Great service, and product. They had my prescriptions, so I was able to order my glasses via telephone with Sandy. She asked the right questions which prompted me to try bifocals. When I arrived for my appointmt they measured for my lenses and cut them right then and there. I did not expect the bifocals to work so well. I appreciate their competence, care and service! Glasses selection isnt as large as others but theyre willing to order anything and work with other venders.

Big fan of Dr. Seim and the team at AAPECS Atlantic EyeCare. I have a large optic nerve (runs in my family) and before moving here I’d had several great eye doctors who said the size of my ON was nothing to worry about because it’s hereditary. After I moved here EVERY eye doctor I saw said I needed to come in every 3-6 months to get an expensive (and time consuming) test to “monitor” my optic nerve. Not only would my insurance not cover that many tests a year, I’d been living with a large optic nerve my whole life and knew I didn’t need a bunch of tests. When I found Dr. Seim, I knew he was the doctor for me because he told me there was no reason for me to come in for tests more than once a year (unless something drastic changed with my vision) because my optic nerve was hereditary. I was, like, FINALLY and honest doctor! I’ve been going to this doctor ever since and have never had any problems.

I called to schedule appointments for me and 2 children. The rep immediately stated they do 2 and 1 in case of cancellations. Why on earth would I schedule separate days for us to be seen by the same office?Keep in mind she didn’t check the calendar so it’s not that 3 appointments were not available. She just simply refused to allow me to schedule myself and my children to be seen on the same day.I really like this doctor but I’m not taking off twice.

I was a new patient with this place. The lady that took me back had a bad attitude from the start. So much that I had to request that she doesn’t help me again. She was annoyed and huffy every time I answered a question and was just plain rude. And she seemed as if she didn’t want to be there.

I have been a patient of this doctor for at least five years and possibly longer. They did not make me aware of their COVID 19 policy until I was halfway through my yearly checkup to get my eyes examined for new contacts. I answered their incoming survey truthfully, that I had the virus but was several days past the CDC recommended quarantine period. I made it through the initial part of the exam, speaking freely about my COVID 19 experience. At no time did any staff member mention that their office policy is 30 days past quarantine before you can be seen by the doctor. I can imagine if you are angry with your staff members for not following their own policy but Dr. Seim very rudely informed me that I must leave for “obvious reasons” and would not speak to me any further. I have never been treated so horribly by a member of the medical field. I have learned that since the situation that happened with me they have revamped how they ask patients about COVID and pre-screening to prevent something like this happening with someone else. Had they asked I would have told them prior to my appointment and would have rescheduled and had no issue. Because of the way the doctor treated me I will never go back and will tell anyone I know to avoid this place at all costs.I would also like to say that staff members there are wonderful and I am sad to not see them anymore.Update to Respond to the businesss response: Of course I dont want anyone to get Covid-19, but the truth of the matter is that I was honest with your intake person. They let me in. I spoke freely about having just had Covid, no one said a thing until the doctor made me feel dirty. I would never knowingly put anyone into harms way and I was above and beyond out of the CDC recommended quarantine period.

Ive been coming here for many years. I am always pleased with the service I receive. The exams are thorough and staff are friendly and helpful. They provide complete service, from eye exams, contacts, glasses, products, and repairs. Most recently I had an eye condition develop and I called their emergency line and the dr answered straight away and took the time to listen and explain what I was experiencing. He also followed up with me the next day. I appreciate all they do and highly recommend.

I do not recommend this place! My boy and I had a terrible experience with their staff few years ago. I am wrting this cause I just got email from them about new opening and they changed their name but found out same place We ended up change to beach eyecare. So happy with them.

Overall, I was not happy with the customer service I received in my brief visit. My current eye doctor is no longer a convenient location for me, so I came in with a frame adjustment question to see what it was like. One staff member seemed very friendly, but another jumped in who said shed only help if I was a customer. I tried explaining that I understood the risk of making an adjustment by somewhere other than the location I purchased my frames from, but I was still hoping they could help me. Her demeanor and responses came across as Technically I can help you, but I wont. Repeating myself and pushing the issue would have made things more uncomfortable, so I thanked them and left.

Lynn and Evelynn are amazing. They are very patient and very friendly. I wasn’t suppose to have my appointment today but they were able to get me in and that got me all the infomation I needed. Only place Ive ever been to where they monitor all aspects of your vision, every time. Great about getting their patients back in a timely order( no less than 5 minuets after appointment time.) Theres no pressure about buying your frames or lenses with them like other offices, and if you have frames and only want lenses theyll work with you and try to find the most suitable lenses. I cant rave enough about them. Great environment, great staff. Will never visit a mall or any other mediocre Optometrist again.

My insurance changed on 1/1/19. I had an appointment for 9/24/19 so in April or May I stopped by their office and updated my new insurance card. I was told that they accepted my insurance. The day before I got a voicemail reminding me of my appointment. Well, I arrived there and was told they dont accept my insurance. They had a copy of my insurance card for 5 months and waited to tell me when I got there. That was totally wrong to treat me that way. Did not offer to give a discount or a free eye exam even though this was their mistake. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I cant help but respond to the negative reviews I read. An intelligent person understands everyones situation is different. My husband and I have been treated with utmost respect . My husband has had his glasses adjusted many times and its no problem. My appointments are lengthy, for I have glaucoma and there is a battery of tests. They cant help that. I want to add my glaucoma is under perfect control which is great for this is a progressive disease.

I had an eye emergency over the weekend and called the emergency number expecting to get an answering service. Dr. Seim actually took the call and agreed to see me on a Sunday morning! Customer service like that is rare these days. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Seim and his team!

A very shady and unethical place. Expect to be overcharged and taken advantage of. You would be better off going to any other optometrist in Hampton Roads, or you can come here if you want to be scammed.

Last year I went there. The first visit, they got my RX wrong. I went again, and it was still wrong. Im extremely picky about my vision, if it isnt perfect or near perfect, I want it to be right. While at the 2nd visit, I asked about regular plastic (CR-39 lenses).I have a disability (autism) that requires me to have either CR-39 lenses or Trivex lenses due to their vastly superior properties which allow me to see without too much chromatic aberration. Because I was 17, I was denied CR-39 and they didnt recommend Trivex to me (I didnt know of trivex at the time)I require either CR-39 or Trivex because polycarbonate lenses give me headaches.Even after my 2nd visit, as I mentioned earlier, the RX was too weak. I wrote a bad review of them(mostly regarding customer service), but took it off deciding I would give them another chance.So I go a 3rd time, Im in the the exam room, and Dr. Seim comes in. He tells me, in a very rude voice we dont appreciate derogatory remarks about our business and we dont appreciate it! And he talks to me in this voice like Im some idiot And you posted it in your name!He then told me they wont be having me as a customer anymore. Gave me a last eye exam, and gave me my records.Atlantic Eyecare, when a customer writes a review regarding poor customer service, takes it down after a few days, and comes back, how does it make sense to treat that customer like theyre trash when they decide to give you another chance? Its funny cause I was ready to order trivex lenses from yall, something that would cost an extra $80!!Do not go to Atlantic Eye care. They are unwilling to work with customers with disabilities and refuse to right the wrongs they do. Instead, if you critisize them, they simply refuse service to you. Never in my life have I been treated so badly as a customer. I dont feel the least bit bad about writing that review. I ordered a pair of glasses online and I now know so much about my eyes now. I know about diopters and all of that. I had to since Atlantic Eye Care doesnt know how to treat a customer.
