I highly recommend using Closet Factory for your custom closets. I am a sneaker head with over 100 pairs of sneakers. I had to store them in large bins. Closet factory came in to take measurements and figured out the best way to customize my closet to fit ALL of my sneakers. I actually had two closets done at once and now we are about to do my wifes huge walk-in closet. Price is very affordable. Ask for Sheila if you decide to check them out. Shes the best. She makes sure she listen to your needs/wants and then goes to work building your custom closet. If theres something you dont like, she goes back in and rebuilds another design without hesitation. The sweet person that you could ever work with. If she says that she will call you or email you, she does exactly that. A woman of her word. Again, I high recommend Closet Factory and dont forget to ask for Sheila.

Jodi did several closets and a pantry for us. We needed to maximize all storage since we had downsized substantially. I can not believe how much space she was able to negotiate in the closet and pantry. With 10 foot ceilings some designers ignore the top foot or two... Jodi used every inch! I love my closets! She went ahead with our request for less depth cabinets, even though that is not the norm and they worked really well in the small space that we had. The Closet Factory designer, Susan Davis Bengel, was doing a home office and some closet work in the condominium in May 2019 where my condo is located in the Outer Banks of NC. I had the chance to meet the Closet Factory installers while they were doing prep work in our garage. I contacted Susan and made an appointment to discuss some improvements I wanted to make in my condo.I had Closet Factory makeover two bedroom closets, a linen closet and installed a pantry in my laundry room next to my kitchen. Our closets were small and limited. Susan is a great listener and was a pleasure to work with. She really spent time getting the best design to utilize all of the space. We worked with Sheila and team to design and install three bookshelves. The design process was collaborative -- she really listened! -- and we ended up with something that better fit the space than our original thoughts. Install took two days and the team did great work, worked neat, arrived on time, and communicated clearly when they needed day-of decisions. We only have some of the books shelved so far, but everything is working really well. We are able to adjust the shelves, as needed, and theyre holding the amount of weight we expected. Great value -- we dont think we could have put in as many shelves worth of non-custom, pre-made shelves for this same price. Were so happy were working with the team to install two wall units for storage in a hallway.

We absolutely LOVE our closet. Kim was great to work with, most importantly she listened to our needs and delivered. The design was exactly what we were looking for. She went above and beyond making the most of the space we had to work with! She suggested the window seat which added 3 extra drawers of storage and its a great place to sit and put your shoes on :) The quality of everything is great all around. I have had Closet Factory complete two closets and a panty. The designer, Susan Davis Bengel, was amazing to work with and really spent time getting the best design to utilize all of the space. The work was completed on time. The installers were very professional. I couldn’t be more pleased with how they turned out.

One of the reasons I chose to purchase the home I currently live in, was the distinctive office furniture that was in the basement. Being a Procurement professional, I could immediately tell that the quality of furniture was second to none. Fast forward 6 months and a basement flood ruined the previously custom built desk. I was distraught because I hadnt purchased the furniture and had no idea where it came from. Searching through the drawers, I found a receipt with the name Closet Factory on it. The receipt had all of the original information, including the make of furniture and the rep responsible for it. I immediately called the number and was transferred to the DC office of Closet Factory. They were able to put me in contact with Susan Bengal, who would end up being my rep for the case. A few days later Susan came to my home with an assessment of the previous furniture I had and quickly let me know it was now antiquated and they wouldnt be able to replicate something built 20 years ago. After several discussions, Susan and i came up with the replacement build for the new office, which was obviously way more expensive than the original. In fact, my insurance refused to pay the difference. In what was a very frustrating couple of weeks, I went back and forth with my insurance company over the replacement costs. So finally I asked Susan to give them a call. After a few conversations with my insurance company, Susan was able to convince them to finally take care of the replacement costs. I am so happy with my closet! The closet Mike designed is exactly what we needed and is also so beautiful. If feels like a boutique. There were a couple issues at the beginning with the ordered pieces werent exactly what the plan was. But, everyone worked together with no hesitation to get everything right. While it delayed the project a little bit, they were focused on the fact that it needed to be right. We appreciated that so much. I even received a call from the owner on Thanksgiving in preparation for the installers coming the following day to clear up some questions. The installers were professional, polite, and just nice people. Overall it was a great experience and high quality product.

I contacted the Closet Factory to do an estimate for our master bedroom closet. Sheila Newsom, design consultant, came to our house and measured the area and also noted the types of clothes / shoes / luggage etc that we had in our current closet space. Sheila sat down with us and discussed design options and pricing, as well as some of her ideas she thought could work for us. We got to look at samples of the types of wood and hardware, and she answered all of our questions and really took the time to listen to what we wanted for the budget we had in mind. Sheilas final design was perfect for our closet space! She utilized all of the available square footage while expertly incorporating everything we wanted within our budget. This is my 3rd closet that Ive had the pleasure of working with Closet Factory and my 2nd experience with closet extraordinaire closet designer Mike Centrella! The space was measured and designed accurately, a team came out to confirm the measurements, and then there was the installation which turned out exceptionally well. I originally was going to order a small removable countertop made out of Formica, but the Production Manager (prior to creating my order) contacted me and explained the risks in how I was going to use the countertop. In the end, I canceled the order and appreciate the due diligence that was provided to ensure I would be happy with the end product.

After the 2018 rainmageddon in the DMV that flooded our basement, we decided to turn lemons into lemonade and finally create the basement we desired. Closet Factory was our first choice, and Sheila, our designer. She made me feel at ease as we discussed ideas, needs (and my wants :). She is highly-knowledgeable about look/feel/style, which I found welcoming, as was her visit to our home to discuss and measure the space, our visit to the CF showroom (a must-see) and use of state-of-the-art design software (my husband wanted to be sure that this was added) that helped us visualize our ideal basement structure. Ive also recommended Sheila (and CF) to several of our friends.
