Poor quality, sections don’t fit well together and move all over, bad communication, legs for the couch came in two different colors, we had to replaced multiple delivered items because they were broke/damaged and are now they are apparently breaking in place with minimum use. It’s been a year and a half since we placed our order and we’re done calling bobs to set up times to fix or replace our items. For the price we paid we expected better quality and furniture that would last longer than a few years. I don’t know where all the decent quality furniture stores went but I’d wish they’d come back. Bottom line- stay away from BOB’s!!!!

Worst. Service. Ever. Bought a couch, they deliver it and when I go to put the feet on the holes inside are all mangled so you cannot screw on the feet. I call up and they schedule a tech to come out and look at the count for Sat and tell me someone will call me to confirm. When I get no call, I call customer service and they tell me the tech was never scheduled. So I continue to have a couch half wrapped in plastic in my front room with no feet and no way to repair it. Then they tell me I have to contact the store, which closed at 7pm, to do any returns, despite the fact I never stepped foot into this store. I will never buy a piece of furniture from this backwoods company again, and will tell everyone that will listen and people who dont want to listen to avoid Bobs at all cost.I look forward to the generic form answer that apparently Bobs has responded to all the other complaints in the thread.

The selection is good, pricing is good as well. Their good proof plan is worth the extra. Though I just purchased stuff that was “in stock” and told I could not take it home due to a maintenance problem… thus charging me $90 to have it delivered or told to drive to Plainfield to get it myself.

Im trying to save you the headache. Dont do deliveries with them. It is the only way to get your furniture on time and not damaged. The picture below is the first delivery attempt. Delivery charge is $200. The second attempt they forgot the fb so a half assembled bed was left in my bedroom. So a month later, were on our third attempt. Furniture was ordered two months ago. And now that theyre bringing the forgotten piece they pushed back the delivery I was was supposed to have today to next week without notification. This isnt a fluke. You could sit here and scroll through what is probably a hundred stories all saying the same thing. Truth is ... Its just bad business.

CHEATS WORK HERE !!!!!!!! NEVER EVER BUY from here . They highly talk about their groof plan saying it covers everything even scratch to your furniture. But when you reach out to insurance they never cover any of yoru claim. The quality of the furniture is extremly poor

We love the table BUT 5 of 6 chairs have one leg shorter than the rest Bobs told us “they need to settle” and they were not going to replace them or fix it. We even had them put it together.

I bought my recliner set from Bobs Furniture almost 6 months ago. The power recliner stopped working . I called them to request service . Then they send one technician without giving basic needs . He just told it is motor issue .Then i called back to customer service and asked dont you face such issues earlier. They say yes but they want to follow process.I told them i need immediate resolution and wasted my time for almost 4 hours with executive to find immediately but everyone is saying same thing but no resolution. I would recommend not buy anyone from this store Because product is not having good quality. Finally one is not right rating for this furniture store. I would like to give -100 rating for this store and services.

Me and my girlfriend had ordered a mattress back in the beginning of May for our brand new apartment. We had went through all of the process and on our order sheet it had expected delivery at the end of May. So track us down to now in the middle of June and we have heard nothing from them in regards to our mattress, so when I had called to talk about it we were told that it would be expected to come in at the end of July; way later than end May. So when talking to the customer service agent she had put us on hold to talk to the manager, when we had asked to get at least a courtesy credit or something to compensate for being delay without being told or having any communication of it being delay. After being on hold the first time she had said we could come in and pay for a different mattress rather than trying to resolve the issue at hand. we asked what if we were to cancel the order from there because we had felt that was absurd that they would want us to order a new mattress rather than trying to solve the issue. After asking about the cancellation she had put us on hold immediately after that word, then told us the same thing until we had said we would rather cancel the order. After that she had abruptly just hung up on the phone after saying thats fine. We are watching the statement now to ensure that we arent going to be charged after that experience we just had. NEVER GOING BACK THERE BECAUSE THEY WOULD RATHER US CANCEL AN ORDER THAN TRYING TO FIX THE ISSUE WE HAD WANTED TO BE RESOLVED.

Very knowledgeable and helpful, gave recommendations as a true buyer and not just a salesperson trying to get a sale... Very pleased with the experience and super excited to receive our delivery.

The WORST!!! Ordered a couch that came in broken. Waited 9 months for replacement which was WORSE!!! Called Bobs and couldnt get through. Went directly to store and was informed that they sent us damaged merchandise from the hurricane by mistake. Wanted our money back and they would only exchange. Had to pick out something I far from love. They even messed up that delivery. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! !! Never shopping at Bobs again! Delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday afternoon. They called and said it would be a couple hours later than scheduled. When the delivery men showed up they sat in the truck for about 10 minutes then came to my door and took pictures of my doorbell and address markings on the house and never delivered my furniture. I called and asked why they didnt deliver my furniture and didnt get a answer. They said they would return immediately. They didnt and it took hours on the phone for them to deliver my furniture 2 days later. I was told I would get my delivery fee returned, 9 days later and multiple emails and calls and I still have not been refunded.

Disgusted with this store/company. We ordered furniture a couple of months ago. We were told at the time of ordering that we were guaranteed to get our furniture on 12/24 or sooner. Now today, we find out that our furniture is again delayed until the end of January. We found out because WE called to confirm our delivery date this week. No communication from them at all! Even better, we have already received our first bill for the furniture....that we dont have. Will never shop here again.

If I could give Bob’s Furniture 0 stars I would. First my delivery date was constantly pushed back. I made my purchase on 8/4/2020, my table was delivered 4 weeks later. They attempted to deliver my dresser without a delivery date for the bed. I requested for all my items to be delivered together. They were finally delivered in October/2020. It has been about 4 months and the legs on the bed broke. I purchased goof proof insurance and all they offered me was $100 store credit.

Greeted, but one salesperson who was helping us was not friendly, you could tell it was all about the sale. Being in high end retail 15 yrs, customer service is a Must!! Rapport is everything in sales. Its what makes me happy spending more money and coming back and referring family and friends. Lost a customer. Try smile when showing and trying to help customers. Just bad vibes when even walking in.

I must say the sales team at this store was super BUT our experience with their customer service is the worst!! Take your chances when purchasing. Product value? Too early to tell, so far our bed is satisfactory. Our problem is with the delivery and customer service. First the two men seemed nice enough. We had 2 wrenches on our night stand that we used to disconnect our old bed (we gave it to a friend) The delivery guys used the wrenches which was ok by us. But then were taken. I thought it was an innocent mistake. We called customer service shortly after they left, had to leave a message. Got a return call saying they used their own tools also said our issue had been closed not willing to listen to us., Just that its closed. I no longer feel it was an innocent mistake. We were planning to buy more furniture, but do not want to deal with their customer service or delivery!

The greeter was not friendly and not welcoming. The store had great selection with far pricing. My sales lady was very helpful and friendly, we ended up buying a new kitchen table with buffet. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED as a first-time buyer from Bobs. Didnt meet the committed due dates multiple times while keep extending it. And the worst part is when the dining set finally arrived, it came with wrong chair, so it wasnt useful until the correct chair is delivered. I have never seen unorganized business like this in my life.

I’ve made 2 purchases a table set which I had no issue with and at a great price. My second purchase was a sofa which is on a long delay for shipping but was notified at the time of purchase and when trying to call to speak with associate I keep getting looped back through the automated service is the only down side. Hard to get an update on status of delivery ETA. Overall the sales team is great very friendly and prices are very affordable.

And when I did ask customer service if they had batteries for me to check something out they said we dont carry batteries to make sure if something is working really thats the last time Ill be in your store nobody to help me you just lost a great sale

Horrible experience! We only bought because the Sales person told us our couches would come in early October at the latest. Mid October we were told couches would come in early December. On top of that, delivery is booked out almost a month. I should have known, with discount in the title, we get discount service. Maybe I’ll get my furniture by 2022. Ordered a couch mid August and the delivery date just got pushed back for the 3rd time to November. I understand we are in a pandemic but do a better job at communicating how extensive and realistic these waits are going to be before you charge my card.***UPDATE: The majority of the sectional was delivered in late November. The chaise part came in with a broken frame. The AMAZING delivery man (honestly the only good thing that has happened since I swiped my card) was the one who noticed it and notified the supplier not to deliver. When I called the next day, I was told the remaining piece would be delivered by the end of December, the 28th to be exact.We called today (the 19th) to confirm the piece and was notified that it will not be available until February. No date in February, just February. That will be 7 MONTHS since Bobs wholeheartedly accepted my down-payment on my order and told me the original 1-2 month wait would be well worth it. AGAIN THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION ABOUT THIS DELAY. Interestingly, we have received quick and effective communication on starting our financing payments this month even though we have not received our sectional in its entirety.

Dont EVER purchase furniture from Bobs! I bought 2 pieces March 10, they were both on backorder until early April. I agreed to wait because I liked them. Within 10 days I get a call telling me one item now isnt available until May, but they will deliver the other by April 27. Im frustrated, but agree because I will at least get 1 piece. Hear nothing until this week when i call and they never bothered to schedule my delivery! I tell them to cancel my order and suddenly they will be able to get me both items on the 27th. Going on 2 months later my furniture is finally delivered and one piece is damaged! I call customer care and they cant replace it until JUNE! Im looking at THREE - FOUR MONTHS from purchase to finally get my order! DONT EVER SHOP HERE IT IS A DISASTER OF AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Horrible delivery service....1 star is one too much. Had an appointment from 9am to 12pm to have a boxspring delivered. They didnt show up until about 4pm and the driver told us its not their problem they came late. No one called us to tell us their running late and on top they still had the attitude. Then they didnt want to take the boxspring up the stairs and they told us to take it up. Where is the customer service from these big box stores? How are they still in business with such horrible attitude? Pathetic...will never shop at Bobs Discount.

Your in store service team is fantastic. Very friendly, helpful and welcoming. You’re delivery team however is a far cry from even the same ballpark. The driver arrive on time and checked in with my wife who was there to receive the delivery. She requested that they wear the shoe booties since our white carpets had just been shampooed 3 days prior. He did not have any with him. Because this is a very unsure time my wife also requested the delivery team wear gloves due to our current state of COVID -19 pandemic being moved back to phase 2. The delivery team also did not have any. My wife provided them with nitrile gloves to wear, in order to air on the side of caution, and your delivery team refused to wear them. Proceeding further into the move process, one of the delivery men told my pregnant wife that she had to help him move the mattress because he wanted to set up the bedding he was delivering but didn’t want to take apart the old bedding as is part of your delivery process. The 2 movers had a very poor attitude through the entire move process and continuously complained to each other about the fact they had to move the furniture upstairs to the bedroom where it would obviously be located. Fast forward, the old bed set has been taken apart. They have brought in and set up all the new furniture in the location desired. Now, as part of Bob’s program and as requested at the time of purchase, we had expected them to remove the old mattress from our home. Well, they did not. Stating, “I don’t see anything about removing the old mattress on my paperwork so it’s not my problem.” Ignoring all of the already stated issues, they also damaged my home by scuffing and gouging the walls as the brought the new furniture into our home. This was the worst experience I have ever had and will never recommend or purchase from Bob’s ever again.

The only reason I’m giving this store a 5 star is solely for the purpose of the cleanliness of the store and the greeter at the store made me feel super welcomed. I visited the Skokie location and immediately went to the bathroom as my toddler needed to go. I walked right out as the bathrooms did not look clean at all. Upon entering the Vernon hills location I was greeted by a lovely lady who offered hand sanitizer and was very welcoming. The store is very well kept and clean & I believe that is essential especially during the pandemic we’re currently in. The restrooms were spotless and the store itself just looked very maintained compared to the other location I visited earlier today! A huge kudos to the Vernon hills location on keeping their customers safe & the store clean during these tough times!

We were looking for a new living room set and were fortunate enough to have Rana assist us upon entering the store. She was friendly, professional and has great taste. My mother is an incredibly picky person and can test the patience of a saint. Rana stuck with us and was able to help us find a whole living room - Sofa, love seat, side chair, tables and lamps.When it came time to pick out curtains, we couldn’t decide between two styles and had not yet accepted delivery of our furniture. We purchased two sets and took them into Bob’s to see which matched best. Upon entering the store, Rana immediately recognized us and walked us back to the furniture. When asked for her opinion, she was comfortable and confident enough to tell us what she thought.If you are looking for quality furniture with great prices, a large selection and world class customer service, I highly recommend Bob’s Furniture. I’ve been in customer service for over 40 years and have unrealistically high expectations, Reyna and Bob’s are the cream of the crop.If you have children, both the store & fully stocked lounge are kid friendly -and will make your shopping experience a lot easier. In total, we saved over $1,500 compared to comparable sets we saw elsewhere and that’s just for the 3 seating pieces. The lamps and tables were less than half the price we saw at other stores within a few blocks of their store in Vernon Hills. If you are looking to furnish a new house or apartment and want money left to go out and celebrate, checkout Bob’s Furniture and ask for Rana - you will not regret it.

Great experience! Shopping during a pandemic is an uneasy feeling, but they really had a good handle on the seriousness of the current health crisis. They checked our temperatures at the door and sprayed our hands with sanitizer. I really liked that they required an appointment to shop too. Our sales rep Kristin was awesome. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, but also gave us some space when we wanted to browse. She checked in on us every 5 minutes to see if we had any questions and also gave us some great recommendations. A+ customer service. Would definitely recommend this store location (Libertyville, IL) to anyone looking for new furniture at a great price!

Shelly was fantastic. We were able to take our time and make a good decision. Shelly wasnt pushy and we were even able to go home and think about our decision. All the staff at Bobs was great. I had to see what this store had to offer. I mean, I see their commercials all the time and always thought, is it possible they really have good stuff. Well they do! We were looking for a couch for the basement. Something to lounge on so it had to be really comfortable. We went to Bob’s in Vernon Hills and was greeted by Elena. There was never any pressure tactics like some of the other store we went to. She checked in with us a few times and made sure she told us to get coffee and snacks. Awesome experience overall and we got our super comfy couch. Will be delivered on Thursday.

We walked into Bob’s 3 weekends ago as our first stop into looking for a living room sectional. We had no idea what we wanted or how much we wanted to spend or what things cost. We were welcomed by Chuck who asked us what we were looking for. He was able to let us browse and let us do our thing while still checking in once and again. He informed us about Bobs and what they had to offer. Very transparent. As this was our first stop, we left with chucks card and went to about 10 different furniture stores and sat on numbers couches. (Most places had a sales associate stalking your every move.)3 weeks later, we went back to Bobs and bought one of the first sets we liked. We asked for chuck and he was able to help us with all our purchasing options and went above and beyond to work with us. Not all the pieces were in stock so we are about 45 days out on delivery, but we weren’t in a rush so it’s ok!Great experience, ask for Chuck!

My husband and I went there to look at their mattresses. Excellent choices! Sales person/Elena was very nice, respected our space, we were able to look around, try things out without feeling like we were being watched, we were not interrupted while looking around We didn’t purchase that day, we went to other stores to compare products as well as pricing. We ended up going back and purchasing the mattress and the adjustable bed frame. They really do have excellent products and best pricing.

So helpful and personable.Months later when repairs needed to be performed:Having to deal with Bobs Furniture has been an absolute NIGHTMARE ever since my furniture was delivered. The couch was delivered with a broken arm and the adjustable bed frame which the salesperson swore up and down would fit my bed frame, has been breaking my bed frame. I called nearly immediately and told Customer Service the situation with both pieces a few months back and then the pandemic hit and it was postponed. When the service person finally arrived this month, he said the only thing on the work order was the couch and he couldnt touch the bed and that I would need to reach out and make yet another appointment. Now I have to allow a second stranger into my home during a global pandemic when both issues should have been resolved on the same visit!Since then I have tried calling, e-mailing, live chatting, submitting a complaint via the website, and nothing is being resolved! Additionally, the automated message informs you that youre going to experience longer than usual wait times. Get a call back service! Who has the time to be on the phone waiting to speak to someone for 80 minutes with awful hold music?! I have a job and a life outside of needing to address all the missteps made by Bobs Furniture. This has been the WORST furniture purchase experience Ive ever had. I will never purchase anything from Bobs for the rest of my life. Ive even tried calling the store where I made the purchase, but it reroutes to the generic Customer Service line. NO WONDER IT TAKES 90 MINUTES TO GET SOMEONE ON THE PHONE!!Now I am sitting on the phone and the wait time is INCREASING. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?! Brought my 2 sons (6 and 10) with me yesterday to buy furniture for our new home. Elena was excellent!! She moved quickly with me, was very helpful, and when my boys started getting bored, she had them sit in the waiting area gave them snacks and had a movie playing. As father who showed up yesterday with my two boys (alone); shopped, selected, financed and scheduled delivery for a WHOLE HOUSE of furniture in under 1.5 hours, it was the best experience to hope for under those conditions. One of the sales associates, Kristin, stopped to answer a question and then proceeded to spend thirty+ minutes helping us out. She got us an amazing deal on a sofa - so much so we were able to get a bed frame as well for barely any more money. She even stayed past closing to ensure we understood all the details of our purchase. We’re not big fans of salespeople, but the employees at Bobs are so much more than that! Kind, genuine employees. Highly recommend!!

Waste of time and money. They lied to me that I will need to assemble my China Buffet when it will arrive, so I paid an extra for home assembly. The day I received the furniture, it was already assembled from the factory.Few times they cancelled the order and didnt notify me until I called them.

Horrible Experience, I came in mid September to buy a sectional sofa. Celia was the sales attendant. me and my wife looked at a couple of sofas and we decided to go with the one that was supposed to be the fastest delivery. She told me that the delivery was supposed to come in mid October though it was an estimate she said that it would probably be before that. I feel like it was my fault because I believed her and paid upfront for the couch, the delivery and even the goof proof insurance. One month later I called in because I had not heard anything from them. Nobody bothered to call me and let me know what was going on. They told me that they hadnt even scheduled the delivery. I decided to go to the store my self to see what was going. Another sales attendant took care of me and after looking at my order she said that she didnt know what was going on because she was able to schedule the delivery of the same sofa for her clients!!! Even after that I decided to give them some time and see if I could atleast get my order by the end of October. After a few days I decided to call and Valery answered the phone and said that the estimate time of arrival was at the end of November. I got upset and asked about canceling my order, she said that it was going to take 8 business days and after I told her that I got rid of my furniture because they had said it was going to be delivered by that date, she had the nerve to laugh on the phone and say that it was my fault. Increíble that a client is being treated like this after trusting them and paying up front. Ive never felt so offended in my life and I hope future clients see this and know what type of service they offer at BOBs!! Never ever going back!!!

This was my first time in Bob’s. Kristin greeted at the door, and said I just wanted to look around. After awhile she cane to me and asked if I was looking for something specific. I told Jae I need a couple different side tables. I needed an unusual size. She knew immediately what would work for me. She knew it was there, showed it to me, and it was perfect. Very friendly, no pressure. I felt like I was shopping with a friend. If needed it almost immediately, and she got the delivery arranged within a couple days. Chech out was easy. She explained their warranty, and I was on my way. She listens, and knows the inventory. When you visit. Ask for Kristin.

The online chat was great. She was able to answer all of my questions however Bobs Furniture as a whole should be more accommodating to the consumer when removing furniture. Bobs Furniture lost more than a 700.00 sale over not being able to take a different piece of furniture from our home. We were interested in buying a loveseat recliner in turn for a mattress and springbox to be removed from our home. Basically they said no. What a shame!

Don’t shop here. It took over two months to even schedule our delivery, they didn’t hold the coffee table we bought so when couch was finally ready to be delivered the coffee table was out of stock, then when the couch finally arrived (still no coffee table), their furniture movers couldn’t get it through the door and in the house so I had to return it and start all over. A small 3 person couch under 100 inches- nothing huge by a long shot:

In store experience:My husband and I went to Bobs to check out some furniture for our new house. Dan greeted us right when we walked in and gave us ample room and space to shop and look around, unlike hovering sales people weve encountered before. Dan took the time to listen to our needs and wants. He was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. We ended up purchasing an entire bedroom set, mattress, dining set and a living room set. The entire shopping experience was phenomenal! If it weren’t for Ahmad today, my husband and I probably would have walked out of the store today without purchasing any furniture. We came into the store today to browse for a bedroom set, and Ahmad immediately greeted us with a smile, and extended his advanced customer service assistance immediately. He has such a phenomenal product knowledge, and he is very relaxed in his sales approach. We felt like we made a friend today. He is very friendly and approachable, and made us feel comfortable spending over 2,000 dollars in his store. We are new to the area, so we’ve never been to Bob’s before. He made us feel like we are apart of the Bob’s family. He has now secured our business within the company for years to come. Linda was very helpful on the phone when I was first looking into buying a desk, and she was equally helpful and professional when I came in to purchase the desk. The staff was very helpful and assured me of a good experience as a received my desk. The prices were better than competitors and their warranty appears to be one that actually makes sense to purchase, so I did. I’ve been pondering new living room furniture for a few months. Looked at several places and nothing is comfortable. It’s hard as a rock or “shiny”. I just wanted comfortable and attractive without it costing a fortune. Went to Bob’s after two other stores today. Their furniture is solid but comfortable. I had so many options I was a bit overwhelmed. My sales guy, Chuck Platts was AMAZING! I explained what I was looking for and the theme of my room and the dimensions. He lead me right to where I wanted to be. The sectional is perfect for what I want. The. I described a console table and coffee table and he took me to the exact thing I was searching for. Done! One trip and done. Furniture being delivered in THREE days! I can’t wait. Nice people. Nice store. Good value.

This was our first visit to Bob’s Discount Furniture. Our son recommended it to us. We were extremely pleased to find many great finds that were of good quality. Rayna, our sales person, was very helpful in helping us to find exactly what we were looking for. They have a large selection to choose from. The quality was not what I would normally associate with a discount store— it was quite great. The manager even came to just double check that our order was correct and that we had a good experience. There was not the typical sales pushiness that you may find in similar stores. We will definitely return for our future needs!
