The new commercials talk about the dependability and durability of these batteries. They are nothing more than statements made to justify the high price of these products. I purchased a battery from a mechanic (whos receipt did not list interstate battery) so the guarantee was not applicable, even with the date sticker and stamp clearly still on the battery itself. It failed after 2 years and 3 months. I ended up stuck in some god-forsaken area and cost me a bundle to call a tow truck for a jump-start. I had it tested at a local NAPA and was told it failed the load test miserably. There was nothing wrong with the charging system as attested by a Honda dealership. I called my local Interstate Battery rep on Maui, and he never returned my calls nor did he ever answer the company phone line.Buy your batteries at WalMart or SamsClub. They have a no-hassle return/replacement policy within 3 years of purchase and proration up to 5 years.

If you buy one from a dealer you have to go back to the same dealer even if you on another island this is really stupid and very poor service. They should warrenty the battery at any dealer that carries Interstate Battery.
