Literally have had only one pleasant experience at this location and I hate that I don’t remember the younger woman’s name. I have spent countless dollars at Sephora, and specifically this location. I really don’t understand why I was followed around the store by an employee like I’m shoplifting. It’s a small store and it’s really unpleasant to be the only person in there with the employee staring at you at every corner. Can’t even swatch a shade without feeling unwelcome. Highly do not recommend this particular location. Go to the Sephora at Destiny instead.Thank u, next.
Fenty Makeover Fail 😢I went to Sephora a couple of weeks ago and saw that they were doing free Fenty makeovers but at the time I didn’t have the time available to stop and get one, so I went back yesterday to get my free Fenty makeover. I explained to the “artist“ my skin type and concerns with my skin and I told her that I had tried a sample of the Fenty foundation before but that I really didn’t like the texture/finish and was wondering if it might be because I just didn’t apply it properly. At first I was pretty happy because she started to put products on my face that I was looking forward to seeing how they turned out, like the Dr. Jart Tiger Grass color correcting treatment & the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer. The “artist“ had used an imaging tool to determine the exact shade of my skin beforehand & had tried a couple of swatches of the Fenty foundation on my neck and jaw before she started everything but the color that she put on my face was way too light and I was really not happy with the texture at all. Even after putting the Tatcha primer on there was still a terrible texture around my nose and cheeks. My initial impression was “ok, we’re going for the Harley Quinn look” 😩When the “artist“ put the concealer under my eyes she used way too much pressure and made my eyes water like crazy, and on several occasions actually got the brush bristles into my eye. The end result did not look polished and really had a cakey texture. The blush was applied way too heavy and much too high on my cheekbones and I feel like the setting powder added absolutely nothing to the overall look whatsoever. Honestly, the only thing that I really liked from this makeover was the Fenty mascara (which I applied myself) and the lip gloss. To sum it all up, I have no idea if my end result was due to the products that were used or if it was due to the techniques that were used to apply them. The “artist” who did my makeover seemed to have very nice makeup on her own face but did not seem to have a good understanding of how to apply makeup to someone else’s face. I have no idea if the “artists” who are giving makeovers at Sephora are professionally trained but it really did not seem like my artist had any kind of professional training and I will not be going back there for any makeovers in the future, free or otherwise 😓
Does not honor the discount given to first responders.
Love sephora, hate this location and not all the employees are very pleasant to interact with. Made an order online, returned an item in store and was given a jcpenny giftcard instead of an actual refund. Id rather have received a sephora giftcard at the very least. I had my packing slip and order email as well so idk why this happened.
I hate to leave a bad review but wow...So I love Sephora I’m a Rouge member and every experience I’ve had at Sephora stores has been great except for at this one. Yesterday I was told multiple times I needed a barcode to get my 20%!? I have never had this problem and then they tried telling me it’s because they are a J.C. Penney’s location. So I call customer service and the guy on the phone even said Rouge doesn’t have a barcode and it didn’t matter that they were a J.C. Penney’s location. It even says on my account I’m a Rouge! While on the phone I’m assuming it was the manager who came out telling me she found a “barcode” for me to use. I get home check my receipt to find out she gave me the 15% and not even the Rouge 20%. After almost an hour of this I didn’t even get the correct discount. It’s honestly appalling.
Every time I have gone in this store, its been a mess. Nothing ever gets restocked, and the workers never seem to have the time of day for you. I LOVE shopping at Sephora (im ROUGE), but its always such a disappointment walking in here.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when I hand someone my debit card and it’s returned by being thrown on the counter. It’s VERY rude and when hand your card over it should be returned how I gave it to you. They need to work on manners. I doubt that I will be returning to that location. I’d rather drive out to the Sephora in Destiny Mall.
