Nice little coffee shop with desserts! The morsels come with more than 10 flavors. My personal favorite is the devil chocolate (cant remember the full name)its rich and flavorful. We sat at the outdoor area. It was not a big one but we were lucky enough to have the sear to look straight at the little canal that flows right next to the shop.Definitely recommend to go grab a coffee and maybe some morels and enjoy the day with nice scenery.
Stopped in this little shop just looking for a coffee and ended up telling all my reader friends about it. So unique, great cappuccinos and the morsels were amazing. Great vibe, very relaxed and friendly.
The best coffee Ive ever had! I went twice in two days because I loved it so much. I have ADHD so not much caffeine gets me going anymore, but Morsels Intelligencia coffee woke me right up.
We had breakfast here and sat outside by the lake. The coffee is good, and service was very slow and the food left a lot to be desired. I had the sausage biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was overcooked, and the avacado looked old and had brown spots. The view outside was wonderful, and was a great place for conversation. I would recommend coming here for a cup of coffee and the view, but not for the food.
Highly recommend if you love coffee and dessert. Morsels has delicious little bites of heaven and good quality coffee. With their frequently changing menu you can get new things often enough to never get bored of anything, and there are plenty of options for kids and adults. So if you are looking for some coffee and a beautiful view, this is a great place to stop by.
We ordered a latte and a white tea from this place. The latte was too sweet but the tea was nice. Also, we tried morsels and we really like them. The gluten free morsels we tried were called “something to wine about” and “ the dark side of the macaroon”.
Great coffee! My husband got a poor over and I purchased a carmel latte and both were really good. Probably one of my favorite places in Traverse City for coffee. Also, we got a dozen of the morsel desserts and they are so tasty and much more filling than you would think. We will go again for sure. If you are in downtown TC and need a sweet treat or a cup of joe, its a must.
Beautiful patio to sit and enjoy their delicious coffee.
Service was very nice the person who served us was freindly, However I got a berry smoothie and it turns out that I got the juice brand known as naked blended tasted very watered down. Otherwise good experience just dont get the smoothies.
First time there. It was amazing! Very helpful and the morsels are delicious!! Will definitely be someplace we will visit again!
Nice go to coffee shop at the start of downtown. A little overpriced for the morsels but the coffee and matcha is good
This place has amazing expresso. Done correctly! The strength was perfectly balanced in my drink and the expresso was perfect! As a big coffee person I enjoy companies that got their expresso right!
Great place for coffee and sweet treats
Passed by it a couple times and finally stopped in with a friend. I ordered a hot chocolate and it wasnt that great. But their coffee and tea are really good. So really thats my fault for ordering a hot chocolate in a place that specializes in Coffee/Tea. I also tried some of their Morsels, which they are named after.it hit or miss all based on tase. Had some really great ones, and a few I didnt care for. Tried their turkey sandwich off the menu and it was delicious. Huge as well! All in all it was a good experience and the staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. Small cafe, but had a nice vibe to it, will deff go back.
The shop was cute! The girl working was kind. When we started eating the little cupcakes, something tasted off but I thought it was just me. I tried another one today and the taste is the taste of freezer burn. Im not sure if its from the way the cupcakes are stored during the day or bc of the pandemic, maybe they had to freeze cupcakes to maintain resources with minimal waste. Really sad bc they look so good!
This is a great place to get some good coffee and also some really good little cupcakes. The staff are nice and the seating and views are great. I would definitely recommend coming here for some good treats and coffee.
Wifes coffee was good, but my hot chocolate for the price was not good.
2-12oz lattes, iced will run you $14.41....I didn’t pay attention when I ordered them but had to do a double check when I saw the notification on my phone for a purchase. Wayyyyy overpriced for what it is...it’s coffee not gold
This place was great for coffee and some delicous morsels! The outside seating was very pleasant. The morsels are a great alternative to ice cream for a nice treat.
Had a horrible experience at Morsels while visiting Traverse City. We ordered our coffee after waiting for the server to process an online order for 5 minutes. After she was done she took out order but was rude and snippy. We were asked to wait outside, where we sat for 20 minutes before deciding to leave. No one had notified us that it would be an extended wait, and overall it was a poor experience. I would not recommend going to Morsels if you want to leave in a timely manner.
Overated
Coffee wasn’t as good as the last few times we’ve been there. Staff member at the register could have been a lot friendlier. Treated us like we were a nuisance. No design on top of either mine or my wife’s coffee and it tasted watered down. Hope it’s not a sign of decline for this business we used to love coming to.
My first time in this place and it was an excellent experience . I got two different coffee drinks and both were extremely tasty. I also got a multi grain breakfast sandwich and it was very good. It is a small cozy place that makes you feel very comfortable. I do wish they had more soft comfy seating, but that is alright. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I wish I had a place like this in Rochester Hills.
Best coffee shop in Traverse City! Maple Bourbon and Vanilla Lattes are amazing. Tasty bite sized morsels are a nice addition too! Also offer a variety of breakfast choices.
This is a great stop in downtown Traverse city. I automatically feel positively toward any cafe that carries Intelligentsia coffee—I have a lot of nostalgia attached to it—but Im pleased to say that Morsels prepares it well. The coffee drinks Ive had have all been at the level of most Third Wave coffee shops Ive visited.Food-wise, Ive enjoyed what Ive gotten. The breakfast offerings are tasty, inexpensive, and relatively quick. The titular morsels themselves are delicious. Theyre the perfect amount of dessert to complement an espresso drink. Finally, the space itself is lovely, with very nice outdoor seating.Recommended.
Good vegan coffee. Nice outside seating. No bathrooms. Wish they had hemp milk!
If you havent tryed there morsels its a must do
This place is cute and quaint. They had a lot of healthier options as far as breakfast sandwiches and plates go. Portions sizes were good, I thought the prices were fair. It was a nice stop before we hit the road back home. Would definitely visit again!
The cold brew coffee is PHENOMENAL! Seriously, I thought Starbucks had good cold brew coffee... They do not come close to how delicious Morsels was! Had to knock down a star since they mixed up our two cold brew orders. Very minor mistake from an otherwise excellent shop!
Best coffee shop with gorgeous view in Traverse City! Their Traverse Fog is a must-try! Highly recommend!
The smoothie here are delicious! Get the mango or the strawberry u wont be disappointed.
I paid 4.20$ for a cappuccino that was way too small for 4.20$. I was hoping that the taste would make it worth the money, but sadly no. It was so strong that I almost spit it out. Arguably the worst coffee I have ever consumed in my life. I’d prefer watered - down, one week old Folgers to this.
9:30 am on 7/12/18A service comedy of errors with attitude! Please train your staff. The saving grace was that the coffee was decent... once you got it.I watched two people in front of me get their orders wrong, incorrect requested cups, people walk out and just switch to a drip because it was taking so, so long to get any orders out and correct. Guess what? It wasnt even busy in there! The bewildered look of the 5 or so customers was contagious. It took almost 15 minutes and they forgot to add my requested flavor, which is fine and let it go. What was not cool was the blond slamming cups on the counter and being snarky to customers. Ill assume she was having a bad day or maybe being a barista is not her gig. Again, the coffee was good, so there is the positive. Morsels, you can do much better than this.
Amazing coffee shop. Open later than most shops downtown. Got a really good hot cocoa. They have public restrooms as well but unfortunately do not have changing stations for kiddos in diapers so we had to change out daughter on the floor with her changing pad. Always come prepared. Still a great little cafe.
Perfect place to enjoy a coffee with a view of the boardman and the bay, and get some work done.
Great coffee shop downtown. Love the morsels and coffee, but the avocado toast is my favorite!
A good place in Traverse City to get single origin coffee. The bite sized baked goods were amazing as well.
Love the bite-size morsels (mini cupcakes)! Perfect portion size for those watching their weight or who cant decide and want one of everything. I ordered my tasty treats to go but inside seating areas looked comfortable and clean. Next time Im in the area, I plan to revisit!
Wow that’s a really good cup of coffee.
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! They have delicious food and Gluten free bread. Cutest patio to sit on. I enjoyed my morning s there.Perfect wait and, polite staff !
Coffee is great, much better than what youd find at your typical fast-coffee shop... Their Morsels are always a treat, always have nice service, clean place, great views of the river/west bay. One complaint is the seating and atmosphere. Seating isnt always the most comfortable and it can get loud fairly quickly. However, the latter depends on the other guests!
This is a great little cafe in downtown Traverse City with a simple and tasty breakfast and lunch menu. For dessert they have small one-bite little cakes in a wide variety of flavours. As the coffee, its first rate and a warm welcome to any morning. Theres also a small kids menu and have inside and outside seating.
Great coffee at a beautiful location! Allergen friendly (gluten free morsels) and dairy alternatives. Perfectly located to grab a cup of coffee and stroll along the water or to the downtown shops.
Love the artisan coffees and morsels. You have to try the Seventh Heaven, one of our favorites along with a good latte!
I had the iced chai tea latte and my husband had an espresso coffee. It was so yummy!!!
Wonderful coffee and the cutest little morsels you’ll ever have!
Oat milk Latte is arguably the best in town :)
My wife and I had coffee, here. A nice little place nestled on a water canal. Great views, too.
Ive now visited Morsels a handful of times, and their espresso drinks and service is consistently on point. Today I tried their vegetable hash and it was fantastic. If you are looking for quick service, this probably isnt the place for you. They make their espresso drinks with care and the result is taste that is out of this world. This place focuses on quality not the quanity of people they can rush through the doors.
Great espresso = great Americano. Also loved the maple bourbon latte and the brunch sandwich (gluten free) that I tried. BUT lets talk about the morsels! Omg the morsels. Tiny decorated cake bites with tons of flavor. I had every gluten free option, and each one was top notch. They seem pricey, but given the quality ingredients and care that must go into each one, they are worth every penny. The menu is big for a small cafe, creative, and overall impressive. Clean interior, with a great view of the river. They take care of the details, like stacking actual water glasses for people to take as they please. Basically just check it out, and tip your barista ;)
Fantastic atmosphere with I good view. The espresso was very good as well, and reasonably priced for espresso. The employees were nice and answered any questions about the many coffee/tea beverages.
If I could give them zero stars, I would. Despite our receipt showing the correct order, a 12oz vanilla iced latte and a 16oz hazelnut iced latte, the drinks were made opposite. When I went up to ask, the woman I was speaking to seemed sympathetic at first, until the other barista starting mumbling, No, the vanilla was 16 and hazelnut was 12. I said that we had ordered them the opposite and I could show them the receipt. She said, Well, I can top it off with some ice. Are you fing kidding? How rude can you be? It was YOUR mistake, the receipt showed this. If my baby hadnt started crying, I would have been a little more persistent and probably asked for a refund instead of just leaving.
A trip to Traverse City is not complete without at LEAST one visit to Morsels! They make the best lattes Ive ever had with all homemade flavoring, too! Vanilla and sea salt caramel are my favorite! The avocado toast and oatmeal are so, so delicious! Dont get me started on those tasty morsels, too! My mom just bought a 3 month subscription of morsels for me and I feel like Ive won the lottery, since I live 4 hours away and miss Morsels all year after our annual visit to Traverse! Keep doing what your doing and consider opening another location in metro Detroit!!
Unfriendly staff. Refused to fix a drink that they incorrectly made too small despite our receipt showing the correct order. The iced latte was nothing to brag about and overpriced for its size.
Morsels is a cute little place with friendly staff and a chill atmosphere. However I was quite underwhelmed with the actual morsels. I found them lack luster and to be honest boring despite the variety of flavors.I do not particularly like coffee so I ordered a cherry smoothie. Why not, I was in the cherry capital of the world. I was expecting fresh fruit so you can imagine my disgust when I saw the juice concentrate come out. SKIP THE SMOOTHIES.
This was our second attempt to have breakfast. Last time we had to ask about our order after 20 min and the food was cold when it came out, obviously sitting waiting for the server. This time, the nice order taker told us it would be 20 min, they were busy.At the 30 min mark I asked about our food and got sniped at, they were busy. Our food then came out and it was cold again. Staff serving food not paying attention. No more visits for us, too disorganized.JK
This place is super cute. Recommend the Maple Bourbon Latte! So good!
This place is a staple every time I come to Traverse City, they make great coffee and have a good light lunch menu. I havent tried their breakfast but I bet its tasty. Great location, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
Indescribably delicious. This place is my wifes absolute favorite coffee spot. Consistently amazing. Good prices to boot. A stunning view of TC Bay. Dont go through TC without grabbing a cup of Intelligentsia Coffee!
Lovely selection today. We shared 4 morsels and sat by the river watching the kayakers enjoying a perfect traverse city day 🇺🇸
Solid coffee with a perfect vibe, especially in autumn. If youre looking to get work done in a calming, cozy environment, this is the place to be in TC.
Normal coffee shop fare with the addition of bite-sized baked goods. I liked being able to sample several different flavors instead of one large baked item. The service for drinks and morsels was fast, breakfast menu item a little slow, but nothing egregious.
Good coffee shop, employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Coffee was good, plenty of seating. Free wifi and outlets galore for charging devices.
Coffee was decent but the morsels were amazing. I ordered a caffe Mocha and it tasted like the espresso in it was two burnt/bitter. However the morsel was a great counterbalance to it.
Best coffee in the Traverse City area for coffee and espresso drink connoisseurs. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
I enjoyed my Mocha and Gluten free treats to go. Its so nice to have a gluten free option. They are not certified gluten free for Celiac Disease. So your at risk great staff too.
We were on vacation and we desperately needed reliable WiFi. My wife teaches an online class and had to grade an assignment. I had a nice cappuccino while she graded papers. 🙂
I love local coffee shops, and this one was very cool. The barista was really kind, and the shop itself had a good vibe. The coffee was solid, and they had little treats to choose from. I would definitely recommend supporting this nice local coffee shop!
We waited 30 minutes for a regular coffee. We waited 30 minutes for a smoothie and a bagel. We waited 40 minutes for a decaf latte. About 15 other people got coffee before us. This one lady waited an hour for toast and eventually gave up. Like we did.
They constantly screw up with the pricing. I payed $2 less than my friend who ordered the same thing as I did. Coffee is good but not worth it.
Intelligentsia Coffee and awesome service! Delightful 5 oz. cappuccino. Friendly staff and good for a quick, sweet bite! Thanks, guys!
Awesome little coffee joint. Great drinks and friendly staff. The morsels are freaking delectable too. We will definitely be back!!
It was a little busy or I would have said something in person. My family and I purchased 5 hot chocolates for 15$ and it was basically warm milk. My kids were very disappointed and so was I. I have made home made cocoa and you guys just needed more chocolate. How simple a taste test would be to avoid unhappy customers.
Ordered a boardmen biscuit and a small coffee.Waited 15 minutes surrounded by screaming children and had to ask for my simple coffee after the barista’s mom (who came in 10 min after I ordered) was made a latte.Won’t be back.
Delicious coffee and treats!
The environment is very quiet and doesnt have the high energy vibe of so many coffee shops. Drinks are good, and the morsels themselves are very tasty, though more something to covet than to nurture you!
Staff was terrific! One of the guys explained us with all details about the bakery bites, the right size pleasure! Very good coffee and nice books to read! A must-be spot in Traverse City!
Very tasty bites. Appropriately named business. Small little morsels of pure delight. I had one savory one and one sweet one.
Oh yummy! Best coffee in town. Highly recommend it!
Awesome staff. Great coffee and food. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Right across the street from public parking garage.
Visiting Family from out of town and enjoyed a quick stop here before strolling the shops. good selections of unique cold and hot coffee offerings as well as teas and specialty “small-bite” desserts. Although small there are 3 styles of indoor seating, bar shoe looking out windows, cafe tables, and 2 lounge chairs by a faux Fireplace, outdoors by a little inlet are both faux adirondack chairs and a covered deck with more cafe tables. Great place to pause away from the frenetic pace of TC in the tourist-haunted summer.
Great coffee and atmosphere. A bit pricey though. Definitely should check it out though if youre a coffee/ espresso lover!
First time here..Super cute place for a meeting, friends catching up or just meeting someone for the first time. Love the atmosphere, small and quaint with a small cozy foreplace on a cool morning!! Will be back again. Love there little editables just perfect bit with tea or coffee.
