This used to be our favorite spot but everything has since changed. In the beginning the owner used to be there and things were running smoothly. She then ended up hiring others who did not really care for the job so that is a very unfortunate thing when you dont tend to your own business it goes downhill plain and simple.When you go to Killer Vegan you have to order at the counter, pay and then seat yourself. Once your food comes out you get your own utensils and water unless you order a shake which is not worth buying anymore. There is not much to say about the decor or theme because there really isnt any. A rabbit holding a carrot as a weapon? um ok :) and some of the music they play is questionable/inappropriate.The wait has always been very long even when its not busy. Our favorite items were the panini, mac n cheese and as sides the kale slaw and sprouts but these menu items have changed and arent as good as they used to be.The Sunday brunch menu is always the same, there isnt a good variety of foods like when you go to other REAL brunches that are worth paying over $20 for. The biscuits, sausage and french toast are dry, the tofu is salty and the so-called Arroz con Gandules is not Arroz con Gandules sorry. The rice is bland and undercooked. There are no fresh fruit, salads, desserts and other items you would enjoy at REAL brunches. Parents don’t get a break because the children have to pay full price and thats a bit much when they hardly eat.They are expensive, the portions are small, and they dont use gloves to prepare the food so we definitely wont be returning.
Gunslinger and Cheesy Fries are both amazing. I highly recommend this place. I have been coming here for years and it’s always a homerun. My suggestion to the owner is to try adding vegan pizza or other items to make it more attractive. Definitely two thumbs up! Thank you for staying open during the pandemic. We appreciate it.
Vegan carrot cake was my favorite. Not too sweet and moist. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries, brussel sprouts, and peach, banana and ginger smoothie. People were helpful and kind at this location.
The BLT was pretty good - get it w the chipotle Mayo. It’s much better. Also got the coffee milkshake which hit the spot. Was thick and creamy and delicious. The restaurant itself is pretty plain but I don’t know how long it’s been around. I wish their menu described more of the ingredients that go into each dish. If you want to avoid tofu or nuts it’s hard to tell based on how the menu currently appears. Good for quick vegan fast food
I was happy there was a fully vegan place in the area. I ordered a bunch of different things off the menu and everything was extremely salty. Like, so salty I couldnt finish the food. Unfortunate. To the restaurant, please taste the food youre serving. Better to leave the food undersalted than oversalted.
First and last time trying this Vegan restaurant! Cheese sauce was horrible, Mac and cheese is bland with boiled noodles with cheese sauce poured on it... They need to do better not worth the price
Very poor costumer service... Me and my fiancé went there for lunch and instead of being greeted with Hi, good after noon or how can i help you the host just kept looking at us waiting for us to say something, I was confused because I thought I didnt hear her.Fast forward to the meal she served us the plates with no fork and knives and told us to grab them at a table across the room, we didnt really have napkins on our table as well, I had to grab one behind us.Side note: she was s on her phone a lot, which is not a problem but given the lack costumer service it didnt look so professional...This is not a bad place at all, but as a costumer its very turn off when the costumer service is not welcoming.The costumers needs to feel comfortable at a place, and the servers need to know what they are doing.The food was very delicious, I have nothing to complain about that! It amazes me how they created their dishes only with vegan ingredients.This review is only a constructive criticism. No matter what happened we will be going back for more!
I just got a pizza burger with a side of kale salad via door dash. It tasted good but it was super small....like really really small. I shouldnt have to order the entire menu to feel satisfied. I am going back out for something else to eat.
Great diner type place with a variety of vegan meals. We each had the killer burger which was delicious and had a great texture. The chocolate milk shake was the highlight of the meal however! Very friendly and accommodating staff and casual atmosphere. A little on the costly side but I will certainly be returning!
I been here quite a few times but this is my first review. I like this place because it offers a variety of vegan foods that are pretty tasty. Today there was plenty of street parking which is rare on regular days. I called in my order and the food was ready when I got there. They didnt have the chickpea melt so I decided to try the sausage and pepperson ciabatta bread. It was $11 for the sandwich and a side of chips. You can also get a different side for an upcharge.When I got home I dug in. This was my first time getting the sausage and it was pretty good and pretty big as well. I would get this sandwich again in the future.
The food was… good but the restaurant felt very disorganized when it came to seating arrangements, ordering and dining in. When we entered we waited in line for a bit to then find out we have to grab menus and seat ourselves. There is no waiters, seats aren’t assigned so we had had to find a seat, sit and look at the menu and once we were ready to order we had to leave our coats on our chairs and go back in line to place our orders. All this confusion and back and forth could be avoided if there was a big menu hung up for everyone to read while in line. That way everyone can read off the menu & see they want to eat while they wait in line. Instead of waiting in line, to then be given a menu and told to find a seat, to end up just getting up again a few minutes later to place your order and stand In line behind all the other people who are confused and waiting.When we sat down both people to our right and left were complaining about their orders being wrong so I was a bit nervous about what I should expect. Our food came out in a timely manner and was pretty decent. I would definitely recommend their spicy white bean soup. Overall my 2 favorite dishes were their soup special of the day (Spicy White Bean Kale Soup) and their carrot cake dessert.Another thing I was not a big fan of is get my own metal silverware and getting up to pour my water. I Just really felt annoyed having to walk 3 tables down to pour my water & find some forks and knives while we are dining in. We had a server bring our plates and food so we just assumed they forgot the silverware and water. When we asked about it they told us we need to go up and get them from the table in the corner, It’s just confusing. Mostly sandwiches on the menu. Plan on spending about $15 per person. We came in at opening time on a snowy Monday after Easter Sunday. We were greeted at the door but made aware that they were running behind on opening. You do notice the smell of burned grease, typical of a soul kitchen. They have $2 cans of soda; yikes. Overall this place isnt the healthiest or economical but the food was tasty and the vibe was chill.

The panini was great with Brussel sprouts. Friendly service, the only drawback is the parking in insane around lunch time.
Excellent food, excellent service, very clean and spacious facility with wonderful people who own the business. Were from NYC but made a stop here on the way to PA and Im actually upset that we cant go back on the way home! Everything was flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. The chef even came out personally to check on its and make sure the food was up to our expectations. I proudly recommend this place and will be making a point to stop by. Say hi to Danielle is she is there, such a sweet young lady and shell make sure things are the way you want. Are you on your way there yet? No? Dont miss Sundays when they have the unlimited brunch buffet. I wont be missing it next time.

Super friendly staff who greeted me with a Welcome to Killet Vegan when I entered. I ordered Disco fries (please, get them! The mushroom gravy is phenomenal) and the killer vegan panini. I enjoyed the meat and avocado but there was something about the dressing in the panini that I didnt care for. Nothing wrong with it but wasnt for me. Try the disco fries. Honestly. Do it!

This place has the best vegan food around, hands down. I typically call ahead and get carry out, it takes them about 20 minutes to have my order ready which is perfect cause it’s a 20 minute drive from me. Pre-Covid times I loved to dine in here but now I typically eat at home or at work (I work at Melovino a Meadery [honey wine] near by). They make their food with care and love, you can tell by how delicious it is. They use quality ingredients and their to go containers and forks are eco-friendly which I love. Oh and their service is fantastic! The girls are always SO nice, even if it’s really busy they treat you with a genuine kindness that’s hard to come by nowadays. If you have a problem with anything just mention it and they will fix it. I highly recommend Killer Vegan! #supportyourlocalbusiness
First time trying this place today and will definitely be back. The sandwiches and fries we had were absolutely delicious. Recommend the BBQ tempeh sandwich it is outstanding, but messy :)

Went to this place because of their 4 star review, when we arrived the atmosphere made me uncomfortable. We had to sit ourselves which normally I wouldnt have an issue if the staff was nice and welcoming but that wasnt the case here. We ordered the burgers and fries amongst other things. From where we were sitting we were able to catch a view from the kitchen and noticed the lady making our burgers was not using gloves and was handling the patty with her bare hands. when the food arrived it was the worst ive ever had, the fries were soggy and the vegan cheese was tasteless. The patty didnt have any flavor and was over salted. Will not return

I enjoy the food, and try to order when I can. My issues comes with their hours and phone system. Ive called at 330 when they say they close at 4 and gotten no answer.Ive also called during normal hours and have gotten no answer. Because of this it is not my go to, since they arent dependable.

I had ordered Santa Fe Salad- Let me tell you it is very over priced for just Arugula in the salad. The description states it has black beans, corn and peppers it was just teaspoon of it.

Super cute little spot in Union Center. They had a list of their gluten free options, but even still the worker was unsure about a lot of them. Her hesitance made me rethink my choices, but I ended up being okay. Food was really good, will definitely come back next time Im in town.

Had the potential to be great but due to lackluster sides the meal was knocked down a few pegs. The Killer Sandwich was a creatively-made double mushroom burger with sauteéd onions, cheese sauce, and coconut bacon. Delish!The side of cauliflower for which theres a substantial upcharge, was inexplicably unseasoned except for an overly-generous smothering of black pepper. My cousin loved her main of meatballs but had a side of roasted brussels sprouts that suffered the same tasteless overpeppered fate of the cauli.Young lady at register was pleasant but her co-worker assembling the food seemed a bit surly.
A great casual place to eat. The food was nice. The sweet potatoes fries and the KV burger tasted good. My friend enjoyed her milkshake. It’s a great alternative for fast food. No frills here. Would definitely stop by again especially if I’m not in the mood to cook after work one day.

Was excited to try this restaurant out for the first time. I placed my order on Doordash, and they canceled it without warning, despite the app stating the food was being prepared and the Dasher had arrived to pick it up. They should not accept orders within an hour of closing if they are going to cancel them.

Being new to the vegan lifestyle and knowing what to eat can be challenging but THANK GOD I found Killer Vegan, when I called I was greeted by the store manager Zikiyyah who was soooooo helpful and patient she walked me through what would soothe my palette being new to the vegan world. Can I just say I was not disappointed AT ALL the flavor and taste amazing, to my new vegans and vet vegans this is a eatery you definitely will want to visit, why are you still reading this review GO NOW!!!!
Always love the food from Killer Vegan but made a special trip out to pick up donuts that get delivered from a bakery in Pennsylvania called Vegan Treats, Inc. Contenplated driving to Bethlehem but since they deliver once a week dont need to. These things are HUGE and soooo delicious!

The KV Patty is a work of art. The vegan cheese is well selected and delicious. Sauteed onions. Coconut bacon.... yes. COCONUT BACON. if youve been a vegetarian or vegan for a couple years, treat yourself to this.. Ridiculous props to the recipe artist.

Ive yet to have a bad dish. Those cheese fries alone are worth the trip! Dont get me started on the Killer Burger or the shakes. And the cakes always go fast! In short, if you love vegan cuisine, then this place is definitely worth the time and money!!
Excellent food in a diner-like setting. My husband, son and I all got some of this yummy comfort food. My killer vegan panini with mashed potatoes and gravy was the fav! My hubby loved his gunslinger, too. I brought home a slice of carrot cake--SO good!!!

Well, coming in, it was dark and I wasnt sure they were even open. Yet, they were. I ordered the Chick Pea Salad and kale salad. It was really really tasty. Suggested by one of the host and seeming chefs. Great suggestion Keisha! It was really dark so I could not tell how clean, but it was a nice experience. Parked around the corner in fear of having to go back around and never getting the experience. Gave a 4 Star due to the dark, the parking. Due to Keisha, I ordered, other than that, I would have left.
Some of the worst vegan food I have add. Their patties were largely flavorless. Fries were soggy. Astoundingly overpriced for the quality of the food. The person on the phone when I ordered was also very rude. Really can not recommend.

What an awesome place - there are probably 2 vegan restaurants in 30 miles from here so that sets the bar pretty low. That being said the food was excellent - we got a meatball sub and the panini, with disco fries on the side. Oh man was everything terrific. Definitely check this place out, especially for the whole food vegans out there who need a break from beans and lentils 24/7. Sometimes you just need some filling comfort food.Also got some carrot cake to go and ate it tonight - absolutely delicious and we’ll be ordering a cake for thanksgiving!Next time we’ll be heading over for the breakfast buffet every second Sunday. Can’t wait to go back!
The Killer burger was disgusting. I can tell this is just another high priced no effort food place in Union.
Was first time there. Almost walked right past it. Door was seemingly stuck, had to pull it with force to open or close. There was no menu up on the wall. People were in front of us looking at a hand held menu and then two people got up from side seats to order. It wasnt organized and the lady behind the counter, although she saw us and had a few times she couldve explained how things work, didnt say anything. Eventually it was our turn and we placed our order and you have to pay right then and there even if youre dining in. They dont bring you your food or utensils so let that go. Its not a restaurant per se, because its self servicing. That wasnt so much a problem for me. The food i had was the killer, it is double patty sandwich with coconut bacon and cheese sauce. Was plain tasting like eating mush. No distinctive flavors. Was disappointing
May 2020 2nd review Still loving the gunslinger.. And their desserts. I just want to say that the chocolate eanut butter cake was amazing.. It should be named THAT DAMN CAKE. VERY RICH and the peanut butter creme was delightful. Plant based foodie am I.----------------Great experience, great service, great food(2nd time there) Dessert has always been amazing. I ordered the pizza burger, the killer burger and the lentil soup. The soup was salty. The patties left me wondering what are these made of? I didnt see any vegetables in the patty texture. The side of chips...eh...thanks for opening a bag of Lays.My biggest issue is the decor. The colors and ambience clash. The tables are nice. The chairs need to be adjusted. The hardwood floor was slapped together. The music was a tad too loud.
Fantastic vegan burger joint. Nice laid back atmosphere with delicious all-vegan burgers, sides and revolving weekly specials.Also, the first and third Sunday of each month is unlimited brunch. This brunch special has never disappointed me and I try to go every time its available. Its exactly what youd expect from a brunch setting, but all vegan.The only drawback is theyre cash only.

Wow. This spot is probably the best vegan joint Ive been to. The service was excellent and the employees were extremely friendly. Had myself the burger and left inspired. While Im not a vegan I felt that I could eat there all the time. Unfortunately, its not so close to home. They should open another location if possible down towards Trenton or new brunsy.

THE FOOD IS SALTY AND NOT GOOD AT ALL !! Paid $20 for some food told the lady i didnt like it said she couldnt give me a refund cause nothing is “technically wrong with the food” if its not burnt or anything no refund can be issued *KEY* NO SIGN WAS UP TO STATE THIS so she called her boss and whoever the boss is said i could get things that equal up to my total the milk shake was watery and it smelled in the place they have no trash can or nothing T E R R I B L E !! I was excited for the mac and cheese and the noodles where under cook NOW I WILL SAY that coconut back was good and the lady at the counter was very nice.
Tonight was my first time at Killer Vegan and I loved my Chickpeas melt and the mash potatoes and gravy. It was wonderful. I also met four fellow vegans and we had a great time chatting and enjoying our meal as strangers together :-). Only thing that I didn’t like was it’s a cash only establishment and so I had to run to ATM across the street. Other than that, go check them out.
The quinoa Americana bowl is so good, make sure to add coconut bacon *to everything*. Since going vegan, Ive missed disco fries and killer vegan has hit the nail on the head, extremely flavorful, better than the non-vegan dish.There tends to be quite a wait for the food, be sure to order an app or milkshake to help time pass...worth the wait!!
Chick pea soup was spicy and delicious. Mac & cheese noodles were undercooked. Minimal table service.
Pretty good. Not too healthy, but then again, it’s not advertised as health food either. More like a vegan fast food spot (but pricier).
I ate at killer vegan I had the meatless sausage sandwich and fries it was great. My Sister had the meatless sausage and peppers she loved it. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was very friendly. Will revisit it again.
