Hi Sandy & crew!Just wanted to say I stopped at Cuppa Joe West on my way home today... and WOW!First of all, nailed the cappuccino. I had the 8 oz. perfect temp & rich espresso flavor w/milk.Second, thank you for being open before 8 and on Monday.Third, the pastries all looked amazing, though I chosebreakfast, and again... you knocked it out of the park! The pastry was perfect and the fillings... substantial.Fourth? Sweet staff.Great job. I will be stopping again. Thanks for helping me have great start to my morning and work day!Andrea Romeyn
Ok, I already raves to the staff directly but they need a standing ovation here!!! I have stopped before and already enjoyed their great coffee. This week I stopped in hoping to also grab some brunch with a friend. We had tried several places recommended to us who were all booked up due to need for a Covid reservation. When we got to Cuppa Joe, the employees were kind, happy to see us and more than happy to help however they could. Their entire demeanor made our day as many of our Traverse City stops were less than enthusiastic for opening tourist season, but Cuppa Joe was the complete opposite. Our food was AMAZING. Do not underestimate what they have to offer because they are a small business. My friend got their BLT, I got the open faced Egg Salad Sandwich. We went half on each to give them both a try. The BLT was made with Sun dried tomatoes and I cant believe I have never done this myself! So so so good. The egg salad not only floored us on flavor but we could not believe how such a basic sandwich had been SO elevated in flavor! We agreed it was our favorite!Thank you so much to the Staff who worked there on 5/2/21! Food was perfect, you were all so pleasant, and we are thankful you even carried food out to our table! If you all just keep being wonderful this business is going to Flourish SO fast!
AMAZING!! Homemade bread and fresh wondefdul veggies on our BLTs, smoothies wete made with fresh berries. Seriously can not say enough positive about our meal here. Teens were very happy, iced coffee for 1 and a smoothie for the other, we all got BLtS. The employees were so sweet and friendly. We sat on the patio, westher was gorgeous and the scenery lovely 😍
Its easy to write a glaring review about coffee from a coffee shop. Make no mistake, my mocha was most enjoyable. What inspired me to divulge my experience, however, was the unanticipated breakfast burrito.I wasnt necessarily in search of sustenance. I quickly glanced at their noon menu and decided I could use a breakfast snack. I hadnt eaten since the evening before and intermittent fasting was testing my resolve. Im not normally a fan of burritos, but the ingredients were enticing and I was happy to see that I wouldnt have to manually remove any unwanted additions.Having fed the kids and finished half the mocha, I decided it was about time to satiate my own carnal desires. As enthusiastic as a toddler told to brush his teeth, I unwrapped the piping hot burrito and dove in...Oh my heavens to Betsy. Thick gooey cheese, fluffy scrambled eggs, juicy meat and hearty potatoes. This meal was patiently handcrafted with more love and tenderness than I have felt in years (sorry kids). And the side of salsa was simply the icing on the cake, if the cake was a burrito and the icing was salsa. To say this was filling would also be an understatement. I came for a snack and left with an Italian wedding sized portion. It was comparable to a rolled up medium sized pizza intended for two hungry collegiate wrestlers. As I write this review I am waddling back to the car like a full term mother bearing twins. All in all, this cafe burrito has been the highlight of my memorial day weekend. With a vacation filled with tours, wineries, shopping and museums, any sane person would think this statement absurd and overflowing with hyperbole...My stomach, and my heart, say otherwise.
This is the best chai latte I have ever had. All other chai doesn’t taste the same anymore.
Food and coffee is excellent, just wish they opened up their space to dine-in as they did prior to 2020. Swing by as long as you are not expecting to sit down for your meal.
Cup of Joe has excellent food and some of the best coffee in Traverse City. Their mochas are the best Ive had anywhere! They are only offering take out right now because of the pandemic, but when they are able to offer dining in, they have a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your food and drinks.
Best lunch in town! Love the BLT and highly recommend it!!!
Took my now fiance to this place two years ago and we fell in love while having coffee and talking in the morning. Last year we came back here. I asked her to marry me on the old mission peninsula. She said yes. This town is something special to me and to us. Food here is amazing as well as the people serving.
Made me feel very very uncomfortable sad discrimination is real 😕and its not about the mask ah
This place is so much better than Starbucks I cant even believe it.
Best coffee.Iced mocha breve.You’re welcome. 🤗
Really safe during covid. Really friendly staff. If you want family-owned coffee that is well made go here.
Love this place! I bring my own mug so they dont waste a paper cup, and its so much fun to grab a made-to-order, DELICIOUS sandwich! They are environmentally conscious and super nice ! Great service! ♥️
They gave me a fresh baked cookie and all I can say it was super good👏👏
Great coffee and even better food. Try the pesto chicken sandwich.
Nice little coffee shop. Has a very relaxed atmosphere. Like the old fashion wrap around bar. Good coffee and a very good scone. Usually not big on scones but looked yummy and it was. 😁
A solid coffee house with diverse offerings. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a sandwich in the picturesque Commons, located in a former psychiatric hospital, known now as The Villiage in Traverse City. I recommend the chocolate chip cookie, its huge and quite tasty.
Im a HUGE van of their biscuits and gravy. By far my favorite in TC. Make sure you get some fresh squeezed orange juice while you are there too.
So happy to have Cuppa Joe in the building that I work in! They have amazing coffee, breakfast, and lunch. My usual is a Dirty Chai - their homemade Chai paired with a couple espresso shots is the perfect afternoon pick me up. My favorite lunch is the Greek Salad with chicken. High quality ingredients and the portion is enough for 2 people or to save half for later. Great value for the price.Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Love the comfortable vintage vibe of the place. Highly recommend.
Great food and scones. 9 bean row pastries. Fun place easy going staff. Great coffee.
One of the worst experiences for getting a quick cup of coffee. I wanted a pumpkin spice latte, the guy working seemed like he would rather be anywhere else than there, breathed a huge sigh when he took my order, and I was given a cup of burnt espresso. No pumpkin syrup, spice, flavoring, any of it. For $4.24. The place also looked really messy behind the counter. I have been to the other location (drive-thru) before and was given great service. This was so bad I couldnt stop myself from writing this review; extremely disappointing, wont ever go back there and will tell everyone.
We were looking for a quick brunch for our last day in town. With our first choice bogged down with a long wait, we stumbled into this quaint and unassuming coffee shop. This was a great place for breakfast that surprisingly wasn’t overwhelmed with people even with the quality offerings. Fantastic food that had us contemplating a second course.
Get a hot fresh ground cup of coffee through the drive through of the old bank. Doesnt suck!
If you want an extraordinary dirty chai in a totally unique setting, amongst what I’m certain are the friendliest people on earth: head out to the old hospital, venture down into the Mercato, and follow the signs for Joe’s. What a total gem.
Great place for a quick bite, nice staff simple menu lovely baked goods.
Great sandwiches salad etc. for a quick note Friendly staff. Casual and comfortable. Reasonable prices.
Nice place good coffee. Food and ambience is just okay
I definitely prefer this location over the one on front st. nicer staff and better service all around!
Great place for coffee and the scones are awsome. Best kept secret on TC
Staff was friendly, probably the best chai latte Ive ever had. Brother warns that the coldbrew is a little watery but still good.
Quiet place to eat. Staff lacks basic hospitality needed to maintain a restaurant in this vacation destination atmosphere. Food ok, mildly over priced for a guy with a panini grill. Charged .50 per cup for an extra cup after I spent $34 dollars for my family to eat - not a good sign of customer appreciation. Ill spend my vacation money next time.e elsewhere
It’s an awesome place very awesome staff I recommend cuppa joe
A relaxing atmosphere and creative recipes. Love the wraps and two lattes. Staff are friendly and efficient.
Great place thats been in Traverse since the 90s.Definitely landmark status!
Service is a little slow, but made up for with friendly staff and delicious food. The space itself is fantastic, Im sure theres interesting history
Good coffee shop with excellent food! The very berry smoothie, Asian chicken salad, breakfast sandwich with sausage, and BLT are personal favorites!
Food is always amazing and the staff is fabulous!!!

Kinda drab, but comfortable atmosphere. Quiet. The barista was cool, and the coffee was fine.
