Always come here and can usually get everything I need but the last couple visits they havent been as stocked up as usual. Specifically the Black Cherry Soda. My grandmother loves it and in the past couple years its been hard to find anywhere. Most times I pick it up from stop and shop but on this particular visit neither of our local stop and shop or other stores had any except the Pepsi new Black cherry available in small personal bottles or 12 pack of cans and then the polar which is a $1 per small bottles (I believe there 1l) which was also only diet. Please keep stocks of the black cherry stop and shop brand or bring back the Adirondack black cherry soda. Please and thank you stop and shop!

Great deli, good produce. Helpful staff...the store sometimes appears picked over where some shelves are empty. This week it was the iced tea aisle- could be r/t the merchandiser not coming in to stock? Other area grocery stores didnt seem to have this issue. Not a deal buster, just be aware.

Updated: Posted a review about this branch yesterday, and the owner just let me know only my rating appeared yesterday not my review. I did see a review submitted pop up, but it must not have gone through. Weve been having connection issues lately. I wrote that this branch of S&S is big and well maintained with larger floral, prepared dinners, and produce departments than some others. They make weekly circular meat and fish sale items easy to find by putting them in one cooler by the fish case so shoppers dont have to hunt around for them. The variety of fresh fish is good, too. I like that their reduced fruit and vegetable rack has a lot to choose from and is still a decent quality. Im not a fan of the S&S roaming robots and I dont remember this Torrington store having one like Simsbury, but they did the other day. Some consumers might find them novel.

Expensive .. workers not very helpful . They send you to different workers and still cant get a accurate answer.. stop and shop has gone down hill

Nothing special about this store, fairly clean, well stocked and polite staff. As with other locations, watch your pricing because some commodity items are way over priced and you can easily save twenty-five percent or more just one minute away at Market 32 or Wal-Mart. Know what you are shopping for and be sure to use your Stop and Shop card to get discounts and you’ll be fine.If you like roast beef, the store brand Stop and Shop Italian Roast Beef is generally just 9.99 per pound and far better than the much more expensive Boars Head roast beef offerings. Also, watch pricing on bottled waters and seltzer’s. Often, you’ll pay MORE per unit on featured sale items compared to non-sale items in larger volume containers.The robot is loaded with cameras and data gathering devices and is so obnoxious.

Quick and easy check out with little waiting time.

Store is always clean and generally stocked with the stuff I like. Has a good enough stash of organic items. Sad to know Peoples Bank is leaving, but I doubt that has anything to do with the market. Better store than the two in Torrington, the one on Canaan, and the one in Simsbury.

The new automated scanners are terrible.

First time in this store. Everything was an easy find. So happy with the store. Very nice and clean.

This place is a great place to pick up whatever for food you could need. They offer great coupons. Always quick to help with whatever you need. Has a lot of different products as well above my expectations. Was an absolutely lovely experience. Not just your average store most likely the best around.

NOT SAFE AT THE BANK!Hate having to walk through half the store of shoppers going in the opposite direction to get to the bank inside. They need to open the other doors.Update. Stop and Shop posted they would be fixing this, but a week later have done nothing. Store was packed a couple days ago and I left. Could not get to the ATM without standing around a crowd of people.Not safe at the bank.

Stop and Shop is a clean well lit grocery store with extensive meat, fish, and vegetable departments. The store is well lit and the shelves well stocked. The staff are welcoming and ready to help if need be. As always dont forget to wear a mask in the store and do social distancing.

Nice produce

Recently this particular stop and shop has been having a hard time with covid-19 protection measures. There have been extremely high amounts of people shoved in the store for the past month. Other stop and shops, such as the winsted stop and shop, have been/were checking off how many people entered the building, in order to keep a safe anount of people inside. I was not comfortable at all with the measures taken to keep this stop and shops customers safe.

I came out to my driver side door with spit all over the window and door handle. Why who knows

Their sandwiches are good but the beer selection is only average

This stop and shop OFTEN breaks the law. They are overcharging customers because the shelf price didnt ring up correctly at the register. They refused to honor the price accuracy law. Michael kelly was VERY intimidating and rude. In my face. Accusatory.Said i intentionally sought out price accuracies. I said u INTENTIONALLY RIP OFF CUSTOMERS. Do not shop here. You will be highly disappointed!Had to file dcp complaints

There is one thing I always go to Stop&Shop for its the Boarshead Deli Meats. They have the best meats and its one of the only places that sells an excellent cracked pepper turkey. Yum! The price point at this store can be a little higher than other place which is why I only do light shopping for a hand full of items.

One of the better grocery stores in the area. Newer and cleaner than the one on the other side of town. Friendly staff. Lines usually move quickly. Produce is always very fresh. I prefer the potato salad here compared to the other chain grocers.

Lots of holes in the store which means I have to go two places instead of just one.

Staff was nice to me inside. The strikers are lying saying they are closed and telling us to go to other stores nearby when actually the store is opened! They were blocking the door just call the manager and hell come out and help you.

Good store, good selection of products

Like most major grocery stores they are very limited on the amount of actual, unprocessed, food items they stock. But most Americans are fine with eating highly processed and refined food products. Great discount, scratch and dent section. And instead of throwing out the produce when it begins to age or has blemishes they sell at a deep discount.

Ok place to shop good sales

Prices arent bad. Best option is to look for the sales and stock up when stuff is cheap.

This place is a disaster, I have to go there because it is the only close choice for me. Always the pricing is wrong and especially the fresh vegetables, most of the time are old and wilted. Everytime I have to go there I have to take a deep breath and get out fast and for the prices they are higher than there competition, avoid if you can.

They always have the food I need.... because its a grocery store.... lol, but really if u need food u go to the grocery store and they even have gluten free foods for my grandmother.

Open super late. Do your covid shopping after 9pm on a Sunday and you will see like 4 people.

Great environment. Training taking place on the floor was not compensated causing checkout lines to back up. Great food selection available for decent prices similar to all Stop and Shops. Parking lot was cluttered with trash and carts, not a regular cart attendant.

Milk was twice the price than their local competitor, Aldis. The cashier lines were understaffed while 5 staff were at the management office. Staff working at the cashiers lanes were overwhelmed. Other customers left complaining.

All it takes is one ill informed fear consumed employee to ruin the reputation of a store and it involved masks informed store manager about employee too bad they just lost 6k of my money

If you are gluten free, this place is awesome! It has double the amount of gluten free items than my local stop and shop.

I went to the dollar store in the same plaza. It was loaded with decorations galore. The girls were so happy to help me.

Clean and following covid precautions

Today around 11:30 AM I stopped to pick up a few items at Stop & Shop since this is the first time coming in since the strike. There was only one register open and people had their carriages full. The self check registers all had people waiting in line. Now I dont use them anyway because I prefer to have a cashier check me out but you would think there could be at least one register open for 15 items or less. I thought everyone wanted to get back to work but I guess that is not the case here. Therefore I left the store, went to Market 32 and bought everything I needed without waiting in any lines since almost all there registers were open. I always went to Stop & Shop but am disappointed in the service now, hope it will get better. Janet

Bought a cake from the bakery for my wife’s birthday and when we went to cut it the middle was FROZEN solid. Makes me question the employees working in that department. I know better than to buy anything else from this bakery.

I have shopped here for years. Every week. Last week I bought stop and shop brand pitas bread that was moldy when I got home. And I also bought natures promise lettuce blend that was slimy and rotten. Too bad. Ill have to take my business across the street and try the market 34 everyone talks about.

No baggers the last 3 times Ive been there. Great food selection and quality but bagging your own food while with two babies and trying to pay was not at all easy.

Pretty darn good. The products are good quality, the prices are good, and the staff are helpful.

They seem to hire anyone off the street very rude customer service. Rude noncaring store manager thought she was the receptionist. District office noncaring and lazy. This company has change dramatically over the years. Will not patronize them going to competitors.
