Diner was spacious, clean, and well ventilated. Service was great. At 8 pm for dinner only a few people there. Ordered hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and broccoli with split pea soup. Everything was tasty, homemade. Broccoli steamed perfectly. Very generous portions. Would recommend for a good diner.
Not only was the food delicious and big platters and big burgers and lots of fries but the service was wonderful kind and loving very attentive yes go there you will treasure the experience

I decided to meet my friend here for breakfast because I never been. When we arrived we were able to sit under a big tent but the tables werent far away from eachother at all. The server was very nice and attentive. I ordered apple walnut pancakes with turkey sausage. The cost was about $15. The food came out and it looked good but didnt taste too great. The pancakes were dry and the turkey sausage was ok. While the service was good the food wasnt. I will not be back.
The staff is delightful personable courteous and attentive. The food is almost always good, every place has a snafu but if somethings wrong theyll take care of it. For sure though One cant go wrong with the diner staples breakfast and burgers my wife love the soup, all of the soups. My daughter says the new manager is =UwU=. 9 out of 10 times its a treat to come here with my family and a wonderful experience.
I never complain until now. The manager seemed overwhelmed. The waitress seemed to be rushing us out of the diner. Two tables down from the booth that we sat in there was water dripping from the ceiling. They did not have any fruit salad or any fruit period. After the waitress read back our order, she still got it wrong. There is one thing in life that is worse than being angry...being disappointed. The restaurant industry is not easy and I am no expert, but the two things that you remember are how you were treated and how much effort the staff puts into their work. I give them a zero. I would have rather gone to Dunkin Donuts today; I think that says enough. To management, please learn from my review. The only positive thing is that at least the food did not make me sick.
Havent been to a Jersey diner in 3 years. Not many in Georgia. Pancakes and sausage were great tasting. Glad we stopped for breakfast.
I like this dinner. However, I sat in a different area, at the counter. The waiter wasnt that friendly. However, he seemed friendly to the Caucasian man sitting to my left.

Staff is pretty friendly but takes no initiative to make easy accommodations for dietary restrictions, I am on the keto diet which I know can be pretty difficult to accommodate, I ordered a chicken gyro but of course didn’t eat the pita it was supposed to be accommodated with fries but I can’t eat fries I ask if they could sub for the small Greek salad that was a side for the dish under mines, which where the chicken kabobs. They told me that wasn’t possible and that I would have to pay $5 dollars more for a side salad while paying the original price of my order without fries. Manage didn’t come out to see what was wrong after requested for him, he sent another server to relay the same information that was already given. Restaurant isn’t busy and doesn’t seem to complicate to open item a salad to an order. Very distasteful for a place that has such a large variety of items on there menu. Not hospitable at all, would not recommend this to people who have dietary restriction you will leave with the highest bill it’s sad because usually people with restrictions eat less. We are in a new day an age a restaurant like this should definitely have substitutional sides. It’s a shame because the ambience is pretty nice and the staff seem very laidback and comfortable. Drinks came out fast and the food as well, service wasn’t bad but being told that there aren’t any accommodations for you isn’t very hospitable I personally will not be returning here. I get that it’s a pandemic but as a former restaurant owner, this is the best time to take time and check if your guest are enjoying there experience. Our party of 6 stopped in for a meal while waiting for our booth at the range. We were greeted and seated immediately. The seating is spaced for health and safety. The servers and other staff were friendly, attentive and quick. Everyones entrees were tasty. I had the Chicken Fajitas which were delicious and plentiful. I had to take the remainder home. Im going back. This will be my go to before or after the range.....maybe both.
Omg one of the BEST places Ive ever been to. Originally I was getting annoyed by the wait time until I got my food. I saw the reason it took so long was because everything was made fresh and super big portions. They food was worth way more than youll be paying for. And even the children plates were huge. The taste was so homemade I had to ask is there somebodys old granny back there cheffing it up lol. Seriously though, its a great place to catch a hefty cost efficient dinner!!! My children loved it!!!
This place has great prices a big menu and large portions you Definitely get a Bang for your buck i highly recommend them i eat here all the time cause my kids love it and the food is always great and so is the staff

Todays date is January 29, 2021.Ive been a guest at this diner for quite a long time say 8 years & the service has been good & welcoming but its not until they hired the short girl with the glasses that I & another guest with me has felt unwelcome, moreover, unimportant.Each time were sat, its somewhere in the back where we cant be seen unless someone actually goes way back where we are. It happened consecutively where we were sat in an unusual spot being that theres barely anyone in the restaurant. Thats the first issue.The second issue is that tonight, when we were ready to pay, the little girl that works in front nonchalantly took our receipt, did not smile nor did she result to giving us eye contact. She told us to swipe when were ready & she left the area. She did not say goodnight thank you for doing with us, she just rudely left without a trace for us to reach over the counter & grab our own receipt & left the waiters tip on the register.She is highly unprofessional & clearly treats other guests better than others, its clear because we watch to see if the interaction with other guests are the same & its completely not. We feel unappreciated when she works & it is unfair to be treated in such a way where we are sat in an area where no one can see us & its embarrassing to the establishment that she behaves in such an unprofessional manner. We are very upset as avid guests of this fine establishment. People like that should not represent places that are held in high regard. Something HAS to change & change fast.

If you Love A Great Piece of Beef, this is the spot to go enjoy a great steak or Beef Short Ribs. Also the seafood is awesome and plentiful. This is a Beef Short Ribs Dinner. All their food is reasonably priced and they have DRINKS too, Alcohol and Non-Alcohol mixed drinks. Dont wait on a date, treat yourself.

So, my husband and I went to this diner yesterday and had a horrible experience. We were seated in the last booth ALL THE WAY IN BACK IN THE CORNER. No one can see us and we couldn’t possibly be served. No one came to get our drink order. We didn’t have a waiter or waitress. Our wait time was about 30 minutes. We should’ve left but we were hungry! I finally got up and asked the lady that sat us can we have a waiter over here.The waiter comes and he takes our order and brings back our soup, salad, and drinks. The chicken noodle soup was dreadful. It was bland and the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way. The Caesar salad that we had was just lettuce on a plate with a couple of croutons. The drinks was the best thing out of everything!Then, our entrees get here. Oh, I forgot we had nachos with chicken, steak, beans, etc. the steak was tough and once again the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way. Chef microwave did a lot of work that night.For the entrees, I had bbq ribs with broccoli and french fries. My husband had turkey with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The broccoli was hard as a rock. it’s like they just put the broccoli in a bowl without cooking it. The ribs had mostly fat on them and were still a little pink in the middle. To continue, the turkey was dry and unseasoned and the mashed potatoes were a wreck.Waiting almost 30 minutes to get service, the food was quick yet distasteful! This diner will never be visited again!

Have to say i didnt expect much when we came in but service was great and the food was delicious. There was 6 in our group and we were seated quick. Server was quick to bring our drinks and some bread. We didnt have to wait long for our dinner to come to our table.WOW portions were HUGE and the food was fantastic. The lasagna was one of the best i have had second only to my grandmas. Server was quick to get us refills and to clear our table of dishes and always had a smile on her face. I wish I could remember her name but I have always been bad at them. Dont forget to try the bakery items, we took some back to our hotel and before the night was over they were gone.If you are a local and never been here you should stop by you have no idea what you are missing. And for those of you just passing by look no more for a meal believe me you will not regret it.We will be back next time we are in NJ. Already have reservations for the hotel down the street for next year.

Wow! I Never review! But felt this meal certainly deserved praise! Was feeling lazy, looking for comfort food and picked up a pot roast dinner from the the Union plaza diner. Sorry grandma, but You may be beat! The meat was so tender so flavorful, and very plentiful (could of fed 2) the gravy that was amazing’ and the price was so reasonable! great job! I’d call it the filet mignon of Pot Roast here! I may never make it myself again!

Have not been to the Union diner in a long time as it seemed that the food was not as good as it used to be. Drove by on the way home last week and they looked like they were doing a pretty brisk buisness so I decided to stop by. I wanted chicken Alfredo. I was disappointed it was not on the menu, by the way, they got new menus and they looked really nice. The prices were still affordable and guess what?? They made my chicken Alfredo anyway🤗🤗. So i took that and the munchies 2 (a fave of my son when I use to go) to go. I got home and got comfortable and took my first bite. The Alfredo was awesome. The chicken was fresh grilled and you could smell that it was. I could have eaten the chicken by itself. My son was happy, I was happy. Union Diner is back on my list of eateries to frequent.

I had left a $6.00 dollar tip in which case in hindsight 🤔 I shouldnt have. The service, food, envionce, smells, decor, and general feel of this Union Plaza Diner was only worth .06c cent. Even our fellow neighbor diners were not too happy when we asked how was your food? They said with a no nod ok. However, my friends and I noticed they had left most of their un-eattened food behind spread out their table as they left to pay the bill. They did not seem happy or satisfied. That was my sentiments exactly. Like I said the Union Plaza Diners food Sucks!

Recent visited with a group if 14 for brunch and everything was great from service to food! For such a large group we were given great service and attention, food came out hot and error free! Highly recommend a visit here if you enjoy a very large option menu and reasonable cost.

Thanks to Sue, the Silver dollar pancakes were AMAZING!!! Home fries are awesome, everything cooked perfectly! Brought me back to my fathers restaurant (he was extreme about making sure the best quality and taste was given to every customer.
