Recommended installer from Tirerack - would not recommend.Appointment was easy to set, car was in shop within 15 minutes of appointment and 4 tires mounted/balanced within 60 minutes.Finally washed car today and they scuffed the clear coat on 3 wheels (machined/clear). Its been 2 weeks so my guess is theyll deny the damage. Also – the valve stems don’t look new.Few days after install I developed a noise in rear of car and they asked me to drop it of so they could take a look at tires. Correctly diagnosed as rear wheel bearing but I wasnt told when I dropped the vehicle that if the issue wasnt related to their install I would be charged - $20 diagnosis is more than fair but its the principle of disclosing charges up front.

A couple of months ago I had 2 flat tires on consecutive days and I got them fixed at Tire Plus at University Avenue west des Moines iowa. I took it to them because I assumed they are tire people.My vehicle had no issues with alignment or tire pulling to one side before the flats.After flats were fixed and installed vehicle started pulling to one side terribly.I took it back to them and they said the alignment is off and would cost over $100.For a second opinion I showed it to Meineke at Weston Parkway west des Moines iowa, they did tire rotation based on ware and the issue fixed.How unknowledgeable the staff at Tire plus are . Ill never again go to them for anything.

Good job as always. The pricing is industry standard(not the cheapest but not the highest) and the guys are pretty straight forward, good people with whom to work. I have been coming here for years and will continue to come back. Good luck on your search!

I had a slow leak took it in, didnt even have a puncture just a dirty seal and they cleaned it up for me was very friendly and quick

I think this place is great.  The staff is helpful and friendly. I drop vehicles off in the morning and pick them up after work. Having worked on cars in my youth, I dont feel like they have ever tried to sell me un-needed services.

Th car dealer let me down after I specifically asked them to look at my tire that seemed flat this morning. I took my car to Tires Plus later the same day and they got my tire fixed up and I was good to go a few hours later!! I had been there once before for something small and simple, but both times the employees I interacted with were so nice and respectful! I will definitely go back to them and I will definitely recommend other people I know to go to them as well! Great service!!

I called in, was told hopefully would have tired plugged/repaired within an hour. I offered, I would also hope that 1 and a half hours would do the trick. No comment one way or another - so I drop the tire off. When getting there, Im also given fluffy communication (no commitment, pro-active communication) regarding when itll be done, but again when I offer that Ill be back in 2 hours, Im not told that WONT work. So, I arrive back in 2.5 hours to hear they havent gotten to it yet, and didnt bother to call. BAD, BAD business. I do not trust this was in fact a first in, first out type of arrangement, and instead suspect this was a combination of them up-selling, taking higher margin work, and very poor communication and expectation setting on the part of the desk/office staff.This was the University WDM location. Very disappointed. Wasted quite a bit of my time.

The staff here are wonderful. They helped find a problem another unrelated shop created. They were extremely patient while I got input from family and while I was dealing with the other shop. They took the time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle and why it was running like it was.

I made the appointment yesterday for alignment on my car for today, my mom dropped it off, and waited 45minutes to be consider even tho she couldnt communicate when the drop off, Tire Plus knew from yesterday what was needed, and could of call me and didnt .. I told her then to ask for the key and walk away. I think they should of been more professional on letting her know if she was going to be helped or not, and if it was going to take longer like 45min even tho an appointment was done.**********They dont deserve a 1 STAR********

I have been going to Tires Plus for years. Most of the time to this Tires Plus. Apparently they went under new management in 2018. I filled out the online form to get 4 new tires on our van. I drop it off on the scheduled day at 6:30 am before they opened (appointment set for noon). I show up at 4 pm and say I am there to pick up the van. Long story made short, the manager said they did not do anything with the van because they were not sure what to do. I have filled out the online service form several times before and never had an issue with past management. I asked the manager if they had my correct email and phone number, they did. I asked why they did not call if they had a question. His response, I guess I could have done that. Needless to say they lost the sale and a customer that has been going there for decades.

Came in at the last minute of closing and Colt helped me . Came from IL got a screw stuck in my tire. Colt stayed late and provided patient and kind customer service to get me back on the road safely.

Grant Willey is the WORST MANAGER OF ANY TIRES PLUS IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Grant literally tried to break my car when I brought it in with a concern... burning up the motor on the window control.I came in for an oil change and wipers... they never bothered to call. Instead of receiving an apology, Grant ARGUED with me multiple times. He tried to point fingers at everyone but himself for the crappy service. THEN, when I asked for his managers name and number as I will no longer do business while he is at that location, he literally tried to say he didnt want my business. That is FINE buddy. Thats just fine... you tried to break my car, took 19 hours for an oil change and throw all of your coworkers and Assistant Manager under the bus. I wont return and have told anyone Ive recommended them to of my experience.

I needed an appointment asap and after calling many places (like 10) they made time for me the same day I called. Looked my car over, fixed the issues quickly, and I had my car back after the work day. Super thankful they were speedy, honest, and helpful! Eternally greatful Im not waiting until next week for my repairs.

Went in to have my tires checked, my steering wheel started violently shaking at 40 mph. Asked if they could just check them since we bought the tires there, our mother just passed we were having the visitation at 4 that day, then the funeral tomorrow. Of coarse, the tires started acting up while going back and forth to the hospital the week before.Was told, no they couldnt look at them I had to get an appointment for 4 to 5 hours later to even have them looked at. I couldnt do that, guess I have to drive the van an hour away acting like this.My husband tried to get something looked at a month or so back, was told he had to make an appointment.After buying two vehicles tires there and then trying to get service, and being turned away both times, we will never be going to your stores ever again.Evidently you are very busy, so you wont miss our business, but in a very hard time in our life we didnt need this on top of everything else.The man in the office wouldnt even get up to talk to me at first, his back was to me and he started to ask questions, I couldnt tell if he was talking to me or not. I will not be returning to this location nor will I be recommending it to anyone. The service was terrible. The techs put a part on my new tires that was not suppose to be used on the new tires, and years later I had issues with the tires due to the part they put on. They refused to do anything about it and wanted to charge me $180 per tire for the part... After going rounds with them they were still rude. Even when I decided to purchase new tires they continued to be rude and have attitude. It took them over 3 hours to install 2 tires. And while I was waiting for my car, I would listen to the employees talk to other customers. Ive never heard people talk down to customers or make them feel stupid like that before! Horrible people skills! Even the manager is rude and unhelpful. I highly recommend going to a different location.

Great service!! Needed work done quickly before a trip. They got me in and out in less time than they quoted.

I cant explain my experience but they have made me spend over $1,000 and supposively with warranty of 60,000 miles and with road hazard warranty. Every time, I would go for a basic check up for tire pressure or a nail etc, they would never check my tires properly. I would always end up at another location but wanted to take advantage of the warranty. All I can say is that, when someone spends money for new of everything, treat them well. I am done with them and their service. All I am saying is this is my experience and yours may be better or worse but this is mine.

All three gentlemen I met were nice, provided excellent service and were very knowledgeable. I called at lunch time about a flat and they had it done for me to pick up by the end of the day. The cost was reasonable as well. Ive always gone to a dealership, but I think Ill be switching to them for maintenence work!

The folks at Tires Plus went out of their way to help my dad after he had a blown tire right at closing time. Good people and good service!

We had one last place, Tires Plus of West Des Moines. Without hesitation, We cant promise we can do it, we can promise that we will try.In and out in less than $15. They didnt even want to charge us for the service or disposal of the tire!

I had a flat tire on a sunday 30 miles away from home and needed to get it fixed. I called 4 other places in the area and was told that they were too busy, but one of those places asked if I had tried Tires plus, so I did.When I called they said we are busy but we will get you fixed up. When I got there it was 30 minutes before closing time. They looked at my tire and it was unrepairable and they didnt have one in stock. But the manager gladly made some phone calls and found one at another tires plus store, went and got it and put it on my car. He and his staff stayed late on a Sunday night and took care of me. For anyone in the customer service business, this the way that you gain and keep customers. Go the 2nd mile generally will cost you nothing and gain you much more.Thank you for going the extra mile for me!

Absolute crooks! Avoid at all costs! Just had brand new parts put on at reputable auto shop and took it in for lifetime alignment. They said they couldnt because the exact same parts I just replaced were bad. AVOID unless you like getting screwed!

I cant say much about the quality of work done at this location. I had a friend have a tire replaced there an it worked out fine. However, I was about to use their services but found that the workers (including the managers) need some work on their people skills. I realize these are mechanics, but it is still a business. The two men I met and spoke to were not friendly and acted as though I was a nuisance. They also had long awkward pauses on the phone (strange). Took my car elsewhere.

I took my truck in to replace 2 tires and get an alignment. I was told I could not get the alignment due to a bad left berring, he walked me to my vehicle and showed me the bad part and would happen if the part was not replaced. So I went with the 2 tires mounting. The tires where balanced and mounted and I left feeling satisfied with the work that has been done. I will be returning here to have more work done.

I am a 27 year old, single woman. I got a flat tire mid day and called this tires plus. Mike and Robert were both incredibly rude to me. They were short, snappy, and not fully answering my questions. I had to ask 5 questions to get a full answer. When I said I was having a bad experience with them, and I was going to call another location, he said, happily okay!!! Bye!! It was rude and disrespectful. I will never call this location again, and only hope that neither of them are the managers.

Needed tires. They quoted lower than a few other places and could tell me my final cost, all fees included. I was able to get the tires an hour later, and that was that!

Took my vehicle in for a tire repair. When I picked it up it had a vibration in the steering wheel. When I called to have them look at this new issue obviously caused by the repair they said they werent sure when they could look at it because they were really busy ??? I dont understand how that makes sense.

I dont even want to give them 1 star! If i had the option I wouldnt. This location is absolutely horrible! I brought my car in about 2 weeks ago to get winter tires on and ever since then something hadnt been right. The last 2 days there was a loud clunking noise coming from my driver side front tire. I had it looked at. The lug nuts were extremely loose!!! The person that actually fixed the problem said I was lucky my tire didnt fly off! This should NOT have been a problem to begin with! Seriously...its lug nuts! I was already second guessing myself when I made the appointment because of the problems I had with them previously. But I figured Id give them a second chance. They literally could have caused an accident because they were not doing their job diligently! When I called to explain the situation the lady that answered was extremely rude and it didnt seem like she cared. Not to mention she tried to make excuses! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! Absolutely dreadful.

Terrible brake job my brakes squeak very loud steering also shakes afterwards they also broke my brake sensors after not listening to me on how to remove them properly from brake pads. I took my car back to them they were not able to fix the brakes or replace my sensors. Incompetent and ignorant when it comes to working on foreign cars. Not willing to learn or listen. Ignorance is bliss!

Good price on tires, but couldnt balance 4 new tires. Tried multiple times, but failed with each attempt. Took my car to the dealer and they fixed the balance issue in one attempt.

Their professional staff is very friendly, easy to work with, and intelligent. One critque is a small delay in service, but I believe this to be attessed to them having lots oc customers and walk ins and is easily outwayed by their professional service. Two thumbs up

I took my car here for a few years. After the last outing, I have been looking for a new mechanic. My cars engine, brake and other lights were on. They were unable to diagnose the problem, and once they did, they charged me a few hundred dollars to fix it, yet all the lights are still on and the care still shakes and wobbles like before.The positive reviewer is correct: perhaps the negative reviews come from people who dont know much about car maintenance. Thats why we choose to go to a reputable business and have them take care of it. You hope you dont get ripped off because you have no control over whether or not what the person at the shop tells you is truthful or not. Theres no way to check. The issue with the WDM Tires Plus location is they take advantage of that and prey on it. Thats not reputable. Thats disgraceful. Customers trust you to tell us whats wrong with our car, and you take advantage of ignorance by charging more than you should.Never coming back. Never recommending.

Ive been going to Tires Plus for 5 years and have had great experiences in Ankeny (until a recent change in management), West Des Moines and the 14th St location. Id like to recommend that people remember that someone that didnt have the outcome they wanted will yell much louder than those that have had a great experience. Some of the reviews I just read were kind of ignorant so I imagine their lack of knowledge in the car field may have had something to do with their bad experience. Just my opinion though.

I have a complaint. I had a howling sound coming from my front end. Since I am just a driveway mechanic I wanted to get it diagnosed before I fixed it myself. I was sure it was a pinion bearing though in the front dif. I took it to the West Des Moines store because it was close. I shouldnt have because the google reviews for this store were terrible particularily the customer service. They came back and said I had a bad passenger front u joint and said they would fix it for 260. When I took it in I gave them no indication that I thought it was a bearing. Well problem is I just replaced that u-joint 6 months earlier. It was brand new and they said that was the problem!!!! I asked to speak to the mechanic and he said no!!! I couldnt believe it. 20 dollars later I took it the jeep dealership and they stated that U-joints were perfect and guess what, they stated I had a bad pinion bearing like I figured. I am just a driveway mechanic and I suspected this. These guys are supposed to be certified and they tell me a bad ujoint that was just replaced? Read the reviews on this store. It seriously needs some new management or something. I have always bought my tires at tires plus and even have a tires plus credit card. Because of this store, I am canceling my card and will never use Tires Plus again. Please, someone look into this store and fix what is going on there or more customers will be lost.

Actual price of tires and installation ended up being about $100 over the quote that I was told was a final price. After lots of arguing, they took off some of the useless crap and got it down to something like $60 more than the total quote. A few months later, one of my wheels nearly fell off because the lug nuts werent properly tightened.

Waited 3 days just for an oil change on my car with an appointment set up, called twice to see how my car was doing without any info from them on why it took so long. Probably wont be coming back.

Same as every other reviewer. They make you feel like a complete nuisance and when you speak to them, there are bizzare pauses in the conversation so you have to ask the question 3 or more times. Just go elsewhere.
