Very pleased with this local business. The customer service was above and beyond. The owner hand-delivered my one room carpet to my house and put it into the garage for me. They arent even doing the install - but yet they did all this for my small sale. That action speaks volumes. If you are looking for carpet or flooring. This place has everything the Big Box stores have PLUS customer service.

Carpets and More has done several homes, most recently a rental in Vacaville. I went in for some laminate flooring and Mike listened to my application and suggested LVP, Luxury Vinyl Plank. The entire house was completed in one day. The floor was put down over a year ago and it looks great. See the photos .They also did my home 15 years ago with Wilson Art flooring and even though that manufacturer is out of business my floor still looks new.Im soon to be in escrow on another property and when it closes we will be calling Mike. We just had a new hardwood floor installed by the amazing and efficient guys at Carpets and More. Joey, Ruben, Lance, and Minh worked over 3 days to make our living room, dining room, master bedroom and walk in closet exquisite. We chose an acacia that blends fabulously with the woods of our furniture and the guys did a fast and thoughtful job to bring out the best in it for our home. Their attention to detail surprised and delighted us. Their willingness to make every element we sought to achieve reality was remarkable. We would give them 10 stars if we could. We could not be happier. Their boss, Mike, should be proud (and he is). We highly recommend them for anyone seeking a new floor. Their prices are competitive and their service outstanding! You will not regret it.

Worked with Mike at Carpets and More and had a wonderful experience. I needed my job done right away to move in and Mike made it happen when no one else could. I had gotten 3 other bids from local companies as well as Home Depot and Carpets and More was about 10% less than my lowest other bid for the same product. Mike showed up and managed my job personally and made sure I was 100% happy at the end. I wish I could give 6 stars on a scale of 1-5 but I can’t. I will tell everyone I know to go there. I thought business like this was a thing of the past but I’m pleased to say it’s not.If you call up ask for Mike and you won’t be disappointed.

I have read several other reviews regarding the poor customer service of this place. Sadly, they are all correct and mirror the experience we had. Carpets & More borders on thievery.We placed an order for tile with Mike on 4/30/17. He said to call back in about two weeks to check on the status of the order. Already kinda weird right...? Why wont you just call us when our order is in?Anyway, we paid upfront (as you must) and called back two weeks later. When we did, he said the order had been delayed, and would be in the following Thursday. Next Thursday rolls around, no one calls us, so we call in the morning. We get a casual response of, sure let me call you back in a little bit and let you know. Nobody calls back, so we call again in the afternoon, and this time were told they will need to call us back again. They dont (are you catching on to the pattern yet?) and so we call yet again before closing, only to receive no answers other than it isnt in, and check back next Thursday.This process has repeated for FIVE consecutive Thursdays. Not to mention in-person visits to the store where Mike is no-where to be found. Each time Thursday rolls around we get blown off all over again.No tile. No Mike. No answers. No money back. So much wasted time and effort.The other people who work at the store (Tim mainly) have been nice enough, but are pretty much useless at helping us because Mike is the one who is in charge of the order. Mike has dodged our calls for over a month despite numerous messages left for him.I can think of a lot of better uses for several thousand dollars than giving it to these guys and letting them hang onto it until they bother to order your tile. (Hmm... over a month later and Im actually not sure theyve even ordered ours yet.)I regret trusting this company with our hard-earned money, and advise you to go ANYWHERE else. It just isnt worth it. Carpets & more, you are such a disappoint, and honestly, a scam.

They are competitive have worked with me on scheduling and quality of material, installation and communication great. Recommended!

Owner was very nice and helped me find a floor from a sample I had from another place. explained to me the different flooring options and prices. came out and measured for my flooring. he gave me quarter round for my cabinet for free and came back out to look at a chip on my floor and set up a time to fix it. cnat say enough good things about this place.

Hi Mike! I saw that you read your reviews, so I thought I would send you a message through the review. We had ordered our rugs in November and were told they would arrive in two weeks. They did not come in during the two weeks. We did not receive any phone calls but we called your store ourselves. Then we were told that the rugs would be in December 26 to December 28. Again, they did not come in and no phone calls. We had to make the calls or go into the store. Tim keeps telling us that he leaves messages for you but you never return phone calls. We are quite frustrated and don’t know what to do. I hope you read this review and give us a call back! We purchased our flooring for the remodel of our home from Carpets & More. Mike & Tung, the owners, were awesome. They gave us so much information that we were able to make an educated decision on the type of flooring that would be best for us. We had checked with the big box stores and found that pricing was actually better at Carpets & More on comparable products, plus the service and product knowledge was incomparable on those levels.You can really tell the difference in care and pride when dealing with a locally owned business. I refer their business to all our friends and family.

I have to say Im COMPLETELY SATISFIED with my experience at Carpets & More here in Vacaville. I went in on a Friday late in the afternoon. Met the owner, Mike Alexander, who listened to my goals and concerns. I wanted a room recarpeted at a reasonable cost - Im 70 years old, and dont really need 30-year guarantee Lifetime (translated: OVERPRICED) carpeting like they tried to sell me at the H---e Dep__t and Lowes.Mike listened to what I wanted, and offered to give me a great price if I could find something he had in stock. I did (based on what he showed me). He then made me a GREAT price for new carpet, pad and installation. He personally went out to my new home and measured the room using his laser tool (Big Box store charges $49 just to measure). Top it off- he gave me a projected install day 7 days from day of purchase, but came out 3 days later to do the work!Antonio (the installer) did a masterpiece installation, neat and incredibly tidy. He made short shrift of a difficult and burdensome task, hauling a huge roll of carpet up 12 stairs on his back all by himself!My new landlord was visiting with Antonio during the install and was suitably impressed by the workmanship quality and attention to detail. After the job was done, my hardwood floors in the adjacent room were unmarred and unscratched by Antonio, who took exceptional care not to damage nearby areas while he was installing the new carpet in my bedroom.Given this is human beings working with manmade materials, I can say you could pay a lot more for new carpet or flooring at some huge store, but dont kid yourself - go with a small business that is local to your hometown. Theyll be there down the road.I read some of the other reviews here and on Yelp, all I can say is that I was treated fairly and respectfully from the beginning to the final installation, and Mike Alexander and his staff exceeded my expectations every step. Mike even came by during the install to make sure the work was going smoothly, and to help move furniture out of the bedroom as promised when I placed the order!You dont find many business owners that are like Mike. I can speak from experience. I have lived here in town since 1984. Mike and his team have my business now and in future! Thank you Mike.

Well, dont give them your money until they have your product. They pretend to be nice to you, take your $$$K and treat you like crap, make you wait over a month, hang up on you on the phone, seriously, they have a large selection of floors, good prices, but crap service with zero apology or call backs or apathy or interest in getting you the flooring you already paid for.

Best prices in the North Bay... no hidden fees or cost and I saved over 2,000 compared to Home Depot

I pretty much had the same experience as Alexandra Matile,another review post ... Purchased 620 sq. ft. of engineered wood floor, took around 10 weeks to get the product and just when I was getting ready to cancel my order because no one would ever call back to give me a status update on it, it suddenly appeared but they are not the ones that called me to let me know.. I again had to call them ?? I was initially told when I ordered it, it would be just a couple of weeks. This was a couple of years ago when Tony was still there...Today I need some carpet stretched so I thought I would call again to see if they could do it... Appointment was made for July 5th, 2:30 - 3:30 and no one showed up.. Again I called them and they said they lost the paper work and wanted to reschedule after they missed the appointment and didnt call, so again new appoint made for tomorrow... well see if they show up... well they showed up but they were late... Tung looked at the carpet that needed stretched, about 2 minutes then started walking to his truck and said that Tim would call me back shortly with a price and time.... Never did hear back from Carpets and More...Im just tired of chasing them.... Bad management.
