I went into the surprise store because my battery was malfunctioning and they tested and replaced my old one and also put in a new one for me, which was time consuming because of so many things in the way. I would like to thank Daniel B for going above and beyond with getting my battery installed correctly. It was evident that he was the only one willing to do the extra work. Shout out to Daniel B! Hes a good fit for the store!

I have been going to this Auto Zone store here in Surprise for many years and cant think of one encounter where I left dissatisfied. On my most recent trip, I had the opportunity of having James and Theo help me work through a break-light issue with my truck. If one didnt have an answer to my question, the other did. Great teamwork! I appreciated their willingness to help me out. Auto Zone should be proud to have these two guys on their team. Thank you, James and Theo, the dynamic duo!
Your basic auto parts store. Word of advice make sure you know exactly what your replacement part looks like because theres about a 50/50 chance theyll sell you a completely different looking piece due to the various models of cars
Very unhelpful. Employee suggested that I should go to a different AutoZone location as this store is the smallest in the Valley. Maybe they will have the oil drain plug you are looking for!!
When the guy with the long hair works hes a manager with all the knowledge that makes my visits here run smoothly, But the other manager with the bald head is pretty rude and needs to be retrained.He couldnt even do the refund.
Went to 3 different auto zones and wasted 2 hours of my time looking for an air filter, oil filter, and oil for my car not a single one had my oil filter in stock. Went to OReilly purchsed it and was in and out in 5 minutes. AutoZone is generally a time vampire but this is unacceptable.
The door to my gas tank wouldnt open. I was running low on fuel. I brought it here and sales manager Miguel V. helped me figured out what the problem was. He was very knowledgeable and had excellent customer service. He saved me a lot of money that I would have had to spent on a tow truck and going to the shop. Thank you Miguel, keep up the great work.
So glad they allowed me the choice to not wear a mask! They will definitely be getting more of my business and I will be posting their info in the mask freedom group with thousands of supporters. We support freedom of choice and only give our $$$ to those businesses!
This place has a very bad customer service. My husband went to get a check engine light, and they were laughing after they told him he had to do it himself..I dont mind that taking caution for COVID-19 but the unprofessional attitude of them was very ugly. They dont even know the items you ask for.
The “manager “ Matthew Shoop was super rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. I tried to return a battery that was unused and never installed because the autozone employee couldn’t remove the old battery due to a bad terminal. He told me that he wouldn’t process a return because we had installed it which was impossible because the old battery was still stuck in the car.Do not go to this location and definitely avoid Matthew Shoop.

Would like to acknowledge Cathy B.She is awesome. She takes the time to learn customer names and their needs.It was a few weeks back when due to a scheduling problem she was the only employee there on a Saturday night. She nailed it. She had other customers laughing and helped each and every person in that store. I saw her shortly after this happened and asked if she ever heard anything about the great review I gave her. I was shocked to learn she hadnt. Instead of just posting the same corporate response, maybe as a huge corporation you could do something for all the employees that go above and beyond the job description.

Miguel and Jim provided excellent customer service! I needed a battery replacement on my Atlas and they not only did all the heavy lifting in pulling out and replacing my battery, but they also displayed professionalism and knowledge with answering all my questions. You gentleman are appreciated!

Last night, quite late, a gentleman named Miquel went above and beyond his duty of being an employee. For some reason my rear view mirror lights would not go off. I had been driving for 25 minutes with them on. He came out of the store, checked out the problem and was able to get the lights off so I could drive home safely. I will go back to Auto Zone for a replacement mirror/lights. I cant thank him enough! Auto Zone has a fine employee named Miquel. I hope I am spelling his name correctly.
As a woman, It was so nice having a fellow woman behind the counter. Not rolling her eyes at me or acting as if there is no way I could possibly perform my own major mechanical repairs. Cathy I forgot your last name, but Mega high five. You were knowledgeable and funny, and in these times, I really needed it!
I called Dakota at the Grand Ave. Autozone, in Surprise. and asked if they had a battery for my car and if they install it. He said they did. The same battery they had for $199 plus tax installed was $340 at the dealer. The dealer battery had a 3 year warranty. It lasted 3 years 1 month. Why would I go back there for theirs when Autozone has it for $140 less and hopefully a longer lasting battery. I believe it was Victor who installed it in about 10 minutes and I was on my way. Great value, and better service. They will have my auto business from now on. You dont get that kind of service very often any more and it was great to see. Thank you, Howie
When I went to get my right side rear taillight assembly. Your employee Joe at your Surprise location installed it into my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado for me. I really appreciated the great job he did. They charged my account without permission and without calling me making sure it was me even though the address is in a different state and overdrafted it and refuse to make it right, THESE PEOPLE ARE A JOKE

I arrived at the AutoZone store not too much before closing time and the redshirt Miguel was the man of the hour. We looked at different automobile auto starters, both new condition and remanufactured.Miguel was very adept and helpful at bench testing since we live a sizable distance away from the store. There was also a bolt configuration that we needed to remove from the core product and with a couple of adjustable wrenches and it was an easy job to remove the threaded post as it turned out.So this is to lend a big thank you to our man of the hour.... Very unhelpful. I bought a pair of brake pads a couple months ago when I first heard a squeak. Didn’t use them and the car was traded in. Stopped by today to return them and was told they were outside the 30 day return window. They were completely unused, with a receipt and not years old but like two months. I asked for an exception and was told no. I asked for store credit and she said I could “warranty” them, without any explanation of what that meant. Ended up leaving the pads there, since they are useless to me now, just like this store. Will not return. Target and other stores are extending return windows due to COVID, but not you?

Surprise surprise...liars. told me my battery was totally shot and wanted $217 to replace it. Thank God for interstate of bell rd.. they told me the battery (1 yr old) was fine but a little low. They charged it & perfect!

When I walked into this AutoZone today, I saw about 12 other customers in the store. There was not a single employee at the counter, the employees would walk out from the back, look at the customers, and return to the back of the store. The wait time was getting bad enough that some of the customers approached the counter saying things like Can we please get some service at the counter? At that point 5 employees, none of which seemed like they were doing anything important in the back, came out to the counter and helped every one of us waiting in a short amount of time and soon the store was empty by the time I was helped about 5 minutes later. It was great that the employees were able to help everyone quickly when they finally did come out, but why did we as customers have to wait almost 30 minutes just for these guys to come out and help us? I dont understand what was so important that a large, obviously capable crew, could not assess that there were more than several customers that needed to be helped and do so. I can see myself buying something from this AutoZone if its an emergency, but it definitely will no longer be a go to parts store for me.
It was great there is nobody else in line actually there is nobody else in the store so I went right up to the counter the guy put in my information of what I wanted and got the part instantly is very enjoyable this time around I usually walking there in a place a slam that have to wait in line forever so go to the store about an hour before they close if you want to get in and out if you like this review then press the like button

This Auto Zone has a staff of dedicate employee who try, and give great customer service.Today they did it again, saved my bacon when the Auto Zone Battery in my KIA cracked from the Arizona Dry Heat leaving me stranded, and the car would not start.Lucky a neighbor jump started me, and the Auto Zone Replaced my BATTERY FREE, and I was on my way in under 15 minutes. OOH RAH Auto Zone Rocks...
This AutoZone has given me the best AutoZone experience ever had I have thought about parting ways with AutoZone because of the way some workers at AutoZone critique or judge your knowledge on your own vehicle they do exactly what you want.

I was alerted during a routine oil change that my battery was bad. I took my car to this autozone since I had paid extra a year ago when I bought a new battery from them to place a 5 year warranty. Technician Samantha pulled up my account and came out to test my battery. At that point she refused to say it was the battery fault since the car was still running she said it was my alternator. So I took my car back to the dealer for the dealer to reassure me it was the battery. I’m out another $159. Horrible service I will never do business with autozone again.

Store manager thought I didnt hear her and was rude when she stated... I said Hello! The second time she said it.
(LONG BUT WORTH READING)I called about 2 months ago asking when my batteries warranty was going to expire and I was told that I had a couple of months still. Fast-forward to today I come in planning to get a new battery because my cars battery had died completely. When I come in there is about 4 people in line in front of my boyfriend and I, and a couple minutes later a woman walks in in very seductive clothing and the manager quickly asked her if she needed help and let her cut everybody that was waiting in line. So right away he took her and helped her out with her new battery and went outside to help her put it in. Everyone in line was talking about it and was also saying things like it wasnt the first time that that had happened since they had gotten there that day. By the time we were at the front of the line he had came inside because there was only one other person working this evening and it took a while because the other gentleman was doing returns one after another. The manager was yelling at him about how he didnt have enough cash in his register in front of the customers and being very angry and rude. And then we walked up to him because it was our turn in line and I asked him when my batteries warranty was going to expire, and he told me that it had expired 13 days prior. Which came as a surprise to me, I was not planning on having to buy a battery today. The first time I had asked he told me that the battery expired on the 18th the second time I asked he said the battery expired on the 20th so it was very strange to me in the first place. He wasnt willing to help me really and was being very rude and impatient because I quickly called my mom just to tell her that I had to buy the battery and we basically were lied to you on the phone earlier and he got impatient and started helping out another customer leaving me standing right there, I was on the phone for approximately 20 seconds. It ended up putting me in a spot where I had to go to the back of the line and wait for another 20-25 minutes approximately and then when I got back up to the line he was being very weird like I was stupid for being at the line again and said what and then I said can I please get that battery he said yeah. My boyfriend had asked if there was any kind of discount he could do and he said very rudely a year is a year theres nothing I can do about it, i cant tell the computer to extend the warrenty 13 days just for you. So after I purchase a battery me and my boyfriend went outside to wait for them to put the battery inside of my car. By that time the other associate was helping out the last customer in the store and we ended up having to wait about 15 to 20 minutes again because the manager didnt want to come outside and help us put the battery in and he would have rather had the other associate go outside after helping his customer. Which felt very unfair considering he had previously just helped out somebody else. So at the end of this experience Im left with $0 to my name, dont know how Im going to get to school or work this week but I guess he doesnt care and it is in his problem is the impression I got. By far the worst experience Ive ever had at any establishment. On a positive note the other younger associate from Tennessee who was working was very friendly and efficient and deserves to be treated better and in my opinion he acted more like a manger then the other man(MARK).
Worse customer service ever! Night shift both employees are rude and LAZY. its like take it or leave it, 30 minutes to close. Didnt even know where the positive pole of a battery is, and when I asked to change the battery they just pointed to tools to do it myself. No wonder why all reviews are negative. Managers: please hire knowledge staff with customer service.
