I would give more stars if I could! It being my first time away from home they made the process as easy and painless as possible. Most mechanics take every opportunity to take advantage but not these ones. They’re very respectful and hold a lot of integrity and will explain to you everything you need to understand about your vehicle in case you’re unaware. But most importantly they give you the hard TRUTH when it applies. Very clearly experienced and passionate about their line of work.
I had taken my 2011 Subaru Legacy to Goodyear on Dale Mabry in Tampa, Florida, for oil changes, tire purchase, tire rotation, timing belt and serpentine belt replacement, new brakes, and more over the last three years since I moved to Florida. They took such good care of the stuff under the hood while I kept the outside waxed and sparkling clean that, when I traded that car on a 2021 Nissan LEAF two weeks ago, the Nissan dealership ‘went over’ my old car so thoroughly and determined that, even with its 216,000 miles, it was worthy of reselling on their lot…not junking or auctioning off. My highest compliments, lauds, and praise to the Goodyear staff for such excellent care of that Subaru! Just look how proper car care pays off! Thank you, Goodyear of Tampa, especially Pat and Shawn!
I would give this Goodyear location the HIGHEST rating possible and I highly recommend them!! First, I would like to say that it is hard to find genuine people/companies and I know this based on my experiences, especially as a woman. I had issues with my tires and this was the closest location. Everyone I encountered were extremely helpful, so genuine, and I am so glad I found this place. They also gave me great advice on the products/services and I felt like Mr. Paul and his team were giving recommendations with my best interest in mind like I was a family member. If I have future issues with my car/tires, I trust them to get service here. I couldnt thank them enough for it and I hope this company knows how valuable this team is.
The service at the S. Dale Mabry store in south Tampa was superb. Paul, the manager, went above and beyond when I got a nail in my tire 30minutes before 6 pm closing time. He fixed my tire and I was on my way at 6:15. I called before I arrived to be sure he would take me without an appointment. I tried four other places who blew me off. Paul is friendly and very customer service oriented. Highly recommend this Goodyear store for tire or other auto repairs.
I needed tires in a time crunch and wanted very specific tires for my vehicle. Pat was very helpful in finding them and making sure they got to the store in time before my trip. He knew exactly what i wanted for my car even though they no longer made the exact tires that were on it before. Within 2 days the tires were found, delivered and installed onto my vehicle. I am very pleased with the result

The only reason I’m giving them two stars is because of Pat. He was very friendly, easy to talk to and very sweet. Shawn on the other hand, was not. While I will say he helped me with my flat tire that I needed fixed in a pinch, he tried to convince me that I needed new brakes. I knew that I had gotten them replaced recently, therefore I consulted my contact at my dealership and he told me I had a good 6 months to a year on the brakes I have. Shawn talked over me when I explained to him that I’m no stranger to knowing about cars and when to get things fixed, as my family owns a towing and repair company back where I recently moved from. I believe that due to being a female & the stereotype surrounding girls not knowing about cars, he tried to influence me to buy new brakes when I did not need them. This made me question if I actually needed my whole tire replaced or they could have just plugged the hole. Not a good experience and will not be returning.
Mr Paul made sure I was taken care of and answered all my questions. My tire was replaced same day less then 1 hour . I Recommend getting the 3 year warranty on your tires. You will think me later.
They were great. Very quick. My only issue is that I now no longer have a cap for my tire. I didn’t notice before I left.
I was quoted over $500 at another local Goodyear for just my front brakes. I came into this location just for an oil change & the mechanics noticed my brakes were almost completely worn. Pat, the manager, saw how I was in a tight spot and made an oil change, alignment, & new brakes happen for $100 less than I would’ve paid for just the brakes done. Above & Beyond service!!

I might have found my new tire shop! I had an RV tire blowout in the early evening and was desperate to find quick assistance. This shop was friendly and had no problem telling me to come in even though they were closing soon. They changed all of my tires in the rain because I could not fit in the bay, and even stopped traffic to allow me to back my RV out.Not only that but the prices for my new tires seemed reasonable. I’m not sure if he’s the manager, but Pat was extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks guys!

When I say they were amazing I mean it. I went there needing a new tire and brakes and came out of the shop with that. Customer service was amazing and so was professionalism. This is my go-to for any car issues. The general manager Pat is incredibly helpful and honest with what truly needs to get fixed. I have gone there twice to get complimentary tire patches, and have gotten all my oil changes and tire changes there. I am not very familiar with cars, but Pat always answers my questions with clear explanations that I can understand. He is always willing to give me suggestions on when to keep my eye on or when to come back. Service here is quick and information is presented clearly to the customer. Definitely my favorite auto-shop in Tampa!

Very disappointed! Today I had an appointment for 9 AM for an oil change. I arrived 10 minutes before 9 because I understand the importance of an appointment.I was told that my car will not be serviced for a few hours AND that an oil change can take up to 1 1/2 hrs. So basically everything can take up to 2-4 hrs. WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING OR MAKING AN APPOINTMENT!! The best thing they can do was call me when they were ready. REALLY!I then drove approximately 2 miles south to Oil Express/ Tire Engineer who serviced my car as soon as I arrived and took no more than 15-20 minutes.This is disappointing because Good Year has done this before. I went for tire service and took almost 4 hrs.I will never go or recommend Good Year!Extremely disappointed!!

Today I got a flat tire when I was at the 7-11 right next to the shop. The store worker was the one to inform me it was even flat. I went over to the Goodyear hoping it would be open. They had just closed. The manager Pat was still there and actually walked over and changed my tire in the beating sun out of the kindness of his heart. He said “I hold respect for my business and would never leave knowing someone needed help”. In today’s world that kindness spoke wonders on my heart. The integrity, kindness and dedication meant so much to me. I will be going back to this shop for any tire purchases I have in the future. Thank you pat.

I had such an Easy experience at the S. Dale Mabry location . Pat Sutton was very prompt, friendly and nice to work with . I ended up purchasing 2 sets of tires and he had AC compressor replaced in an older car for me too. Chuck was also very pleasant with me. Definitely recommend and won’t go anywhere else 👍
I came here after The Tire Choice told me that they couldn’t repair my high performance run flat tire (without even looking at it). Tire Choice said my only option would be to buy a new tire, which costs about $400. I brought my car here to Good Year and they repaired my tire for $35 bucks. I’m very pleased with the honesty and service I received.
Just wanted to let people know how satisfied we were with Pat at Goodyear on dale Mabry in Tampa. His professional, courteous manner made us feel comfortable when we entered the store and we appreciated how he listened and heard what we said as we talked about our problem. My pregnant daughter was having a bad day and to top it off the front tire was going flat after coming over the bridge from Saint Pete. Pat took care of us right away and even though they were busy we were able to get out of the shop within 45 minutes. I expected to get hit with a large fee but Pat told us he was just able to patch it and that there was no charge. Great service with great customer service. I am a girl who has always been timid of car repair places due to the fact that I feel like I could be easily manipulated so they can make the biggest buck. Woke up to a completely flat tire, was able to get some air in it and make it to the location. Luckily I did and chose this shop because the service was fast, polite, and the best part... FREE! Was informed by Pat that minor patches are free and that just made my day. Will most definitely be back for any other issues! Highly recommend for those car/tire headaches we all hate.

I want to give a huuuuge shout-out to Shawn at this location (and his Store Manager, Pat I believe), not only did he ensure that they sent over a tire when in need, but when another store had sent a tire incorrectly, he immediately got another tire on there that would work. This store is one of the best customer service stores that Ive encountered, and makes the complicated process with cars and their upkeep a lot easier.

On Saturday March 14th I got a flat tire on the corner of Ashley & Kennedy. Two really nice guys came over from the hotel across the street & helped me push my car and park it in front of the post office. They allowed me to stay in the lobby of the hotel while I called & waited for help. I called Goodyear and they gave me a ph# to a towing company they use. Unfortunately I waited almost 3 hrs. for them to come tow my car to Goodyear. At Good Year I spoke with Chuck, Patrick & Shaun. They were closing at 7PM but they waited until I got there which was after 7 PM and they took great care of me. Ezekiel was the one who fixed my tire. They didnt have to wait for me but because I asked them to please wait they Did and I am eternally grateful especially that I have never fixed a flat tire and that I live in Gibsonton which would have been very costly to go back home without my car and then to come back on Monday since Goodyear is closed on Sunday. Thank you so much to Pat, Shaun and Izzy for waiting for me and resolving my problem!!! Gray Customer Service!!!😊

*BEWARE OF THIS PLACE*I thought they were a reliable place to have oil changes done but now I have a suspicious feeling that they purposely sabotage vehicles. I’ve had my car for about a year and so far I’ve had three oil changes done all by the same exact Goodyear. This most recent oil change I had done, I was informed that I have been driving with absolutely no air filter and no cabin filter. I was very confused because if this was the case, why was it not caught on either of the two previous oil changes? The gentleman at the front desk told me that they don’t look for those things if you’re “just getting an oil change.” However, when I went back to my paperwork from my last oil change, they listed a line item “courtesy tire and maintenance inspection.” Which means they either didn’t do the inspection like they said on the receipt or some tech removed my filters last time I had the car in and never replaced them so that it would mess up my engine.They wrote me up an estimate for all these flushes I should have done now as a “safety precaution” since I haven’t had any filters. Unfortunately for them I will not be returning and have already found elsewhere to take my car to from now on. I’m having the flushes done just to be safe but I will not be spending my money at this Goodyear anymore. I have a few friends who work in similar environments and they all have said it’s highly likely that someone messed with my car last time I had it in. I also have another friend who is convinced this very location put drill bits in one of her tires to get her to replace it. *BEWARE OF THIS PLACE*
Outstanding customer service. I ordered the wrong tires. Oh course they caught that. To keep me from having to come another day, the service manager sent a team member out to the warehouse to get me the correct tires, even though it was my mistake. I was just gonna get a lesser tire available in the store, but the manager talked me into getting the ones i really wanted saying i would be much happier with them. All the staff was friendly and professional. Cant recommend enough! Give em a try, you wont be dissapointed
The low tire pressure light came on as I was driving to MacDill A.F.B so, I stopped in and the guys helped me, very nice gentlemen.THANKS...no charge!

Horrible experience the customer service staff is not friendly. Brought in the automobile and received no help. They couldnt even tell me what was wrong with the tire. I brought the tire home and fixed it myself. I thought this place was a tire shop? When asked why I was told that they dont speak english from the technician! On top of that when I got into my car my glove box was opened. Why? I have no idea! Beware go somewhere else!

I ran over a nail and needed a fix. Went to two tire shops in South Tampa. Both were going to charge me at least a third of what a new tire cost to do the work. Happened upon this place (after inflating the tire once again at a tire shop nearby). They repaired the tire for free, even though I didnt buy the tires there and the tires arent Goodyear. In addition, the customer service was outstanding. I will go there first from now on for all of my tire needs.
Absolutely wonderful service. There is no better place to get your flat tire fixed or changed than at Good Year in south Tampa. They will greet you with a smile and get you in right away. Strongly recommend.
(Update bellow)(1 star)Do not waste your time! Went for an oil change and they made me make an appointment (understandable since they seemed busy). Went back on my appointment and was told I would have to reschedule for another day. Thats not how a company should work if they want business. They lost mine, and hopefully I help others out before they waste their time also.**UPDATE** (3 star) -- Talked to team manager (Adam). He was very helpful and said he will be trying to correct the issue with the service. He was very accommodating and sincere. I have hopes things will change at this location for the good.
I came in and asked what the wait would be for an oil change. Steve, the guy at the counter, said it would be about an hour and a half. I agreed to wait as I had some work to do. Well, it’s been 2 hours and my truck hasn’t moved. To top it off, the WIFI doesn’t work. The facility hasn’t been updated since the 1970’s and Steve has the personality of a shoe. I won’t be coming back. After spending over 15 years in the car business, seeing this from a customer’s perspective, this is frustrating!
Got a nail in my tire on Labor Day, thank goodness they were open ! They patched it at no charge, while other places wanted to charge $40 - $32.
Im so glad I didnt let the negative reviews stop me from checking this place out - they were one of the few stores open on Sunday and went in first thing this morning.Sounds like there has been a change in management recently, and one for the better that is for certain!Tony up at the desk was courteous, friendly, professional and gave a fair assessment - didnt try to upsell anything at all - the technicians were also very professional (I take note of the little things like, putting paper and plastic shield over the seats before they sit in them etc)Took care of my issues quick, had me out rolling - HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop!!
Pat and Chuck really helped me out today! I had a flat and I have special order tires(Eagle F1 supercar tires) so I called like 4 different places in the tampa Bay Area to see if they could get the tire in today but they all told me that they couldn’t and I would have to wait until tomorrow which wouldn’t work for me cause I had important things to get done the next morning. So I found this Goodyear center which I learned is close to the tire warehouse and I Pat answered and ask him if he could possibly get the tire in today and at first he told me what everyone else told me that it would be in tomorrow then I made him aware of my situation and he was like I’ll see what I can do. I called back and he told me that he was going to send a guy out to the warehouse to pick up the tire for me!! I was so grateful!! Pat really helped me out! I was getting my car towed from Brooksville-Tampa airport which is about an hour and a half away! I got to the Goodyear service center right at 6 which is an hour before they close and they didn’t even blink twice they took my car in right away and they were done with in in 55 mins exact! There service didn’t even take an hour!! I will definitely be back for all my car service needs! These guys are great I highly recommend this shop!!
Called about a replacement tire, which they had to order. Arrived the next day, only took 20 minutes to replace. The guy was super friendly. Would have been 5 stars if they had called me to let me know the tire had arrived like they said they would.
Been here twice, unfortunately. The guys have always been nice and friendly. Had to go back when we got a couple nails in the tire, thinking it was going to cost us. Was really surprised when he handed me the receipt and said I could go. I wish he had told me that was going to be the case long before I looked at him dumbfounded, but thankful for this business and their professionalism.

Like others posted. Overpriced. Fixing things that are not bad. Questionable all around. They made it seem like my brakes were fried, that any driving would ruin my vehicle. I just came in for an oil change. $1000 later. Im done with these mechanics in all these places. Im doing fluid changes at home.
These guys are great! Had strange aftermarket rims i wanted on my car and bought the wrong size. Called them and switched for a bigger size the next day and they switched them out no problem. Very frendly and fast. Thanks Jeff and Patrick.
Been going to them for years. A couple jumps in the road but they made everything right. There customer service and attitude to make things right was nice to see in this day and age. They do simple services and they do them well!

I drove up at 6:41pm. There was a white haired man with a moustache behind the counter who was already counting out the cash drawer. I waited until he finished counting his coins and I told him that I picked up a screw in my tire. He sighed loudly, threw his paperwork aside, and stood up. I said Youre too busy! and I walked away. He said Sir come back. but at that point it was too late. I will never do business here. Ever.
Got nice wheels? Go Elsewhere!I had the unfortunate experience of having my wheels severely damaged by this shop. To begin with, I made an appointment and waited nearly three hours for the job to be done. When I got my car back, all my 4 wheels, which were nearly brand new, were all scraped and scuffed. They didnt leave small scratches either... It looks as if I had curbed all four wheels. Id encourage people to go somewhere else.
They always take good care of me. Fast and honest service. The manager Pat took good care of me, had my tires in stock and the service was rather fast. He also stayed after hours to reset my tire gauge seensors. Will definently be back for tire and auto service in the future
They inspected and fixed my flat tire quickly, without an appointment, for free. Another local competitor tried to sell me a new tire after barely looking at the tire. I know where Ill be going next time I need new tires.
I visited this Goodyear location in Wesley Chapel for a full diagnostic on my car that I had just bought, and an oil change. They told me the car seemed fine, and explained what the code from the check engine light meant and explained it wasn’t a problem. This was around this same time last year.Fast forward to March and my car begins having issues where the battery would die while I sit idle at a stop sign, stop light or fast food food drive thru. I take the car to a Good Year on South Dale Mabry. I only spoke with Chuck, who was nothing but friendly and understanding the whole time despite my frustrations. They had my car for 2-3 days, They diagnose the problem as my alternator failing and not charging my battery. They also upsell cleaning my brake lines which I took. I was satisfied despite my original quote of $420 having increased to $550 and an additional $100 for the brake lines and other addons. I was told the car should be fine now.2 weeks later and my car breaks down in the EXACT same way that it was breaking down before. If the alternator was the issue then why would it be doing the EXACT same thing it was doing before. I take it back to Good year and they diagnose it that day as an electrical wiring problem that would cost me an additional $30 quoted. They said that they tested the alternator and it was failing so that is why they must have missed the faulty wiring. However if they had fixed the wiring to begin with, they confirmed they would have no way of knowing how long my “failing” alternator would have lasted be it 2 weeks, 6months or years. But the second fix was obviously a significant price differential even with the cost of labor set aside!!!When Chuck quoted me $30 for the cost of the wiring piece he said the car would be ready monday. Come Monday I hear nothing from them. I call Monday before they close because I hadnt heard back from them to pickUp the car and Chuck tells me they’re at the mercy of the Ford dealership to send the part. Wait a day and hear nothing so I call back on Wednesday. At this point I am without a car for approximately 3-4 days and it is affecting my job. Chuck tells me the same thing from Monday and says his manager will call Thursday to give me an update on when my car will be ready. I hear nothing from them on Thursday and Friday. Extremely unprofessional to promise a manager will call me and not hear anything back.Now I am a week out of a car and its really having an impact on me getting to my job. I have my dad call on Sat. because I have a feeling they’re ignoring me/screwing me over because I am a young female. They immediately tell him my car is actually ready for pick up and Chuck calls me 5 min after my dad calls. When I pick up my car Chuck tells me the ford dealership kept sending them the wrong piece and they had to get the piece through a local avenue instead which is why it took so long to fix which is NOT what he had been telling me originally that they were waiting on the piece from ford, I drop it because stuff happens. However when I check out my charge is now $45 instead of the original $30 quoted. Whatever.So now, not even a month from that fix. I was sitting idle for not even 10 min when my car over heats, makes an awful smell and dies. This time I had a different mechanic come look at it and they told me my serpentine belt had come loose but it looked in good condition so it could be an issue with my tensioner. But the belt could have come loose from shoddy work from the Good Year, of course they denied it being a side effect of their work.Extremely disappointed in Good Year as I have only heard good things from my friends and family and feel I received anything but good care. Beware of this location and the Wesley Chapel location.

Oh wow, wish I had read these reviews before going. Had appointment at 1 PM and left there at 8 PM. Seven hours to put on 4 tires and do oil change. WITH AN APPOINTMENT!!! Will never ever ever go there again. And guess what--they dont care. No problem with the tires that I know of--every problem with the service.
Amazing customer service. They fixed a problem caused by another store 1300 miles away. Did it with a great attitude and no charge even though it was a separate issue that took quite a bit of trouble shooting and they could have justified charging me.
Honestly the best experience Ive ever had at any car service company . Pat was remarkable and delivered great service as well as great customer service! I was told by the Kia dealership I purchased my car from, during a routine maintenance, that two of my tires had nails against the wall and could not be patched. I had a bad feeling about it seeing as my tire pressure light never came on. Astonished at this information, I told the Kia service technician I would not be replacing my tires. As Im leaving, I inform the lady checking me out that I will clearly be buying tires elsewhere. She quickly assures me that Kia will price match and warns me not to go anywhere else. Now I know why, because they lied. I bought tires from Goodyear and when I went for installation the service tech was HONEST and let me know I was lied to. He took me out to the garage and showed me my tires, all four of them, NO NAILS. He could have easily replaced my tires and made some money off of me, but unlike Kia he was honest. I was taken aback by how honest and giving this man was, you dont see this often in businesses anymore. Big thank you to Pat for his awesome service today, it does not go unappreciated by a girl who definitely couldnt afford those tires in the first place!

I give 4 stars only because the wait is usually pretty long, if youre going to be waiting on the car expect to spend half you day there. Other than that I like going to these guys.
DO NOT GO HERE. As it says in many other reveiws, they will tell you things are broken that are not. I was quoted $1223.00 for a new radiator, fan, and thermostat, which is a ludicrous price in its own right. After I told them no, and I called a reputable shop (Bills Family Garage) who told me all of those things probably werent wrong with the car and even if they were, it would be about half that price... This Goodyear magically knocked $550 off of their original quote. Turns out, only the radiator needed to be replaced. These people at this shop are liars and theives. I got my car fixed for $450 at the other shop, not the $1223 I was quoted here. This place should be shut down. What a joke! Do yourself a favor and drive right past this place. I will never go to any Goodyear ever again.
Oil change took an hour and 15min with appointment. Dismissing extra services that they recommend brought out bad attitudes from employees there. All bays were empty when i pulled in.
Chuck at the Dale Mabry location was amazing. He got me and my girlfriend who were visiting from Portland in and out in under an hour said that we didn’t have to spend our vacations sitting inside a service center all day.
I wish i read some of the reviews here before i took my car in for tire change. They scratched my rims. i had a curb scratch on one rim but ended with more on that rim and another. I took pictures of my rims before taking my car in and after showing it to the manager, he continued to deny it. Will never go there again or any other Goodyear service center.

Had a great experience at the GY Tampa location today! I had previously taken my car to TiresPlus to have a flat tire patched where I was told I needed at least 2 new tires (quote at approx $300). I asked TiresPlus to just patch so I could follow up with GY. GY looked at all 4 tires and said they were still in decent shape and I did not need any new tires at this time. They did point out that the tie rod was loose - and since the car is still under warranty, I can take the car to the dealership to get fixed. I will definately be going back to GY when I need tires!!

I was a frequent customer here for oil changes and minor fixes. My last oil change/check up went normal. The next week my car was overheating and when I took it in for a diagnosis they told me my radiator was cracked and also that my brakes were bad. I had an issue with this because they just checked my car the week before and none of these things were an issue. They will also try to up charge you on ANYTHING. Take your business elsewhere.
I went to goodyear for an oil change and flat repair and kevin service manager took very good care of my needs, we found out the flat repair was free who gives you free stuff these days goodyear does, he mentioned that there is a new sales crew in the store and would like customers to give them a chance to take care of them. GREAT SERVICE thank u

If money is tight, do not go here! They wanted to charge me $842 for a fuel pump assembly repair. I called around for a different quote and got it done at Pep Boys for $511. Still had to pay the $98 for them to diagnose the problem, even though I already knew what it was and told them I needed a fuel pump repair when I walked in the door. Complete rip off!
DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! THEY HAVE FRAUDULENT PRACTICES!!! They will repair things that arent broken and then Jeff the service manager will lie to you and tell you that he told you about it. If I had the time and money, I would persue them legally. They are the most disreputable business in Tampa. BEWARE!!!!!!
This place is awful. I had an appointment for noon, and when I got there they still told me I had to wait an hour before they could even see my car. Shawn was very rude trying to explain to us why we had to wait. I will not be returning to this Goodyear. Take your car to another place, and save yourself the time and disappointment.
Brought my car for a new alternator and they didnt put everything back together properly. The next day my coolant lid blew off on the hwy causing all the liquid to pour out and overheat. I had to have my vehicle towed to a competitor business to which they asked me if I had my car recently serviced and explained this to me. This is the 2nd time I took my car to a Goodyear where they didnt put everything back together correctly causing issues.

Shocked from all these bad reviews !!This is not right, the store have a new management and they r really good .Fixed my tire for free, checked my brakes for free, gave me estimates with what my car need ..So friendly staff . Good luck guys .will go back for sure.

Service manager was rude and unprofessional. Mumbled rude comments in front of customers and spoke poorly of customers to co workers. Theres a time and place to make those comments and its not in front of paying customers.
