I had a great experience taking my GR Supra into Suburban Toyota of Troy for service this week. My service manager, DJ Howard, did a great job ensuring all my service needs were met and handled in a timely manner.
Had no issues with the car prior to normal maintenance which i pre paid for....was told leaves got into vents during oil change and might make noise....and i would need to get that cleaned out....of course at a cost....my truck was fine before i brought it here.The wait was another big issue that morning...over 2 hrs for oil change tire rotation
The customer service was great and they kept me informed of the delivery status. The buying process was nice and easy with a lot of it taken care of online in advance. Dennis took great care of me!

Today 6/1/2021, I went into the dealership for routine maintenance on my car. This place was AMAZING! Dealing with a post holiday rush (everybody came in today) my car needs were still meet within a reasonable amount of time. Maryanne quarterbacked this so kudos to her. Im very satisfied.Nick P

But I had such a good experience with my sales associate, JC, that I am compelled to write.JC is exactly who you want beside you when buying a car, which can be a stressful experience. He is kind, patient, knowledgeable. Zero pressure- just a good sense of humor and the ability to help me understand, objectively, the process and my options. I dreaded entering a car dealership, in general, but it was such a positive experience. Ask for him!
The wait to check in was entirely too long. However, Ashley Elsalman did at least acknowledge us waiting and apologized. She was very pleasant to deal with.
Very please with the maintenance service for my 2017 RAV4 hybrid. Oil change, battery, cabinet filter, wipers, and rotated the tires. He listened and explained the necessary maintenance. The old cabinet filter was really dirty when I saw it, and my battery always needed a jump start. He gave estimates and a report card to show the other maintenance that can be done later depending on the mileage. Talk to DJ Howard.
Bought a Toyota Rav here and they promised us a spare key and now won’t respond to us. Promised the car smelled like mildew because the cleaners didn’t do a good job. “ some of the guys are good at their jobs and some aren’t” is what we were told. I would give 0 stars if I could. They got one over on my family and know it so now they just don’t answer? Wouldn’t recommend

Did recall work & routine maintenance in record time. Waiting area is convenient to work in. There was a table so I could use my computer.Service rep Steve Nemeth is always pleasant to work with.
Although it takes me an hour to drive there, I pass two other Toyota Service car dealerships that Ive been to, in the past, because for years (and even through the pandemic) Suburban Toyota has been consistently:1. Courteous2. Honest3. Affordable4. ThoroughKudos to the management and staff. The only reason I dont give a 5 star rating is because the waiting area can be noisy. Customers sometimes talk loudly on their phones and service technicians explain problems and costs to customers aloud as they wait for their vehicles. This seems to happen at 2 of the 3 Toyota Service waiting areas Ive been in.
I used their service center for my car and I was really dissatisfied with it. Not only did they fail to fix my car, but also they charged me quite a lot for the service(!) they provided. They also gave me a hefty quote for supposedly non-functioning break parts, which I learned at another repair shop that they actually work just fine. Oh, they also said I need to buy original mats for the car, which I suppose was my biggest problem :-)
Took car in for 6mo service. Service was quick.What was disappointing was an additional service request for the tailgate not closing during cold weather. Service indicated they would need to see the problem and could not check or do anything until winter.I only have about 11 months left on the warranty, hopefully when I bring the car back in this winter service will not bring the car into the heated bays and then tell me they cant find an issue.
I asked oil change and tire rotation. Even though the description said they did tire rotation, the tire positions have not been rotated. In the past, they claimed they adjusted the tire pressure for all 4 wheels, but they adjusted the pressure for only one tire. I hope at least they changed the oil properly, while I am not confident about it. Note: I am using Suburban Toyota as it is still a little more reliable than other nearby Toyota/Lexus dealers.
DJ is an awesome gentleman that helped me get things running on my sons 4Runner. If I need more assistance, I know who to call and where to take it.
Unfriendly sales person on the phone earlier, must be true they have low inventory because I wasn’t looking for anything super specific. The car I reached out about was already sold and they still had not taken down the ads for it, which would be fine normally..She didn’t even take a second to think or seem to check if they had anything for me, just immediately said they don’t have anything in my price range..she doesn’t know how high I can go with price I told her I was flexible with pricing and mileage and she didn’t seem interested in selling any car to me..it seemed like she wanted me to talk her into selling me a car..found another car today and spent my money elsewhere!Update: In response to the HR standard apology I just received, I found a car elsewhere as I stated above and will not be calling your business to discuss anything because there is nothing to discuss! I hope that you will instead of handing out apologies put your money where your mouth is. If you actually strive to give your customers a great experience, you should read the other terrible reviews you have and hold your employees to said standards and maybe think about getting some new people or investing in training for your unfriendly, unhelpful employees.
Recently I leased a vehicle in Troy suburban Toyota showroom. The overall process was smooth and all necessary information was given to me at every step.I really liked the way they treat customers. The sales representative Monica Neville, was very helpful and informative. I recommend this dealer.

I recently bought a new car here, and I traded in an old Highlander. I wanted to trust the business folks at Suburban of Troy to give me a fair deal. Unfortunately, I learned that Suburban Toyota can’t be trusted. We got screwed. If you value integrity, you may want to think twice about doing business here.
Staff is always very cordial and helpful. They make recommendations without any pressure to get the work done. I appreciate their knowledge and helpfulness.

I scheduled a 20K regular maintenance service appointment for my 2019 Highlander using online chat. When I went to the dealership on May 22nd at 8 am for my service appointment, I am told that the appointments scheduled with online chat are not valid, they cannot see them. Of course, I refused to wait for 1,5 hours for a 10 minute oil change. Simple question; why do you have that option for customers if it is not actually working?
As of 06/26/21,I had come in for a new lease for a 2021 Corolla Hybrid, and Suburban Toyota made it happen, Im very grateful that they had the vehicle available for me and it is fantastic!Shout-out to Dennis for making it possible for me!Thank you!
Overall, very smooth and straight-forward experience trading in my 2019 Ram for a new Tacoma. They were able to appraise my truck and provide my trade in amount within minutes. Lazer Volaj was professional and efficient. Would recommend to anyone looking to get into a new Toyota!
Attention to Management PLEASE!I went to recall service for my SUV yesterday! everything was excellent and service drive manager ‘Maryann McGee’ she was nice but one guy he came for pickup the car for service -His name was ❗️MARCAS❗️I just told him please don’t mess my staring & driving seat adjustment, then he was very rude and angry with me also his attitude wasn’t professional so only for MARCOS I gave ONE STAR, and after pickup my SUV I saw, he did dis-adjustment my SEAT, inside back looking GLASS and Sterling! so management should warn him for future reference please!Thanks!
I had really bad experience working with finance person Derrick Walker, I came too close to calling off the whole deal, the only reason I didnt call it off honestly because I didnt want to waste all the hustle/effort and go somewhere else. He tried to sell me excessive interest rate at 3.49% which i told him Im not interested and will pay it cash and be done, but he kept ignoring my requests to pay cash and give me the whole run around speech and eventually went down to 2.79% which i rejected and told him again I want to pay cash. I understand that he gets cash back from the lender for sending the loan to them, but this should not come on the expense of the customer desire. He then become more irritated and impatient/rude with my questions especially when I asked about tax calculation and term of loans. Finally I agreed on 2.29% because I felt it was reasonable rate based on the homework I did, but it was really high pressure sale situation where my integrity was not respected, not to mention that i caught a mistake he did in the loan options where i told him to choose option 2 and he did option 1 but luckily i caught it before signing. Overall it added bad taste to otherwise great experience
I was very disappointed in my service appointment. I was told that standing water between my door and my vehicle was “normal.” After contacting two other Toyota dealerships I was informed that this is not normal and that it needed to be taken in for service. They truly did not seem to care about the issue that was brought to their attention.
Took my Toyota Sienna Van for an oil change on Saturday to Suburn Toyota and the service manager Damon was very helpful even though I didnt had an appointment. Also the person who gave me a ride home and picked me up after the service was very courteous and kind. Overall a very good service.The reason I gave 4 stars is they forgot to put the service reminder sticker on my windshield.
Most other car service places I’ve been to wash your car after getting serviced but the Troy Toyota dealership does not. Not a bad thing, just a little something extra that they don’t do for their customers. Also, they didn’t have wifi or any refreshments in the waiting area like other dealerships, but again, this is an extra thing. The actual negative was that when I got my car back, the glove compartment contents were spilled out on the floor. I think they needed to access the key for the wheel lock, but they didn’t bother putting anything back away. Other than those things, I was helped right away, the service rep was friendly and the mechanics did a good job with the service (at least I think so as my car is still functioning as expected). Just hitting these “bonus” things would give them a better rating.

Had issue with my car, passenger side brake issues and posted a 1 star review yesterday because I was turned away yesterday by new employee (misunderstanding) and was given an appt for Monday I was afraid to drive my beloved Camry because noise coming from my right side brake/ wheel while driving. Needless to say, got a call from Chris service manager and was told to bring my car in today. Got a loaner while they are working on my car. So very very grateful for the prompt response in rectifying this situation. My car is my job, I am a home healthcare OT. I am also a caregiver for my disabled brother, so my life literally comes to a complete stop without my car. I have taken my car here before with outstanding results and have had terrible experiences at another Toyota service dept closer to my home. I dont care how much money I have to spend to keep my car going, peace of mind is priceless and so is good service.Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The Service Department is awesome! They all claim to be consumer oriented but Jeff the Service Dept Mgr Walks the Talk! He called me to follow-up with a repair and insisted the vehicle be returned so it could be absolutely perfect! He insisted I come when convenient, no appointment needed, and bring it straight to him. The entire service team knew something was up and they all treated me with polite professionalism. They just got a lifetime customer!
Worked with Anthony Aquino to purchase a 4runner TRD Pro. They didnt have one in stock at the time - Anthony and Suburban Toyota proactively placed an order for one in mid February which arrived late April.A no BS, great all-around communication guy. Will definitely be a returning customer.

I like this Suburban Toyota of Troy dealership. I worked with sales and lease consultant Mr. Garrett Golke for my 2018 Toyota Corolla SE and got a great deal. He is very polite and welcoming gentleman. Took care of my registration and all paperwork with no hassle. Dealership manager Mr. Kelvin Toma was also very helpful. It was a second round of me dealing with him after buying a first Toyota from him back in 2017. He is a great gentleman, listens to your needs and was helpful in giving me a good deal on my current purchase. It was a very smooth, quick deal and I recommend this dealership to others.

Service technicians are poorly trained or whatever the case might be took my 2017 tundra for oil change oil level was low maintenance light didn’t get reset and my due sticker never got changed very unprofessional

Ended up going there a few days after looking up their website. Super disappointed! All I need is for someone from the service department to pop in a cd/dvd to unlock my navigation- stereo system. They want $168 for an hours worth of labor time. Im not asking anyone to work on my car. Nothing is broken. The sound system is just locked up and it needs the original navigation disc popped in and out. It would take 0(zero) amount of effort and 5 minutes of someones time. This is my second Toyota and I love my car, but I wouldnt go to this dealership for service help or to purchase a new car. Theres a great dealership on Grand River at the corner or Drake rd. in Farmington Hills. Great service center and the sales people ate really helpful and low pressure, too. Im only giving this dealership the stars they are getting, because theyre a Toyota dealer!
All in all, great experience and I will be back for my Toyota service needs.

We went here for simple oil change and the technician got our headlining dirty. They didn’t even check before releasing the car back to us. We noticed it until we got home. This kind of service is unprofessional from that tech. The next day I had to go back to get them to clean up there mess. It wouldn’t have happened if they were careful.

I got an appointment last Thursday set by the dealer to get an airbag recall performed on my car. The dealer is an hour drive from my house. I dropped the car first thing in morning. After 20 mins, I get a call (from Steve) to find out parts haven’t arrive and had to pick up the car.I had to take a day off from work and make arrangements with the wife since it is the family car. I was super disappointed and mad that I blew a vacation day, wasted my day and time.Next time, confirm parts have arrived ahead of appointment date. I don’t recommend going there and I won’t spend a penny in that dealer.

I purchased a vehicle from here on Columbus day. Less than a week after purchasing, the battery completely died and I had to purchase a new battery. I called the salesman who sold me the car and he said to send him a receipt of the battery and they would send me a check in the mail! Thank you for great customer service. This is a great car find!

So-so experience. Personally, I have a lot of experience dealing with car dealers in Metro Detroit and this was on the lower end customer service wise. Meredith made the deal with me on the phone and that went smooth. When I came to pick up Laser was kind of obnoxious, made a joke about not having a license plate and didn’t really greet my wife. When I tried to put my down payment on a credit card they said their bank wouldn’t allow them to and tried to get me to put it on a debit card. When I pushed back they were suddenly able to override the “bank rule.” Very pleased with the vehicle, but I’ll probably go somewhere else when it’s time to up.
Suburban Toyota of Troy Service has proven an honest, fair and clean facility in a friendly dealership setting. I trust their diagnostics as they know the brand they support. If this ever changes, I will certainly let you know!

The online experience was excellent ! I was able to fill out all the paperwork except for the final contract online ! No internet receptionist, they sent me straight to LENG and she got me the keys and sent me on a test drive . This dealer knows the real goal . Get people in cars they will love . As soon as I returned leng sent me over to KALVEN. Who had me sign the paperwork on a built in desk tablet .. nice . Then instead of handing me paperwork to file I received a thumb drive with all my paperwork on it . Awesome ! Clear communication, straight to the point and excellent service . 5 stars

Ive been coming to this location almost a year now for service maintenance and Im going to be honest they did a fast and a great service every time, except for the last couple of times. I had to change my tire in December of 2020 and they didnt have the tire in stock.I came for maintenance today February 2021 and to change another tire, they still dont have it in stock. Also, I dont appreciate the way they talked to me, this employees name is Marco, every time I gave him the keys and I politely tell him what happened to the vehicle, he gave me the worst attitude cause I wasnt supposed to talk to him about any issue which I totally understand but why treating customers this way. I really wasnt happy and I didnt feel welcome.Its a dissatisfaction and a disappointment. Never coming back

Suburban Toyota Service facilities are very good. Offered me a time that worked well...they follow covid precautions and made me feel safe. They suggested some unplanned ( for me) but needed maintenance but did not push too hard which I appreciated

His knowledge is unsurpassed and he truly cares about his clients. He took the time to review all of the functions of the car and made sure that I knew how to use them. He truly listened to my financial needs and did not try to sell me more than I needed. Honesty is very important in this relationship and I feel that I had his full attention and trust. When an issue came up that caused anxiety, he was quick to respond and said to call him at any time. He truly loves the personal interaction with his clients and makes you feel like you are part of his family. He has a calming demeanor and good sense of humor that is genuine. I believe that I will be using him many more times in the future and will be referring people to him whenever someone is looking for a car.

Whenever I drop my car, I receive a cordial welcome by staffs and the service is done within expected time and perfection is the best word to comment. Lounge is neat and clean. I have taken vehicle for 15,000 mile service, and also I have asked them some issues like getting some noise in the car while driving and response was bad from dealership they told we dont have technicians and asked to book another appointment. This is very negligence response. I will never buy or lease car with them again.
Ashley’s always great to get me in for service, especially my latest visit. I found out one of my brake lights was out and she got me in immediately for replacement.
