Best haircut I had in a long time! Lovely people. Great environment!
I just moved to CA this year and hadn’t had my hair done for a year due to CoVid. It was very long and I had roots. First time I went to Phoenix it took 5 hours to do my hair. I was alittle flipped about the time but a lot was done, color, cool blonde highlights in the front, cut with layers for curl / fullness, color, dryness treatment, toner to calm the brass. When I got home and looked in the mirror, it was amazing! I felt rejuvenated and proud to go back East and visit family (who said my hair looked amazing!) So happy that the cut took minimal length off my hair (phew) and it looked amazing! I could leave it naturally curly, blow it straight, or curl with an iron and it always looked great. Delayed going back because it looked so nice and didn’t want to change it! But roots won over and I went back and said it was perfect but could a layer be added for volume at the top. Well, 3 hours later and my hair is brassy, lost significant length (asked for a trim), and have no layers except at the bottom but they form “shelves”. They don’t blend together at any time, dry, natural dry, straight or curled. My hair now goes out wide at the bottom and never looks that good. Hats are my friend but even a pony tail has ledges. Blonde highlights in the front are almost cut out /colored out from root touch up. She said I should have called her direct to get more time. Three hours is more than enough time. Or tell me you can’t repeat the original style in three hours and let me come back. Even my husband was surprised at the result difference between the two visits. One visit was great, one visit was awful. Now I have to wait for it to grow out to fix the cut and use brass out for the color. First time was too good to be true. Otherwise a nice place, front desk is always nice, and I was really hopeful this would be my new regular place. Never going back.
John Roberts an excellent hair stylist. Love my haircut
Karen is the best for color. I have been to many excellent salons in Rome, SF, and LA and no one compares with her talent. She has a great eye for color and always does an amazing job. She is great at coloring grey and also just as good with my teenager (she is totally up on new trends.) She uses high quality products and is skilled at figuring out what her clients want. I have been seeing her for 5 years and she never disappoints. She is also a lovely person and very easy-going. The salon is well-run and easy to get to, some parking, nice check in staff.
I only come here for nail services. Olga does a fantastic job with my pedicures and occasional manicures. She is a perfectionist. You will leave with your toes looking and feeling great.
I love this salon! Staff are great, it is always clean and I feel welcomed. Wonderful experience each time.
Monica is an outstanding esthetician. She is so knowledgeable and so warm and down to earth. She uses the best of the best in products and devices. Book a 2 hour facial and get the works- LED, microcurrent lift, and the micro penning- my skin has never looked so great! For hair Angel is fabulous! She makes my curly hair shiny, the curls tighter, and virtually frizz free! I have been seeing her for at least 17 years and I wouldnt trust anyone else. I get compliments all the time!
Good service at first but then when I came back to get my hair color retouch I was advise in two different occasions that I still didnt need color done (6 months after I got it done for the first time). I asked for a change (more light or something done because it just looked hideous) and did not get the service which was rather offensive; I get it they were trying to save me some money but ultimately it is up to the client. I found a new place and dont plan in coming back.
Carol was great & lasted almost 2 full weeks. Going in for a pedi today. The space is fun and staff all very friendly.
Enjoy this salon!! Shea has been doing my hair, off and on, for years. Really does a beautiful job...love her to death!!
Cool owners and personnel - long time happy customer
My colorist Saida joined the salon here. I went last week and found the staff and environment genuinely warm and welcoming. Saida always does my color perfectly!
Such an amazing salon! The staff are all so friendly and talented. Karen is the absolute BEST with color and Michelle is awesome for cut!!
Great place to have your hair done specially Miriam she is the best.Parking could be a little challenging
Ive been coming here for about 3 years. I always get hair cuts with Angel and am IN LOVE with her talent! She MUST feel the sparkle goose bumps of appreciation I send her when at home, styling my hair cut by such a professional in her field she could be classified as a true master artist! Srsly, she is that good! Im happy to pay $100 or more for a cut that will always turn out AMAZING (shes not that pricey, but I tip big!)! Ive had others (@13) who were really good! -But Angels hair cuts r 2 DIE 4!! OMG, I can wear it flipped on either side which is HUGE b/c each side creates an entirely diff look, so I basically get many looks out of this one cut!Not to mention, I feel like Ive had a gigantic dose of girl time with a bad ass hottie rock star I could only wish to get to hang out with in real life! She is so fun, she has massive beauty knowledge and has referred me to many new finds in my beauty routine I am too busy (Im a dork) to know about. In summary, I would never be the fierce, smokin hot babe I am with out Angel! She IS an Angel!!! Love you girl!-Also, Christina did my highlights and they were insane awesome too! Going back today for more!
Nicole is the best stylist. I have been seeing her for more than 10 years, and I have also been seeing Karen as my colorist.
So let me start by saying that I went to this place for over two years and have left several generous tips alongside the exorbitant price they expect you to pay for the same quality you can get at a beauty school for half the price. While reading this review please note that it costs around $150 dollars to get highlights here. I dont mind paying that much to get my hair dyed (or even more!) I just expect quality in return. After you make your way through the front door you will have to journey a bit to make it to the front desk, or should I say back desk (which is oddly placed towards the end of the salon) to check in. The first thing you will notice is how rude the back desk is. They dont even look you in the eye while speaking to you and sound really aloof. They give off a vibe that theyre either too good for you or they really hate their job I know you can tell from the other reviews that Im not the only one who has dealt with this issue and for the price you pay here the owner should be competent enough to hire people who can pretend to act like they want to be there. So let me tell you about my recent experience. I arrive twenty minutes late (but I called) because life happens and there is traffic. I know Im not the first late client she had, and I am definitely sure that Im not the last (her next and last appointment had to reschedule to a later time because she was running late even). Mind you I had to cancel things in order to make this appointment and I was really looking forward to it. It was not intentional.1st thing I do is apologize. The stylist gives me a poor attitude about it and tells me that she doesnt have enough time now for full highlights. I say thats fine, just do full color. I point out the blonde in my hair and say I want it like this. She said thats too much maintenance for me (who are you to decide whats too much for me?) and that she was going to make it lighter. I said I wanted blonde. She mentioned that if we had enough time she could put more highlights in.Then she disappears for 30 minutes without a word while I sit in the chair waiting. I assume she went to eat her dinner or something? Dont tell me youre short on time if you have enough time to do highlights if you disappear for 30 minutes. I know she wasnt mixing colors either as she simply used the same bottle the stylist the next to me used when she was done. When she came back she finally started doing her job. She was informed by one of the back desk people that her last appointment was coming in an hour late and this further enraged her. I assume that she forgot that she said she would put more highlights in my hair if she had enough time but her 30 minute break already proved that she didnt care at that point.I blow dried it myself to see what my hair would turn out like and I was flabbergasted. It was awful. The top of my hair is now a dull ORANGE. I never had my hair completely dyed before so I was nervous but I trusted the stylist and now I have orange hair! You can imagine my embarrassment as having a mix of orange and blonde hair is definitely not what I wanted and looks ridiculous. I went in the bathroom to cry. I called my mother and told her what happened and she phoned her asking to redo it and Katelyn refused.Katelyn admitted that she knew it was not what I wanted and decided to do what she liked instead. Basically said too bad that she messed up my hair and didnt want to do blonde. You are being paid to perform a service. Not do what you want! The worst part is she said she wasted an hour of her time doing my hair. You dont have to live with orange hair now. You dont have to wear a hat to go to places now. I do.Is this how you treat a loyal customer for 2 years? Dont use this place. Like I said there are many overpriced salons in Walnut Creek that can do the same and better. Or better yet, go to a beauty school and get better treatment than at this façade of a high quality salon.
Awesome. Of course depends in your stylist
