An amazing g assortment of Japanese items including bath and beauty, snacks, fresh bento lunches, as well as a grocery store, food court (where you can get delicious and cheap donuts and hot food), and Kinokuniya bookstore! The food is so good and tastes fresh; I bought riceballs and a bento for a few days of lunch meals!
As you know by now, I’m a huge fan of sushi. Recently I had a chance to try some grocery store sushi. Wait 🖐🏼!! It’s not what you’re thinking 🤔. I tried out Premium Sushi Set from Special Chef’s Sushi at Mitsuwa in Torrance. And lemme tell you I was delightedly surprised 💫. It turned out their fish 🐠 were picked each morning and prepared on the same day. No wonder why they’re super fresh 🤩. ._____________________________What we recommend:🍣 Premium Sushi Set_____________________________
Shopping @ Mitsuwa is just an incredible experience. It’s spacious, comfortable and enjoyable. Everything looks colorful and nice. There’s a wide selection of imports and you will definitely find something intriguing and never seen before. The food court right by looks attractive as well, can’t wait to grab a bite here next time! Great job by their management, thumbs up!
Great little Japanese Market and food court separate from the Del Amo Fashion Center.Santouka is my go-to for ramen and dont forget the mochi donuts for dessert!Plenty of room for a weekend lunch of 4. Indoor and outdoor seating options to compliment the food options.
Well I have found a new favorite place to shop and for lunch or dinner.First off the Mitsuwa Marketplace is HUGE. I will add many pics.As I walked in the door I stopped for the specialty coffee pour over from Yoshi. He is fabulous. He taught me a new technique on how to do this using fresh coffee. There is a European flair to this. I purchased a cup of the Ethiopian that he offered as it is said to have a slightly fruity flair. Honestly this cup of coffee rivaled any brewed cup. It isnt fast. So please relax and wander for 4 minutes as he produces a fine coup of coffee for you. Super fresh!! Woke me up and zero bitter taste and not at all WEAK. you can buy the coffee in bags and the special gizmo he uses can be purchased on Amazon if you want to try this at home. Then I hit the Ramen. I got a medium sized Miso rate and it was delicious. Now I do not have to travel to GARDENA for some excellent Ramen. Flavorful and the noodles were absolutely cooked to perfection. They are so clean here. I love that you can go get a seat outside and wait for the pager to go off and then go pick up. I was full and glad i didnt go large but if youre a super hungry boy go big!!My friend got the teriyaki from another spot inside the food court and it was so yummy looking. She could not eat it all. There is a bookstore also inside and I was THRILLED to see all the art pens and supplies including watercolor supplies. They had great selection of cards for all occasions and so many books. I fell in love with another of the notebooks as I am a girl who loves to make lists.I also enjoyed the supermarket. Fresh fish, neat, fruits and veggies, and the specialty Asian varieties that I like and are hard to find. I have to say of you are shopping at the mall dont want to wait to eat and love sushi... TONS of fresh choices. Check my pics!! I stocked up lol. They safe distance and provide sanitizer. Masks are required. Very clean and the Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Also check out the sweets and the bakery. I try to look away because I do KETO but its so hard when everything bis so beautifully displayed fresh and delicious.Enjoy this fabulous shopping spot and let me know if this review helped you with a like! Enjoy
The food court was a taste of Japans best! Royce chocolate is amazing and the vast selection is great! The grocery makes you feel like you are shopping in Japan. You need to visit this place to appreciate...
I am looking for a tool to make tea which I dont know what it calls. The store keeper was talented knowing what I meant. Found the tool I was looking for and even printed out information for me. Excellent customer service!
New market smaller than some of their other locations. A number of food court locations are open but it looks like it will double in size. Theres also an outside patio for the food court. Separate food stalls in the back of the store for sushi and other options. As always, very clean and well stocked. Plenty of parking right out front.
Its not fully open, yet, since a lot of stores are still getting ready, but its still worth going to! Its very clean and I found a lot of Japanese stuff I was looking for (snacks, food, and the kinokuniya next door). This Mitsuwa does NOT have a bakery. I really wanted some melon pan. Im not sure if they plan to have one, but Id love to see one. They do have a nice seafood selection. Some restaurants in the food court section are not open, yet, but there are at least 3 to choose from. The restrooms are also super clean!
This store is big but they never have anything if you looking for a good store go to the h market or Tokyo central
Spacious and airy. Very good options in the food court. Definitely worth a visit if your into Japanese food.
I love this market because it has a food Court with amazing Japanese fast food. The supermarket side also has all kinds of Japanese products. Stock of Japanese sake. There is plenty of parking in the front area
Great selection of food. Clean. Their One Mask fits well, comfortable, washable. Best mask if you have to wear one.
Great choices in Japanese Cuisines. I loved the icecream mochi choices too!
When I came the first time I was impressed with what I saw here. You can buy pretty much almost anything here that youre looking for. But for me per se, I come here for the Takoyaki (which is absolutely down right 🔥)!!! This time over the weekend me and my fiance we got the 24 piece Takoyaki and surprisingly we ate the whole thing (the first time we came we just get the standard 8 piece)!!! The people here are friendly, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the experience of shopping here is amazing! Great job Mitsuwa!
Mitsuwa is a great place to shop. Their supermarket has a variety of meats. My favorite meat is the Waygu steak. The store feels like your in Japan. They have food courts that serve food that are something you would find in Japan plus the food at the food court taste good. They have desserts section that has mochi and a little gift shop. I will be coming back to Mitsuwa.
Love this place! Lots to eat, a beautiful bookstore and a well stocked store
The interior is nice, and the mochi place there is fantastic. Everything else was okay.
Awesome Asian shopping center. Has a food court, gift shop, and bakery in addition to the super market. I could spend hours looking through each section!
One of the best markets Ive been in, great people and atmosphere I very much enjoy going
It the best Japanese markets and also they have a fresh bakery inside the market and cookware set to cook and fry.
Very nice place you we go back there twice in the same day. So many choices of foods. Plus very nice staff.
Love this market place! Aside from the market itself, there’s a food court with a lot of different vendors to choose from, offering foods at good price. I especially love Matcha Love for their soft serves. I got the roasted matcha and I’m hooked. They also have a consignment store in there. There’s also a travel agency there that I think would be the people I want to talk to if I’ll ever plan a trip to Japan. There are also little shops that sells snacks that desserts that are carefully made and packaged with care that’s distinctively Japanese ways. The market it self is also very big with a lot of selection
I really miss the old location. The previous location was older but it had its own charm and certain feels to it, that the new one is lacking. Granted the new location is nicer and newer but as we all know, newer isnt always better. I went to the new location as they opened on the first week a while back. The market had very limited products. I thought they werent fully stocked, as it was their first week at a new location. However, I went back almost a year later and the market even had less products than before. I was very disappointed as I had to go across town to a different Japanese market to find the products I was looking for.
Small market and cute.
Love the place! Its like a little Tokyo.
Awesome food court! Motchi donut and different kind of ramens you cant go wrong 😋
Wow what a clean organized market. I love shopping here. Its very hard to find this quality of beef anywhere else. The produce is all extra fine and all arranged, neat and clean. The whole place just shines.
It was a market on one side and various shops/tiny restaurant on another side. I had fun looking around. My family and I got a little food at various restaurants and shared. The food is did taste were of Japanese cuisine. We enjoyed it very much. I am coming back the next time I come back to California.
Great sushi and ready to eat food. Must try the spicy cod roe onigiri. Healthy, fast, and economical lunch! 1 onigiri = approximately $1.60 great price!
A brand new Mitsuwa Japanese supermarket with a bookstore and several restaurants inside. Four of the stores (bakery, insurance, food) have yet to open, while the takoyaki, ramen, rice bowl, and others are.Prices are like other Mitsuwa supermarkets - sale prices can be very good, like $5 vs $8-10 for detergent, but generally higher than other markets like Seiwa, especially for salmon. The quality is generally good across the board for meats and fish at all the Mitsuwas Ive been to.The fresh vegetables and fruits section is small like the Irvine Mitsuwa, so youll want to visit others like the Costa Mesa shop for a larger fresh vegetables section. The food court closes by 8 pm before the supermarket closes. For a Supermarket, the HUGE Tokyo Central just north of the 405 in Gardena is FAR better - huge fresh produce section, far more goods, huge beauty section, and is pretty much the 1-stop shop in the area among Japanese supermarkets. At this Mitsuwa, I can easily think of vegetables and fruits I need not available here, thus the 4 stars.
Awesome place and great food! The best ramen and yudon in the city!!! ❤😊😍
Wow! Just wow! Delicious Japanese good at very reasonable prices. And what a great surprise to find Royce chocolate!
So much fun here! you can get groceries, ready meals, and so much more! also, amazing food court with MOCHI DONUTS, and a book store. I can go there every weekend :)
I am use to going to the old one and this one is not bad but food court is what I use to use most. Sitting are is different n better because you can sit outside also. Restaurants is better in old place. This one to me is smaller and they dont have my Favorite tempura place. I will have to find out where they went. I know they have in west l.a. but thats kind of far. Market itself is better than old location.
Newly relocated MistuwaWonderful complexed Japanese marketplace
I LOVE THIS PLACE 110 percent!!!!! I would live here if I could. Great food, decent prices, high quality meats and sake. And the hot food court is always a pleasure to visit.
So cool! I could spend hours in here. Anything and everything japanese. Then, after checking out, stop and eat at any of the dozen or so food court restaurants.
They have everything here. EVERYTHING. and the best food court. Get the kennosuke tempura bowl. and the cream mochi. and santouka ramen. Glorious.
Nice location and convenient. Clean and organized. Hokkaido Fair 9/14 - 9/24/2018
Great place to eat and shop. All authentic! But watch out they get packed on the weekend!
If you’re tired of the repetitive fast food lunch or dinners then I suggest checking this place out. They have a variety of food stalls which offer delicious meals at affordable prices. They also have a grocery section with a bakery, and other misc stalls offering an assortment of goods. Be aware that some stalls do not take cards or take out.
This location has pretty much the same stuff as the old location although grocery space is limited. The store itself is clean and bright. The food court is gorgeous with high quality Japanese food and sweets. There’s even nice covered outdoor patio seating which I’m sure will be busy. My favorite Japanese bookstore, Kinokuniya, is in this new Mitsuwa as well. It’s a convenient location with good parking, so if you just want to pick up a few choice Japanese foods while you’re at Del Amo this place is nice.
Nice and clean! Food courts are great!
Best japanese market in town! You can find almost everything here.
Like the location and the customer service was great experience plenty of free parking and safe security patrol in site and do their jobs well
I like their product selection. I like their location. I like their food court. Everything is great but an old lady managers rude behavior. I do not understand why she can be sitting on that position so long time. They have tons of very good employees there but her.
Mitsuwa is my personal favorite Japanese market. Not only do they have a massive selection of produce and food in the market section, they also have a wonderful food court and bookstores. My personal favorite place to go in the food court is Santouka ramen.
Large and spacious Mitsuwa with a lot of choices.
Huge place very nice to visit if youve never been.
The store was clean and was fully stocked . The meat section had different variety of meat instead of going to a Korean BBQ place you can do it at home . The sweet section was organized and the cashiers were really helpful .
This place really nice and all, but it ok. I would have rather been at the old location, but times change and you cant do anything about it. But, the cooked food in the market and the restaurants were ok. The onigiris, sandwich, karaage, sushi and items that the market made in house were not so good. I would have rather went to either a Nijiya Market or a Marukai/ Tokyo Center rather than having that. And the prices were a bit high for a market. I know that grocery prices have gone up, but it was a bit higher than the normal now. And a bit more knot picking, the carts were small for an actual market. Not comparing to like a Costco cart, but like a Nijiya Market where the carts are small, but are deep. These carts were really small that my fanily and I filled the cart easily in the beginning. The layout of the market is just weird. I dont understand the weird layout between the food court and the market. If you dont notice the sign in the front like some people I saw, you would end up seeing a wall instead of the small opening of the market and be stuck in a narrow hallway between a middle structure and the market glass wall. Not very nice, especially with some having a cart. It would have been nicer to have the market entrance be on the same side where the wall was, so you could just enter straight from the door rather than being diverted. Onto the food in the food court was ok. It wasnt the best food, I would have loved to see some of the older stalls than the new ones, but what can you do. Either it didnt have enough taste or it was just watered down. Wasnt good at all. I wont be coming back again. Tokyo Center has been getting it right and Ill just not visit the mitsuwa in Torrance ever again.
Great place to get fresh reasonably priced sushi and good selection of cold Saki.
The marketplace is very clean and welcoming and prices are ok. Has good places to eat inside too.
Nice market unique products and good pricing
So clean! I appreciate that they take so much pride. The service was extremely polite, and we found everything we needed. We grabbed a bite in the food court. I wish they had a little more variety, but what we did eat was delicious. I had spicy miso ramen with a side of rice and natto, while the kids had oyakodon. Both were great. The parking lot is large, but its a busy place.
Love the open clean shopping space and the amazing food court! Many delicious restaurants to choose from. There are plenty of seating space too.
Such a fun time and good comfort food. Reminds of back in the Japan living days.
Lots of fun architectural designs. Broad grocery variety. Options for stored food as well as fresh produces. I come here often. The cafe and eatery has beautoful comfortable sitting areas also.
Great Ramen spot indoors, snacks are out of this country and they also have Monster energy drinks.
My go-to Japanese market in Torrance, South Bay. They have a lot of variety here as well as a good food court with Santouka Ramen; my favorite ramen. They also have pop-up stores from time to time and they had Modoo donuts for about 2 weeks here; very delicious. I love their quite to-go trays for sushi and chirashi bowls.
Was best location and outdoor dining very spacious and plenty of free parking customer service was pleasent clean and great value
This an excellent Asian grocery but is more than just that. There are at least 4 restuarants that sell food. There is specialty tea store that has large selection of loose teas (green, olong, and black. Huge selection of Sake, soy sauces, rice, seafood, and special cuts of meat sliced thin for stir fry. There is also a special desert store.
Feels like I’m back in Tokyo. Fun market very good food court representing the flavors and textures of Japan.
This location is a good one-- outdoor dining area for the food courts is available. I always enjoy Mitsuwa in general, because I can buy many of the same types Japanese retail items as when Im actually in Japan. Im a huge fan of the little bookstore they have within the market.
No need to have anything shipped from Japan its all here. While here dont miss out on the food court.
Great center for food court. Also, its been a mainstay for their grocery store.Sometimes they have good special festivals and food days too.
Came here to get some items we cant find easily in our city. Thank you for the helpful staff
Great selection of groceries in the market and the food court had delicious ramen. After dinner dont forget to visit the library
Its fairly small. I was quite disappointed that they dont carry many products you find in similar markets. Also, the produce is kinda pricey, well at least in my opinion. Service is good and fast.
Food is always good 😋
Nice, clean layout, clean environment. The food court has lot of delicious options. Happy lunch and shopping time!
The Udon from Mugimaru is so tasty. Always get the spicy tonkotsu udon. 🔥🔥
This is the best! Not only is there a grocery store to get Essentials, but the restaurants are the best. The price on food is cheap, the portions are just right, the flavors are to not disappoint.I love it here
This is my favorite Mitsuwa. I usually visit when they have special event or food fair. Good selection of tasty food both in the market and food court.
Very good sushi at a reasonable price. And grab your Hawaiian Sun in the cold aisle. Also cannot beat the variety of prepared food vendors under the same roof. Great location
Compared to the other smaller Japanese markets around, they have the largest selection yet feels like they have the least amount of desirable options. There are better options in terms of bentos, chips, fresh produce, drinks etc - to the point that the bakery near the front entrance seems to be the only selling point.
So many good places to eat inside here and you can find fresh sushi as well
The staff is super friendly the food is good the atmosphere is pretty chill really clean and its one of my favorite spots at the mall.
