.2. They noted due to the colder weather they dont typically check the windows when receiving new used cars. What else are they not checking because of the cold?My suggestion? Go somewhere else to buy a vehicle. Somewhere that stands by their product.
SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS POOR. I have been in several times to repair the sound system in my 2019 WRX due to the stereo needing to be replaced since it isnt directing power to the rear speakers. The dealership tells me all the speakers are working properly and is not willing to provide anymore unless I pay $135/hr. The 1st time I came in they told me there was an issue and they would get back to me after reaching out to other dealerships. This was not done. I contacted them months later and they had me bring the car in AGAIN. Same results with the dealer not being able to find an issue and not able to determine if the radio needs to be replaced. Poor service and they arent willing to put the effort in diagnosis on an obvious problem.
Just bought a beautiful certified used impreza at this facility. Very pleasant experience. Highly recommend this dealer.
Chris Tarmey was great to work with throughout the whole process. Although not the most mechanically-minded, she did know all about the various features and was able to speak knowledgeably on the inventory that they had on hand which was quite excellent. We were visiting from out of state and we were able to complete the entire buying process in only a few hours. They got us a great APR and were even flexible on a few things being emailed from home and we walked out with a great deal on a 2017 Subaru Outback. Overall, recommend Exeter Subaru for your car buying needs!
We have never enjoyed the car buying experience but have to say this was one of the top two fantastic experiences we have had with dealerships! Our salesperson (Chris Tarmey) was wonderful - very friendly and easy to work with. She knew pretty much everything about the Outback we were purchasing and even though we had done our research before hand we still learned a lot about our new car! This is our 6th Subaru over many years and we were very glad we found Exeter Subaru! Great job! Looking forward to coming back and working with the service team!
No reason not to buy here definitely recommend
Poor experience. I recommend going to the Subaru Dealers up in Newfields, Rochester or Manchester instead.
What a great dealership. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
All the staff at Exeter Subaru were absolutely wonderful! They did not pressure us and helped us find a great Outback at a great price. They were super informative on the vehicle specs and safety features as well as hospitable. Special thanks to Chris and Keith for all your help - we love our new Subaru!
There was a recall on my Subaru 2019 Outback for the fuel pump. I brought my car to the Exeter Subaru dealership near my home. They replaced the fuel pump. When I return home I noticed my rear back camera was beeping, and the lower left screen was red. There was nothing there. I tried wiping the camera but this did not help. The next morning I went to fill up my tank (as I was told to have the tank only
Didnt intend to buy a new car on my first visit- Two hours later a new one followed me home.As painless as the 2 covid shots!
Every aspect of our experience couldn’t have been better. No disrespect but people don’t like the experience or the pressure of buying a car. From the moment we met Keith we knew that wasn’t going to be the case and it wasn’t. Keith was extremely knowledgeable of all our questions, he was extremely polite and not pushy at all. He walked us through everything from the test drive and through the purchasing of our vehicle. When I need to look for a car for myself( this was for my wife) I will be hopefully working with Keith again.
After multiple terrible experiences will never be returning even though Exeter Subaru is far closer to me than others. Waiting 5 minutes for service associates to finish a personal conversation? Ok, not the worst thing in the world. Being told my brakes are at 2 mm when it was confirmed they are in fact at 4 and 5 mm, unacceptable. Go to McGovern or TriCity. We tried to give Exeter Subaru a chance multiple times, but this place is absolute garbage.
There arent enough positive words to share about this dealership. I purchased a new-to-me vehicle from them a few weeks ago. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from everyone - especially Kris (Chris, maybe, I do apologize) and Hannah (I apologize if I spelt her name wrong too!). These two wonderful ladies made the entire process stress-free, simple, and as quick as they could possibly make it. I even got to drive my new car off of the lot the same day a few hours later. Since Ive had this car for a little while now I can vouch that this dealer is also honest and sells reliable cars, new and used. I found the car I ended up buying on a listing online, and it was the same if not better when I actually looked at in in person. So basically, this dealer isnt out to scam people - you actually feel like you get your moneys worth. Needless to say, I was shocked at just how good this service was. Before coming to this dealer I dealt with a huge hassle from another dealer in Natick MA. I was feeling extremely anxious and afraid that I was going to be scammed at any place I went to because of this one dealership in Natick, but Subaru Exeter really changed my mind and I will definitely look into their stock in the future when I am looking to purchase another vehicle in 6-10 years or whatever it happens to be. I would definitely recommend this dealer to all my friends and family. Thank you again Kris and Hannah, youre the best! :)
Everyone was very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable. This was my first car purchase and they were helpful through every step without ever once feeling pushy like car salesmen stereotypes. I loved my experience there.
I dont lease or buy, I repair what I have. What I have is an 04 outback wagon with 150,000 miles (not so much) that needed a freshening up. Every Subaru dealer in the Massachusetts region where I live pushed me to the showroom with the tiniest service issue, like check engine lights or when I wanted the timing belt replaced.. Not at Exeter. I wanted the car fixed and Tom in service shepherded my Outback through a new timing belt, radiator, and other significant repairs in the past few months, restoring the car to like-new mechanical condition. Id never consider a private garage, you want the guys that fix a thousand of these, not OJT at a little guy, no offense towards little guys. Ive taken trips up and down the East coast without incident at high interstate speeds with complete confidence in Exeter Subarus work. For the expense of a down payment I get another 100,000 miles from this beast. But I would only trust Exeter and Toms guys to do all this.
Chris helped us and she was amazing, start from finish. We went in for our appointment, test drive our new car and left with it within two hours. If you go to exeter subaru I recommend asking for Chris.
The overall experience was the best I’ve gone through so far. I’ll be a returning customer without a doubt. Great friendly staff, nice facility and snacks. I had a vision of how a car buying experience should be and your team delivered. From the online person who answered my questions to DJ who was very supportive and your manager who was very respectful and genuine. DJ also took the time to save something important to me that i left in my trade. Kudos to you and your team, well done!
Great people not too orientated for sales.
Exeter Subara provided me with great customer service and a vehicle I am so happy with! Chris and Hannah made the process easy and stress free! Helene
Great service! Very acommodating!
If I could give negative stars I would. Please be careful when working with this dealership online or over the phone. I was given pricing on a vehicle late in the day and had questions about their life time power train warranty. The sale manager did not call me back that night or in the morning. I then received a call back from the online sale rep who told me there incentives have changed and cant honor the price. I then got a call from the GM who basically told me hes being told I was harassing the service department because I called and asked for the Sales Manager. I was then told by the GM that pricing online or over phone can be changed at any time if they decide not to do the deal. He told me they will be out of new vehicles soon and had to change the price they gave me. Only way to lock in a price is to buy, meaning they dont want you shopping around. This is something Ive never had to deal with. If you are shopping around and getting pricing please be careful with what they give you, they will change it once you get there. I told them clear Bait and Switch which he told me no its not a bait and switch and really i dont know what bait and switch is. However go online and look up the meaning which basically states customer gets one pricing goes in and its different. Again Buyers be aware its worth spending more money and buying somewhere else.
I have been a loyal customer of the service department for years and recently traded in my old vehicle and took home a new to me Forester. They went above and beyond what I could have expected to meet my high demands and make me happy. I can only hope that anyone in the area who has Subaru needs finds their way to this dealership.
They tried to tack on extra features to the truck I wanted that did not exist on the truck in order for them to keep the price where they wanted. They told me Nadaguides was not up to date and only used at auctions (which is a lie because Ive used nada to get a great deal on my jeep down the street at Exeter Volvo) friendly staff but whoever is making up the numbers is willing to lie to make a sale)
Bad experience today. Instead of doing a proper walk around for a new car delivery a finance manager slapped our plates on the car and lead us to the car parked randomly with all other cars. After I complained about the lack of a proper walk around and new car delivery the sales manager instead of apologizing and fixing the mistake started coming up with a million excuses why they couldn’t do a walk around. The last straw was that as I was driving away from the dealership I noticed that the gas tank was only quarter full instead of full as is customary. No one ever bothered to return our phone call about that either. I’ll definitely contact Subaru about this bad experience. Mind you we were a repeat business too. I’ll never go back there again not even for maintenance.
The staff was very cordial and knowledgeable. They were able to squeeze me in last minute and finished performing maintenance on the vehicle much sooner than anticipated. This was the best overall experience I have ever had at a dealership.
My current car had reached 140k miles and I decided to make a change... so I needed to go car shopping. One of the key features I wanted was AWD and I didnt really want a truck or boxy SUV, so that narrowed it down a bit. I wanted something fun to drive (I have a LONG commute), a little sporty, reliable, maybe a couple bells and whistles and hopefully cheaper to maintain.I visited 3 dealerships for test drives... While I cant say that the other dealerships treated me poorly, there was something about Ann at Exeter Subaru that just felt right. She was almost immediately more like an old friend that happens to sell cars than someone who sells cars that wants to be your friend (or not). Over the course of a few days of me trying to figure out what car would be best for me (and my budget), Ann patiently answered all of my questions (some of them probably more than once), but never once pressured me into talking numbers. Then once I had made the decision about exactly which model and color I wanted it wasnt available on their lot. What to do?? Get a different model or get a different color or fewer features? Then I found one online at another dealership, with a really good price - but it turns out it had already been sold, so they couldnt get it for me. Exeter Subaru found another one in VT and matched the price of the first one I had found. SOLD!Im not sure I can say that buying a car is something I ever look forward to, but Ann and Exeter Subaru made the experience as close to stress-free as possible and I would highly recommend Ann to anyone looking for a (new) car.
Review updated - Stars upgraded: I purchased a vehicle, had issues with it immediately, including a nail in the tire before I even drove off the lot. I didnt know it was a nail because the tires were fine, and made it all the way home and I checked them several times and the air was perfect. I was told the day I bought it that I could have my mechanic look at it on Monday and if I was not confident in the purchase I could simply return it. I didnt find out that I actually had a nail in my tire until I had my mechanic look at it on Monday. My mechanic had some overall concerns with the condition of the vehicle, the age of the battery and tires, and a scraping sound coming from the breaks. So, I came back per the terms within 3 days, within less than 30 miles (even though I had 300 miles I could have driven it per the agreement), and the sales manager was completely dismissive of my concerns. If they werent dismissive, this could have been a very different discussion. I followed all of their terms, yet they seem to be dismissing my complaints, and putting me off until another day even though I only have three days and have already been with the car for two. After a somewhat heated exchange, Darren, the general manager at least took the car in to remove the nail, and check the battery and tires. He replaced the battery, and removed the nail. He was not willing to do anything for the tires, nor the scraping sound, but we loved the car and did not feel like investing more time into it so we had little choice but to accept it.Overall, no matter what was told during the sales discussion, they threw the contract in my face and mention that it was not in writing. It was on the listing, and I discussed this with them several times, and that I could bring the car back if I was not happy based on my mechanics recommendations. This was one of the main selling points, and I clarify things multiple times. I left confident that I could either return the vehicle, or more likely simply exchange it, which is something I was more likely to do if issues arose.Responding to comments: The response to my review was written before my recent updates above. First, the exchange was with the sales manager, who then got the general manager to help. Its the sales manager that was dismissive. This review was written at the time I was waiting, prior to the issue being partly addressed. I had not had time to even think about everything before the company decided to respond.Second, since my email was brought up,this is what was said: shortly after leaving the tire light came on. Im not sure if its actually low, Ill probably take and see if the tire pressure is good, But that is one other little since it happened immediately after leaving. I was using voice dictation by phone, but I did say immediately after, which was skipped in their response. To be clear, it was on when I was pulling out of the dealership.Overall, Darren responded to my concerns, addressed some of them, and was reasonable in that he was going to allow me to exchange the car if I was not happy with it, so ultimately, he gave us the choice and addressed the situation so I feel this warrants and increase from 1 star. I am still waiting on another item to be addressed (a second key), once that is done, I will revisit my review. I just want to ensure everything that was promised prior to signing the purchase agreement is taken care of. UPDATE: Received 2nd Key, so that issue was addressed.
Only a one time customer but truly impressed. Service was great, in and out quick for airbag recall on 2009 subaru forester 173,000 miles going strong great car great service dept. Technician did fast professional job and so did service advisor, Lisa? Sorry bad with names. The customer waiting area was excellent good coffee, water, snacks. A casual area for relaxing and a separate area with plenty of counter space + office chairs for business. Thanks guys for a nice professional experience. Sincerely Tim Benjamin Raymond NH .
I have a Subaru 2012 Outback with 175K miles. I had the clutch valve assembly go on it. I was struggling with trading it in/selling it for a new/used vehicle or putting the money into it. I worked with the team at the front desk in service to figure out the best outcome as it is recommended that the torque converter be replaced with the valve assembly. This would have really been costly and more than the blue book trade in value. They worked with me to determine a best course of action. For me that was an inspection sticker, clutch valve replacement and wait on the torque converter and get to my personal goal of 200K on the car. Without replacing the torque converter I run the risk of destroying the new valve converter. That was the risk I decided to take. Overall a great group to work with in servicing my Subaru
Exeter Subaru has always been great! This is my third leased vehicle from them. The process was seamless and always great value. I will definitely be back when this lease expires.
UPDATE: I was contacted by the GM and my issues seem to have been resolved. It is something that should never have happened, but he seemed sincere about fully resolving the issue so Im raising my rating from 1-star to 3-stars and will re-evaluate after the service.Im shocked at how much they dont value my time. Set up an appointment for a recall. After leaving my car overnight, they call me to inform me they dont have the part in stock. Other then Im sorry we make mistakes I get nothing. No discount on other service. No loaner car.The feeling I get is I need to give them lots of business, then, maybe, theyll treat me great vs showing me how great they are and earning my business and loyalty. Im on my 3rd Honda across the street at Honda Barn and do all my service there because they are great. Its unfortunate that the local Subaru is so bad. Luckily this service experience has saved me from buying my new 2017 Subaru here.Im really just dumbfounded and will vote with by bringing all my business elsewhere.
Exeter Subaru has always given great service. We had a recall on the airbags and they were very accommodating in taking care of the situation in a very timely manner. They even washed our care which is NOT part of the service at the time. Great staff and we thank you for your service! Dont hesitate to visit Exeter Subaru.
Stop contacting me.Car is fine.Already listed problems w/picking up the vehicle.
After shopping at other Subaru dealerships, it was so nice to walk in and be welcomed at Exeter Subaru. I was able to tell Ann what I was looking for, and as an informed shopper, I had done my research. There was no back and forth with shady numbers behind closed doors. They were up-front and honest, and were able to meet me where I wanted to be. It was an easy, straightforward experience...I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a Subaru!
I gave up Subaru after 25 years. Service department come up with impossible tactics to get customers this tactic make me gave up my favorite car i ever driven watch out them they are $$$$ good luck!!
We did not buy a car here so I am just reviewing the sales staff we worked with and the dealership from a browsing perspective.Went there with my daughter to look at a Honda Fit. Sales person was very pleasant to work with answered our questions and when she couldnt was able to find the answers for us. We did take the car for a test drive and discuss price dealer fees etc and we had a few back and forth negotiations. The manager very helpful and when we explained we wanted to look at other cars located at other dealerships they didnt protest or complain. No high pressure sales or typical dealer tricks. They offered a good car at a good price and although we did buy elsewhere it was simply due to my daughter preferring a civic over the fit. We had already dealt with a few other dealerships and this one was really refreshing. I will definitely consider them in the future.
Great spot, I ordered a part and messed up on the part # I gave them.. no prob, helped me out and were awesome!
Bought a used car with decent miles a huge dent in door and no car mats at highest price ever. Less than 10,000 miles later turbo blew x2 while in shop. Engine was never cared for and the Chevy dealersip (cause it was a chevy) stated it needed a whole new engine. Call and spoke with manager who laughed at me for asking them to pay for repair costs (over 4,500) Instead wanted me to pay for tow from Laconia to Strathem to see if they could fix it, even though the service manager said she couldnt. Would never tell anyone to buy a car there and my friends cannot believe how bad they treat customers.
Lisa (service) and Joe (technician) were very helpful in getting me in right away for a safety inspection. I didnt even have time to read a magazine in the awesome customer lounge (nice snacks). I highly recommend Exeter Subaru.
Borught my car in to have the summer tires swapped on. Picked it up and both driver side rims had become severely damaged somehow. While I thought they would tell me to go pound sand and prove they damaged them, the service manager said they would make it right and replaced both rims. A refreshing experience in comparison to other dealerships Ive worked with!
I love this place! Went in for a test drive and bought a new car! Staff is wonderful to work with. Service department staff is pleasant and accomadating. Service could clean your car better before returning it to you.
Drove 100 miles to this dealer with cash and a car picked out and a deal made with Kayland. Kayland was busy training someone and could not show face I worked with a different lady. Even when the deal was going down hill still no Kayland. That was the first thing i didnt like. Im ready to buy the car but the car making a sound coming from underneath. I told the lady thats working with me and her response is well that cant be it was just serviced. Eventually when i started to walk away she drove car herself and says she does not hear anything. Im told they will look at it and call me that day or the next day. I never got a call and when I tried to call I got no answer no call back. One other thing that sucks about this place is any question you ask will be answered with let me ask my sales manager pretty sure thats just a silly sales tactic.
Ann and Eileen made the experience and process of getting my 2017 WRX enjoyable and easy. Absolutely love the car and highly recommend buying a car through them!
Salesperson Max B was an absolute pleasure to work with, as was the entire Exeter team. I visited other dealerships and had made inquiries with every Subaru dealership in the area. Max stayed on top of the sale, reaching out in a reasonable manner every other day to check in with where I was in the process. He made himself easily available to me as a customer and made time for appointments and phone calls with me when I had questions. I cannot say the same for other dealers. Max made the process fun, humorous, and enjoyable, with refreshing honesty in the car buying process. Dave Flowers was also a delight to work with when it came time for paperwork. He was extremely patient with me, this being my first auto loan, and made sure that I thoroughly understood every line item of my loan. I am very appreciative of their effort, and I absolutely LOVE my new Forester.
Ann Italia and all of her support people were terrific. They clearly outlined the options available to us regarding the lease trade-in program, the car itself, and what the different lease options would cost us. On top of all that, they gave us a great deal on the car.
This is my first Subaru, so I needed (and received) a lot of useful information for making my final decision. Max was incredibly helpful in explaining all the features of a Subaru. Service was courteous and friendly, with no aggressive sales pitch. I would highly recommend the dealership to anyone in the market for a car. Love my new Subaru!
The best part of my car shopping experience at Exeter Subaru was absolutely no pressure to buy. Thank you Kasey for helping me without making me feel like I had to buy a car that day. You recognized that I did not find exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely come back again.
What a wonderful experience I had leasing my new Forester with Nick. He answered all my questions, got me a great deal and I was in and out in a jiffy! Im new to New Hampshire and a I usually have friends or family with me to assist, no need I felt comfortable enough to take the deal and trade cars that day. Thanks Nick,I will recommend you to all my new friends.
I don’t normal do reviews on companies, but I was so beyond disgusted with the way I was treated that I had to do something. Three weeks ago, I brought in my vehicle to have it looked at. The horn was no longer working and for safety reasons I wanted it to be fixed. When I brought in my car, I left it there for the day for it to be repaired. I received a phone call from Subaru telling me my vehicle was not safe to drive, he feared for my safety. The brakes and routers were basically gone. This scared me, and I told them to please fix whatever is needed because I drive my car long distances for my job.I trusted them since I have been going to this shop since 2016 and they have never led me astray. I picked up my vehicle, they went over the repairs and that everything else looked great. Two weeks later I brought in my car for my yearly state inspection. To my surprise I was told it did not pass inspection, I would need to get three-wheel bearings replaced. Two weeks ago, I was told my wheel barring where ok and now I’m being told that my vehicle will not pass because of this? I was starting to feel the trust go.They repaired my wheel bearings and my car was returned, I was told to return after 100 miles and that they would put a sticker on and it would take less than 15 minutes. When I returned two days later I was told this would take 45 minutes and need to be re-inspected all together. I left my vehicle still not feeling well about what has happened the previous two times. When my car was returned to me, I immediately noticed that my car had scratches as if someone grazed it on a concrete wall. I knew immediately that it was done by them and brought it to the service desk attention. I was told that they would look at the cameras and a manager would call me. I also noted that there was trash in my car and an oil substance on my vehicle’s seats. The manager did NOT call me, I called them after three days. Frustrated, I spoke to the manager and I could tell she did not believe me. She asked me to come in for the day and I set up an appointment with her the next day.The next day happened to be raining and I was late. I left a message at the service desk asking to reschedule and was assured the manager would call me back to set up a new appointment. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK and my call has not been returned.I’m extremely upset, I feel like they used scare tactics on me because I’m a woman and left me feeling like I can’t trust their establishment, I do not suggest them to anyone
My experience buying a car at Exeter Subaru was a great one. I started by setting an appointment for a test drive, Kayland was very respectful of my wishes when it came to contact (email only as it is tough for me to be on the phone at work). My appointment started off great as I was greeted by Kayland and introduced to Hannah as my sales person.Hannah worked with me and got a test drive going right away. She let me take as long as I needed on the test drive and answered all of my questions. After the test drive, we began the negotiation process as I was interested in the vehicle. Hannah gave me some initial numbers and I countered back with a number that I thought was fair for both sides. To my surprise, Hannah came back agreeing to my number immediately, negotiation took all of 5 minutes and was absolutely painless. This was much appreciated!Finance of course tried to sell me on some additional products (its their job, I get it!) But they were not overly pushy and were respectful of my decision to decline some products.Overall, I was in and out in about 3 hours with a new (to me) car that I couldnt be happier with.I truly recommend the folks over at Exeter Subaru and appreciate their help in my purchase.
They were great, and patient . Great sales staff to work with.
I have had my Subaru services at another Subaru dealership but didnt even get the fraction of the service I got from these people. I had such a great experience. From the phone call to schedule my appointment to when I left, I was treated with consideration and professionalism.I was told that the serving was going to take about two hour, but knowing I had a 3 1/2 month old with me, they had my car finished in an hour. Josh and Kyle were very welcoming and kept me up to date on what was happening with car and what/if my car needed to be done to make sure it was safe for me and my family. Absolutely the best experience by far from a dealership. Keep it up guys!
They backed out of it when i wanted to take the truck to be inspected before completing purchase, after i had put down a deposit a week& a half before. Said i could bring a mechanic to their lot to look at it, but that they would not allow me to drive it to a separate business to be properly inspected.Could not be more obvious that they had been about to sell me a car with major defects. Otherwise why back out of letting me take the car to be inspected before purchasing?
When we arrived they were extremely busy. Multiple people came up to us to tell us how sorry that they were that they were not able to get to us faster. Ann eventually freed up and was able to take us for a test drive. She was very knowledgable and when I drove a WRX and through that the road noise was more then I was willing to deal with she recommended another car for us to test drive. Ultimately we did not buy a Subaru but the experience was fantastic and if I am ever in the market for a Subaru in the future I will be back for sure.
Zach Hawkins was my product specialist and he was very nice and informative. Dan then helped with my financing and while we couldnt work something out today I will definitely be returning. Best Subaru dealership Ive been too 5/5.
Unfortunately, my car broke down while I was on vacation. Most places I called weren’t able to get to my car until the next day, but these guys agreed to take me right in. Josh from service was very friendly and he described each and every small repair they made in great detail. If I lived here, I would start using this dealer for maintenance regularly.
Just bought a Crosstrek from Max. Great guy. Down-to-earth. Not a car salesman, but a man who happens to sell cars. I love to negotiate, and am very blunt. I like to think I know a lot of sales tricks/maneuvers; we were able to side-step (most of?) those and just do business. No BS.Surrounding sales and other staff seemed to be similar -- down-to-earth and ready to work with/for customers. Of course, products are excellent and prices seemed to be a reasonable starting point. Check them out. :)
Couldnt be happier with the service. Very down to earth sales team & leadership, treated my wife and I very well and put us in a great car at a great price. Highly recommended.
The service department was really thorough with my older subaru and it was a really good experience even with all of the covid precautions in place. Jesse the service advisor was really nice and knowledgeable and took a lot of his time to explain everything to me. I went in because i was recommended by another dealer to have a repair done that could not even be performed on my vehicle, which was a mistake on that dealers part. The car had many other issues I had been blissfully ignorant to and the service dpt. gave the car a complimentary multi point inspection revealing many of the issues. They outlined the costs of each one and were thoughtful enough to tell me which ones were most important instead of pressuring me to have them all done. I had 1.1k in work done and it was pain in the butt work Im sure, seized calipers in front, rusted out rotors, it was pretty bad. I expected it to take a couple days work, but they called me the day after they identified the issues and everything was completed. Ill admit I was skeptical of all the new repairs but Jesse knew what he was talking about so I trusted him. Im glad I did, there is a huge difference in the car, no terrible screeching, brakes are not sponges, and the car holds a lot more momentum as well. Really pleased and glad I went.
Stopped in to look at the new Ascents, not ready to buy. Salesman was very respectful of that. He showed me the car, answered my questions, and gave me his card in case I need anything else or decide to move forward. No tactics, no pressure, no needling. It was a very refreshing dealership experience. I will update this review if and when I buy one.
I had dropped my car off for a recall that would be free of no charge. I had asked if the technicians could check if I needed more brake fluid because my light wasn’t shutting off. The service desk called me back saying it was low, and that my brake caliber was rusty, and “very dangerous to drive and I should replace it”. I told the woman I needed my car today, and was unable to repair this at the time. She asked if she could get a quote for the part, I replied yes for pricing only. Once I go to Subaru to pick up my car, the service woman handed me a bill for $325 of work that I specifically said I could not do today. At the moment I was in shock that the workers took it upon themselves to do a job I didn’t ask for. I should have argued at the time, but I learned my lesson about dealerships the hard way. The manager had returned my call because I realized this shouldn’t be my issue. She informed me they listened to the call between the service desk and I, in which I specifically said I could not repair the damage on that day. The manager denied I ever said that. I also had a witness beside me when this phone call was made. I would assume it would be customers first before losing loyal customer, but she told me there was nothing she could do about it. Beware that it is true what they say about dealerships, and pay CLOSE attention to what you are asking for because they are looking for money, and especially when you’re a young woman with slim car knowledge. I will not be returning to Exeter Subaru again, and hope this doesn’t happen to another person. I highly recommended hiring employees that can understand when a customer says no to a repair.
I bought a used mustang. Very impressedwith the dealership. I believe the dealership didwell(with the price I paid), and I did well with the car I purchased. Very impressed with the way they inspect and REPAIR their used cars. I could not be happier. If I was a liberal and earthy crunchy tree huger Iwould buy a Subaru from this dealer. Go to this dealership...very refreshing experience.
I knew I wanted a new Subaru but didnt want to go to a dealer that was part of a large conglomerate. I stopped at Exeter Subaru two days before the last day of the month and was never pressured to make the purchase on that day. When I was ready to buy, the negotiation was open, honest and lasted only 10 minutes. I feel I got a better deal than I could have gotten from one of the larger dealerships with the added bonus of no hassles or high pressure. When I picked up my car, I left my older Subaru for some service to try out the service department. My first experience with them was as good as with the sales department. The service adviser listened to me and answered all of my questions, some of them technical. The adviser didnt try to up-sell me on service that was not needed. I really appreciated that.Hats off to the team!
I worked with Nick when getting my 2014 Subaru Impreza and he handled everything so well! He was very thorough, comprehensive, and made sure to go over everything with me carefully. I really enjoyed him and how he handled everything, and even being a month from when I bought the vehicle, hes called to check on me a couple times to make sure everything is going well! Thank you Nick & Exeter Subaru for your awesome service!
We have had Subarus for over 34 years and have purchased Subarus from dealerships all over NH & VT and Exeter Subaru is by far the best dealer we have been to and this is why we have gone back to them. They are honest and by far the best deal around.....I love my new 2018 Outback!Thank You Exeter Subaru!
My experience with Exeter Subaru was positive and they were very helpful before, during, and after the purchase. I researched the vehicle I wanted before even contacting them and once I did they were informative and discussed the options available to me. When I went in I was met by Jimmy first who I had been talking with who then connected me to Travis, the salesman. He was very knowledgable about the car and the process. During the test drive he showed me many features I was unaware of and went over any questions I had. The buying process was smooth as well, they were well organized and able to go over documents in detail. They have been responsive and helpful with other questions Ive had since purchasing the vehicle. I would recommend Exeter Subaru to anyone looking to join the Subaru family!
Bought a Subaru a couple weeks ago and my sales person Kasey Hill was absolutely amazing!!! Anyone who is thinking of getting one I recommend going to her. Shes very knowledgeable of the cars on the lot and will work with you to find the car you are looking for!!!!
Isaac was extremely helpful, not only did he give me a great deal on my new Forester, he very patiently explained how to set up and operate all the new features. Very nice dealership, clean with a great location.I would definitely recommend Isaac and the dealership.
I was completely happy with the sales department at Exeter Subaru. Everyone was helpful and polite. Our salesperson, Tim Hartford, is friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with. He kept in touch, but I didnt feel pressured. I felt he went to extra mile for us, and made the purchasing experience quick and easy, although I never felt rushed. The prices at Exeter Subaru are very competitive with other dealers, and I would recommend this dealership, and Tim Hartford in particular.
Isaac was great to work with! He stayed on the same page as me and worked hard to send me home with what I wanted. I appreciated the ease of the experience with Exeter Subaru!! Dan was great with explaining any questions I had with financing, warranties and recommending what best fit my situation.
Recently purchased a new Forester from Exeter Subaru. Had a very good sales experience. Courtney Melvin, the Product Specialist, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She arranged a number of test drives and guided me through the sales process. Shes a wonderful representative for the dealership. It was a pleasure doing business with her.
Purchasing a car has always been an intimidating experience but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into Exeter Subaru. I admittedly had my guard up but once I was able to explain my needs to Eric, I could tell he was really listening and I felt comfortable working with him. He was polite, respectful and not pushy at all. I will recommend Eric to anyone who is looking for a car. This was easily the best experience Ive had with a sales person in any car dealership.
David was awesome and hooked us up with an great deal. Very laid back atmosphere and would definitely do business again
The best car buying experience Ive had and so far best car Ive ever owned. Sales is educated on the vehicles, polite, and respectful of customer knowledge. Managers are personal, take time to explain all the terms and efficient in the paperwork. Honestly, Im not sure what else I could have asked for buying a new car... Free ice cream perhaps?
We highly recommend John Webster, salesperson, at Exeter Subaru where we have recently purchased a Forester because of John. Words that have come to mind as we have thought about John include :low key, no pressure, informative, warm, straight forward and perhaps the best word that describes John is trustworthy. At one point John said his job was to help us choose the car that was right for us and he did just that. John stayed within the perimeters that we set for our search and did not try to pressure us to go beyond those perimeters. As we explored our options, he was informative and responded clearly and openly to our questions. During our time with John, a high level of trust was reached, our options were made obvious...we were enabled to choose the car that was right for us...thank you, John Webster!
