The seafood area I asked if they would be able to steam something for me he immediately gave me an attitude and did not want to do it. Not only that but he gave me old seafood from the back purposely.

Maybe 6 months to a year ago they recalibrated the self scan scales and messed them all up. Ever since the self scan machines have been having constant errors freezing the machine requiring a clerk to enter a code. For example, the scale on these machines is also the bagging area, so when you scan something and then place it in the bagging area, or place your personal bags in the bagging area the scale attempts to weigh it and the error occurs. Normally you have to prompt the machine to turn the scale on to weigh something, like by scanning a barcode on bananas or looking bananas up will activate the scale & you will be prompted to place the item on the scale; but in this case the scale is always on and if you simply scan something and place it in the bagging area its attempting to weigh it. Now Im just a regular guy with a little common sense whos observant and I figured this out easily and tried explaining it to managers and clerks but they either dont understand what I just said or they dont care.

My local store. Been shopping there for 30 years and have no desire to change. They are excellent!

I wish I knew how to describe the stank in this store. I think about how bad the entrance to this store smells before while I’m at work, in the shower and before I fall asleep at night. Gives me a good laugh when I think about it, five stars.

Manager named Lori refused service to my mom who was sending money through Western union. Stating that my mom address does not match the address on file. I explain to her that we have just recently moved and that her address will be update when her ID expired in 2021. I assure the young lady behind the counter that the address she saw on file is the current address ( we recently update the address in the Bloomfield stop and shop). The manager insisted that she can’t do anything because they has to follow the rules of western union ( no signs posted about that matter). I walked out very up set. I drove to the Stop and shop in Bloomfield and they did our transaction without any issue. If this was a western union policy we would have gotten the same response there. My mom has been sending money through western union for over 20 years. There is no reason to fraud your store or the western union. Smh you judge us in your store.

This store owes me a very sincere apology. Especially the cashier Audrey, she made fun of my disabilities and too make it even worse she said tell it too your mother. Now Im 61 years old and she is around that age. Wow Im thinking about legal action for emotional distress, character assination and the manager did not even talk too her as I had asked for one. Shame on you Audrey who are you too judge anyone??

I was there 4 time for the customer service during normal working hours and they’re always closed

5/5 personal service, 2/5 upkeep. Shoddy tiles and lazy or no upkeep of the racks of stock. To be fair, I last visited on a Friday afternoon where many employees were grabbing stuff for others.

Definite hometown feel and cozy, not the smallest store I have seen. The big setback for me was how spread out products of the same category are. Eggs in two locations? And as a vegetarian, is was not easy to identify where the plant based option are located.

I have never written a review on a store or restaurant before in my life but this store needs a horrible review. Last night, I put in an order for curbside pickup to get at 2pm-3pm today. I had very few items but cannot go into the store due to COVID so I figured this would be the best option for me and my family. I called the store at 2 letting them know I arrived and was outside ready for my groceries. They then told me they are running hours behind and my order would not be ready until 4. It’s a 35 min drive and I had to wait 2 hours for my few items. The woman named Julie who picked up the phone was rude and said there was absolutely nothing she could do. Maybe call and let us know sooner. THEN, after waiting TWO hours in the parking lot, I called to see if my order was ready and they said it was but didn’t have the decency to call and let me know. Worst customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. I hope this gets fixed because it’s unfair.

The store feels a little small. The isles are tight. But its a clean and convenient neighborhood supermarket.

This store really smells rotten! I hate shopping at this grocery. This is the closest grocery to my house and I willingly visit two or even three other distant groceries before I try this establishment!

Its okay as far as grocery stores go, no one likes grocery shopping and the east coast is way way behind on food delivery. Stoppies prices are too high, but otherwise it serves its purpose.

Since its a small location, it lacks the variety of bigger locations, but you dont have to walk a mile to get all your groceries. The store pick-up is also super convenient.

When I entered 2 employees asked me to leave (well told me) because I did not have a mask on despite me telling them I am exempt due to a medical condition per the executive order. They said they didnt care and I had to leave. The manager was called down and discussed with me and apologized for the way it was handled and sent me on my way to continue my shopping. As I was checking out she again approached me and asked if anyone else said anything to me. I told her they did not and thank you. She said she spoke with the employees involved and would ensure the remainder of the staff would be educated on this topic.I just want to say thank you for the professionalism that she handled the situation with.

The best grocery store period

As a family we regularly shop at Stop and Shop. We find their produce generally to be great. The location I visited today was in West Hartford. I feel the Granby location was larger and better arranged. I picked up a few items on clearance and was out quickly.

I like Stop and Shop because you receive gas rewards.

It always been a good stop & shop. I just stop here to grab some snacks drinks for our long travel. They had a fast stuff. Well organized shop and clean as well.

First time at this S & S and it was a very pleasant experience. There was an issue with the price of an item and the man in the meat department was very helpful. Cashier was very friendly as well. This store is not as big as other S & S s but I will definitely return to this store.

Nice clean place, fresh produce. Meat selection was really good for a smaller store. Customer service was good, interaction with employees was nice. Will definitely go back to this store. They have free books offered at the exit of the store. They are on shelfs as they exit.

This store would get 5 stars if they had cart corrals in the parking lot. Theres really not even a convenient place to leave your cart near the exit door. People end up leaving carts all over the parking lot. Otherwise great store. I shop here often. Good produce, lines arent usually long even when busy.

Much better experience than the larger Super Stop & Shop stores - easy to get in quickly and grab what you need. While the store is on the smaller size you can still find almost anything you need. The recent remodel has made the store more appealing and it appears they have been working hard to become more competitive on price. The rotisserie chicken salad at the deli is a must buy.

Absolutely horrible what has happened to this Stop and Shop. Ive been coming here for many years and this used to be a great little store, but lately it has been declining at an alarming rate. Current store manager is just useless. I dont even bother going to their service departments such as deli or seafood because the lines are just too long. That deli manager NEVER does anything. Whenever there is a line at the counter and people need help she just grabs her shopping cart and runs away. It does not matter to her how few people she has working there, she just doesnt want to do any work. Last week I was shopping there after work to pick up a few things quickly, and there were one or two people working in the deli desperately trying to keep up with a line of 10. Most people waited for more than 20 minutes and left without getting anything. Lines at the registers are even worse. It doesnt matter how many people are waiting there are only 2-3 registers open at any time. It has been one bad experience after another for about a year now. Any time I complain about something to the managers, nothing ever changes. If you want a good shopping experience go to another store.

I love this supermarket normally shopping expererience here is really nice, but the store should pay attention to customer service training specially to people at the deli kiosk that they get annoyed really easy (if you ask for a lot of stuff).

I have to say I really liked this grocery store. It is very similar in set up to a Whole Foods or other nicer grocery stores. It is not a huge market so selection is limited but not so limited that I couldnt find what I needed. I am not crazy about the entrance and exit to the store and location of the shopping carts, its a little confusing, but once inside the store is nice and relaxed and easy to get around.

Wherefore a convenience store? That which we call a rose would seem just as sweet... its actually quite well lit, the staff are courteous, and well located. What else can you ask for?

Has the basics, but not a good variety...for example no pumpernickel bread.

I have shopped at this store for over 20 years, and have found their produce department to be far better than other stores in my area. Also they have the latest hours, closing at midnight all but Sunday. Their deli department also has a large selection of pre sliced pre packaged needs and cheeses so that anyone can simply pick up a pack of something theyre likely to need or like rather than wait for it to be custom cut by one of the employees.

This Stop & Shop is nice and organized. Very nice store and employees.

This is the closest grocery store to me the past few years and I have used them a lot. Really like that they have a good amount of self checkout machines which helps you get in and out of the stores ASAP. One negative is the smaller size of the store/very narrow aisles. It can get very crowded very quickly so I usually try to plan my visits on off peak hours.

Smaller than average, but well-stocked and easy to maneuver. Staff are generally very friendly and the store is clean. Deli counter is ample and they offer a full service butcher, although its somewhat hard to notice. They also now stock DArtagnan meats when you want a treat. Good selection of organics and produce is generally very nice.

Its no Super Stop and Shop. The people who work here are awesome. The selection of many staples is limited, but there is a great deli, and great seafood selection. In the summer theres a funky smell that greets you at the door.

My only problem would Stop & Shop in West Hartford is they didnt have smoked neck bones which I came down here for I dont want to go to Park Street thats where the guy in the meat department one to send me if I wanted to go there I would have went there I come here other than that not getting what I wanted when I came here my experience in Stop and Shop was very fine the cashier was awesome shes awesome I went through fine everythings fine only thing I didnt get what I wanted there stores clean the The Help the people that work there very nice to you and helpful Jenny was helpful I got her name

Annoyed. Product on end cap with sign above on sale. Im sorry the produce department cant put the correct item under the sign. I grabbed what I thought the sign represented. At the register it apparently was wrong because discount did NOT come off. Front end representative went flying to produce to prove me wrong. Produce guy pulled item way far from the end cap stating this is it. Front end rep headed back to registers. I turned around and stated are you going to ask produce to put the correct item under the sign? He mumbled at me and almost ignored me until I turned around for a second time. Customer service poor.

Stop and shop is very overpriced and the worst part of this store is that you must be careful and check the dates on products. I have found many items on the shelf that are expired or only a couple days until expired. Also it is ridiculous that the amount of money they charge for items there and i have never been able to go in and out quickly because they only have 3 or 4 lanes open and self checkout with the new system is a nightmare to deal with. Worth the extra time and gas to go to big y in torrington

Seeking the foods that we people wish is easily found at Stop &Shop. But of course, the current situation is a detriment to the market these days. We hope the issue will be resolved soon.

Whereas this particular store is located in West Hartford, in a significantly rich income area, I know for a fact that items on sale at store on New Park Ave in Hartford are at lower price that same item on sale in West Hartford, usually by 10 cents. But if youre on Social Security 10 cents can make or break you when you need food.

This is not a Super Stop & Shop. No pharmacy, Dunkin. Smaller store with tight isles. Fine grocery store, just dont expect the newer typical store.

Its nice (and convenient for me) but, its a little small, so everything is kinda crammed in there.

Pretty Standard Stop & Shop, not a Super Stop and Shop but nicer and better kept than some of the others Ive been to. They have the Scan-It scan barcode readers(with a pedigree that starts on Long Island) for self scan and check out, which is a pretty cool system.

Normal grocery shopping -- nothing unusual. Some sales along with good selections.

Twice as pricey as Aldi, half as good as Whole Foods. Great rotisserie chickens though.

The store is really ruined down and outdated. One of the biggest problems that I found in this particularly small location is that the prices listed on the shelves dont come up the same at the register/checkout. Every visit I am experiencing this. AND I get a hassle by the checkout clerks.Many times on Sundays - I find that the shelves get bare.Hoping they tear it down and start over.

This place needs a remodel. They recently put up a grand opening sign up but as far as I can tell, they havent done anything inside. Also, the place is a dead zone for cell phone service.
