Have been getting my cold chai latte’s for years from grassroots. I have never had a problem and the guy who makes my drink has always been friendly and courteous. Today the general manager, Kerrie was in the store when I was ordering and she proceeded to tell me my drink would not fill the glass. I told her my drink has always filled the glass and I didn’t understand. I said he had made my drinks for years. She said well then maybe I should fire him. The she went over to him and whispered some stuff, I did catch why are you filling the glass up. He looked at me and said I’m not. Then he made the drink and it was horrible. This is not the grassroots I am used to and I do not recommend getting an ice drink without ice because you will be disappointed. I also do not recommend being there when Kerrie is there because she is rude and snarky to her employees while customers are standing there. Sorry Spencer and Ed, this was uncalled for and should not happen to any of your patrons.

I come here and hang out with my homies in the a.m. for some good coffee and debate. If you dont know their menu, tell them what you drink at your usual spot and they will make something similar. Thats great customer service right there!

First time ordering a toasted marshmallow hot medium size latte made with almond milk with an extra shot of espresso. It was a great hot coffee drink.Hospitality was fabulous.

Had the Jazzy cowboy, tea and cookie for lunch. Very good! I also wondered over to the pop up shop for some of the newflavors. LOVED the honey latte. So smooth! I hope they’ll keep it around.

One of the best iced chai lattes I’ve ever had. The iced latte wasn’t bad either but the chai was definitely the winner.

Excellent coffee and espresso in a bright, airy store with plenty of seating. I also got some ground coffee for home, which comes in an extra sturdy bag that they will heat seal for you on request.

I enjoy stopping by Grassroots whenever I can. The staff is friendly and attentive. I have a few favorite items that are my go to items... the green smoothie, the balsamic bacon and egg biscuit or croissant, and the cafe salad. The Lox is also a favorite. You can’t really go wrong. If it sounds good to you, it will most likely be delicious. I make my own coffee at home, but I do enjoy their green tea. If you haven’t stopped by, you should.

Cute little Cafe, very hipster. It was very quaint and cute. The food was tasty, coffee was good. It was pretty busy, social distancing was not really in affect barely even masks among the staff. Cute place though.

I think the last time I was here was maybe 2014 and it was good then, 7 years later its still pretty good. Atmospheres still good, got a Carmel twist that was pretty good. Would recommend.

I dont normally live in Thomasville but live roughly 30 miles away in Tallahassee. With that being said, this place is what brings me back to Thomasville! I love this place alot! Wonderful coffee and some of the best lattes Ive ever tasted. They never do me wrong. I tried their sandwiches recently and theyre fantastic too and were brought to me right at my table quickly. Such an always friendly, always smiling staff and comfortable atmosphere to just hang out. I couldnt ask for more in a coffee place! And theyre open later than most places Ive seen so that makes it even better!

We loved Grassroots! Our family met up here and had a great time drinking delicious coffee in a really cool place. We all took home a hand thrown mug and a few bags of the coffee to drink at home. Tip: you get a free cup of drip coffee when you buy a bag of coffee.

I stopped here in Tallahassee and enjoyed a wonderful time. There are many quiet and pretty shops, and there are many delicious restaurants, which are symbolic. Theres enough to walk around this town without having to drive. Im going to stop by often and enjoy a leisurely time.

One of my favorite, if not the best, places to get a coffee when in Thomasville. The staff are attentive and take great pride in making every drink order perfectly. Even after all these years, when I come back to my hometown to visit, this is my favorite place to start the day.

I am from Minnesota up here visiting family, they live 30 minutes from here in Tallahassee and suggested this place and so we are like we have to try this out and they have really good coffee and I love the blt sandwich, by far my favorite. They have very nice employees and if your either passing through or coming to stay you should definitely come to this cute coffee place for some great food and coffee

I lived in Thomasville for a few months and haven’t been back in years but I love this place.

Great local atmosphere right in downtown. Very friendly. Every walk of life was coming through the door; crunchy twenty-somethings, bankers, amigos, locals young and old. Creaky wooden floors, painted tin ceiling, several groups of folks that look like regulars; just what we wanted. I wish the brewed coffee was stronger (not darker, but brewed with more grounds), but thats just a preference. I went back and bought an espresso shot to add to it and it was fine. Every downtown needs a place like this. A real asset to their community.

Grassroots has a nice atmosphere and occasionally hosts fun events. I genuinely enjoy the rotation of local artwork, among other things.The primary reason for my 2 star review is the fact that I value how employers treat their employees, and Ive heard too many negative things from current and former employees, to the effect of how poor the management is there. Ive heard plenty of talk about inappropriate things managers have said and done to employees over years.I considered the possibility that the employees I was speaking to in particular may have been having isolated issues with management, but every time I bump into friends I used to get coffee with, they talk about how they dont frequent grassroots anymore, either, and often list the managment as a motivating factor. I think a change in management might bring a lot of old regulars back in.

The experience was great! Brent answered my call asking if dogs were allowed outside since I was passing through, and he was so excited and said he was a dog lover. When I got there he was so kind and courteous. He was also an extremely hard worker. He deserves to be recognized! The coffee was also amazing.

Meant to write this before now but a few weeks ago I came for a coffee and a bag of grounds and was treated like a best friend by Brent and Will and a blonde long haired girl who’s name slips my mind. They stopped for a minute to chat and it made me feel so special. When you leave smiling and encouraged by the friendly folks at Grassroots its a great day!

I respectively disagree with January May ....Grassroots is the BEST coffee house in Thomasville. When you go in they are always courteous and friendly ! The management is professional even when under pressure ( I’ve seen the way some customers have acted and thought “ wow the manager kept the cool “ ) The staff is eager to please and puts all their customers at ease with polite conversation and warm smiles 😁. Oh and did I mention the COFFEE ? It’s wonderful !

I now live in Colorado, but every time I come home this is my first stop. They make the best macchiato.

Get a redeye to get lit or a dirty chai for a sweet buzz. Also, this is the most convenient stop for the bathroom while youre taking in all the downtown Thomasville shops and sights. Young people studying and reading to make sure you know they read, same as it ever was at any other coffee shop.

The espresso drinks are ON POINT. Their roasted coffee beans are delicious too. The in-house drip coffee would be better with a little stronger brew but has great flavor! They carry gluten free pastries and stunning fresh baked food items. The breakfast biscuit sandwiches are sinfully yummy. I love living within walking distance to such a great coffee shop! Fun urban artsy vibe too. You cant beat it!

First requirement for a coffee shop: top-notch coffee. No problems here. Very good coffee, great flavor, bold. They have all the different preparations for regular coffee (press, brew, etc) and have all the flavored stuff if you want to be fancy. Surprisingly robust food offerings, great atmosphere.

I absolutely love this place. Born and raised in Thomasville but I now live north of Atlanta. When family comes to visit I have them stop and get my white chocolate mocha and pour it into a thermos for the trip 😆. Wish we had a Grassroots here!

The salted caramel bar was fabulous. Coffee is always fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the music and will be back.

Great coffee and coffee related drinks. They roast their own beans and over several varieties. I often get some beans to take home. Good treats. There are sandwiches too though Ive not tried them. Lots of room in the shop.

Great place to grab coffee and delicious baked goods. Very vibrant downtown area. The espresso Carmel and coffee could have been lunch it was that big. Prices were average for a hip coffee store. Must have free WiFi because of the people who were buried in their laptops.

Didnt get to try anything...Drove from Quincy Fl to check out the place and decided to get some coffee..They were only letting in one person at a time..we had on our masks and was told by someone who worked there who didnt have on one to wait outside..after 10 minutes of waiting and the line forming we left..smh..disappointed of the level of service and the speed.They need to rethink their operation...Huge fail.

Overall, a quite and relaxing place to put your feet up after a day of wandering around downtown Thomasville. Grassroots has a lot of space for people to sit, both inside and outside, as well as a rewards program to keep you coming back. The coffee also does a good job of that though! I particularly enjoyed the cold brew on my latest trip. I look forward to working my way through the rest of the menu!

This coffee shop basically fuels the city of Thomasville. Its a favorite local watering hole thats quickly gaining a wide reputation for its in house roasted coffee. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great and best of all... The coffee is out of this world good!

Good coffee. Ordered a latte and espresso was so smooth, no sweetener was needed. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Coffee is great here. I like it better than Starbucks (which tastes over roasted to me). The staff are great the food is tasty albeit a bit slow to get from ordering to being ready to eat.

Being from Atlanta, I have so many coffee choices, but I would choose grassroots coffee over any other, it is so good, I would definitely recommend it again!

I love their coffee and drinks. For breakfast I adore the Balsamic Bacon. If you never thought youd enjoy arugula for breakfast: try this sandwich! Also, on a hot day the Italian Cream Soda is a sweet treat. (Its recommended you add a flavor, my fav flavor to add is peppermint.)

This is one of my all time favorite coffee shops. When visiting friends we ALWAYS make at least one stop at Grassroots. The coffee and atmosphere is always great! Theyre food selection is delicious! They are usually really fast with orders but be prepared to wait a little longer than normal for your drink. This is simply due to the popularity and number of people who visit the shop! If youre in Thomasville, swing by! Its located downtown which is also a good place to walk around and drink the coffee you just ordered!

Grassroots Coffee has an amazing atmosphere and the friendliest baristas you ever met! It is the Cheers of coffee shops; when I walk in, they know my drink and start making it for me! The service is second to none, and the quality of the coffee is top-notch. Highly recommend!

The people are nice, they have other types of milk you can use to substitute dairy. The place is very nice. The owners are great people too.

This place has good coffee but very very VERY slow lunch service. I ordered a salad to go...a SALAD that took over 20 minutes to make! Its salad for crying out loud its not that hard or time consuming to make. I watched to cook and he moves at a snails pace. Either dont offer to go as an option because he cant move quickly or get him some HELP! When people order to go its because theyre in a hurry. I was I needed to get back to work. If I had known that it was going to take over 20 minutes for them to make a salad I would not have ordered it. So in conclusion get the cook some help or dont offer to-go as an option. Make it sit down only for lunch. That way people in hurry know not to come here because you cant serve them in a timely fashion.
