I love the product this company makes. Although I had to wait a long time for my door and gate to be created; it is beautiful. I must say that I was not very fond of the salesperson I worked with, Michael. He was great the first time he came out. Was polite, answered all my questions and took time with me. However, after the sale was made each contact, I had with him left me feeling like I was bothering him. I had a unique situation with a gate and felt like he was talking down to me. Also, the person that came to deliver and set up my door and gate was a bit frustrating. I have a light right by the door and his comment was I can take the light off the wall to install the door but can’t put it back on. What? I told him, I can’t reinstall that and we need to find a way to install without removing the light. A half hour later he had the door installed and apparently the light was not an issue. I wish he would have held this comment versus freaking me out that he would not do the install after waiting 3 months for the product. I would like to order future doors for my back and side of the house but will not work with this company again mainly due to how I felt with the sales rep and the installation.

For the 3rd year I’m getting ready to cover my door with a tarp so monsoon storms don’t ruin my wood floors. This door is the biggest, most expensive piece of JUNK I have ever purchased. The owner hides behind Customer Service. Every technician and installer has been out to service the door. And the rain keeps coming in. I’ve been told “I live in an extreme weather area (Southern Arizona) so I can’t expect my door to be water tight “. As well, once water hits the door the warranty is void. PLEASE, PLEASE don’t purchase anything from this company!!

From first call to completed install, these guys scored a 10! I am not a paid spokesman, just a very happy customer.

I took a formal approach to replacing a worn out gate and selected four vendors. I picked through examples of their work and had them develop detailed quotes. We selected First Impression and they delivered on every aspect of the job. It was on time, on budget, looks and works great. They were a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to use them again. Fully recommended.

The door that was made is very secure and installed on schedule. Their installer, Richard Kenyon (All Pro) was professional, and did a great install and cleaned up everything before leaving. He also took the time to make sure I was satisfied and went over the maintenance required to keep my door looking and working well.

The look of my door is lovely, but I was not informed by the salesman or installer that a single inside lock meant someone could still cut through the screen and open the door. That was even after I explained to salesman that I was getting the door because I wanted to go to sleep at night and know it was secure. They made it right and put in a double lock free of charge but I would have been more impressed had it all been explained and done up front.

There are limited choices for security screen doors in the Tucson area, and we are confident we selected one of the best in southern Arizona.Sales consultant (David) came to our home to do the initial estimate, was right on time, knowledgeable, very helpful, and a gentleman.Manufacturing time was about four weeks, which fit our schedule.The installation did not go as well as expected. The lower door sweep was missing. The installation technician (Alan) was sent down to Marana/Tucson area (from Phoenix) on a Sunday, to do this install. He hung the security door as best he could (minus the bottom sweep), and he accomplished it very quickly.I discovered a Kwickset lock issue, during the Smart Lock re-key operation that I performed, since the FI installers are not permitted to re-key any locks due to a previous issue. The technician (Alan) turned all this information over to FI customer service team, and told me another technician would return to complete the installation.The following Monday local Tucson FI technician (Edward K*****e) contacted me about completing the install. The lower sweep install was completed, but Edward did not have the color of lock needed for replacement and did witness the erratic lock operation. Edward returned on the next Monday, and replaced the lock. I performed the Smart Lock re-key operation, and this new lock worked flawlessly, as we expected it should.Tucson FI technician installer (Edward K*****e) was excellent in his pursuit to ensure we were happy customers. If ever we should have a warranty issue with this security door in the future, I would definitely request local Tucson FI technician Edward, as the repair technician to correct any issues.THANK YOU, local Tucson FI technician, (Edward K*****e) because YOUR professionalism made up for the forgotten door sweep, defective lock problems, and the total of 3 visits, to get it right.The price for this security door was fair and competitively priced with two other companies, but the quality, selection, and “customer service” provided by Edward, definitely made it worthwhile.Thank You.ray k

My name is Marcelo and I purchased a security screen door from First Impressions Ironworks on 12 April 2018 and wanted something to create airflow throughout the house when opening the front and rear doors. When I purchased my home the rear door did not have a security screen door. Sales representative Aaron Lopez from First Impressions Ironworks arrived at my home on 12 April 2018 for his sales pitch. I gave him my requirements stating that I wanted something similar to my front entrance security screen door so he walk over and inspected my security screen door and remarked about all rivets that held the screen to frame he mentioned that he could easily kick it in. I made a mental note of that comment. Aaron Lopez then proceeded showed me a brochure of their various security screen door designs with an emphasis that complements my front screen door. I selected the Custom Plain Bar with three Quails.First Impressions Ironworks personnel arrived on 16 May 2018 after an eight-day delay. The install went well the door had a nice look and just what I wanted. I could not do a test run and inspection due to being disabled. My wife arrived and went directly to the patio exiting through the new security screen door when she closed it there was severe clank-rattle it was very annoying and sounded cheap. I emailed First Impressions Ironworks in Gilbert to voice my concern about the excessive rattling. Their initial response appeared to be standardized response with the excuse that metal shrinks and expands with temperature. First Impressions Ironworks offered to send some foam as a DYI repair. I replied that I’m disabled and could not do their job of adding the foam.I worked at Raytheon for 37 years as a Principle Systems Engineer and I knew several Sr. Mechanical Engineers and I called one of them over to take a quick look and make a recommendation to the cause of the excessive and annoying rattle. His first observation was that the screen is 1/2 inch away from the braces where the three quails are mounted. When he pushed the screen there was additional 1/4 inch play due to the warping of the meshed screen and that made a rattled noise as well. To eliminate the rattle he recommend placing a 1” x 1/2” x 28” piece of wood and mount it behind the brace where the three quails are mounted then the meshed screen can be screwed to the wood brace this should eliminate any rattles. My friend mentioned that this is a design flaw because there’s no support to the screen when the screen door is closed the warping/flexing bounces around when the screen door is slammed shut. Another recommendation from my friend adds more screws around the perimeter of the screen for added strength and support. I sent this assessment to Tatum Percival and Aaron Lopez there was no reply. My Raytheon friend offered to resolve my problem and I accepted his offer. First Impressions Ironworks did not really try to resolve the problem with the excessive and annoying rattle. Their fix was using foam padding without truly knowing what the problem was. As I mentioned I had a real Sr. Mechanical Engineer look at my security screen door and First Impression do not offer any help when I sent this to Tatum Percival and Aaron Lopez. I paid $1397 for annoying Clanking Sound !

Top quality product. The screen door seems extremely well made .David the sales rep was great at showing us options in our pricerange. He estimated 3 to 4 weeks after he measured and we picked the colors. It took less than 2 weeks. The Tucson Team did a fantastic job on installation. They cleaned up the work area and didnt leave until everything was perfect. Highly recommend. Not cheap but you get what you pay for .

The work and quality of the security door is exceptional. Its a showstopper. We get complimented on the door all the time. We absolutely love it. My only gripe with First Impressions is that the delivery and installation date was not what was first quoted my the salesman and ended up being delivered over 3 weeks from the original projected date.They did explain they had manufacturing issues together with high demand and many pending orders. But is was my frequent phone calls to the warehouse that uncovered this information. So basically lack of communication was the major issue, but the end product was worth the inconvenience by far. I would still highly recommend them to anyone, and have.

They accommodated me with a quicker install date for a party I have planned and I am so grateful. The warranties are extensive and this company is very reputable. I dont expect to be disappointed!

From start to finish my experience with First Impressions has been very nice. Our sales person was very helpful during our initial visit to the store and spent time explaining all of the many options available for our security door and allowed us to take samples home to see how the colors worked. The measuring and estimate process at our home was also a positive experience ... the company rep showed up right on time, explained the process and told us what to expect. When it was time for installation, the installer was pleasant and professional and did a great job installing our new door and explaining its features. The door itself is very high quality and I anticipate it being a valuable addition to our home.

I purchased my door after seeing First Impressions at the Tucson Home Show. They gave my family a great price with many extras included. It took about a month for them to make it and bring it down from Phoenix. The wait was worth it. My door was custom made for my house and professionally installed. From the first day of it being up on our house; the compliments have been outstanding. Every one tells us how beautiful our door is, and many of my friends and neighbors say they would have purchased a door from First Impressions if they knew their products looked this good. Being in a hoa area, we had to try to match the color of the door and gate with our house color. That was something that caused us some delay. The installer did a great job. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!BUYER BEWARE!!This company is a nightmare to work with!! Our original install date was 2/27/18. Today is 3/20/18, and still no door. The original security door was cut off of the house. They put up the frame of the new door, and then halfway through installation, they realized multiple massive problems with the new door. They were unable to install. It had to be sent back to Gilbert and reworked. We have been without a security door for almost a month! I can not get a call back from anyone in customer care. Our order was paid in full. We paid for a product and a service that have not at all been delivered. What a shame. I am LIVID. This is not at all what I expected from a company that has been in Arizona for so long!

My experience with First Impression Security Doors has been very positive. From my initial contact in the showroom with an attentive sales rep, to the installer who did a great job, to prompt and courteous answers from the service department to questions that I had. The quality of the doors and the workmanship was excellent. The installer was neat and efficient and cleaned up after he was finished. They removed my old doors and took them away as well, at no additional charge. Their pricing was competitive as well. I would definitely use them again in the future should the need arise.

I have had the WORST experience with this company. I have sent multiple emails to customer service and have left multiple messages. No one has returned my calls about installation or the customer service I have received. What should of been a smooth process has been a complete headache. A headache that I will unfortunately continue to go through until my issues have been resolved. This is my last resort since trying to contact anyone from management is nearly impossible. ***Update***Changed my rating from one star to three. My issue has finally been resolved. Was in contact with Director Shannon who made sure doors were fixed and she also upgraded my back door for the inconvenience. Thank you Shannon my doors are beautiful!

We absolutely love our doors! The experience was first class from sale to installation. The workmanship is truly excellent. It was a pleasure working with such a top notch group of people!

At the show room we were rushed through the appointment process. Then on the day that we had an appointment at our home, the guy did not have any record of the appointment with us. Their name is First Impression. Not a very good first impression.He did finally made it the same day for the appointment. 1.5 hours later. He was very apologetic and he was really great. He helped us decide on the many options and it was a very good experience.

After a long wait for installation, Im very disappointment that this door was marketed as custom-made. It does not fit into my door frame or the design of my house, and it is instead stuck on the outside of the wall. It is also hitting a beam on the porch and causing damage due to the way it is sticking out. Additionally, the new door step is sticking out way past the ledge and not holding the weight of being stepped on. This is causing a crack on the pre-existing step already and difficulty closing the inside door. Prior to this installation, none of these issues were present. When I questioned this, customer service has not acknowledged that there could possibly be an error in measurement and insists this is how doors are now done. I have yet to see another door that sticks out like this one and wish it wasnt so different in fit from what was there prior to the damage. I wish I would have gone with a different company that would not have architecturally altered my house in this way and would provide customer service in response to issues. Update: I have not received follow up on these issues as promised in the response to this review.

We ordered two gates from First Impressions with the help of a sales person who came to our home. The gates were build to order and were installed (within 2 hours for both gates) on the day and time specified by the sales person. We are very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and materials and the appearance of the gates on the front of the house. We would recommend First Impressions to anyone looking for a quality product.

To describe our experience as anything other than wonder full would be totally wrong.From the very start at the store, the manager (now retired to SC) was just great in assisting my wife in picking out our new door and gate. I was some what set back by the cost at first but after research and looking at all the other doors and gates, this has proved to be a sound investment. The door and gate look wonder full and function well. The installers were on time, neat and clean and cleaned up afterthe install was done.They changed all of the locks to match what we had in the house so we are still keyed alike. There was a sharp edge on the striker plate for the door that was addressed on the spot.All in all a great experience.

They were knowledgeable and professional, and the price was competitive. The job was done neatly and the final result is a beautiful front door. We had a nightmare of an experience with another local company, so we were more than thrilled.

We purchased a security screen door in November. Six weeks later they delivered the frame of the door without the screen. Who delivers a screen door without the screen? Now theyre telling us it will take two weeks to get the screen. Jennifer, who works in the office is rude and has never returned my calls. Paul, the salesman, we worked with has also been no help. This company is the worst for customer service

Door looks great and works great! Very excited to have our new door. Weve had it about a month now and couldnt be happier. The initial measurement/design meeting took about two hours but Paul was patient and awesome. He was able to Photoshop different designs to a picture of our front door to give us an idea of what the final product would look like. The installer, wish I remembered his name, was flat out awesome. Took r hours, didnt rush, did a fantastic job to make sure it fit and swung perfectly. Couldnt be happier

If I could give a NEGATIVE 5 star review I would. So, we ordered the door and paid in full upfront before Thanksgiving. Our goal was to have the door installed by Christmas with holiday guests coming. The first door came damaged. It was mangeled and scuffed up ...installer told us to call the store and order a paint kit so we could repair it ourself! After a new piece was ordered for the perforated steel..it arrived AFTER CHRISTMAS...and it was the wrong color! Didn’t match the door. The resolution was for us to have it painted black to make it “2 toned”! I could have gone to Home Depot and gotten a better door....then we get a call that the paint is not available and the initial paint wasn’t the correct color we picked out at the store or from the salesperson. So, next resolution. They came back and picked up the door to take it back to Phoenix to be repainted. That was AFTER NEW YEARS...but in time for Valentine’s Day! So, if you expect a custom product you WILL GET IT....it just won’t be customized to YOUR CHOICES OR EXPECTATIONS! Way OVER priced for this product! It is NOT customized FYI. These come out of Texas from a manufacturer. Cookie cutter defects. No apologies...NOTHING! And their scheduling sucks! they don’t even give you a time frame...who sits at home all day waiting for a $3000 door to be installed and uninstalled several times. We work! And it interrupted our work schedule several times. Take my advice...you can get a better custom door in Nogales.
