I made a appointment for my grandson in September, for today October 23, at noon. Had a certificate from his school, got it confirmed when making appointment. Got a call right before appointment time to confirm certificate, and they said it aint no good. Going to Americans Best

The people are friendly, knowledgeable, and have great customer service. The glasses are good quality and the lens are sharp. They have a great sense of humor and make you feel at home. The provide honest assessments meeting the customers satisfaction motto.

Condescending receptionist. Thank goodness the manager understands how to speak to people. Seems like “doctors” use this place as a revolving door.

So My nephew waited 2 months for a appointment then they won’t see him because his Referral Expired after they made him wait to be seen Complete BS.The lady was super rude and Disrespectful.Taken This kid somewhere else.Definitely a waste of time.

I have been going to this location since I started wearing glasses about 6 or 7 years ago. I love the doctor here, shes super thorough and knowledgeable. This more recent experience has me exploring a new office to get my glasses from due to the customer service my mom and I both experienced from the same staff member. I got a pair of glasses around the end of December and I dont like them. I had them adjusted twice but I have long eyelashes, its a constant struggle. I called last week to book an appt for today. I told him I got glasses a few months back, that they didnt fit right and Im outside of my return window, so I wanted to come in for new glasses. We ended up booking an evening slot. No questions asked. When I came in tonight, he mentioned oh right, you are getting the glasses out of pocket, right? I said no. He mentioned I told him that over the phone, which I did not. He then mentioned my insurance was likely closed at this point so they probably wouldnt be able to help. He called, and they were indeed closed. I asked why this wasnt a question over the phone, at this point I came out of my way and didnt realize he needed my insurance company to be open. He told me again that I told him I was doing out of pocket, which I reminded him I did not. He then said well you didnt tell me you were using insurance and I said youre right I didnt, you made the assumption I was, but you also didnt ask like you did when I just got here. He then made the decision to push all the blame back on me and said you are the customer, it is your job to present me with the fact that you are using your insurance and your insurance information. I told him I have never once had to show an insurance card and obviously was never even made aware of the process because its been that smooth with little involvement from myself in the past. He just shrugged at me and again said its your job to present me with the information. You didnt do that. He told me I was welcome to look around but he wouldnt even be able to submit my order to my insurance because they are closed.I admit I could have been more detailed when I called to make the appt. My frustration is with the way he handled the situation. I work in a client service organization and we would NEVER throw blame at a client, we would work with them as a partner to resolve it. So when I see someone throw blame at a customer who is seeking to understand, it irks me. Its my biggest pet peeve. Had he handled the situation like a mature professional, even with our initial miscommunication, I wouldnt be writing this post today.

Took my wife there. Most aggressive anti customer experience of my life. They need to back off and evaluate their customer service. Went to the SVS in Southgate and had a completely opposite experience so I’m wondering if it’s the location and not the franchise itself. They can continue to blame customers or they can continue to lose new customers. I appreciate being safe but stop acting anti customer or your business will suffer in the long run.

Always have a great experience here, very helpful especially with picking out frames. I’ve been going to this SVS for about 3 years now and have no complaints. Highly recommended going this location over others that I’ve been to.

Last year I had a horrible experience but I decided to give them one more try. Anne was very polite, patient, and knowledgeable over the phone. When I arrived I was welcomed by everyone and given paperwork to fill out. The doctor who did my exam was very thorough and took her time with me. The optician, Lisa, was who really made this a 5 star rating. She helped me pick out some glasses that didn’t make me look like a nerd or manly, and they are actually really cute. I believed her when she told me that she would tell me if they didn’t look good. She went out of her way to get me the best price possible and called my insurance for me. She never seemed bothered by my questions and really sold me on staying with this SVS vision. I’m so happy they have new staff. Will definitely be coming back and recommending friends and family. I had an appointment. The lady at the front desk was rude and being disrespectful to another customer who was elderly and running late due to traffic. The other workers appear to be busy on thier computer screen and I am the only customer in the store. They never asked if I needed help or to say they will be with me shortly, as a matter of fact they never acknowledged me. I will not be going back to this location ever again. I will be calling corporate to complain as well. I realize we live in a covid19 world but that is no excuse to be rude and not acknowledge customers..

I would not recommend this location. I had to come in 3 times to get my glasses lens check out, because I couldnt see out of them. I was very disappointed because the doctor couldnt figure out what the problem was I end up making another appointment at another SVS vision location to get a second opinion and thank god the doctor was able to figure out the problem with my glasses. I am so happy because I can perfectly see now.

I went to pick up my sons glasses and got my head snapped off by the man behind the counter. I get appts are needed and have no problem making one. But the way he yelled at me and my son was uncalled for. The lady was super sweet when I told her about the incident. I will continue to go there. But will not be dealing with the guy. He needs to learn how to talk with people.

Worst experience i ever had, when i first walked in i was yelled at,YOU NEED AN APOINTMENT, ok, can i get one now, first said no, to call back, and then yes, when i came back, i gave her my insurance card bcbs enhanced, told me to go look for frames, after a while was called back over and she said she didnt know what to do with the card, the girl who takes care of it isnt in, i was tying to tell here if she didnt know what to do i could come back when someone was there who did, she did not let me say that, i was told i was rude and should go somewhere else. Thats wat i did. SVS was referred to by BCBS

I entered as a potential new customer. I was immediately greeted with aggressiveness from staff, with them throwing their hand out to stop me from coming in past what was easily more than 10 feet. When I indicated my insurance directed me there and I would like to make an appointment, staff refused to check my insurance, make an appointment for me, saying questions can only be answered on the phone and also using the Covid as an excuse for terrible customer service saying they can only have a certain # of people in the store. There was literally only 1 lady and her child being helped by a different staff member far away from me. The signage on the door was also anti-customer.

SVS Vision in Taylor is great! From the warm greeting of the receptionist, the easygoing yet professional process through the eye exams to the helpful selection of glasses, the experience was a breeze. The only reason I didnt give a 100% rating is the vendor that corporate uses charges too much. I was able to find lenses elsewhere for half what they had to charge.

My recent visit to SVS went very well. The doctor is fabulous.....took a lengthy time to examine and explain results. I would highly recommend seeing her for eye health needs. The staff was very welcoming and a helpful and made the visit quick and easy. Thanks SVS!!

Absolutely LOVE this place! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Kim, is always a joy and has a great personality. The replacement plan they have for kids is amazing. My son broke his glasses and I just knew I was about to be out of some money but that 70/30 % replacement plan saved me, not once but twice so far... I recommend SVS Vision to all of my friends and family.

Ive been to this location twice and both times have been great! All of the staff are very friendly and outgoing. Very helpful and my optometrist is awesome! Attentive to the situation with my eyes and she is actually trying to help me see better. I really like this location and the staff!! Would definitely recommend them!!

Dr.Patel iS AMAZING!!!!!!!! I switched from the Allen park location because I really didn’t have such of a great experience and wanted to give SVS another chance . And thank God I did ! She was kind and answered all of my questions! Had a positive visit! 👍🏻

They always help us find the best deal since we dont have the best vision insurance. The Groupon deal is the best. Glasses always come in fast when ordered. Weve had a couple mishaps with our glasses and theyve always honored the warranty to help us out. Friendly and helpful and I wont go anywhere else.

The doctor and staff were very helpful and informative, as well as knowledgeable. Ive recently tried online suppliers of glasses and am happy with the price I paid online. I had all intentions of only getting an exam and walking with my prescription, but they were able to offer a decent set of reading glasses and dress glasses for a comparable price. I left feeling satisfied.

As a Walk In customer, they were still able to accommodate me in a reasonable manner. After my exam, Kim worked with me in picking out my new set of frames. She was very knowledgeable about the products, pleasant to deal with and most importantly, patient with me, as I could not decide which frames I wanted! I would highly recommend KIM if you are shopping around for a new pair of glasses.

Easy, laid back atmosphere. Appt. Was at 1.30 I was in bout 1.33 I like that. Dr.Walsh is thorough with exam, friendly and personable. I will recommend this location to all. My contacts are a perfect fit and my new glasses are edgy, I like that too! 5 stars from me, keep up the good work!😉

This was the best experience that I have EVER had at the eye doctor the optometrist was knowledgeable and made it easy for me to understand the exam results, and the manager Kim (who helped me with my eyeglass selection), is a true professional. She took her time and made sure I found the right frames at the right price. These guys make you feel like family!

. Being a Dental Asst. For over 20 years I am very conscious of being on time for my appointments. My son and I were 5 minutes late for his contact recheck appt. So, I came in and apologized that I was 5 minutes late. Kristen replied with no, you are 7 minutes late and that is over our 5 minute cushion and we have to reappoint you. My reply was you have got to be kidding me never in my life have I ever heard anything like this. I have been to surgeons offices where they have 15 to 30 cushions. I myself at my office had 15 to 30 min. Cushion...so needless to say I lost it. Allison proceeded to help my son with his eyeglass selection and was very professional. While she was doing so Dr. Patel finished with her patient and came out and sat down watching us waiting on Kristen to go pick up lunch. Allison then went over to Dr. Patel and whispered something to her...amazingly my son was taken back for his contact exam...which in fact took 5 minutes not the 15 Kristen told me it would take. NEVER have I EVER heard of such nonsense... Totally unprofessional. If I didnt have to go to this place I would never again. If I could give them a half a star I would.

Very professional and friendly employees. Selection of frames, not too many in my price range. But I did find a pair that I liked. Fast service and pick-up was a breeze. Too bad I cant remember the associates name because they were so nice.

Manager fixed the problems I had with Lens ! And gave me confidence that SVS would do their part to keep me coming back! I have been a customer for over twenty years but a bad manager at Taylor store made me not want to ever come back to SVS and then I got a call to come back and i was told new management would make me and my family decision to come back, Worth it! And so far so good! There have been mistakes but manager has handled problems in a most wonderful way

The employees are very friendly and attentive. They saved me the time and struggle of finding the right frames. The selection of frames, which the employee chose, were good and it only took me minutes to decide. I felt no pressure. I did that while waiting the short wait for my eye exam. The Optometrist, was also the same (friendly).

Seriously the people that work here need a lesson in customer service!! Being snappy with customers who have not said a word is Not a way to drum up business. I WONT be back and you shouldnt go there either if you want to be treated with respect!

Cheap, cheap, cheap frames and not worth the price you spend!! I got a backup pair of glasses in November 2017, never worn them until my main glasses broke in February of 2019, and within 2 months the frames cracked!!! Unbelievable. And I paid a decent price for them too. They were properly kept undisturbed in a case so there was no reason for the frame to crack, all I was doing was cleaning the lenses! My insurance doesnt kick in until November of 2019 soo Im screwed.

For awhile this was the only place I could go because of my insurance at the time. Now I go there by choice. I love their selection, their staff is friendly and helpful and the female doctor knows what shes talking about and genuinely seems to care.

During my exam I pointed out to the doctor that the lens was dirty he nonchalantly wiped it with a tissue and when I pointed out that it was still dirty he said oh that’s OK it doesn’t matter. they sent me for a cataract consult that was not needed where I found out the prescription was off.When I called for a re-exam the lady was rude and argumentative I will never go there again plus their prices were double Visionworks with half the selection

I have been using SVS Vision for the last 38 years . (Different Stores ) I have never been treated as well as I was at the Taylor Store . They got the Prescription right the first time . And the is the first time my new glasses didnt slide down my nose every 5 minutes, thanks to Juanita Chacon adjusting them properly . I will definitely recommend the Taylor Store to any of my friends that need glasses . Im old, so I have a lot of friends that need glasses !

All the women there are very sweet and accomodating. They take their time with you to make sure you are happy with your glasses.

The doctor was very thorough and professional and the staff were helpful with finding what was best for me.

I broke the handle on my glasess, the receptionist, was very curtious, she looked at the glasses to see if they could be fixed, then checked to see if i qualified for replacements.She talk with my insurance rep and wrote up paperwork for replacements. And call to let me know when the replacement were ready, which was a short time. I am grateful.
