The reason being is that the people there want to be there & go out of their way to help you & answer all of your questions.They help me ensure that my car gets what it needs when it needs it. Even though, sometimes it can be costly like most things life, you can put a price on safety & longevity.If you invest care into your car your car will live a long life.I travel about 12 miles out of my way to go get my car service because of the way Javier & his team have treated me over the years.Even at their most busiest times Javier & his team do their very best to ensure you & your car get the attention that it needs. And if that means that you have to wait a few extra minutes or however long it needs. You can rest assure that once they are done with your car. I got tires they say I have pay for aliment if knew that I would have went to pepboys I just found out it free over there so guys please dont come here so I get to the back and they r all telling the lady who I guess is the manager I have to call me tomorrow now I have been here a hour now come guys really I see all the bad reviews on here Lord I so wish I had look at the be4 coming ! So these people dont care people r on here complaining and they say they r sorry ! U cant see nothing hey r doing on ur car because hey dont want you to see they covered up all the windows to stop u from see thats going on come at the back they r making millions and there is no investigation at all about all these complains we have been freezing here the kids r complaining it colder in here this my last time coming here trust me no heat at all, this is the heaters they have come on !!!! Honestly, the service is pretty slow. Covid or not, the wait to be attended to is usually pretty long but they always take care of me. They have quality mechanics and everyones usually very nice. I get the best prices for my maintenances. I always go back

I had a great experience here went in was greeted promptly by Charlie Allen. He made me feel welcomed. I came in with a battery problem my new Die Hard gold battery was not holding charge or recharging. So I came in it was under warranty so Charlie told me he could help me with that. He used my phone number found my battery and warranty. I told him what my issue was and he helped me out no problem. I left my car he said it was going to be a hour wait. When i came back he told me he had replace my old battery with a new one. He made my day he helped me out so much today. Thank you guys at sears for great service and attitude. I would recommend this sears to my family and friends to come here.
I recently had a 12pm appt, arrived early at 1025 so I can drop vehicle off and go to my health appt. Got into the store 2 patrons are being attended to, another 3 waiting plus me. One patron left the worker went to the back m stayed back there for 15 mins, the other patron left the worker then got on the phone to call a customer to tell them what needed to be done to their vehicle. 1030, another customer walked in and said shes there for her 1030 appt, the employee on the phone told her wait in the middle, 1040 shes now being attended to and the 4 of us are still standing in line. Its now 1057 and still standing in line. All 4 of us and the worker is still on the phone. I queried if I could leave my key and information to my vehicle and was told NO, you have to sign for the work. Well sir, if Im standing in this line for 32 mins and still havent moved, I have a doctors appt at 1130, my ride is waiting for me, what papers can I sign when youre slower than molasses since obviously you cant do 2 things at once. Obviously standing in a store all mask up, no place to sit you would expect quicker and more professional service rather than taking care of your friends. Mr Allen the most friendliest guy wasnt there that day. I left, theres plenty other places that does inspections and oil changes.
I am supposed to use this place as my cars warranty calls for it. However, after reading these reviews... im going to decline and hold my sanity. There are great mechanics out there you just have to find them. Some of the beat are in the BX & Y.O. After reading these horrid reviews and experiences.... Im definitely not going there. I’d end up being that one customer that would finally put these people in their place. Yet I don’t want to urk my soul.
I am a faithful customer to Sears Auto been coming to get my oil changed for years..Today I had the worst service..I waited 4 hours!!!!! For a basic service than the employee tried to tell me I needed a part that cost more than I planned for.. He basically tried to rip me off!!!! Smh... And I am very upset about the experience today.. It was the worst and I don’t recommend this location I will not be coming back..There is a employee by the name Charlie who is very knowledgeable and will give you great customer service..So I recommend everyone to ask for Charlie he is a great guy..

I wish I could give lower than 1 star. Went today, 11/11/19 to check why my brakes that Sears changed on 9/30/19 were squeaking. Charlie assisted me. After waiting hours (arrived at 8:52am and left after 1pm), Charlie said that the mechanic dusted and cleaned the rust from the brakes; nothing else was found to be wrong. I asked Charlie why did the rust occur since I recently had the work done. He proceeded to give me the analogy of a race car needing service after 4 laps - everything is changed. I asked again why would my car have dust & rust within a short timeframe & why wasnt this found when the initial work was performed. Charlie said that because I live in Long Island where theres hard rain . Note, i do not live in a flood zone nor does my car experience more rain than others. As I was about to ask another question, he proceeded to tell me that he cannot continue to engage with me that he have other customers waiting (there was 1 person on the line); and asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I stated yes. The manager, Alphonso, came and I proceeded to inform him of the events in front of Charlie. I stated that Charlie said he could not engage with me because he had other customers, Charlie apologized in front of Alphonso, then he said he didnt say that. Charlie stated that it was in my head. I struggle to think that I can trust Sears Auto again after their employee blatantly lied and belitted me in the store. Charlies dismisal of my concern and lack of customer service caused me to lose trust that Sears can perform an adequate and tustworthy service on my car. THANKS TO CHARLIE AT THE VALLEY STREAM CENTER, SEARS HAS LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.

Excellent place to go to repair your car. The staff and mechanics are very respectful, kind, and nice. They also give you a time on when your car will be ready, let you know what kind of deals, and warranty.
I have been to this Sears Valley Stream location a few times and every single time its been a TERRIBLE experience like getting my teeth pulled without anesthesia. I came to get a battery replaced once and it took 2.5 hrs. Today after years I had my wife go to this location to get tire sensors (TPMS) replaced. They initially said that they are really busy but it will take 2 - 2.5 hrs. She has been there for 5 hrs and after 3 hrs i started calling them every hour inquiring about it and every time Ajay said your car is next and after 5 hrs the car went into the workshop. My wife kept asking to speak to a manager and they kept lying that they are calling the manager when the manager didnt even come in today. Finally when the car went in, they identified the sensors that needed to be replaced and said they dont have it for my car!!! Seriously, after 5hrs we find out that they dont even have replacement parts! These guys are highly UNPROFESSIONAL. No wonder why Sears is going bankrupt. I will never go here again even if my life depended on it!!! And I would recommend you to do the same thing. I see that Javier is responding to google reviews. He was there today when my wife was there and kept asking for help!
I must have been the Luckist Person at the Sears that day. Though I certainly Do Understand the Lacking Manners of One of the Sears Reps there- those that sign you in, the other 2 men, one young in his 20s, the other 30s were respectful. Though I do think part of the reason was that I brought my dog with me. The other customers were very happy to meet her. I did get two tires and a Battery, plus an oil change. Total damage $500 n change. When I was in my 20s - 30s, 20 years ago, Sears was the repair shop to go to!! Now, its my last choice.
I spoke with Customer Service person named Fritz, he was very well informed, told me there was a 11/2 hr. wait, then let me know the exaust pieces could be ordered and He would call me & let me know when they came in. He called me this morning and let me know the parts would be in on Wed. and I could bring the car in early. I really hope they dont close this Sears. Ms. Falto
They stole my oil. After I got my oil change my car started to make a weird noise. When I took it another auto center they told me that the noise I was hearing was because there was no oil in my car. They asked me where did I get my oil change last? I told them the sears of valley stream. The sears of vally stream then did the same thing to mother, I told her not to go back there. If I could give a 0 star I would. Please do not purchase tires with the sears auto center. Lifetime guarantee and insurance means nothing.We purchased all 4 tires with a lifetime guarantee and insurance. However, the manager at this location refuses to replace the tires with new ones, after they have attempted to fix the tire 4 times. He insisted that they fix the tire again for the 5th time. I dont know why he keeps fixing the tire knowing it will ultimately break again and bring us back.We called the corporate number and they confirmed that they should be able to replace new tires for us but the manager at this location made his own autonomous decision on behalf of corporate promises.

Ordered some tires online. Went to pick it up after receiving a email saying order was ready. Went to the store and the associate couldnt find our order. Now we have to go another day. It was a waste off my day and money.
Took 6 hrs to get a new tire and shop was not crowded at all.
Let this be a warning to all of those who are thinking about bringing their car to be serviced here, DONT! I brung my car in on 11/24/18 to have rear rotors and break pads done as well as front axles changed. Along with the hefty price tag of this service I discovered two new issues with my car when I picked it up on 11/25/18; 1. My ABS light was on which was not on before service, my check engine light and VSC lights were the only lights on 2. My driver side panel that houses the window controls, completely out of its compartment which was not that way when I dropped it off for service. There was nothing wrong with my side panel at all; it was not loose and was properly working.I brought these issues to the manager and was met with attitude and disrespect. She did not offer any solution and did not have her mechanic take responsibility for the issues he caused. This leads me to write this review because I now have to take my vehicle else where to rectify the issues that were caused while my vehicle was in their possession. After spending over $1100 on servicing, I was called a liar along with my vehicle being improperly handled. Save yourself time, money, and the headache of having to deal with irresponsible mechanics that don’t take responsibilty when they improperly handle your vehicle. Also the blatant and outright disregard for customers from the manager (African lady) is not worth the trouble. I will not bring my vehicle back to this Sears and I do not recommend anyone to do so.
Had no work done, just an evaluation which was completed at 11:06am, time now is 11:59am, the cashier is telling me it takes roughly an hour to put on 4 tires with an impact gun on a car with 4 wheel studs and no wheel locks. No brake or suspension work done, one hour to put 4 tires back on a car with an impact gun, disc n drum brakes already on. Prior to this i came here before with a 5pm appointment, another evaluation, they started at 7pm and i left around 845, basically 9pm. 4 hours for a brake evaluation. Prices are also ridiculous, you can definitely get scammed here. Says my new 2017 sway bar links need to be replaced because whenever u replace struts u replace the sway bar links, what? I thought Id give this place a 2nd chance but yeah never again. If you willing to pay 1200 for a 750 job, this is the place for you. Seriously even pepboys is cheaper
Terrible service. Damaged my car. Sent to change tires with alignment and balancing. It started shaking at 60 after it came back, which it never did with old tires. Sent back for balancing again but problem wasnt resolved. I then took it to my local mechanic and he told me my alignment is messed up and balancing was never done. He did alignment and balancing and problem was resolved. My advice, dont go there if you want to avoid frustration !
If I could give this negative stars, I would. I had to wait 20 mins in line just to check in. While waiting in a line a woman cut me, when I spoke up the women yelled and cursed at me and none of the employees did anything but put their heads down. When I finally checked in I was told that it would be 3 hours just to get my oil changed even though I had an appointment. Since I was on my lunch hour I had to leave after wasting 20 minutes standing in line. The Employees did not apologize for the delay nor explain what was causing the delays. To add to the delays, the employees moved at a glacial pace . I will definitely never go back.
I went to them to get my alignment done. They messed up my tpms sensors and some of my other sensors. I have gone back to them twice, they make me wait there for almost 2 hours before they even take the car in the back. After that they take another 2 hours just filling up the air in my tire and telling me that the sensors light would go away after driving it a few miles, but it has not gone away. Very disappointed with this service. Gonna cost me 3-4 times the amount to get my car fixed. Additionally the alignment is not done that good either. I dont recommend it. Would have given 0 stars if I could.

Never been here and would never come here because of the employee harassing me in the parking lot . A Haitian man in a sears auto center uniform who I have seen in the parking lot on more than one occasion, has been making unwanted contact.
Went to sears auto in Brooklyn and they would not allow you to drop Off the car so I called the VALLEY STREAM location while in Brooklyn and was told the wait wouldn’t be long. I ADVISED them the time I would arrive and they said it would be ok. Reach there and they tell me it will be 4 hours. A female manager came out, not to resolve the issue but to basically say o well. Fast forward today I have an appointment for my tires to be fixed which I have a warranty on, and they tell me again that it will be a long wait, the excuse was that it’s saturday when the last issue was on a Tuesday. Seems like the day doesn’t matter, it’s the people. These tires aren’t even 6mths old yet I can not get them repaired where I PURCHASED them. I can not spend an entire day at a place where I spend MY HARD EARN money to avoid these situations at a smaller tire shop.
The ONLY reason im giving a good review is because of mushtaq (the mechanic) and chuck aka Charlie (at the counter). Everybdy else that works by counter are rude and dont really enjoy their job smh!

How can you have a full service shop and not be able to do NYS. Inspection ? After setting up an appointment, waiting in line, I was told that they dont do inspections. Did they expect to service my car and then have me go to some other shop to get it inspected ? I use to be Sears customer, spent a lot of money there, but why bother if they cant do the whole job. Highly disappointed.
This is not about sorry. That guy that curse me out should me fired on the spot. He curse me out because i refused to let sears do the wheel alignment even though i told him that i have it under warranty with Mavis tires. He was lucky i didnt allow ego to take over. But the next time i will arrest him.

Absolute worst!!! Customer service all the way from the staff to the managers. Took my car here for a alignment. Got my car back and there was red paint and scratches on the bumper. Complained to the manager African lady who proceeded to tell me that it wasnt done there because nothing in their shop is red. Everything is blue. I said ok lets go to the shop to see. When we walked in the shop. Every single piece of equipment that the car would come in contact with is red. Ok!. What are you going to do about this? She relies nothing it wasnt our fault! You have other scratches on your bumper. Ok let me get this straight. I took my car here for service before my car went in I had no issues with scratches on that area or red paint on a blue car. I get my car back and there are scratches and red paint on my car and everything in your shop is red but it wasnt your fault it was mine and you even had pictures that I took before I took my car there and you are still saying it was my fault. I was going to complain to a higher manager but I am not even going to waste anymore time on this negative energy.People PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Do not waste your time going to sears for anything. There is a reason why they are closing stores and having financial problems because customers like me keep getting jacked around. Take your money else where . Its better to spend that extra couple of dollars and not have such 3rd world country customer service.UPDATE: I was contacted by a man named Gabriel Montiel who said he works for a company called Sedgwick which handles the claims for sears auto center. I told him my issues and the damages that happened to my car. He asked me to submit photos of the damage and my vehicle registration which I complied and emailed to him over two and a half months ago. One week after I mailed it to him I didn’t get a response so I emailed just to check to see if he received it.He replied to me a week later asking for my case number which was at the top of the email. (Ok). Then another week went by no response!. I sent another email to him. Still no response. Two weeks later another email. No response!. I called a week after No response!. My last and final email was about two weeks ago and to this day no response from this claims adjuster for Sears. I can see that the unprofessionalism runs in anyone that’s associated with sears auto and sears holdings. At this point I really wish they would just refund my money since I paid for a year of service so that I don’t have to deal with this shady company and their third world approach to customer service.Sears! Please do yourselves a favor and refund people their money and just close up shop!!!Anyone who has money invested in this company better pull out now because they are on a rapid decline and with what I experience from the sales staff to the managers and now to corporate and a claims adjuster that works for them. Terrible!! first i tried to get my battery changed, ended up wasting almost 3 hrs out of my day all to find out they couldt get the battery out!these people are liars!!! got my tires changed with them, two weeks later tire icon came on. they told me that my sensors were cracked...i went to another body shop for a second opinion and i actually had nails in two of my tires!!if you want to waste time and money, go here.

No customer service whatsoever. Tried to talk with the manager Javier and he was very disrespectful and spoke to me as if i was ignorant. This is NOT how you do business. Was given an appointment the day before and the crew was still unable to complete my car in the estimated time frame. I had many people before me who had a similar experience. I usually try to have positive when it comes to reviews but this place really is terrible, i made an online reservation so i wouldnt have to wait 5 hours like i always do when i go to this place but that didnt make a difference. Still ended up spending half my day when i got there. I purchased a lifetime alignment package only to find out that it was only for 6 months when i went to another sears. No one there seems competent (and i know that sounds harsh) but it really doesnt appear that the employees know what they are doing. Everytime i go there, there is a problem, whether its the wait time, lack of service, unable to fix the issue, excuses, and sometimes, all of the above.
If stars have a negative I give that place -100000 stars, worst customer service ever had a appointment for a oil change got there 40 mins before my appointment and then waited over 30 to be seen and put my name in the system and then forgot his name but the guy had a attitude and no smile no eye contact, and then once they took my car waited over 2 hours and a half to get my car back and finally got my car back a few days later I noticed the speedometer messed up but didnt make a big deal I had fixed it myself and then a week later noticed there was a pile of oil on the ground and I didnt know that was coming from my car till I parked it someplace else and had a friend of mine borrow my car for the night to double check and then took it to my mechanic just to see whats the problem the oil pan is cracked. They cracked my pan and saying its not their fault but first tried to say that I was the one by hitting the ground or pot hole and theres not scratch or dent. I would never recommend anybody to take their car there. The worst ever Im extremely angry

Scheduling an appointment meant nothing to them. I had an appointment at 4:00 pm for oil change only and they delivered the car at 7:07 pm... staff is lousy and nobody care about the customer service at all..I didnt even bother to talk to manager since he is roaming around and staff is not even attentive at all under his nose .... never ever use this service again..

I went there with two bad tires. I wanted to buy two new ones & have them placed in the back & the old (good) ones placed in the front. These guys... smh. They throw my two *good tires & kept the really bad ones & put one new tire in the front & one new tire in the back. Not to mention they took forever to do it.Then when they drive the car to the parking spot they end up speeding with my car & scraped it a bit on the concrete when they parked it.I was just relieved to have it over with i left & (like an idiot) didnt check. Now im home & my dad is yelling at me cause they screwed up so bad.Just dont go hear. If there is another sears auto center take your chances there cause this was a waste of money & time. Right now im seeing if i can get this whole mess straightened out.
Terrible place, went in for a tire service the technician took the car out for a joy ride and badly scratch the back bumper. Confronted the services technician and the services rep lady they both denied it. Both told me it came into the shop like that, I should have filed a police report that day but was in a hurry and let it go. Will never go back and everyone thinking about taking their car there for service should reconsider before is too late.

Went there for tires and service, shopped while getting it done. Relatively harmless, only took two hours, and they called me when my car was ready.

Got 4 tires on Amazon and chose the Sears Auto Center installation option online. Installation took only 1 hour for four tires which is what they told me it would take.
No greeting you stand in line, nobody even looks at you they just pretend to be doing something .. will never go there

Worst customer service, you wont even get a hello at the door. It took 2 hours just to check my battery.
Very good and busy place
Shouldve read the other reviews and trusted them. Ordered online, got an email saying it was ready, got there to find that they didnt have what I ordered. And all of the other reviews about the lack of friendliness and customer service hold true. Waited in line without a hello for a half hour for what I was promised would be a quick pickup online.

The worst....I was told that I would be done by 2pm...at close to five still they had not finished the job...if I could give a rating of less than one star I would...stay away unless you dont have any to do that day but hang around a sears tire outlet
The customer service here is really, really BAD...I had to wait a long line and to make a return I had to wait for the manager...The manager by the way, whose name I believe is Jorge Rivas shouldnt be a manager anywhere...Instead of helping customers he may think hes on top of everyone including the customers and that type of arrogance doesnt talk very well about Sears...
