This is my favorite AutoZone in my area. For the most part the store normally has anything I need for my older car. I havent really used any other services other than return some used oil in my actual drain pan and they have gone back and emptied it out for me. No problems there, and for anything else the staff has been helpful and friendly if I need anything. Also this store is always nice and clean. I understand some reviews are mixed, and a lot may be for some services such as battery replacement. I do my own work. My older car Im certain no one at AutoZone would have a problem replacing it. My newer car, yes... Wouldnt really expect them to be able to do it. Honestly I wouldnt even let anyone try for free. Some expectations are a bit high. For example a Cadillac ATS battery is in the trunk. Sure if you have this car, someone is going to charge full labor to replace this battery. This is not just removing battery posts and reconnecting. If I had something like this I would not expect a free service. Of course people will try. But I would not trust a free service even if they were willing to try for something that is obviously not a normal install. I have always seen AutoZones battery service kind of as a best effort. I have had parts and other things tested. Used the loan a tool, and for things like that I love AutoZone. Actually in my case for sometimes only needing a more expensive tool for a one time use, AutoZone has saved me money. Anyway this store is nice. Ample parking, clean store, clean parking lot, and at least friendly staff when I have had to interact with them. This pretty much goes for any other AutoZone I have been to, but this store is my Go to store.

I recently purchased a car battery from AutoZone. Unfortunately my cars battery is in a difficult place to access. Angel, a sales manager at the store replaced the battery. He was a tremendous help and deserves recognition! Employees like Angel are hard to come by. If I were the manager of that store I would do everything I could to make sure that Angel understand how valuable he is.

Their manager Yanira R was very courteous and knowledgeable. Super helpful.

I was impressed with the assistance provided by Angel and Denny. They took an interest in my reason for my purchase which led to advice and products of help to me. They both personally evaluated and helped install and shared with me how to use the products. They were familiar with the make and year of my car. I’m actually forward to my next visit knowing I will get an honest and informed reception.

I went look for a special tool to remove my belt tensioner my vehicle was to tight to use a regular ratchet. A young guy (Angel) very kind and professional helped me to find the right tool. I live in Elgin but I prefer this place because the stuff of this store make me feel good as a customer.

Wonderful!! I went in today and Devante was a great helper. I went in looking for a car battery and didn’t know anything at all, he was very helpful to teach me and give me one at a great price and even installed it for me during this horrible weather!! 10/10! Definitely will be coming back, hopefully he’s there to help again.

Went in for them to test my battery, was attended right away. Turns out i was correct it was bad, bought a new one and they installed it in less than 10min.

He even helped me pull out my old car battery and install the new one right before he was supposed to be off the clock out of work !! I am fully pleased by the customer service at this location! The guys working there were very polite and friendly. I’d like to specifically mention Jack. He was excellent from the moment I walked in to the end of my service. He was very friendly and efficient. I just needed new windshield wiper blades and he made it a very easy process! He got the right wipers according to the model and make of my car and applied them quickly but made sure he did the job right. I couldn’t recommended this place more! If you need anything done, this is the place to go!

The employee seemed confused and new. Sometimes, he’d just awkwardly stare and he didn’t really know how to do the service seamlessly — it took him quite a while despite it not being a difficult task. The other person (manager?) was kind of rude. He just watched the other person struggle from the door as though he were training him, which would be understandable if it were actual training, but if it’s for a CUSTOMER then you oughta step in and get the job done quickly instead of just watching someone struggle with it.Adding to that, we had to pay a rather large sum for the service so we were looking to get a discount on top of it. The manager(?) told us that any coupon would need to be from an email. There’s a big sign on their entrance saying that you can get a $5 reward if you sign up for their rewards program via email. I did that and as I was in the middle of telling him, “Alright, so for the coupon code, I signed up for the emai—“ — he interrupted me and said, “I already told you, any coupon has to be from an email.” ...If you would just let me freaking FINISH MY SENTENCE. Damn.After a long effort from the employee, the manager(?) did end up stepping in and did the service quickly and efficiently. We did end up getting somewhat of a discount but then there was an up-charge for the allocated time — which we weren’t informed of prior to agreeing to the service. If you ask me, it seemed like an improvisational up-charge (meaning that they made up on the spot) just to save some change, but whatever.Poor professionalism. Parts quality is great. Service quality is average. Pricing is average. Make of that what you will.

Just had the best customer service experience,I have ever had at an auto part store. The store manager Peter at Autozone on, 921 W Irving Park Rd in Streamwood, IL was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to help me in my situation. I would definitely recommend Peters store to anyone looking for parts. Very knowledgeable and goes the extra mile.

I was unable to shop since employees and customers were not wearing masks or not wearing them properly. Theres also zero point in putting up plastic shields at the register if employees are going to invite customers behind the counter. All around reckless behavior during a pandemic. I wont be returning here ever.

My battery light was lit and knew I could get a free test at Auto Zone I went to the nearest store by my home, and was very glad I did. Peter helped me and checked my battery and noticed it was an Auto Zone product. The battery was no good and he immediately checked to see if it was under warranty and luckily it was. Peter replaced the old with the new. I had no idea as my husband had taken the vehicle so I appreciated the effort and honesty. I will continue to go to the Auto Zone in Streamwood.

I have floated around a few AutoZones in my neighborhood for parts for some time without an opinion of any sort. But this one, particularly the store manager Peter, really impressed me that I wanted to go out of my way and write a review. I had issues with my brake pads being really worn out. I bought pads and rotors for my Honda Accord from AutoZone a while back and didnt even recall the warranty I had on them. Peter however was attentive and asked the right questions, and figured out I had previously bought from AutoZone and was able to inform me of my warranty that was still valid. I was changing my calipers and was literally prepared to spend money on new pads to reinstall without a second thought, but he was honest and helped me to utilize my warranty and get new pads for free. He showed lot of integrity, and that he is truly invested in a customer getting the most out of their purchases. I also recognize his attention to detail (he knew the store promotions at the back of his hand) and the helpful suggestions he provided when I showed him my worn pads. Exemplary customer service, Peter definitely has the professional and personal qualities that elude many retail managers. I was very pleased, so I came back in 2 days and bought more parts I needed.

I came in about my headlights not working, Jack helped me find new ones and actually exchanged them because I had a receipt for the ones I had just bought. Jack has them installed in no time and asked if I needed any more assistance. He definitely was attentive and knowledgeable and I am going to come back just for him!

Jessy installed my battery in 5 minutes got me going on the road fast. Everyone at autozone was extremely professional and very helpful. Thank you for solving my battery issue so quickly.

My car battery died so and my car was stuck in there parking lot. The store manager Peter was so helpful he removed my battery, which took quite a bit of work because it was corroded. He also answered any questions I had an put my new battery in. VERY helpful and patient, this is especially nice because they don’t charge you for labor. Will be coming back to this location again.

Great store, there is one employee that must work nights only it is the only time I see him there (red shirt) but he is really knowledgeable with cars and trucks. He helped me out every time I go in. He couldn’t get codes off of the store scanner, so he went out and grab his out of his car. And plugged it in for me and told me what was going on with it. He didn’t have to but he did. Amazing employee! I don’t remember his name but he is the only bald headed guy in there! Sorry I couldn’t remember his name

Don’t go to this Autozone expecting the staff to know anything about cars or parts. What’s worse is they make up their own information. They have no clue.I suggest you know exactly what you’re looking for before you call or visit. I especially recommend you NOT take ANY of their advice if they try to offer any.I don’t understand why Autozone is ok with this.

I was originally going in here to buy a taillight because mine was out but during my drive in a metal piece of something flew out from under my car. I took it in w me to the store and they identified it as my front spring. Damien, the associate helping me, said it was dangerous to be driving and I told him I didn’t have a choice it was the weekend before Christmas and I had things to do. I needed to get it done that day. They didn’t have the part in stock he called other stores and we found it at the actual dealer. He called his mechanic to see if he was available to replace the spring but he was busy into the week. Damien started telling my situation to his coworker who said his dad was a mechanic. He reached out to his dad, who then came into the store, and said he would fix my car. He gave me his address, I went to go pick up the part and met him back at his place and he had it done in 45 minutes. He said I was lucky because the spring had broke in a place where it could have completely ruptured my tire which made me even more thankful for all of their help. In all, I spent about 2 hours of my day from the time that I walked in the store til I pulled out of the mechanics drive way w my car repaired and couldn’t have been happier. The guys at autozone were great, helpful, and in my opinion went above and beyond in helping me and helping me get my car repaired all within a couple hours. I went back later that afternoon and took them a tray of cookies to show my appreciation and they appreciated it. This store will forever have my business and I now have a new mechanic.

This AutoZone its always clean as a whistle and fully stocked. The people are always so helpful and they greet you as soon as you walk in the door and willing to help you whatever youre looking for and also help you troubleshoot to get the right parts for your vehicle. Its always a pleasure to shop there!

I was there Sunday to buy a flip socket. I came up to the register to purchase my item, while I was checking out, something fell on isle 4 and the sales clerk went to go put it back. When he came back to the registry he started swearing and started saying people need to put their F###### things back. He was blaming me that I didn’t put stuff back. I told him I am buying a product that I came in for which was a flip socket. How do you just blame me if something falls in the isle that was I shopping on. He has the nerve to tell me it’s was in your isle and your were there so you should put it back. WTF! I told him I did not touch any of the product. Beware when going to this location if you shop in isle 1 and something falls in isle 4 you have to clean up the mess. Surprising they don’t tell customer to mop the floors! Smh! Don’t go to this location!

I called the store and asked if I could use the online coupon I had from Auto Zone which was good for website only and I was told yes that they would honor it but after reaching at the store I was told that the only thing they can do is 10% off compare to the coupon which was 20% off with free shipping. Store manager and general manager both acted like they were doing a favor to me by giving me 10% off.Wasted my 45 minutes for no reason. I could have ordered online and had it shipped to me within a day instead of driving there. I will never go back to this location again.

Edit: Whoops, left a bad review here a week ago but I mixed up the locations. I stopped into this particular location two weeks ago to pick up some pads. The guy I talked to was very knowledgeable about applying brake grease to the outside face of the pads to eliminate friction. Quick & easy transaction, nice people to deal with.

I cannot say enough about the great service I received today. I had purchased a new tail light assembly from Amazon because all the brackets on my old one broke and I was holding it together with gorilla tape :-( also one of the bulbs went out. Thinking this was install the new bulb and screw it in but it turned out that the replacement from Amazon was slightly off. The store manager spend about 30 mins cutting away the plastic to make the part fit. He also analyzed my check engine light and guided me on what needs to be do in horrible, cold, rainy and down right miserable weather! Thank you so much AutoZone for your assistance.

Screwed me on a battery core charge. Im 100% sure the gray shirt manager did it on purpose. I was in a rush to even notice the receipt till it was too late.Always been going here for small stuff for Years, A battery was the biggest. They are a revolving door with employees, Understaffed and clearly overworked. If you actually read reviews about Autozone you will see how terribly the employees are treated, and the costumer gets screwed. There are plenty of other parts stores around

Im not mechanically inclined so when my engine light goes on I just head over there and they hook up their little gadget on it to tell me whats wrong. They are always helpful from engine lights to car batteries.

Not even worth one star!!! Went out there to buy a buld for ram promaster and store manager gave me wrong bulb (know cause I bought it before) and was arguing with me that theyre all the same! One of the managers who work there was very disrespectful, unhelpful and decline to give me his name when I ask for it and I also asked for the corporate number and he gave me the wrong number not knowing these days you can Google anything I wouldnt have gave it one star but you have to give it at least one to write a review will never go here again
