Complete waste of time and money. My wife took our son (six) to get his hair cut and he very much likes to keep his hair long. We asked that the sides be taken low and as much hair left on top as possible. The stylist literally just buzzed his whole head, in record time, leaving almost no hair whatsoever. I easily could have done this myself, the whole point was to keep as much hair intact. Thanks for ruining picture day for my son, WhimsiKidz.

Our experience at Whinsikidz was very positive and we internd on returning for haircuts. They are tucked into a small area of the building that was the old Paper Perfect.The girl that cut Vince’s hair was so genuine in her personal touch as a hair stylist. Wonderful with the kids and accommodating to say the least.The cut was very nicely done and the price is standard and very reasonable. My kids enjoyed themselves the entire time. A must stop, as places like this remind of of no cell phone. A beautiful planet.

I highly recommend this salon for kids haircuts. We brought our 20 month old son in were prepared to hold him down but didnt need to at all. The stylist was very quick and did such a nice job. It helped she had Moana on the TV. Great experience. We will be back.

They are great at what they do: giving kids - even little kids who dont want to be there - a haircut. Key feature: a TV with many choices of what to watch. A nice, relaxed, nonjudgemental place to get your childs haircut.

Wonderful stylists with unbelievable patience. They always make sure my sons haircut is clean around the ears and neck. No other stylists were able to do that before. My daughter usually gets a small trim yet she is always styled beautifully with a bun or braid. Other childrens salons we visited in the past charged extra for a style like these. I am very surprised to she a couple of negative reviews from years past. If a haircut is not short enough and you ask a stylist to shorten and they comply, how is that a negative? I would much prefer that over a to short cut. Plus, the ladies always ask before spaying glitter. Best childrens salon hands down!

Shelly was great with both our 10 year old daughter and gave her a very flattering trim. More importantly she handled our 2 year old son who had his first cut and had a freak out. She managed to make him look great even though he was resisting.

Cute, small place. Haircuts are a little pricey, but not terrible. They have merchandise for sale that has been sitting there for at least 7-10 years which is strange.

Shelly did what no hairstylist for kids has done before - used two electric clippers on my child. There were a variety of distraction techniques used: spray bottle, hair brush, chocolate chips, The Jungle Book, another family. Anyway, it finally worked, and now we have a toddler with a hipster haircut that looks good styled or messy.

Shelly did a wonderful job on my sons hair! It was his first haircut and I wasnt sure how he would do. He ended up being afraid of the trimmer, but Shelly was very patient with him. I love the cut, its exactly what I wanted. Will definitely be back!! If you book an appt online make sure you call to find out exactly where theyre located, it can be a little hard to find if youre not familiar with the area. Make sure you arrive early so you have time to find parking. Highly recommended for kids haircuts!!

Hair stylists are great with kids, but I often feel their haircuts are rushed through. Also, didnt realize a tip could not be added on to a swiped card and I didnt have cash. Super inconvenient. Cute, kid-oriented place.

Love this place

I took my son here for his 1st haircut. Shelly trimmed just a little off which is what we wanted. We wanted to keep his curls but get the hair out of his eyes. She was very nice and made my one year old feel comfortable. He had no freak outs and there was plenty to entertain him there. The only negative thing is the actual place. Its pretty old and a little musty smelling.

Terrible. I took my two kids there. One for a first haircut and my toddler for her haircut. My daughter has long hair and wanted it done differently and just a little shorter. The woman trimmed a tiny bit in just the back with absolutely no shape. It looked exactly the same as it did when we walked in. The first haircut on my son, we had to have her do it twice because there was barely anything taken off. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I honestly could have done the trim on my daughter myself. I can not believe it was $18 for each. It was way over priced especially for what was done. Also, there were sparkles put in my daughters hair, which I didnt agree to and the smell on it is horrible.

We had a great experience at Whimsikidz! My 3.5y/o was very afraid of getting her haircut - we had gone to adult salons before - so I thought Id give a kid-centered salon a try. Tim was a pro, he asked her if shed like to watch a princess video which made her very happy, and even got her a princess booster. She settled in comfortably while my 1 y/o played with their toys, and Tim gave her a really great haircut - he took his time and you could see he knows his stuff. My daughter has already received lots of compliments on her haircut and one of my friends is taking in her toddler to get the same one :)

Great stylist. Handled both of my boys (1 & 3) with no issues. Lots of toys, games and movies to occupy the little ones.

Very nice stylists and my daughter enjoyed her cut.

Son looked like Jim Carrey in dumb and dumber very blunt with no texture. Kid friendly environment with lots of toys was a plus.

Since our regular place closed we gave them a try twice - the first time was awful as we there were no introductions and before we could explain what we wanted the stylist (i believe the owner) started in with the clippers and our just 3 year old was terrified -- the 2nd time went better as we used a different stylist but this place is not set up for kids -- sure there is a toy box but having simple barber chairs and seemingly to be behind both times we have since moved on

Although my baby cried the whole time. I am pleased with the results.
