Purchased tires with Road hazard insurance. When the sidewall had a chunk taken out but didn’t go flat, they claimed tire is fine. My usual Shop FAILED car inspection. Tires etc said he’d inspect the car but after 3 attempts they won’t schedule the car. Waste of money buying their Hazard policy.

I stopped in Tires etc. after I went through a local car wash and a part of my front bumper suffered damage and I thought a screw was imbedded in my tire. Someone came out immediately to help me and found the screw did not penetrate the tire and then secured the damaged section of my bumper with new brackets and refused to except payment! I can’t thank them enough for their kindness!

Why are tire places always so shiesty? Called in and was told that its impossible to replace TPMS sensors with regular valve stems, but theyll be happy to replace the sensors at $130/tire.You can absolutely just have regular valve stems, your warning light will just be on.Going to a different shop since this place cant be straight with their potential customers.

Bunch of crooks working there. Wrongfully failed my safety inspection and wanted $1000 just to replace rotors and rear shocks (which were not in need of replacement/in the state that would warrant a failed inspection)Another local mechanic is going to replace the parts in question for half that cost....They want to charge a whole other reinspection fee in you fail inspection. Its obvious why they charge so low for inspection.... they plan to charge you for other things.Will not be returning.

I took my car in for its yearly inspection last week and the manager was super friendly and helpful. I was struggling to find my most recent registration, and he offered to help pull it up online. My car did require a tire rotation and balance, as the front tires were getting pretty worn. I asked if I just needed new tires altogether and was told I did not. This was a relief to me and a surprise as I feel like a lot of shops would have taken the chance to sell me on something I really didn’t need. I wish I had written down the name of the manager that helped me (it could have been Craig??) as he made visit much less stressful than I expected it to be. Will definitely be returning in the future.

If you want to waste your money feel free to go here. Took my car to this place just to get an inspection and they come back telling me that both of my front struts need replaced. They told me they can’t just order the struts they have to order the whole unit which isn’t true they just don’t want to order just the struts. This would be more work for them. The price they gave me for the whole unit was pretty much accurate but then told me that the labor would be around four hours and $600. I ended up taking it to a family member who works at a car dealership they said they could get just the struts and it would be much cheaper. When I finally took it to the family members place his coworker who is a mechanic said there is nothing wrong with either of the front struts. On top of that they missed the fact that my battery was testing week at the original place. Do not take your car here they just want money.

Worst shop ever! Went there pre-pandemic for inspection. Told us to replace brake pads there, otherwise won’t let us pass inspection, and won’t give refund. Went to dealer right after and no issues with brake pads.

They fixed her tire without fuss, without finding other things wrong, and focused on building a long-term customer relationship instead of just making a quick buck. Waste of time. Dont go here! Told me to drop off the car and it would be done in 90 minutes. 2 Hours later, the car hasnt even been looked at. The manager, tells me it will be a few more hours before they can get to it. This was after calling ahead to set a time to drop the car off!Very unprofessional service. The managers response was, Well take the car and come back later... Really?!

Really appreciated the time and care taken towards addressing my tire pressure indicator light issues, including full service inspection of each tire. Even though this team took the time to take all tires off, and found the issue was minor- they did everything in their capacity to ensure it wasn’t a bigger issue. I appreciate that they didn’t even attempt do unnecessary work and didn’t charge me for anything I didn’t need done. Furthermore, the general manager- I think his name was Jeff- showed me some basic useful info about my car that will come in handy in the future. It’s the first time I’ve ever had a mechanic give me basic education in a non condescending and generally helpful way. Definitely will be returning to them for my car’s larger needs!

They lied to me ! They told me that the tire is leaking from 2 places and they can’t fix it, so need new tire also they told me all tires need to be changed.I took my car to different place and check the tire, it actually was due to weather changes .

I was late and the business was almost closing and my cab took longer to pick me up but the manager waited for me and when I showed up he still had time to explain what they did and what I would need for my old car. I highly recommend this guys!!!

I brought my truck in for front brakes. The mechanic used an air chisel and ruined my wheel bearing trying to do the job. They also cut up the ABS sensor trying to remove the wheel bearing. Then they stripped the bolts putting it back together. Then after I left and the caliper locked up on the driver side. I went back and they told me there was nothing wrong. I had to bring it to another shop who found out that they only put 3 out of 4 bolts in my wheel bearing, and the bleeder bolts on the caliper were still seized. They lied about flushing the brake fluid. I needed to replace my wheel bearing and ABS sensor because it was beyond repair. They also charged me for a front end alignment but didnt even do it. They originally gave a verbal quote of $250 to do the front brakes and ended up charging me double because it took them longer. Never got a call that there was any issue or that it would cost more. I have been fighting to get a charge back with my credit card. Do not trust them for anything other than tires.

So the website of this place was advertising $39.99 for inspection which seems like a great deal. So a few days before my inspection was due I took my car here, which was today. They told me that I needed to replace my rear brake pads and rear rotors, and quoted me about $500 for both sets, including labor. I called a couple of other places and decided to take my car to the dealership to confirm that it needed to be replaced. At the dealership, a service advisor and a technician confirmed that neither my brake pads nor my rotors were anywhere NEAR needing to be replaced. They took my brake pads off of my cars to show me how thick they were. It was then that I realized that at Tires Etc, the technician took my brake pads off of my car before showing me where the brake pads were, and tried to pass off the outline where my brake pads (that were in the shape of brake pads) would be as my brake pads. So of course it seemed extremely worn down.I also have a New Drive, Please be Patient bumper sticker on my car so that idiots stay away from me on the road, so they probably thought that I would believe them.The most unbelievable part was that even though they acted as if I needed those parts replaced, they still gave me new inspection stickers because my car obviously passed inspection, and then avoided actually telling me that my car passed so that I wouldnt figure out what they were trying to do. The reason the inspection cost is so low is because they take advantage of your lack of knowledge and will try to tell you to something needs to be replaced, and if it doesnt need to be replaced and you end up paying to replace it, you will never know you didnt need it.Anyway, its not like I lost any money or any damage was done to my car (as far as I know), but it was a little disappointing going in there as a woman and being taken advantage of. I definitely wasted at least 2 hours trying to get quotes from other places and then driving to the dealership and waiting to confirm if anything was actually wrong. I am happy to delete this negative review if the business owner calls me personally and apologizes, but otherwise I feel that this information is important for all future potential customers when choosing a trustworthy mechanic.

The A/C on our Honda Accord stopped working. I called them to see if they can give us a quote. They did not mention about a diagnostic fee. Just told me to bring it in and they will see whats going on. They asked us to drop the car and called us later saying it will cost 1400$ to fix it. We got a better quote from another place so we ended up not getting the A/C fixed by them. But when we went to pick up the car, they charged us $140 plus tax as the diagnostic fee. They wouldnt hand me the car keys back till I paid that. This was not discussed or mentioned upfront. Because we ended up not getting the A/C fixed by them they were very unprofessional and had no answer on why they didnt mention it before or had us sign any paperwork regarding the diagnostic fee. TOTAL FRAUD! NEVER AGAIN. BEWARE before you get a quote or get any work done by this unprofessional business.

Replaced 4 tires on my truck. They did it quick and it was done before they said it would be. Also had some minor issue with my tailgate that i thought i would have to go to the dealer for, they just fixed it without me even asking, saved me a ton of time. Also did inspection and some other minor stuff i had been putting off. Will definitely use them again.

Very fair prices. Honest with work that NEEDS to be done versus what COULD be done. Only knock would be that they dont do appointments so you need to get there EARLY to make sure they can do longer services like inspection.

I called Tires plus in West Chester around 11 AM after I got the run around from my Chevy dealer on getting new tires installed . I spoke to Jeff Kirby and he said he could get my vehicle done by 6 PM that day. Not only did Jeff and his team save me a ton of money they installed 4 new tires new rear brakes did an Alignment and an inspection and had me back on the road by 2PM. I will definitively be taking my vehicle back for all my automotive needs in the future.

Fantastic service! I stopped in by chance with my Smart Car, hoping they could help me with a flat tire that Pep Boys tried to fix. I explained the issue, and the Service Manager thought a moment (Jeff) and decided to fix the problem with my sensor/valve. He was able to tighten the stem, fill my (flat) tire with air and even checked for a leak. First time using them, but they absolutely know their business. Well done!

Went for inspection Friday...6 1/2 hours I failed for struts and ended up with a busted visor. Went back Monday...6 hours later again Rivets were missing from where they worked and the side piece blew off in the car wash. I went back and was told they were never there as the kid that put on the struts had them broke in his hand LoL I was overcharged and hit with a $20 shop fee!? 8 days & 3 phone calls later they replaced the visor. Came in a couple times before with 3 different vehicles and had no problems but this is crazy.(Customer Lost) Do yourself a HUGE FAVOR and go to MONTES in West Chester they are cheaper, quicker and honest!!

Tire service was quick and quality seems well done. Pricing was excellent and as quoted, no gimmicks. Might have to give them a try for general preventive maintenance.

BEWARE OF THE $39.99 plus taxes INSPECTION SCAM....Complete rip off of a business...The 44.95 inspection is a complete scam.They Will find something to fail you for then charge you an outrageous rate to fix it.The reason the inspection cost is so low is because they take advantage of your lack of knowledge and will try to tell you to something needs to be replaced, and if it doesnt need to be replaced and you end up paying to replace it, you will never know you didnt need it.Our very first experience went really bad. I wish I could have read about Jeffs bad reviews earlier before sending my wife to this place for the car inspection this morning on 11/9/2020 at 8.50 AM ET.Everything was going well until they came with some recommendations which were charging around $400. And then they came up with the Inspection Failing Scenario for changing the license plate bulbs. They told me that I needed to replace my license plate bulbs, and quoted me about $33.88 including labor where the actual part costs $3.88 and was done in 12 minutes (could be done in less than 5 minutes actually). I could have doen it sooner for sure because I had the knowledge here!When I spoke to Jeff Kirby over the phoen he said We charge $139.99 for 1 hour of labor. Wow thats really high, I think the labors working here are pretty fortunate to have this kind of pay even in this pandemic situation. It may want people like you and me to retire and join the mechanic job. When we asked for more details he said, you can leave without fixing it, failing the inspection and was pointing towards the inspection charges board (being sarcastic tkat meant you will fail this inspection noe and pay again later, the choice is yours). He very well knew that if we didnt change the bulb lights at this place, he was going to fail the inspection leaving the customer to pay again for the inspection charges. My wife has lost her job during the pandemic and we know what it feels like when you are ripped in such a situation. Me and my wife were very much frustrated and learnt our own lesson.Sharing genuine info so that we may save the next to become a victim here. Please find a better palce for your car inspection is something I will strongly suggest.

Great experience getting my car serviced here. I needed 4 new tires, front pads and rotors and a state inspection. The work was completed in 4 hours while I waited. The waiting room was comfortable, but I knocked off one star for lack of easy access to power outlets. You cant beat their prices on General tires. The pads and rotors were competitively priced and so far, have been quiet and effective. If you are picky about your parts, theyll allow you to bring your own and charge just for labor. Their manager called me back after I left an e-mail and assured me Id be happy with their pads and rotors. He personally guaranteed it. Ill be returning for service.

Very friendly and professional service, great prices for inspections and repairs, and you can bring your own parts if you want to save a few extra dollars. Not sure why the bad reviews but mine was absolutely awesome! Eric(?) matched the quote I downloaded, asked a few questions about my vehicle, (special service truck), informed me my tires would take 2 days to order, (I was not in a hurry) then called me when they came in. We chatted, he, being very polite the whole time & I felt very comfortable. I even had an unrelated question about Ford trucks & Jeff (Manager) came out of his office, explained the issue & advised me to not do what I was going to do saving me a boat load of money on a new truck computer. Their prices are fair, very competitive & cheaper (I checked 5 other outlets before going) their tires are exactly what they post on line, their lounge was clean, leather chairs, TV was on, power for laptops & charging, coffee & cold water available, bathroom, it was all good! There was a slight delay in my service because it is first come/ first serve but listening to a few other customers checking out, all were satisfied, calm & pleased. Nobody was rude! Even the FEMALE mechanic who worked on my truck was polite & smiled. A first for me, never had a lady work on my vehicles before. Kudos, top notch work! Ive used a number of repair/tire garages in the Chester, Delco area, some good, some bad but on my list, these guys are right up there in my top 3. I highly recommend them. Ive met many people from all walks of life being a first responder for 38 years & I found that you get what you give, check the negativity at the door & your experience should be a pleasant one. Excellent & Caring Staff - They went out of their way not only to talk to me about my tires several tires to spend pretty much the same amount but get triple the life in terms of tread. They also alerted me about a potentially expensive fix that my certification would cover. They made me feel like my father was talking to me and taking care of my car, so I highly recommend them. The pricing is also awesome and beat out several other competitor quotes.

Had my vehicle serviced today, after leaving I noticed a noise coming from the rear wheels. I called to inform them of this & was asked to return at 3:30 pm that day for them to check this problem. When I arrived at 3:30 pm I was greeted by the store manager, Jeff Kerby. He told me that the staff had left for the day and he couldn’t help me. I informed him of my situation and was asked to return to the store by Eric who was helpful on the phone. Jeff was very short & rude with me and handed my keys back to me as well told me to leave. Are kidding me, they just serviced the vehicle 3 hours ago, no staff in the store at 3:30 pm on a Friday afternoon and they don’t close until 6:00 pm. I was also charged for a service that I did not request. My second bad experience with this retailer, I will not be returning or recommend them to anyone. Very disappointed, Jon it’s time to replace Jeff Kerby!

Had a great experience using the West Chester shop, Needed new tires after a pot hole blowout. They got the tires very next day and it was the best price around by a significant amount. As soon as tires came in i got a call and I was in and out in about 45 minutes with no appointment. Jeff and the guys there were very helpful, I will be back when need tires again.I highly recommend this place for the tires. They have the Consumers Reports Best Tires Chart on the wall that helps in making selection and decision.

Took one of our vehicles in for an inspection. This was our first visit to this place. First impressions were good. We dropped it off and took a walk around West Chester while they had it. After a few hours it was done. Location is good with plenty of places to eat if you are waiting on the work to be completed. The waiting area was comfortable. They even have free drinks as well. We will be taking our cars there for their next oil changes to see how that goes. Customer service was really good.

While searching for new tires for my car, I called Tires Etc. They helped me select the best choice for my car and promptly ordered the tires since they didn’t have them on hand. My tires arrived the next day and I proceeded to bring my car in. While I was there I brought up and pointed out some issues I had from previous work done at a National chain along with a mysterious water leak in my trunk. Jeff was very knowledgeable and took time checking all of my concerns. He invited me into the work area and explained what was going on in simple terms, he then fixed all of the issues and even corrected the previous shoddy brake install I had from the National chain location. Jeff and his team are car doctors. He was so friendly and I was extremely relieved to leave with not only a new set of great tires but also a few other items corrected including the leak in my trunk. I enjoyed my experience so much that I bought the tire warranty to get free rotations going forward. I’ve been telling everyone to check them out because they are knowledgeable, trustworthy, and friendly. From now on I will be skipping my dealership service center for Tires Etc. Giving two stars only because of how nice they were! But I have fallen victim to the nice act one too many times. I got four new tires, alignment, brakes, and new arms for my SUV. (Maybe more, I need to get my itemized list & can update.)The tires drove great (I only drove them 8 miles that evening), but the next day things went downhill. My car was shaky when driving, it kept accelerating at weird paces, just weird!Fast forward to almost 2 weeks later, and I was driving to Maryland (like I did every other weekend to babysit)- my car wouldnt accelerate! My air stopped working. I NEVER had these problems before- ever! I left from West Chester, PA and got to right before the Christiana Mall before these crazy things started happening. (Since servicing, I didnt drive it more than 20-30 miles/day before taking this trip).Ive inquired about getting them to look at it to check their work- to no avail. No one has returned my e-mail or called- nothing! They e-mail/call so quickly when you are inquiring about their tires/services. But if they made a mistake it seems as if they are in the wind.My schedule hasnt allowed me to make it out there with enough time before they close, but I will be taking a day off of work to go in because this is crazy!I was so happy that I thought I found a trustworthy, down to earth, just all over nice people at a shop that is so much closer to my house than my Dads go to service center. I wish I would have just driven the 40 minutes! Id be able to actually take beach trips this summer! This is awful! :( :( :($1400 down the drain!!

At first, I was so excited because the state inspection and emissions are so cheap here. Theres a reason for that. We brought my husbands car in and it took hours which is fine. But they dont take appointments which shouldve been the 2nd warning sign after the price. We are not car people, so we put our trust in the people in the shops to be honest with us. They called my husband and told him things that were wrong with his car. They led him to believe that he needed to fix these issues in order to pass inspection. However, none of it was necessary to pass inspection. They charged $140 for a new battery and an installation fee. We ended up paying over $500 in repairs that we couldve gotten done much cheaper somewhere else. We are taking this as a learning experience and have since researched exactly what is necessary for an inspection sticker. Dont be fooled by the cheap price. Go somewhere that costs a little more - itll end up saving you money in the long run.

Staff was really kind and welcoming, inspection price was great (half what I was quoted somewhere else nearby), and they were accommodating to our last minute scheduling needs. Definitely coming back here to get my other car inspected soon! Thanks fellas!

Ordinarily I only take my cars to a dealership for repairs. However since I always go to Tires Etc for Tires I have been allowing regular service be performed & its been great! Jeff knows cars & the work has been first rate. I was willing to pay more for the work to be done right; now I dont have too! The work is great & Im saving alot of money!!!

I went in on a Saturday morning and the gentleman told me it would be about 2 hours to get my car inspected. They called me back in about 30 minutes suggesting just a tire rotation and balance. I agreed and also got a quote. My car was done we were in and out in an hour. Everyone there was so friendly and the place was spotless. I will suggest this garage to all of my friends.

I have used Tire Etc three or four times now and they have been terrific! Twice for an oil change, and their prices are better than doing the oil change yourself, and they dont try to tell you to fix anything else. Recently I brought my car and my wifes car for inspection. Took around an hour, but thats usually what inspection takes. Needed some minor repairs, and they fixed no problem. Also, in understanding costs, they are the most reasonable out there! Jeff and Eric have been great to work with. I am sold on this place for all future services!!!

I had a very positive first experience here this weekend. I had an overdue inspection done and as expected I needed a few things to pass. They walked me through it over the phone and explained that I would need a few other things over time but can put if off for now. They were courteous and priced well. No surprises. Id definitely recommend.

Got a set of 4 awesome top of the line full off-road tires for a price probably $50 lower than anybody around or even on the internet, PER TIRE! And that wasnt even on special or rebate, just straight up everyday price. I was also pleasantly surprised when they didnt try to up-sell me, push insurance or road hazard, or bill me for extras since I brought in new rims which they had to stem and balance from scratch. They charged me exactly what was quoted online without me even mentioning the price. Im still in awe. Plus, they are just great people. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Finally found a place to bring my car after 6 years of living in WC! Jeff was such a big help. So nice to have a trustworthy place to bring my car :)

HONEST!!!! I finally found a place to bring our cars where I can TRUST the mechanics:) I have brought my husbands car there a few times- all good experiences. My last car was under warrantee. I only just brought my new one there for the 1st time because my tire pressure light came on and I am going far after work. They went over each tire for a while and then told my it wasnt anything that was wrong- and didnt charge me. How many shops do that nowadays? I would have expected a small charge for their time but they know I will come back every time. THANK YOU!!!!

Wonderful service always prompt... Great job everytime.. No appointment needed but is preferred. Dave and the Manager Jeff Kirby are super awesome and very good at fixing the problem right the first time... Thanks guys for the great job all the time!!!

Another great job by Tires Etc. of West Chester. They diagnosed the front end noise of my car and made the necessary repairs. Now it runs smooth and quiet. Suggested I get my inspection done while the car was there to save some time. Would highly recommend.

Jeff is a knowledgeable and honest mechanic. The staff is friendly and the waiting area is top notch. Great service as well.

I had a wonderful experience with Tires Etc! I brought my car here when I had a flat tire with a screw stuck in it. Tires Etc had me back on the road in less than an hour and were extremely friendly at the same time! I will definitely be headed back there if I ever have any other tire needs.

I have been here several times for 2 cars. They always take great care of us. Great prices and no bull attempts to overcharge and upsell. I will continue using them for sure!

Went in for a set of four tires and learned that i needed rotors and brakes. Initial order of rotors from part warehouse did not fit my vehicle and they had another set delivered. They fit but the original brakes no longer fit. A day at the shop and they asked for me to return another day for job completion. They put the original brakes back on and i had to return another day for job completion..

I always have a positive experience at this establishment. The workers are always friendly and theyre very transparent and up front with their pricing. They dont talk down to you or make you feel like an idiot when talking about technical car things and are very helpful in explaining everything fully.

There are very few places where I feel I can take my car and know that I’m doing what’s best for my car AND my wallet. Great prices and great service. 5/5 for this one.

Had a great experience using the West Chester shop, went in after a pot hole blowout. Not only did they have the matching tire in stock, it was the best price around by a significant amount. I was in and out in about 45 minutes with no appointment. When I got home, I noticed the mechanic had put the spare back in the bottom of the trunk where it actually belonged and had assembled all of the covers etc. Jeff and the guys there were very helpful, well be back when we need tires again.

We ordered tires from there, when they came in they called and we went that day to have them installed, as there tire install service is a walk in service after 2 hours or waiting to and an anticipated 4 + more, my wife decided just to buy just the tires outright and have our normal mechanic do the mount and install etc. The tires were a good price, no question, just a slow wait to get installed. We were also charged $10 per tire just to bring them out to the car, and there online quotes differ from the in person price. Will defiantly get tires there in the future, but just the tires themselves.

This is the second time that I used this company. I was very pleased with their prices and service on both visits. I happened upon Tires Etc by making price comparisons. I honestly felt that Jeff and Eric went out of their way to help me with my auto troubles. In addition, staff lent me their personal phone charger, explained how the repairs would be done before hand, explained tire maintenance, made sure all my tires and spare were properly inflated, and delayed closing because an urgent situation was making me late to get to their business. I also felt that Jeff, the manager, was genuinely friendly and honest. I wouldn’t say this if I didn’t firmly believe it was true. I will continue to do business with Tire Etc in the future.

I tried these guys recently when my car needed new tires. They were very polite and friendly and the pricing was reasonable. They even helped me out because I was in a jam and had a funeral to go to. Definitely recommend!

Bought my set of tires here with the service package last year. I called to make an appointment for balancing and rotation, the guy said we dont do appointments... its first come first served. So I brought the car over as soon as they are opened on a Saturday, they said were booked and was told that during the week is better. I took off a day from work the following Monday and brought it in first thing, and was told to leave the car there but they wont be able to look at it until closer to noon. Really? Bringing my business elsewhere!

I went to Tires etc for my state inspection and had a fantastic experience. The store manager, Jeff, was very friendly and informative. Jeff explained to me what my car needed done, explained why it needed done or was suggested, and even showed me so I fully understood. As a young woman with little knowledge about vehicles, it meant a lot that Jeff took the time to ensure that I was making a fully informed decision about what services to complete. The prices were great in comparison to other shops Ive been to, and I felt confident that I was making the best possible choices for my vehicle. Tyron who worked at the front was extremely friendly as well and even called me after I had left because I had left a paper there and they wanted to make sure I didnt need or want it. I will be returning for all my future auto related needs.

State inspection took 7 hrs. I was told it would take around 4 hours. Got there at 8, called at 13:00 and no one answered. By 13:30 decided to go there and I was told everything was good and they only needed the stickers which would take around 30 minutes. Ended getting out of there around 15:00...

Terrific courteous, prompt and thorough service. Any repairs were explained with a flashlight right on my car part. Feeling confident driving my 1997 car due to their mechanical repairs.
