Super reasonable prices; all drinks are fantastic and are VERY distinct in flavor (which can sometimes be difficult to pin down at coffee places!), chocolates and other treats are obviously very special, and the staff is super chill. Awesome place

The service was excellent, the baristas were very skilled at their job. Very friendly staff, they greeted everyone who came through the door & it wasnt fake or forced. They were genuinely happy to see the customers.

The chocolate was phenomenal! I had a chocolate caramel bar - smooth, rich and creamy - tasted fresh and home made. My wife had a dark chocolate melt away - like a truffle center and was soft and truly melted in your mouth. Wife also had a butterscotch mocha and loved it, so smooth. If you miss this stop in Troy, you will regret it. Go get it!! That is the spot!

Great location with two entries and plenty of seating. Some amazing coffee drinks and chocolate to die for. As far as whole beans, the Toasted Coconut is highly recommended.

This place is massively hyped by the locals. It’s a staple downtown business. So keep in mind there’s a lot of nostalgia and civic pride behind many of these reviews. I love my town but if you’re coming in from elsewhere. Here’s my honest 2 cents on Winans. The coffee just really isnt that good. Sure the lattes and steamers and mocha whatever’s are good, but when you drown the coffee in sugar and flavors, doesn’t do much matter what actual coffee you use. The actual coffee is ok. If you really like coffee, I would avoid this place. There is too much great coffee around to waste money here. I’ve also heard from multiple employees that the family that owns Winans are VERY NOT good people. Like terribly bad human beings. I suppose they passed ownership to their son, who I’ve heard from people know him, is not all that great either, not as bad as pops, but meh anyways. But really just a short way away is Mid-Town and Purebred. They have great coffee. and up in Piqua,North Star Coffee Station has some of the best coffee I’ve had in a long time. Try these places out if you like coffee and want to support local business that need your support. Winans is a chain now, not really a “small local business” anymore anyway.

You gotta love a local shop. Winans never fails to have a great variety of chocolates but I felt this store had a larger variety ( maybe because Easter is so close ) If you have never enjoyed a coffee from here please make it a point . Our favorite is the carmel kiss !

Staff is friendly and helpful. Store is clean and organized. The candy is delicious. Flavor of coffee is right on. Only thing is that they dont offer Robust Coffee. Hopefully they will in the future. This is why I give 4 ☆.

Always Feels Like HomeWhenever Im passing by on I-75, I try to make time to drive into downtown Troy to visit this location. Living in Troy for nearly 17 years before leaving 10+ years ago, returning to this location is like coming home. One of my favorite experiences is walking through those doors and inhaling the delightful aromas of coffees, chocolates and baked goods.Ill admit that after all these years, Im still a creature of habit and generally order a simple large cup of brewed Seattle blend. Occasionally, Ill give in to my coffee sweet tooth and order a grande hazelnut latte, always hot and steamy and delicious. And, Ill usually walk out with a pound of the beans to take home to Georgia. Im also likely to grab a few of their buckeyes, wetzels or wurtles to delight the family as well.

An adorable little coffee shop in the downtown. Its very nice with a good variety of drinks and a rotation seasonal menu. The chocolates and candies are also very good. There is a wide variety and gift sets as well. The staff is always nice and there is enough seating. Comfy and cozy coffee shop, highly recommended!

Was in town for few days. My latte was perfect every time and the price is right. They are known for their chocolate treats but their coffee is exceptional.

Was extremely packed lined up from counter to the door. Even though it took a minute to get out order they were very friendly and efficient! Probably could have used a few extra hands though! Considering the weather and the tours going on

I wouldnt say Winans is the most unique coffee place ever, but anytime Ive been here its been top tier! The coffee itself is excellent. Even if youre not an avid coffee drinker but prefer the Starbucks style drink, Winans does it better!

I love Winans. Ive been to this location many times. Its very clean. The coffee is awesome. The chocolate and gift options are very nice. The staff is very friendly. If you have a Buckeye fan on your Christmas list, they have Ohio State coffee mugs for sale right now.

Great place in a quaint downtown square that takes you back to a slower pace in time. Take the time to enjoy a great cup of coffee and indulge in some very fine chocolate candies. The young lady, Emma, was kind, sweet, and gave us great advise on their products.

A very quiet and relaxing chocolate place. Candy by the pound. Package coffee to take home and brew. Coffees ordered the way you want them. Go and enjoy. They also have chocolate covered oreos abd buckeyes. Yum. 😋

Winans is amazing! It is my favorite coffee establishment in Troy. I have been to other stores as well and they are equally as good. I buy chocolates from them as well... especially at Christmas time as gifts. People always love getting Winans chocolates in their stockings!

Chocolate and coffee what a winning combination! The Seattle chain may be opening a new shop every 15 hours in China, but in the Miami Valley we are spoiled with our Winans. For instance for the month of October carmel apples are special enough, but nuts and or sea salt may be added. But then again the Buckeye apple has a layer of peanut butter and chocolate. This Winans is in a historic building near an outside fountain in Historic Troy OH with unique shops and within walking distance of a museum and cultural center. All this can be reached from the bike trail. Enjoy!

Great coffee and the only place in troy ohio that I can get coffee the way I need and want. Even when busy they get coffee done fast and right. And its always friendly when I go in there.

I stopped into get a coffee well I was at the strawberry festival. The store looked great, coffee was a lot better then I thought it was going to be and the employees were amazingly helpful when I asked for a recommendation on what to order as I had never been to the store before. I will have to go back and check out the chocolate when I am in the area again.

Excellent coffee selection. The owner spends his days sourcing and roasting great coffee from various places around the world. They make a wonderful Americano that I order every time, without fail.
