Good snowballs with soft ice and many flavors. I gave 4/5 stars because the service was a little slow and it wasn’t busy. There is outside seating which makes it nice. We will visit again—when it’s not busy.

We used to live in Virginia Beach but never got a chance to try the SnoBall Shop until now. We are fans of Hawaiian shave ice, so we were curious how a SnoBall would stack up. Im happy to say that it lived up to our expectations! The ice is very finely shaven, literally melt in your mouth with no crunchy bits at all. There are a whole lot of flavors to choose from and infinite mix possibilities, but I would highly recommend passionfruit (sometimes known as lilikoi) and honeydew with condensed milk. Their syrups hit the right spot, not overly sweet but rich in flavor. Best of all, the staff are super friendly and patient. We would love to visit again soon, especially when the summer brings heat like it has recently.

Planned to have dessert at the latest Instagram worthy shake place. Plans changed and boy are we glad. For under $30 all 6 of us got a delicious treat. The kids loved all the fun choices and dad loved the red bull with coconut. The employees were all patient, friendly and hard workers. We will be back regularly this summer.

Awesome staff/owner tons and tons of flavors. We have been looking for place just like this since we moved here. If you’re in the area definitely make a regular stopping place and even if you’re not it’s still worth the drive.We will be becoming regulars for sure!!!

I love snoballs! The ice is soooo soft. Only down side, the service can be slow. Outside of that, its my favorite place for a cool, refreshing and delicious treat!!! The staff are always very friendly and professional.

I think you get a very good amount of icee for the price!!! 4 general sizes... Kiddie, small, regular, and large. We all ordered regulars ($4) and they were a perfect size!They were very tasty and we highly recommend them!!!

Two stars because my other experiences weren’t horrible but this most recent time was review worthy....and not in a good way.First and foremost they have a phone number that doesn’t work. It tells you to press 5 then says everyone is busy and hangs up.Second, after standing in line for almost an hour I finally get to the window. Only to be cut off my an angry customer who had previously ordered. She was complaining her ice has no flavor. I thought to myself she was probably just being picky. But after getting two of my own, getting in my car, starting to head home I go ahead and taste my ice. Literally tastes like....water. Another bite....same thing. It was so flavorless that not even my tongue changed color.At first I thought I was crazy. So I scooped some of the ice to the side and the entire bottom of the cup was pure white ice. They only put a few drops of the flavoring on the top. Not enough to go an inch past the rim of the cup.This is not normal based on my past experiences at all. Now after paying $5 for just mine I turned around and headed back. After sitting through 3 lights and it almost completely melting....I go back to ask for more flavor because it’s literally just ice...no flavor.It was the attitude I was met with that caused this review. I had seen a different employee give the girl that cut me attitude but I thought it might be a fluke thing. But then a totally different girl who I complained to gave me the same attitude.No one wants to pay $5-$6 for a cup of flavorless ice they can get for free at home. Don’t huff and puff at your customers because the employee that was clearly brand new wasn’t making them properly. Weird how all the ones she made didn’t have any flavor 🤔Do better! Because now I’ll drive the 35 minutes to pelicans. 🤦🏻‍♀️

First time visiting. Perfect for the summer heat, nice little shop to stop with the kids. They have many flavors to chose from.

Ive been coming here since they opened under a different name and have met one of the owners, who is awesome. Ive been happily ruined, as have my family and everyone else Ive introduced to the place, on sno-cones for the rest of my life... nobody else even comes close to the frozen confection perfection (feel free to use that, Snoball Shop) which is served up by these folks every summer. This is proper shaved ice, piled high over the top of your cup and covered by flavors of your choice from an enormous list that takes up an entire window of the shop, and they are inexpensive. An 8 ounce cup with probably another four or five ounces loaded over the rim (and flavored separately from the bottom half so that you never get just a spoonful of ice in the middle) is just $3 even, tax included, and thats their kiddie size. Theyve also got a rewards program, so you can earn free snoballs just for buying they snoballs you would have bought anyway. There is sometimes a line and you should be prepared for that, but its worth it and just increases the gratification when they hand us our treats at the window. Despite the occasional wait, Ive never once seen anyone looking angry or impatient in line and I get it. Its hard to catch a negative vibe when youre feeling like a kid with a handful of quarters whos waiting for the ice cream man to turn onto his street. My son was four years old when they opened for business, hes nine now, and this has become something of a tradition for us. I hope you enjoy this place as much as much as we all have.

Loved the snowballs we got here. Easy access and parking as the location is in a shack in a parking lot. They have a few picnic tables in the parking lot you can use to eat right when you get your icy treat.

Horrible service! I ordered 5 snowcones and all of them were half full. Definitely not worth the $18. I WAS RIPPED OFF! Not recommending this place to anyone I know

Been here in the past and it has been great. Hear on 4th of July and have been waiting over an hour. Machines are broken and the staff seems to have no clue about the problem.

I was here on a Saturday, and the service was extremely slow. There were three people in front of me and it took a half hour to get to the cash register. Additionally, the worker was fairly rude when taking my order. Seemed to have an attitude. They had to put in a new ice block while making my order and the manager (I assume it was the manager, as she previously had been sitting to the side not making orders) put one in with one gloved hand and one ungloved hand. She did not wash her hands before doing this.I’ll stick with Pelican’s from now on (exact same product, but cheaper, quicker, and drive thru)

U have 2 wait in line for 20 minutes and after you’ve waited they’ll tell u, they aren’t going to give u anything cause they don’t wanna make anything anymore even if you got there 30 minutes before closing. And if you’ve ever been there before you know there ice isn’t even that good they are a bunch of teenagers who move slow. Just go to Rita’s or something.

We came here on July 12th 2020 when it was 93 degrees outside around 3pm. We waited on the pavement with no shade for 30 minutes before leaving . The other people in line said they had been waiting 45 minutes already, and the line had barely moved, at least 15 people were still ahead of us . In the time we were there(30 mins) one couple received their shaved ice. At least have umbrellas up for customers if you expect them to wait for hours in the hot sun. Maybe even offer water if you are going to have them waiting in lines like they are at theme park. Perhaps some waiting music or fans, not sure what is happening there.

Love that we always earn free snoballs, and love that there are so many things to choose from!

I went to Snoball this evening with a friend of mine, it was still very hot and there were no fans or shades. The line was not very long but the service was extremely slow, there were no more than 5 customers in front of us and we were there for half an hour before my friend fainted from the heat, fell down the stairs and cut her nose. She was bleeding profusely and their staff did nothing to help. No first aid kit was offered, they didn’t send anyone out to help or see if we were ok.

The SnoBall Shop is our absolute favorite! They have endless flavor options--dipn dots and sour spray are our go to add-ons! Our dogs are obsessed with the pup cups, and the color changing cups are super fun😊 We also love bringing in our out-of-town family here for a special treat!🧡 Everyone loves it!Also, special shout-out to Rae (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!), who is incredibly sweet and always so friendly! She rocks!!💓😁👍

This is our 2nd time taking the kids here. The product is great, but this comment is more about hygiene at the shop on this particular day (May 31). The cashier used the same gloves she touched money with (cash and cards) to fix the the kids cup. She also touched the gummy with the same gloves. In these times (Covid 19) its important to be clean and use best hygiene practices.

My son and I love this place..I see a lot people complaining about the wait..but if you watch them make the product..they have to wait for the ice to come out of the machine and their process takes a little time.. you get a lot for your money ....The sno cones are always delicious..and very flavorful throughout ...so in some instances..you get what you wait for...It is worth the wait and 🙂...very good small business to support.

Over 100 flavors on the softest ice imaginable!

It had awesome snowcones! But you have to wait in line in the heat with no relief of an overhang. There are tables but they have no umbrellas over them. People were taking turns waiting in line and going back to the shade of their cars. This is not a place to comfortably hang out. There is genuinely no shade at any time of the day since theres no buildings around it. Me and several others walked into the side of the building by the trash bins for a tiny bit of shade. Be prepared to wait in line for 20 minutes in the beating sun.

Awesome SnoBalls(shaved ice)!! So many flavors, add-ins, drizzles!! My puppy loved his pup cup(peanut butter flavored of course), he crushed it!!! Want something cold on a hot summer day, dont hesitate to stop by!!(Even sugar-free for my diabetic daughter, I love it!!!)

This was a fantastic place to go!! Very clean inside and even the area outdoors. No sticky messes on outdoor tables or walk up! The snowballs were perfectly flavored and the texture was perfect!

Evidently from the ratings and other reviews, my visit seems to be a bit of anomaly. Stood in line for about 12-15 min before finally leaving. Visited in the early evening and although the line was long, it appeared there were only 2 people working and they were making these sno-cones as the customers ordered them. Will have to visit again next summer to see if the service improved.

Authentic snoballs are shaved ice, this is it. We rolled in just before closing time and only waited a few minutes in line. I had sugar free blue raspberry and wild cherry. Delicious but wished i had chosen just 1 flavor, as it melts, it blends together. My guests each picked regular flavors, one was the Superhero, red cherry and blue raspberry and one picked wild grape. Both were happy with the flavors. This Snoball shop has handicapped accessible ramps and picnic tables regular size and child size for outdoor seating. Multi colored paint feels vibrant. Prices seemed reasonable. Order 1 size smaller than you think you want so you can finish before it melts and watch out for brain freeze!

Absolutely a delight. Trying new flavors is always fun. A really great experience. Adding cream to any of the fruit flavors or the soda flavors kicks it up a notch.

Super friendly and informative staff! Bianca and Ryan have made both of my visits here super memorable and I will definitely be back! The flavors are not matched by any other snoball place! The snowballs are good. It is just really slow service. If there is a line expect to wait. There is also no shade. There are umbrella stands but no umbrellas. On a hot day, it can be rough.

Longest line of any place like this.We waited 40 minutes on Saturday & finally left since only 6 snow balls were served. The line finally moved forward, but I found out that 10 people just walked away. Tired of waiting.I stood 10 more minutes & no one get served.This was supposed to be a Grand New Opening.You will never make it this way.1 minute serve time (instead of 10 minutes) would have netted you at least those 10 and the 4 that I was going to buy.Stopped by Sunday.Stood in line for 15 minutes more. 2 snow balls served, so I left again.You seem to be in over your head.

Amazing place for a delicious sweet treat on a hot summer day!! There are TONS of flavors to choose from and lots of toppings to go with! I got a strawberry and mango snow cone with Tajin on top. The kids size was perfect for me. There was plenty of syrup over the shaved ice and inside the cup and lots a Tajin (they put some in the middle too, not just on top!). Very tasty and very reasonably priced! Plenty of seating outside and the workers were very friendly and fun!

Very unprofessional place hours on Google says that theyre open and once you get here theyre closed its hard to let a 3 year old down that excited about getting a snow cone this place needs to improve at least leave a note explaining why theyre not open instead of having car sit in the parking lot waiting

This place is fantastic! I always get the strawberry shortcake with cream and it is delicious each time. Everytime I go Im always greeted with a great smile from the energetic staff. The line may be a little long but it is well worth the wait! If I could give this place a million stars I would! The owners are such caring individuals that really take pride in their business. Im glad they brought snoballs to Virginia Beach!

Debated on only giving 3 stars but since the staff is super friendly I gave one back.Edit: Back again and I just cant get over how slow the service is. 2 people working inside and theyre both working on one Let It Sno size together. The teamwork is great but it would make sense for each of them to work on 2 different orders. I had to take one of my stars back.

I just drove all the way from Naval Station Norfolk because google said this place was open.I get here, the shop is NOT open, and there isnt a sign showing why. I spent my lunch hour driving here for nothing. All i wanted was a snowcone.

Service is everything. Unfortunately this place is below freezing with subpar service and the slowest employee I have ever witnessed. Cold but sunny day in April, we are talking waiting for over an hour with only 10 snowballs made in this time. I dont care how good the product is, you cant run a business like this. Seriously, put a little effort in your work, a bit of hustle. This lax attitude customer service is not what you want representing your business. Hire employees who give a F.
