I bought and tried their “bucket” oatmeal cookies and truly enjoyed it. I took them home and my grandsons voted a resounding YES to the taste! Keep up the good work of providing tasty selections for us, GIANT!

I frequently shop at Giant Vienna and it is a great place to go shopping, prices are a bit high. Today I purchased two items, and handed the cashier(Kim) a $50.00 bill. The total came out to around $14-something(I dont have the exact number because I was not provided the receipt). I was waiting for her to calculate my total and hand me my change, when she instead claimed that I only gave her a $20.00 bill. She continued to claim that I gave her a $20, not a $50, and I assume her further misunderstanding was because she may have carelessly placed the bill into the tray and not recalled what bill amount was being handed to her. Finally, she decided to correct the change after I insisted that I indeed gave her a $50. She ended up returning $34.78 in the corrected amount(which I hope is correct because I was in a rush and didnt do the calculation). She also did not give me the receipt and said that she would keep it for her manager to see, so now I have no way of keeping account of the actual transaction. I rarely write reviews and have never written a review on any grocery store. Im letting this incident go because its an insignificant amount of money to me, but I hope that the next time I return to Giant Vienna that your cashiers are properly trained and can remain attentive and accountable so that mistakes like this dont occur again.

Theyre a good grocery store. The remodel they did a few years ago makes them look a lot fancier than they used to be. I wish instead of making a large wine isle they had decided to stock more of something else. Theyre my go to when I need something quick and easy.

I go here to shop all the time. They have great prices and very friendly staff.

We got everything we needed with curbside pickup. Everything went very smoothly, and whoever put together our items did a great job picking things out. Everything was in great condition and we didn’t need any substitutions for listed items. Even the rotisserie they picked out was great—big, fat, juicy bird cooked just right! Customer service as well as the person who brought out the bags were super courteous. Online questions were professionally handled. Got all the help we needed. A big thank you to all the people at Giant! Very well done! We highly recommend this Giant .

I have shopped at this Giant Food for years and never had any problem with the customer service or their products. This review is directly written for terrible customer service from one particular employee. This guy has Richard Tay on his name tag. I entered the store today around 9 pm wanted to get some groceries and also a birthday balloon for my daughter. I asked Richard for help to fill up the air for a helium balloon that I want to get. He said he will call someone that works at the flower shop to help. It was all fine up until this point. After 10 minutes of waiting with no help in sight, I asked Richard for help again since he was the only employee standing at the self-checkout not doing anything. He then told me the person is busy unloading in the back and could take some time. I told him I will be getting the groceries while waiting for the guy. 40 minutes later after I got everything else I needed I came back to Richard and he told me the guy is still busy and I may have to wait ONE HOUR. I politely asked more than twice maybe he can fill up the balloon instead. He refused to do it or asked for help while chatting to another guy about getting a drink sometime after work. I ended up asking another lady (Kim) working the night to help me with it. Kim was exceptionally helpful and goes above and beyond to get the job done. She had to help me while working the only register open for service while Richard just stands there and watch. Side story, I also asked Richard where are the brown rice and meatballs and he pointed me to the wrong aisles for both items. For the record, Richard, brown rice is at aisle 12 not 13. Meatball is at the frozen food section, not the meat department. I have seen this guy Richard working there for years, and he may need more training if he still doesnt know where the items are.

Nice and tidy. Very large selection of almost everything including food without lactose, gluten etc. Fresh meat, fish, lobsters etc.A little pricey though, but quality costs.

Excellent, variety, and service oriented!!! The store is well organized easy to navigate through the store. Fresh fruits and vegetables; meat and seafood. I shop on a daily basis and find Giant to be the perfect source for everything I need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Will continue to be a loyal customer!!!!!

Organized, well-stocked, and clean with friendly employees. This Giant store may be the biggest supermarket in Vienna and it is a positive presence in the community.

The selection for gluten-free products is amazing. The stores attempt at telling shoppers which way they can go in an isle is almost humorous.

Store has gotten much better lately. More check out clerks, better produce, and better prices. Everyone wearing masks, most were distancing too.

Its a safe ace to shop in the pandemic. Decent prices. Good customer service.

I was informed by the customer service representative on 12/10/2020 they to NOT sell metro transit cards nor do they recharge current cards. Bummer.

WORST GROCERY STORE EVER.Why, in such a glorious, beautiful, and quality town like Vienna, are we stuck with this as our main grocery store? It’s small, has only the basics, the produce selection and quality is abysmal and the smallest I’ve ever seen, (I literally only trust the apples and organic carrots)the baked goods are all bad, the fish is poor quality. There are ALWAYS long lines, and the employees look miserable. In a time where grocery options are skyrocketing... how is this place still in business!? Leave, and let a quality grocery store move in please.There are no other options. So yes. I shop here. But I do not want to!!! When wegmans opens near my office in Tyson’s I’ll never set foot here again.

One of a large chain of supermarkets in the Washington metro area. Respectable selection of general food items, including decent meat and produce. Recently expanded its natural foods section to include gluten free and other diets. Deli offers Boars Head meats and a very limited selection of cheeses. Ample parking in a shopping center lot, though can be crowded on major shopping days.

Very subpar - their selection is extremely limited (for example, today they only had one item from Amys, a super popular frozen food brand that usually has its own section at other grocery stores Ive been to) and almost everything is overpriced. The only thing they have good variety on and new items is in the alcohol; you can find some deals here, but it still tends to be much more expensive than other stores, grocery or otherwise, in the area. On the occasion I went before, they were out of store cards so you couldnt even apply and it seemed like theyd been out for a while based on the conversation. How can you be out of those and the applications? Bizarre. The only reason it gets two stars is because the store is generally clean and the people working seem pleasant enough.

Dropped in for just a few essentials when in the area. The berries I found were excellent (actually fresh strawberries, harder and harder to find these days, and delicious blueberries) in a clean, nicely lit store. Expansion of the produce department would provide shoppers more choices.

I always find what I need, love the seafood service, wine selection and it has my favorite specialty ice cream. Decent fresh herbs and the people are helpful. If you want more organic go across the street to Fresh Fields.

This is my go to grocery store. Produce is fresh and there are many options. Shopping for produce seasonally will offer the best tasting produce. Sales are great to catch and stock up on must haves like chicken, steaks, paper towels, etc. Wine selection is good as well, and sales on wines are hard to beat. Sometimes they have wine tastings which help to select new wines and expand pallette. Beer selection is decent as well.

Im a white woman. The cashier told me the lane was closed then a black man asked right after I walked away & she said she was open. I thought discrimination was over, its 2020 !

Great place to shop, clean and well organized. Vegetables and fruits are well stocked and fresh. Bakery is a little lacking for pastries and cakes, but Safeway is just down the road with a larger selection. Overall, a consistent place I return to.

A nightmare, as always! Shelves are empty and the ones that are stocked have the wrong prices. Things on sale are shown as full priced and items not on special have sales stickers below them. Its what I imagine a food pantry would be like except way more expensive. How can they be out of zucchini??? U cant walk by a neighbors garden without tripping over it! Also plain bagels. Really?? And about half the sale items. Its not worth the trip. Gave it one star because no stars wasnt an option.

Its a supermarket. Not the fanciest in the world, but fresh produce and good selection of everything. Nice organic section but not huge. All in all a good supermarket and easily an obvious default option.

Never had a problem asking some one for help. Every one seems to be very friendly and more then willing to help me find something. It like going over to a party and having the host show you everyone and everything to have a good time.

This is one of my go to stores for most of my groceries. Always have what I go for.

Clean inside, but they dont have hand sanitizer at the door and dont clean the cart handles between customers.

Good reasonable priced supermarket in the heart of vienna. When you cant afford the organic or more expensive fare from whole foods or the fresh market, go here and round out your shopping trip. The employees are nice and they keep the isles fairly clear to allow traffice to move around the store.

Compared to other Giant stores, this one is great. It is clean and well stocked. Unfortunately Giant in general is not that great of a grocery store. For my southeast folks, Giant = Winn-Dixie.

Employees not so nice, but Co. Follows good safety on food. You can be assured they are safe.

I cant count how many times Ive waited in a long line to check out because there are only a few lines open, while numerous employees stand at the kiosk chatting. And if you do self-checkout, maybe 1 in 4 times youll get assistance bagging. And dont even think about buying alcohol in the self-checkout, because it will take forever for someone to help you out.That being said, when someone actually does help, theyre generally very friendly and helpful. This is especially true of the folks in the meat and seafood departments.

Very, very, very poor service! Trying to get some frozen treats being held for me in the store freezer unit took at least 20 minutes and several store managers, including the lead manager. This, occurring on a Saturday before July 4 should not have happened! Service and staff should have been better prepared. Only Customer Service apologized. No one else had anything to say including the managers. I rarely go to Giant stores and now I see why. Extremely disappointed beyond words! Not a way to run a business!!

I shop regularly at this Giant. My only complaint is that they seemingly enjoy moving products around. It can be frustrating trying to find things because of that.

Im so frustrated with this store! It has really gone downhill in the last year or two. The produce department is really awful. Much of the produce is almost rotten yet they still put it out. The floors are dirty. And oh my gosh please please stop putting pop-up cardboard displays in every single aisle. Makes it very difficult to maneuver and just looks so cluttered. The manager needs to walk around the store and take a close look! I have started going to Harris Teeter and the difference is amazing.
