Dove the cashier was so incredibly unfriendly for no reason. Never have issues at ulta but won’t come back to this one.

Ulta is such a fun store to stop in when looking for beauty products. They have such a large selection from big name brands to even a few drugstore brands. Everything is organized nicely, its all kept orderly and clean, the store is bright and cheery, and the staff there to help with a smile.

What a fun place to shop. So many options... the staff was amazing! Austin helped me the items I was looking for, and Tawny (sp?) was so friendly checking me out! I will be telling all my friends and family about this location! Spent way to much there!

This is by far the best location in West Des Moines, they never disappoint. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. The store is spotless and all covid safety measures are in place and being executed. It has always been a wonderful experience. ASHLEY is the best Brow person they have. Have to call for appointments but still get their 5 star results.

Lorena did me dirty. messed up my address when i ordered something in store. and ulta customer service did me even dirtier by their lack of brain cells. can’t change the addy when i ordered five minutes ago. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Ulta employees are the worst not all but SOME! I kept getting followed around the store like if I was gonna steal something I had my baby in his car seat & his diaper bag. The lady that followed me around the whole store somehow made her way back to the front when I was ready to purchase my items. Finally, when I was about to leave I ran into DOSE of colors cosmetics right by the door I was so excited I asked if they had any more cosmetics besides the display. The lady said no ok cool? After finally making up my mind about what I wanted to get I was waiting in line because the girl in front of me who was returning some items left for a quick second. The same girl who was following me around doesnt even make eye contact & says to me rudely Are you going to buy something I used to work for Ulta & I would never approach a customer like that. Wouldnt have hurt to say Hey Hun! Do you need help with something? Every aisle at Ulta has cameras & in the back room you can see whats going on in the front I have no desire to steal I was just simply excited to go into Ulta with my baby. If I had known I was going to have that kind of experience I would have saved myself a trip. Buy online & save yourself a bad experience!

Ulta was busier than usual today so mistakes are acceptable but the staff needs to make the shopping experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. So when a mistake is made by a salesperson they should make the correct accommodations to assure the customer is satisfied, NOT tell the customer to get back in line after they were just in the line for 10 minutes. Ugh people.

Love this location, I feel very comfortable asking questions to workers there. Feel more welcoming when they treat you the best.

Waited over an hour past my hair appointment. Hired a babysitter and changed plans in order for this appointment to happen. I even said I was willing to go to a different ulta elsewhere but she insisted it was only going to be a few more minutes. Well after an hour and a half of waiting I had to leave. This was so incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful and rude.

Love the new Ulta Store! Anthony (Hapke) was amazing! He helped me with new styling products, new shampoo and conditioner...and also helped my daughter pick out a new flat iron and styling brush. He was so informative and patient in helping us decide what to purchase. Customer service is definitely #1 priority in this store! We will definitely be return customers!

Excellent customer service.

Location is great. I walked in, nobody greeted me. Tried on Kylie lip kit colors, 4 lip kits total. Several associates walked by me and looked at me but never asked me how I was doing or if I was finding everything okay. Found the one lip kit I wanted and they didn’t have it. This is why Brick and mortar doesn’t work, poor customer service and no inventory. I’ll stick to online shopping.

Love the staff! Theyre actually nice and seem to care about how youre doing and what youre looking for. I had a worker swatch about 40 lip liners on my hand just so we could find a match. We walked around the whole store, she was extremely helpful!

This is the best Ulta in Des Moines. The staff is fantastic. Super helpful, very sweet, but not too pushy. I live closest to this Ulta and come in fairly often, and several of the associates recognize me and will chat with me and exchange thoughts about products. Highly recommend this store.

Everyone is so helpful. Especially Ashley at the brow bar. Would totally recommend getting services at Mac and Benefit. Love this place!!

Amazing customer service! One of my items were left behind. I called them and someone was suppose to call me back the next day but didnt. I called back and explained and someone did call back this time and apologized for the inconvenience and said she found my product and was throwing in some freebies for the inconvenience. I get the today and it was a sack full of goodies! They have me do much it was doing it out the bag and then gave me another sample on my way out the door!!! This way a great way to show appreciation! Ill definitely be going back!

Saw something in their ad, went to the store and bought it. Exactly what I needed and got some lipstick while I was there. Very helpful staff.

I went there to purchase the Urban Decay Summer Solstice setting spray in the travel size. I was waiting in line behind another couple while there was no one at the register. After a woman finally showed up she checked them out and a second woman came to the registers to check me out. When she rang up the item, it was the full size spray. At this point the first woman was done assisting the other customers and they both looked at me and said Would you like to grab the travel size one? I agreed and searched again. When I came back and told them I couldnt find it, both of them said Yeah, we dont have that in stock. Why would two employees just stand there and watch me search for something if they dont have it in stock? Not going back.

I bought Lancome makeup here as Younkers closed and my foundation seemed like a little old as the oil was separated. Also some products were out of stock.

As a makeup artist I have to buy a lot of makeup in bulk depending on how large of an event I will be doing makeup for. I cant explain what a difference it makes to go to a store that CONSTANTLY has sales and coupons available for lashes, foundations, eye shadow pallets, etc. I not only save a ton of money, but their return policy is so great that I can actually return product I dont use. Highly recommend this store to not only makeup artists and women in the beauty industry, but to anyone with an interest in makeup. If youre not sure where to start when it comes to makeup, Ultas well trained staff will be sure how to help get started!!

I was so pleased with the amount of help they gave me at this store and their knowledge. All other stores have never given anything close.

Came in a couple weeks ago to get matched for a better foundation and the young woman who helped me nailed it :) The shade is perfect, these girls are always sweet and easy to talk to. Looking forward to my next visit!

Switching policies without any warning, ended up cancelling my pickup order, no flexibility . Wont be back here again.

Best. Store. EVER! Superior to Sephora because its not in a mall, it has a separate entrance. The point system is better at ULTA vs. Sephora too. $10 for a 10 minute facial? Yes please! Staff is always very sweet.

Had an issue with items displayed as being on sale and then they werent when we got up to the counter. Happened with multiple items across the store and I noticed it happened to other customers too. Glad I wasnt the only one who experinced this issue but the store seems a little disorganized. The customer service was decent and handled the situation respectfully

I just left a hair appointment after waiting 45 minutes and they kept telling me it was going to be a little while longer. Now Ive lost 45 minutes and still need to find somewhere to get my hair done.

Always short staffed it seems. Employees had a great attitude, as usual.

I had Stevie do my makeup. She worked really hard to do my make up for prom, and she took her time to make me look my best.

If you cant find what you came for no one makes it. Between Jordon Creek- Merle Hay and on 142nd by Buy Buy Baby. I think they sell every brand made.
