While travelling on a Sunday my car broke down. On a recommendation from the tow truck driver I had it towed to Mr. Transmission Milex. Since it was Sunday the shop was closed we had to get a room for the night. Bright and early the next morning I talked to (I believe the owner) Chris and explained that we were on our way back home to Iowa and were staying at a motel just up the road. He said he would get to it asap and get back to me. Long story short, he had our car repaired and we were back on the road home that same day saving us another night in the motel.Friendly, reliable and fairly priced service. Highly recommended! Worked with Ron and Chris today, no appointment even and they went out of their way to get a new catalytic converter installed. They were even flexible enough to let me get the part locally since they didnt have it in stock👍 Part delivered by 10 car was done by 4pm💪😎Ron is a stand up guy and will treat you right he cares about the customers as much as his business and it shows. Give them a shout for whatever you need done.

Took my car in on a Saturday and I was greeted by Ron. No appointment or anything and he was able to get my car right in. Honest and very reasonable price. I had some transmission issues in my pickup truck. They took it in and diagnosed the problem for free. We discussed the parts needed, I suggested getting the parts from rockauto and they explained to me that they back their work and explained why they preferred oem, which made sense to me as I am a hands on mechanic type myself but transmissions are out of my realm. The quoted a very reasonable price and completed the job is a timely fashion. I will add, I swear they detailed the truck while they had it because it smelled clean after they were done. Highly recommend

Chris and Skylar (mechanic) are phenomenal I took my car in yesterday after my key got stuck in the ignition and my car wouldn’t leave park. I explained what was wrong and left my car with them and the same day they called and told me everything wrong with the car and then they fixed it the next day. I love this and will be bring my car back to them thank you guys so much I appreciate you and will be coming back

Went in for an oil change they should me how dirty my air filter was, showed me a couple of issues on the car I need to have repaired, Luke scheduled out a plan for repairs in the order they should be take care of. great service and didnt try and rip me off. Thanks Guys...

I have been here 3 times for different issues with my vehicle. Every time I was explained to exactly what the problem was and how they would fix it! I called on Thursday and told them I had a leak on my transmission, I explained I needed the van for the weekend because I was moving my daughter home, they said bring it in and they diagnosed the problem and quoted me a price really quick. They ordered the part and had it fixed the next morning. The service was fast, friendly and no more leaks. They broke something on my vehicle

Excellent service, most people and shops in this area have absolutely no clue what they are doing when i comes to BMWs. This was one of the many shops i called regarding a transmission fluid change. They actually knew the type of transmission my car had! most shops didnt even know what a ZF transmission was. Huge thanks to Chris actually knowing what is what.

With new owner is very very expensive.just to switch a Axle Shaft Seal of transmission 359. When in the same place 8 month before to my other car went $85.

Chris runs a honest and professional shop. Clear cut from drop off to pick. I will always use them and couldnt recommend a better shop to have your car or truck serviced.

Great experience at Mr. Transmission. My car was making a really loud sound while I was accelerating for a couple weeks, thought my transmission was gonna go, so I took it in before it was too late. Luckily they told me it was actually quick fix and just an emission leak. Sadly, my car was there for 3 days, but other mechanics have had trouble with getting the correct parts for my car so it was no big deal.I had great service there, the last mechanic we took it to said my car needed to be replaced because it was starting to get too rusty to even work on and they wanted to give us listings of used cars in town. Over here at Mr. Transmission, they said there was no absolute problem with my car and itll last us for a good couple more years. My car runs great now.

I own a really high mileage vehicle. I recently took my vehicle to this shop for some issues I was having, As well as still dealing with existing problems that the last shop could not get right... Not only did this shop find what was causing me my fueling problem and fixed it, They went back through and fixed old mistakes from the last mechanic that had my truck a couple weeks prior. All my electrical shorts and grounds were traced and repaired. They went through my entire wiring harness... found mice damage, ect.all repaired back to proper functionality. Even fixed up my trailer harness.Thanks again Chris. 5 stars for you.

Brought my truck in for 2 main things(pitman arm replacement and alignment). Gave Chris plenty of time to order parts.i even stopped in mid week to verify he can do it. And all he was able to do was change a seal, which was an extra thing( not the main issue). Waste of time and money. I will not be returning. Chris clearly doesn’t listen to customers. Nice guy but can’t run a business

I just had trouble with my Service Engine Soon light which required a computer update. The manager at Milex, Rich King, took the time to explain the problem and how it would be fixed. He was polite, considerate, and thorough. To our pleasant and unexpected surprise, the job was completed ahead of schedule the same day

One of the most trustworthy mechanics, I cant imagine ever bringing my car anywhere else. Rich has been the driving force for my car to hit 250,000 miles easily.

I took my car to Milex in Sycamore to have them recalibrate my 0xygen sensor for my air/fuel gauge and to clean the underside of my engine compartment, as I enter the car in car shows. They were quick, efficient, and thorough with their work. To my surprise, when they finished they presented me with a bill that was about 1/3 of what I thought it should be. I told them that I appreciated the gesture, but I insisted on paying what I thought was fair for their time and trouble. Nice people, good service, good prices. Ill be back!

I took my car to the C.A.R. Hospital, on 7th Street, first. They tried to rip me off knowing that I was from out of town and desperate to get my car fixed. Mr. Transmission, Milex, towed my car from the other shop and fixed it the same day. Milex was about $300.00 less than the C.A.R. Hospital. They were very professional and the service was quick. I found my new mechanic, when in town.
