Nice clean looking place . Service slow for the amount of customers. When food was brought out waitress said she forgot the Texas toast and asked if i still wanted it after i said yes i had to ask 2 more times she brought the bill out and didnt ask if we wanted dessert i had to ask another waitress for dessert . Ordered the coconut cream pie ... it tasted like play doh.i wont go back.

Legit, just left. The food was basic. Like, VERY basic. Stopped on my way to Parkersburg and should have just went to parMar and grabbed chips. Over priced food that was cold. No thanks guys. Do better, especially for the price! I’ve been across the US and this place was really one of my least favorite. Save your money, the cook is just upset at this place.

We had a great meal! Love the fried pickles, salads, ranch dressing and chicken Parmesan. We all be back!

Great food! Ordered a steak salad to go and they separated the steak and salad so my food wouldnt get soggy and gross.It seems like a simple idea right? Well, many places dont do that so they get a gold star for that! Also the cookies! 🤤 nuff said! Only reason I didnt give em 5 was the portion of steak seemed small, but in all fairness it was real steak vs other places doing steakums. So take this review as a 4.8 out of 5

Note on door said be patient they are short staffed like most places on the road but we had excellent service and awesome food for a Reasonable price. I definitely will be back!!!

Whether on my motorcycle or car, I always stop at the Fairview Diner! Seating on the right counter seating, left for spacious dinner seating. The people are always welcoming and wonderful! And the food is simply delicious, abundant and reminds you why you want to come back!

Me and my family of 8 went here for brunch at 11 o clock. THEY said the WOULD seat us and we waited. They allowed several groups to go ahead of us. WE had a crippled man and pregnant women with a baby already barred and they were starving and they would not allow us to sit. ME and my family a furious. MY mother had a shirt on from the highschools rivals and we believe that they could be another reason they were ignoring us. WE decided to take our business else where to Moonies Cafe about 15 minutes out of the way and called ahead and they offered us a PRIVATE dinning room for our family. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO FAIRVIEW AND COMING TO MOONIES!

Ok home cooking

Love this restaurant. The waitresses are attentive and very friendly. We love their home made breakfasts so much that my husband and I have made it our go to place for Saturday morning dates. And, they serve it all day long. Very reasonable price and terrific atmosphere. Added bonus: bathrooms have always been super clean and fully stocked.

Unfriendly wait staff every time went in in the morning and long wait times for food. Actually had the waitress say we complain to much about how the steak is cooked. Wasn’t my fault the cook doesn’t know medium does not mean well done. Tried a few times for breakfast and gave up. Will never go back or ever recommend this place

Place is really going downhill. Food was cold, slimy broccoli 🥦 with nacho cheese dumped over it was nasty.

Fairview is a great family oriented restaurant with plenty of room. The food is good and the staff are pleasant and helpful. This is a good stop for refueling the vehicle and body. Watch for potholes though. The weather this winter and the oil and gas trucks have not been kind to the roads or parking lots.

Resraurant is CLEAN, good, homestyle food. Usually friendly service. Have noticed though, that they seem to cater more to oil and gas workers, not locals. So, you may have to speak up, just saying.

This is definitely my favorite place to stop along US 50. The food here is always great and prepared promptly, tastes great, and at a reasonable price. They have an ice cream bar with some of the best ice cream Ive had.

We went in and got seated right away we got our order ordered. it seems as though we sat there for quite a while till we got our food. But we got our food we were both full when we left. Our waitress did not come and refill are iced teas or even asked if we wanted a refill. But the food and the sweet tea was delicious. I want to note that the day we were there it was Sunday and it was after 12 so it was rather busy.

Food was very good. I had the breakfast. Only complaint i have was my hashbrowns were way overcooked and crunchy. Other than than delicious. My husband had half roast beef boat with mashed potatoes and said it was very very good. Atmosphere was nice and quiet on a wed evening. Oh yea and the biscuits are out of this world! They are huge light and fluffy!! Only gave 4 stars due to burnt hashbrowns im sure they would have made it right if i would have said something but i was hungry and just ate them.

Absolutely horrible! My husband ordered Chicken parmesan, the chicken was burnt chicken tenders and the meat sauce tasted rotten! My mashed potatoes had the hard, dry clumps that are common on food kept too long under warming lamps. Anything cooked in the fryer tasted like a combination of onion rings, stale batter and burnt matter. My daughters corn dog was WAY overcooked on the outside but cold as ice inside. But hey! The fountain soda was perfect! Most of the groups meal was either burnt and hard as a rock or not completely cooked. Unfortunately the staff was much like the food, either burnt out or too cold. The smiles were extremely forced and they all seemed miserable. I added the tip to my credit card bill but only wrote in a total charge. My server actually stood at the cash register, looking over my shoulder reading the bill and trying to figure her exact tip before I finished signing the receipt. Well never return here.

Well, I have ordered here 3 times twice I have had good food ..and once ..All I ask was they not put cheese on there double decker hamburger.. I opened it up to find it was burnt, dried out, and had not one condiment or lettuce and or tomato and I mean all there was was a bun and two burnt patties..and all I ask is them not to put cheese on it .. weird to say the least thats why they only get 4 stars.

If you plan to go there you better call ahead and make sure theyre open. We went there after our wedding during normal business hours (6:00pm) and they were closed to the public. Waisted trip on our special day.

I give 2 stars for service and prices.The waitresses were very tentative. I was disappointed in the biscuit and gravy, my expectations were it would be homemade... it was clearly not, just bulk mix pepper gravy with frozen bulk biscuits. The bacon was good, not a thin chinsy bacon. Price was within reason.
