Amazing customer service and atmosphere. Opportunity for in or outdoor seating for a good portion of the year. They have amazing coffee, especially their cold brew. They also have a broad menu which is perfect if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. One other recommendation I have for if you visit is to try their chai tea. The drinks are incredible and a great way to warm up on a chilly fall or winter day.
We stopped in for coffee and loved the caramel latte - not too sweet (they definitely avoided the sticky, syrupy taste). My sister really enjoyed the pumpkin chia she ordered (the chia options were vanilla, spiced, or pumpkin). The atmosphere felt chill and nice, probably due to the friendly service as well as upscale hipster vibes.I was too busy drinking the coffee to take a picture of it - but hopefully this gives you an idea of the aesthetic. My siblings definitely don’t know I am posting it 😂
Fast service and great coffee this is a wonderful place to be I like the atmosphere I like the decor on the wall and the fact that it looks hand-painted. I am a huge the crow fan with Brandon Lee and theres a giant painting that I very much would like hanging on the wall. So if youre looking for a good coffee or a hangover cure alcohol is served here as well my wife got a bloody mary that she very much enjoyed. I got a black coffee that hit the spot without a doubt. I would recommend Brew to anyone in the traverse City area looking to get a little zip in their day.
Love this spot! Delicious, strong coffee and a very solid beer selection. I havent had a chance to try their their food, but I definitely want to the next time Im in town!
Everyone was super friendly. Maple latte was great! Not sickeningly sweet, but with a definite maple flavor. Also large, tasty pastries at a good price. Definitely recommend.
Didnt give me a to-go cup for my smoothie one time...but other than that, I love this place. Great food and drinks. They always hook my son up with a cup of avocado!
This is my favorite spot to pick up an apple chai-der! I always add vanilla to mine but they have several options. I also love Brew for the atmosphere. Warm, welcoming and beautifully designed, its a great place to hang out and get your work done or chat with friends. If you get a chai-der for there, it comes in a very cute mug. I also recently tried their Cobb salad and it was delicious. So grab a coffee or chai-der, your laptop or a friend, and a cozy spot at Brew, and you will be guaranteed to have a good morning/afternoon.
This is my favorite place to get coffee in traverse city and I’ve been coming here for years. I bought a lovely handmade mug they had for sale at the front. Great atmosphere and seating a variety of choices. I like how it operations as a coffee bar and alcohol bar.
Came in for the first time with some friends and we all loved the food. The sandwiches + the hummus were all great, as well as the espresso drinks. The ordering process was a little confusing and we ended up getting the wrong food more than once, had to wait for the proper order, which was all fine, but maybe they can work out the kinks in that process 😅
Great coffee and breakfast sandwich! Really nice atmosphere to sit and relax or get some work done. Nice outdoor sitting for when the weather is nice. Attentive staff.
Lovely spot for beer, cider or coffee. Lots of comfy spots to sit and just an all around chill vibe.
Excellent pumpkin latte. Very comfortable atmosphere. Cant wait to visit again
The sandwiches we ordered to-go were delicious, but they didn’t give us everything we ordered and were less than helpful when I called back to inquire about the missing item.
Drinks are good - love that you can get alcohol or coffee (was great for our group of friends) staff was not very friendly and didn’t seem very knowledgeable
Awesome lattes and great bloody Marys. Nice b-fast sandwiches and a super cool old building atmosphere. Youll like it :)
Cute stop for a morning coffee. The environment is great. Tables have clever little signs built in so you can slide them to read ‘dirty’ if you sat there. Coffees came in mason jars. We also had a croissant. Lost a star because it’s a bit overpriced: $5/drink and $4 for a croissant. And the cashier was a bit aloof.
I could see this being a very busy spot if it werent for Covid. The prices are a bit high. Was ~$16 for 2 plain coffees and a croissant. Seating and space is comfy and inviting. They offer alcohol and sandwich options here as well. The croissant was very good, but the coffee could have come from a anywhere and wasnt special. All and all, I may be back if other options are not available and its last minute/option.
Best coffee, food, atmosphere and service in town! Not to mention a great selection of MI craft brews and cider. This place truly has it all!
A great mix of coffee, local craft beers and foods. Friendly service, spaced tables and fun bathrooms. Parking can be a little tough.
Brew was great! The Spinach, Brie & Artichoke dip was too good I couldn’t even get a photo we ate it too quickly.
The service here was incredible! Very friendly staff and the chai latte was awesome; however, the older gentleman (maybe the manager??) was speaking in a derrogatory manner to the servers... it was very uncomfortable given an otherwise great experience.
Wish there was a little more food options but otherwise super solid place
We ended up going here all 3 days we stayed in TC. Incredible coffee and food.
Good breakfast sandwiches and friendly service. Had to knock off a few stars because the cold brew was undrinkable. I drink a lot cold brews and make my own - the one I got here was so watered down that it was unfortunately tasteless. Maybe I just got a bad one, or the house recipe is strange. I noticed that a LOT of water was added to my cup - I think it would be smart to revisit the dilution ratio?
Great customer service and staff as well as a delicious snack. We got pita bread and hummus which was warm and perfect and my vanilla chai latte was perfection!
I had a very delicious sandwich and a smoothie there. I forgot the name of the sandwich but it had turkey and avocado. It was AMAZING!
I Love Brew, the vibe is great and so are the drinks. Im especially fond of the Libations section of the menu. The first time I visited was to waste some time prior to a show at the theater next door, and it was great. The seating is comfy, there is exposed brick on the wall, and a nice line of tables. They also serve food, a few sandwiches, a wrap or two, and some breakfast stuff among other things.Staff is friendly (the dude with the super long beard is great!). And prices are good too.
Super bubbly and friendly staff. Great big space with indoor seating. Great drinks to boot.
Good food, tasty brew. Was busy when we went, still got good service.
What an amazing breakfast sandwich, the Farmers Tan. Would highly recommend it.
Great coffee, sandwiches, and environment, perfect place to catch up with old friends or maybe find yourself sitting next to a new one!
The service was great, loved that the indoor seating was spaced out and the whole place was clearly being sanitized throughout the day. My Feisty Veggie sandwich was amazing and the Americano was smooth.
Almond croissant was really good!
Life saving breakfast. Everything bagel sandwich, cold brew, and a bloody started my morning off well.
Great atmosphere! Great employees!
Delicious coffee, great ambiance. Lovely place for a quiet cup and a book, or for low-key hangs.
Great food and tea latte, but service was a bit slow. A lot of people came in at the same time, but I was the first, and one of the last to leave.
Great Coffee, beautiful people, and space to breath in downtown Traverse City!
We came here twice during our weekend getaway. While it wasn’t my favorite coffee I’ve ever had, it was solid. Instead, I appreciated the friendly staff and festive Halloween decor. If you order any food, I recommend the Farmers Tan breakfast sandwich. We ordered it both mornings for breakfast.I would likely try another place next time we visit Traverse City, but I also wouldn’t be opposed to coming back.
Omg, the perfect mocha! After three weeks of travelling around Ohio and Michigan, I’d nearly given up on finding one in the Midwest. Terrific balance of chocolate/espresso flavor, served HOT in a ceramic mug. Atmosphere is great – cozy brick walls, wood floors, tall ceilings, plenty of seating both indoor and out – the perfect place to hang out with a laptop or chat with a friend. Service was friendly and pricing on par for a well-crafted espresso drink. Loved this place! Will be my first stop if I ever make it back to Traverse City.
Very friendly today. More than usual, but it wasn’t crowded. They have the best Chai Latte in town!
Great coffee and pastries, good spot to socialize, read or work.
Great coffee spot to get work done. Lots of outlets.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner, coffee, beer, or liquor this place has it all!
Top notch 👌🏼
Ive only had their organic drip coffee here so far. Lowest price in town for coffee and it tastes great. Save 3 bucks by skipping starbucks this is way better. Food and drinks too!
We come to TC about every few months while looking for homes. Every time we come we stop at The Brew for a chai tea latte and a pour over. Their spiced chai is my favorite.
Great vibe, atmosphere and drink choices.
Cool place, nice staff, quality product
They have great coffee and a really good seasonal pumpkin chai. The atmosphere is good, the only set back I can think of is sometimes the music is too loud.I noticed that since there were a lot of new employees, Brew has overall become a lot better. Whatever changed, has been great!
Great drinks, great food, great staff, and great ambience! What else can you ask for?
Coffee is good. The oat milk option is a bit tart (but that is the product, not the barista.) Veggie bagel sandwich is better with cream cheese than regular.
Never got service that wasnt condescending honestly
Theyre doing a great job enforcing social distancing, and the service is top notch
Mediocre, pricey, coffee. Crowded and no masks on employees or customers. Limited parking available with 30 minute max on meters. Nope all the way around.
Super cute, great service, the perfect place to go if youre nursing a hangover too!! Lol
The coffee drinks are what we needed to start our day! My breakfast sandwich was delicious! The staff is so friendly!
A great place to meet up with friends as they have something for every life style. There is a great selection of craft beer, wine, mixed drinks and a full coffee bistro. They serve breakfast, salads and tasty sandwiches. There are carnivore and vegetarian options all fresh and locally sourced. The atmosphere has a nice cozy rustic home town vibe. So if your down town and need break for a pick me up coffee or a wind down adult beverage, a bite to eat or a place to meet stop on in.
So Ive been here twice in one day. This morning for a cuppa and a spot of food. I ordered a mocha, my husband ordered a twitchy Irishman, plus we had their croissant, lemon poppyseed muffin and cheddar bagel. We really enjoyed our time there this morning. It was a nice atmosphere, if you didnt want to be inside, you had the option of sitting outside. We returned in the evening after a disappointing dinner at a near by restaurant for their happy hour. My husband and I really enjoyed our drinks. He had a Lizard of Koz and I had the Flannel mouth Cider. We both recommend our respective drinks haha! We hope you drop by and grab a cuppa or a quick bite to eat. We cant wait to return again. Cheers!
Why do you put syrup in gin and tonic
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The most overpriced, unfriendly place I’ve ever been. While waiting for my (not very good) latte, alone and more than six feet from anyone, some sad, angry little girl behind the counter got hysterical when I adjusted my mask because my glasses were fogging up. News flash, masks aren’t CDC recommended unless social distancing isn’t possible, and my mask never went below my mouth or nose. Save your money and go somewhere else where the employees aren’t allowed to abuse the customers.
Girl lost her mind cause I pulled my mask down for a second. Masks aren’t required unless social distancing cannot happen. No need to overreact honey. It ain’t that serious as I stand in the corner ALONE.
Great place to chill, get some work done, and meet new people. All the staff Ive met has been friendly, helpful, and frankly wonderful people. My new favorite place to go relax and also be very productive. Centrally located and a great atmosphere. Do the Brew!
Not a very welcoming atmosphere. Cashier made no eye contact. Minimum tip suggested was 20%. My late didn’t have much flavor but I would be open to try other drinks. My wife wasn’t a big fan of her cold brew either. Interior had a very cool look. Looks like it would be a fun place to hang out pre-COVID.
Love the espresso here.
This place is awesome. They have a little of everything; coffee, spirits, sandwiches, breakfast. Their power oatmeal is really good. Give them a try, nice people and great atmosphere too!Edit: they recently removed one of my favorites, the cinnamon toast. They made it special for me but when it came out it was much smaller than it used to be. After expressing my disappointment they gave me a credit. If I could write another 5 star review I would. Thank you.I wanted to add a review from a couple recent experiences. I still like this place but I was disappointment in the changes to the power oats. The way it is served now it comes out in a small bowl with no extra room and a giant dollop of peanut butter ( and I love a lot of peanut butter) on the top of the oatmeal (not stirred in the oats) and as soon as you attempt to stir the PB into the oats you have stuff coming out of the bowl and going all over the table. Please go back to the way you used to serve it, or just provide a bigger bowl.
Great coffee and sandwiches.
Great place to meet up, hang out and grab a drink of any type. Casual, open atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Traverse Citys best coffee shop, hands down.
Loved this local coffee shop. Its in a very cute part of town with an outside patio and gorgeous interior. I loved how warm and homie feeling the atmosphere was and the workers are so kind. They will bring your brink and food directly to your table with a smile. I will definitely come back to check this out next time Im in town
Great place with the best cold brew we’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place for coffee, but we also came here for happy hour and their beer selection was good. Their cocktails looked amazing too but we didn’t get to try those. The service was great as well which we always appreciate. Will come again!
This has and always will be my zen place to read and just relax. Even though things are a little different. They will return to normal and I will still be their biggest fan
We loved our caramel lattes! They were frothy, pretty, and delicious! The ambiance was cool but its just too dark for me. The first time we went in, we walked right back out because of the darkness.
Don’t waste your money, just go to Starbucks or even McDonald’s maybe better
Hot chocolate was very rich with fresh whipped cream on top. Hit the spot on a cold day, very chill atmosphere. Deff a hipster cafe. Fresh food, good quality and fast
I love that the lighting is low, the furniture is unique, and it has a cozy vibe. The times tunes are always just right for a coffee house vibe.Great selection of regular coffee and even some cool tea/coffee cocktails. Pretty great idea! Good menu is pretty great as well. Breakfast served all day. Great draft beer selection.
I am very snobby about my coffee and aim to start my own coffee shop one day. This coffee shop was great! The staff was super nice to us! But the coffee was perfect! Right temperature, no burnt milk, perfect balance. Also the place itself had a very cool vibe to it. I would highly recommend giving these guys a visit.
