AC DC marine is Ran very professional I took my whole electrical system out of my boat and replaced it with AC DC already made cables and wire looms. Buyer Beware… I should have read other reviews, as we had nearly identical problems. We wanted to replace our entire engine panel. I emailed a few companies and ACDC marine was the first to respond. We sent them our existing panel wring diagram and photos of the panel. They said the plug would not be the same, but that they would send a very clear wiring diagram and it would be essentially plug and play. We reconfirmed this. While we are not marine electricians, we are fairly handy (my husband built his own boat then sailed it to Antarctica), so we aren’t useless in the engine room…. We even paid $250 in shipping to get it sent abroad so we could install it prior to a 2 week Southern Ocean Sail. It all was going too well….We received the panel. Already some warning lights weren’t sitting properly in the panel and were popping out. The ignition switch wasn’t labeled with the on and start positions. OK we can deal with that… Then there was a wiring diagram, but there were wires that were unaccounted for. We repeatedly emailed them what they had sent and tried to get answers. The quick responses suddenly slowed. We go more requests for photos and still no answers. Finally we had to sail and not new panel installed (and our $250 wasted). Once we arrived, we continued to try to get clearer diagrams. Instead we were met with strong aggression from Ramsey, the owner. There was no way his product was anything but perfect. We continued to send our diagram to him, but we could not get answers. We went in circles. He “recommended” to us, since in his eyes we were useless that we hire a technician to install the panel. So we did…Gets worse. Well the technicians came and spent way too many hours staring at the diagram provided and essentially had to figure out themselves and re-invent the wheel. We ended up calling two technicians. The first one assumed the panel was correctly wired (wouldn’t you on a new panel). Thus they were chasing ghosts in the engine room. We had to sail, the another technician arrived and saw that the panel was incorrectly wired – all the alarms were wired together. Thus they re-wired them. There is more to the story, but I won’t bore you. All told, perhaps 20 hour+ hours were spent by technicians trying to get it to work…Are you tired yet – so are we and out much more than the cost of the panel (nearly spent double in installation on what was supposed to be plug and play) on top of it all the customer service from ramsey was frustrating. The feeling was that he knew it all and we were idiots. We will NEVER use ACDC again and we will NEVER recommend them. We run a charter business and we have worked with several companies that are helpful in their troubleshooting. ACDC has not been helpful, they cost us way more money than this should ever have cost and we still do not have a fully functional panel.As I said Caveat emptor – Buyer beware. You have been warned.
