A transplant to Texas, I knew I wouldnt miss Illinois grey skies and winter cold. I did wonder if Id find a replacement for the third-generation family-owned auto service that took care of my cars for over 15 years. From personal experience, my grandson recommended H K Auto Service in Tomball for the requisite auto safety check - the first step in getting Texas license plates.Talking with the owner afterward, I found HK, too, is third generation and family-owned. You dont last in business if youre not providing quality, reliable service - longevity speaks volumes.Along with the safety check, I received explanations and sound advice re a couple of safety recalls on my 2010 Mitsubishi. The service was professional, the premises orderly and organized, and the safety check and wiper blades to handle Texas rain fair and reasonable. I have their business card in my purse for future reference.

James and Richard are two really great guys. I trust them with ALL of my company business. They are HONEST and UP FRONT. I really appreciate all the service they have provided our company (and personally) over the last 8 years.

Love this place. They have a small town shop feel, and can take care of anything a big shop can. They dont try to sell you on things you dont need, or put in extra stuff thats not necessary. This is the only place Ill take my cars too. They have worked on my work trucks, my car, my brothers cars.

James and Homer were great. They took the time to actually listen to us. Our 2011 Tahoe had ac issues and had been to 2 other locations that didnt properly diagnose issue. Homer had us in and out in 2 hours and the ac was so cold we actually turned it warmer on the way home. 5 stars, way to go.

Place is awesome..I got my state inspection without any hassles and it was quick service (less then 30 minutes or so...)paid $25.50 No extras BS of any kind..And if your English isnt to good...theyre patient and try to figure out what your trying to tell them..

I had originally asked for an estimate on some work I was told that supposedly needed done to my Tahoe. They did so and I went on my way with my second estimate plotting on how to pay for this quite expensive repair. I went back weeks later with wallet in hand expecting to pay for this repair when they actually looked at my truck an determined it to something completely different wrong and about $1000 less than I was prepared to pay! Honesty and integrity in a mechanic shop is very hard to find! HK Auto has my buisness and all my referrals from now on! Thank you so much for your honesty!

They work really hard to get your car done right

These guys are very nice local business. They charge $60 for a AC check and then get mad at you when they havent fixed the problem. Spent over $600 still no AC.

This place is a gem! Homer really takes care of his clientele! This shop used to be 15 minutes from my house, now I drive 2 hours when our vehicles need service because they truly care and arent constantly upselling services!

I feel the guys here are honest did an evaluation of my vehicle and told me exactly what it would cost to repair it had it out the same day.. I dont want to go back but if I need to repair my truck this is place Ill go to.Ive been back since, still the only place Ill take my truck to have worked on. At 5:00 this evening my signal lights suddenly quit working, and I called HK with little hope of getting it taken care of right away since it was so close to quitting time. The problem was identified as a faulty hazard light and, although the part was not available on site, the folks at HK took the time to go purchase it and installed it immediately. My car was ready to go at 6:15, past their closing time. Thanks to HK for staying over and taking care of my issue when they could very well have put it off until the next morning. I would have had big safety issues without their prompt and friendly service.

DONT USE H K AUTO SERVICES IN TOMBALL TXThis place is not worth your time and your money. He is a crook and wont release my truck to me. He calmed that his credit card machine wasnt working when I know it was. He still has my truck so this is making 5 days. He has it from Tuesday 23rd 2016 at about 11:30 we dropped it off till Today Saturday 27th 2016. Luke my boyfriend had to call him to see what the problem was. On Tuesday and all my truck needed was some new spark plugs. So he had my truck for 4 days just for the spark plugs and one other part. But still has my truck as of now because hes a rip off and wont release my truck. He never got the right tool till the 4th day. His worker even told us that the tool didnt come in till 3pm on Friday 26th 2016. It only took him 2 hours with the right tool to do the 4 hardest spark plugs. On the first day after Luke called him. He told him that ever spark plug that breaks off would 30 dollars a plug. Than all of the sudden it went up to 90 dollars a plug. He never called Luke first we had to call him ALL FOUR DAYS. He never called to tell us about parts he was putting into my truck. Just told us on drop off that if a new part was to be pit it would be 150. We told him to call us before he done anything. But yet he never called us about any of those parts he put in my truck. Than today he lied and said he didnt talk to my boyfriend Luke for four days. Than told me as Im trying to pay for my truck that he talked to him everyday. Thats as Im waiting for him to run my card that refused to do. So which is it? You talked to him or you didnt?? This place is not honest, responsible, affordable, or reliable. He is the biggest crook ever.
