To be honest, we had a complex situation with our pre-owned lot that took a long time to resolve and estimate the site work. With the costs unreasonable for developing the land we did not move forward with the project. However, we did get as far as estimates, feature selection, floor plan picked, etc.What I liked about Homes Direct is they were very responsive, accommodating, and understanding at every step even when we had to cancel. Venice took the time to drive quick action and resolve anything she could (even when we were sitting there!) Venice gets it done. I highly recommend this place and wish more businesses in Tucson would strive to achieve the level of customer service we received at Homes Direct.

So happy to find Homes Direct of AZ and Venice after visiting several other sites that left us cold and uninformed. We felt at home immediately. Venice is so well informed, no question too difficult, always ready with a workable solution. No pressure. The offices and their models are spotless. In the long run we ended up not making a move but we will head right back to Tucson when the timing is right.

We just recently moved into our new home and could not be happier. Homes Direct guided us through each step up of the process. Alexis and Venice were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. Alexis was amazing at providing us the details we needed to ensure we were comfortable with the process and our purchase. She truly cared about our needs and concerns every step along the process We could not have asked for a better home buying experience.

We called to ask what regions they ship to. After answering the question, the woman went straight into asking if we had a lender. This is a terrible high pressure sales tactic, especially on a phone call meant to get a simple answer! We didnt ask them about lending nor were we interested in hearing about their lending. They couldnt wait until we showed up to rope us into their lender, they had to get started on the phone. NO THANK YOU!I think more than one company in Tuscon took the same high pressure sales class, one that is centered on principals from the 1980s! Get in there, take every opportunity to push hard and make them submit! I find this behavior dangerous, reckless and risky to get involved with. The only time one would need to push is if they were offering a really bad service and needed to desperately convince people it was the way to go! Good services dont need defending, the facts speak for themselves.Always, always always compare loan information between lenders and read the fine print. Programs that offer balloon-style payments where payments increase exorbitantly toward the end of the loan are generally riskier (my opinion of course). Often times in response to concerns over this loan, companies will tell people they can refinance out of the loan later but why not just go with a lender that has better terms in the first place to avoid getting stuck later? There are no guarantees that refinancing will work at a later time. If someone tries to shove me into something to the point of becoming confrontational or inappropriate, I run as fast as I can in the other direction! Hope this helps!

Venise and her team have been absolutely wonderful to work with! I cant recommend them enough! They are very professional and Venise will get right to it with telling you the numbers. She also has a vast knowledge of complex processes such as buying raw land and putting a manufactured home on site. If youre in the market for a manufactured home, THIS is the place to go!

After viewing model homes at several locations I. Phoenix and Tucson my husband and I chose Homes Direct. We found that their homes were better quality and had exactly what we were looking for in a home. Venise Gomez handled everything from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable about the whole process and county codes. Mrs. Gomez and her whole crew were easy to work with and very personable. We are very satisfied customers and would and have highly recommended Homes Direct!

We came into Homes Direct of Arizona with so many questions and from the minute we walked in Alexis Helton was there to answer them. She held our hands through each step of purchasing a Cavco home. Alexis kept us informed through everything and she did it with professionalism a lot of patience and humor. I cant say enough about her outstanding customer service! She is highly knowledgeable about every home model, the buying process as well as all of the interior and Exterior choices. Her ability to help with the difficult choices and small little details and decision that have to be made is remarkable. She never missed returning call answering all of my questions even if I had already asked him three times before. Her customer service extended will beyond the buying process, for example, after being in a home over two months I needed help with some paperwork I had missed placed she got back to me right away and once again help me! I also need to mention how wonderful Manager Venise Gomez, is. She was so helpful when she met my husband and I and sat with us through the signing of the lending paperwork which meant a lot to both of us. Everyone In this office was professional courteous customer service oriented and very helpful. I have passed out business cards and their phone numbers numerous times and will continue to do so for years to come!

After searching numerous sales outlets for double wide homes in Tucson my wife and I decided to deal with Homes Direct. We found dealing with Mrs. Venice Gomez a pleasant experience to say the least. We were offered cold water and directed to numerous models at the sales area. Each model was clean and offered a price according to the options included. We finally found a lot to build on which would only accept a certain size home. Mrs. Gomez sat down with us and helped design a home which would fit on our lot. She helped us decide on optional items to make the purchase fit our personal needs. We found Mrs. Gomez to be exceptionaly knowledgeable of the local codes and all the trades who would be involved in the building of our home. Having been involved in the building trades for 35 years myself, I found Mrs. Gomez to be right on target with her suggestions and expertise.After moving into our home I became the compliance director for our homeowner association. Homes Direct brought in numerous homes into our neighborhood and it was always a pleasure dealing with Mrs. Gomez and the construction crew she uses as they were polite and knowledgeable of all the codes and worked with me to assure a good experience for me and the new homeowner.

Venise and her family are great. We had some bumps in the road due to insurance check issues but she rolled right with it and came up with alternate solutions. We LOVE our new home!! We looked at SEVERAL places around Tucson and didnt like their floor plans or the fact that they looked and felt like trailers. I would, and have, recommended others to them. Our experience here was wonderful! My husband and I and I came here expecting to be turned away because we arent ready to buy yet (because of experiences with other companies). Alexis helped us out today. We drove an hour and a half to see a model we are wanting. we werent too sure if we were gonna go with a moduler yet so we had a lot of questions, alexis answered all of our questions with out us even asking them! Wed been nosing around the various manufactured home dealerships for over 10 years - during which time wed seen many fall by the wayside during the economic crash and others appear on the scene afterwards. We had done our research both in person at the various area dealerships and by consulting articles and books like the well-regarded Grissim Guides. As a result, we were pretty knowledgable about what to expect in regards to manufacture home construction standards and features. We were informed buyers. So, when we did finally decide to take the plunge we knew exactly where we were going - Homes Direct.If you tour the Homes Direct dealership the first thing you notice is just how BEAUTIFUL the homes are. The have the nicest, most upscale manufactured homes in the entire Tucson area. Forget everything you think you know about what a manufactured home looks like. I purchased my home from Venise Gomez. The first and only place I shopped was Homes Direct. I fully intended to shop around and look for the best deal. After my initial meeting with Venise I decided that I wasnt going to look anywhere else. I liked the fact that she was honest about what I could expect during the process. The customer service before and after the sale was outstanding. She communicated with me almost daily, keeping me updated on the progress of my home, as it was being built to my specifications.I am very happy with my new custom home. There have been a couple of concerns that I called Venise about, since the purchase, as with any new home. She has been quick and efficient in resolving the minor issues. We visited Homes Direct in the process of purchasing horse property and spoke with the owner, Venise Gomez. We returned to Homes Direct after purchasing the land. Max Gomez, the owners husband showed us around. Mr. Gomez is a real estate broker and a loan officer. Mr. Gomez information was very different from Ms. Gomez. We left believing we would have to settle for much less home than we originally intended. We shopped around and discovered Ms. Gomez was wrong. Mr. Gomez either seriously misunderstood us, or there was a great deal of profit in it for Mr. Gomez. We also determined we liked the Cavco product the best. We made an appointment with Ms. Gomez and returned, intending to firm up our buying plans for when we would be ready in June, as this was March 31st. We had no intention of dealing with Mr. Gomez for financing. My mother, who is a Real Estate Agent from another state, was visiting and came with us. Ms. Gomez sat us down in the lobby while Mr. Gomez joined us. Ms. Gomez asked why we had come to see her if we were not ready to buy. Both she and Mr. Gomez were glaring at us. We were so surprised by the confrontational atmosphere, we actually tried to answer the questions. We explained that my mother was visiting and we wanted to show her the homes. We also told her how we had set things in motion and wanted to have everything ready in June. We had visited several places and educated ourselves on manufactured homes. We knew how much home we could afford and qualify for. Ms. Gomez was extremely upset and defensive that we had been shopping around. Ms. Gomez said we were wasting her time since we could not buy right then. She pointed to my mother and said she understands, referencing her being a Real Estate Agent. My mother explained she never turns down potential customers just because they arent pre-qualified yet. Ms. Gomez stood up and said WELL THIS IS MY BUILDING. None of us have ever been treated in such a way while purchasing anything.

Bought a new house and still a year later cant get anyone to do repairs

My husband and I have nothing but positive comments on our experience with both Venise and Maximo Gomez and Homes Direct or Arizona in Tucson. We would give them 10 stars if we could!We initially sought out a manufactured home dealer when we decided it would be much more cost effective than building on our property in the White Mountains of Arizona. We were not ready to purchase a home at that time, but were interested in seeing what was available to meet our needs.After viewing the model homes at Homes Direct of Arizona and finding models that would potentially work for us, we met with Venise Gomez. Ms. Gomez knew that we were not immediate buyers, but that did not matter. Ms. Gomez was totally attentive to our needs and never acted as if we were wasting her time or expertise. She was more than accommodating in providing us information and in fact, worked with us for over two years in our planning stages. Ms. Gomez was always the consummate professional in our dealings. Max Gomez was equally accommodating to our needs. Since we lived more than three hours away from the Homes Direct office, we would schedule meetings in advance to have our planning sessions. We were always made welcome by Venise Gomez and all the employees at Homes Direct of Arizona.Ms. Gomez helped us with every detail of our decision making and purchase from the planning, design changes, paperwork, financing, and all the follow through with the factory and beyond. We even completely changed our minds about the model and the manufacturer on which we ultimately decided, but that didn’t matter. Ms. Gomez was working for our benefit and making sure that we, as the customers, were totally satisfied. And WE ARE!! We love our CAVCO La Linda triple-wide home! We are enjoying our views of the White Mountains from our beautiful large windows and porches and so thankful that we were able to meet and work with Venise and Max Gomez and Homes Direct of Arizona.
