Great customer service, clean store and nice varieties of ice cream. I had the salted caramel, it was delicious but a little too sweet for me. The waffle is not sweet, so it balances perfectly. The only issue I have was that the waffle was made with so much baking soda, that you could taste it. Maybe a bad batch. I will definitely visit again, to try the other flavors they have

I am very disappointed. They now only make 2 flavors in front of you and all the other flavors are in a freezer pre maid. My ice cream was pre maid in the freezer and when I had some it had ice in it and was not creamy and smooth like it would be if it was made. My cone was also not warm and tough. Very bad idea that they went to pre maid ice cream, and hopefully won’t lose customers because of this.

I bet this place was great pre-covid. The ambience is on point and the plants were a nice touch. Unfortunately youre not allowed to sit anywhere but thats reasonable. The menu is a bit difficult to find if youre new. I ordered the vanilla bourbon ice cream and it was definitely very boozey. Almost a little too much booze compared to vanilla, the creaminess was lost and it melted fast. The flavour became almost entirely alcohol. I didnt hate it though. The texture and underlying flavour leads me to believe their other flavours are worth a try, so Ill probably give them another chance and try again. Definitely dont order the vanilla bourbon for your kids though!

This is a fun little shop that needs to tighten up operations. The layout is odd so that you have a long line down a tight space. Once you order, you have to walk by everyone waiting to order and the counter to pick up your order. The options are varied enough, but not many base options and because of the layout, hard to decide how to customize while in line. The ice cream is rich and flavorful. The quality of ingredients tastes good. Liquid nitrogen ice cream is a fun and memorable experience. Overall, Im not sure the cost and experience solicit multiple visits though.

I think they forgot to add any flavoring to the vanilla ice cream. It just tasted like milk with a ton of sugar in it. I love sugar so I don’t mind super sweet things but if I wanted to eat straight sugar I could have stayed home! Not sure if someone just screwed up or if that was what they meant to do. Even my daughter and her friend were disappointed, first time I’ve seen kids not want to finish ice cream.

Very disappointed, mainly because I thought a place called Milkcraft would have great milkshakes. They don’t serve milkshakes. (According to the employee who helped me, I’m not the only one who thought the name of the business was misleading.). The ice cream was just so-so. Fairly tasteless, actually. The final complaint is that the plastic spoons they provide are so flimsy that it was hard to eat the ice cream, since the spoons bend with only the slightest pressure.

The ice cream was good but I got charged over $7.00 for a single scoop and the board said $5. It’s good but it’s not that good. Two stars for decent ice cream but feeling utterly ripped off. $5.00 a scoop already seemed like a splurge.

No doubt the location of this place is so perfect..just in the middle of West Hartford beside all the great restaurant and ice cream made of liquid nitrogen is what attracts the crowd here. You will see big lines when you are there always. We have had the red velvet and the cookie dough. The red velvet was great with the chocolate chips in them but however they were not at all organized and had no idea for whom the order was and was completely confused. But the ice cream was good! When we went for the cookie dough, we wanted to try it as it was famous. You think they would prefer consistent quality but no looks like they ran out of the liquid nitrogen and our ice cream was more liquidy and tasted weird. When we came home and freezed it, it was good. They should maintain their quality. Also I have seen people throw away their Ice cream alot, I could think of two reason why! One being it is too sweet and second I think one scoop quantity is too much for the people who throw it away. Probably they should consider a smaller scoop then the small one they have so that there is less wastage and people can enjoy the ice cream as well!

You have got to try Milkcraft! This is the creamiest ice cream ever. They are churning it and freezing it with liquid nitrogen in front of you. You will see a line out front and think to yourself, man, thats not worth it. But, youd be wrong! They make a fresh bubble waffle cone in front of you too. This is all put together and served piping hot. Ive never had a warm ice cream cone. My daughter had the milk and cereal, Skye had the toasted marshmallow and I had the bourbon breakfast. All rich and creamy, and taste evolution.

If you dont want something super sweet I recommend the milk & cereal flavor. Its not too sweet and it tastes like subtle vanilla icecream with a rich milky taste. I personally dont like my icecream too sweet and I found the blue cookie too sugary. The waffle cone is good, they make it fresh and the whole store smells like waffles. The ice cream has a unique rich thick taste and texture because of the nitrogen infusion. The wait time is a bit long (20-30 minutes) but its worth it!

Once our orders were taken it didnt take long at all until we were out the door and enjoying our ice cream. The bubble cones!? AMAZING! What I thought would be like a crunchy waffle cone like many other places would be was actually a soft, delicious waffle only to be enhanced by the flavor of the ice cream of your choosing. Would give a 0 star review if I could. Why is their ice cream so salty? I had to toss the ice cream because it was way too salty. Did they mix up the salt and sugar quantities in the recipe? Is this their way of making you buy a $2.50 bottle of water? Also the staff is super disorganized. We had to wait as they restocked their cash register with $1 bills so they could give us change for the water bottles they made us buy. Store was loud and they kept spilling liquid nitrogen over the counter, and on the register. I had to place my order through a cloud of fog.

Delicious ice cream! I would have never thought you could make ice cream with nitrogen. The ice cream was so creamy and velvety and every item in the menu was so unique and different from each other it was so hard to choose! I ended up getting the red velvet and it was so good. Its not very expensive either, I had a group of 4 people with me and 2 waters and 4 cones were only $42. Well its an ice cream place, with a long line. You can wait upwards to an hour (My visit on a Sunday afternoon took about 20 min). First impression of the place is that its very trendy, the inside is filled with porcelain tiles and wood with gray and black tones. The air is filled with a waffle smell as they are forming fresh bubble cones. The ice cream is made to order so thats what the line is about, this isnt a quick stop at Ben and Jerrys for some scoops. Its all made from Milk and Liquid Nitrogen. Ice Cream is good, but it didnt blow my mind... possibly because I went the safe route and ordered a Milk and Cereal (Vanilla with Fruity Pebbles). If I am able to go again ill try something a little more extreme.

I went here TWICE for their bubblecone. A warm egg waffle wrapped around unique ice cream flavors, how could I say no to that?? The first picture is of their cookie butter blue flavor, a rich cookie butter with cookie crumbs on top! My only complaint is that my mouth was definitely blue for a while after I had it... The second picture is of their milk and cereal with fruity pebbles. The perfect amount to split between two, it was just the sweet treat I needed. I also tried their dragon balls, which is the popular cereal balls in liquid nitrogen. I had fun taking a couple of dragon’s breath puffs, but it’s probably a one time experience for me. The cones came in around $9 each, and I would definitely recommend it if you find yourself in West Hartford!

The ice cream was covering the outer dish and began spilling on my khaki shorts. The server then watched me as this was happening . She then gave us the red velvet dish and slammed it on the countertop. She slammed it so hard the topping fell on the countertop. She witnessed this happening and proceed to do her job . Very RUDE ! I am regular customer who goes there at least once a week with my son. I do not plan to return to this location . Poor customer service and food quality was a disappointment! The money spent was not worth the product nor experience . NEVER AGAIN!

Milkcraft serves a smoother/ creamier quality ice cream than their more conventional competitors (Ben and Jerrys, Carvel, etc). The company uses liquid nitrogen to produce their ice cream rather than the usual freezing method. This allows them to create a smoother ice cream than your typical brands (this is accomplished by significantly reducing the size of ice crystals in their ice cream by instantaneously freezing it with liquid nitorgen). They also make fresh batches of their hot fudge and whipped cream on site every morning. The quality of the ice cream and bubblecone have a noticeably different texture and flavor. The fresh whipped cream and hot fudge are also a great addition. Their ice cream is an experience thats definitely worth trying for its high quality and rich flavor. That being said my only reservation with Milkcraft is their pricing. When adding toppings like hot fudge and whipped cream it comes out to be $13 a cone ($10 for the preset toppings). I find that to be a bit pricey for ice cream so I likely will only go on special occasions or to show someone who hasnt been before. Thanks for reading

The prices were pretty outrageous ($4.95/1 Scoop; $6.95/2 Scoops; $8.95/3 Scoops; $7.95 for Bubble Cone w/1 Scoop; $6.95 for Creme Bun w/1 Scoop)While waiting for our ice cream we were told we needed to make room for others to get in line. The place is very small and there was no other spot for us to wait.My wife and I ordered just 2 Scoops of PB&J with Roasted Banana. The picture below is exactly what we got. We saw others walk away with their bubble cones and saw they almost exactly the same amount. After asking if we had gotten the correct amount for what we ordered, the girl didnt even look at our cup before saying yes and turning to do something else. The taste was okay, but it did melt quickly and the banana piece we had got with it was a half slice only 2 inches long.I would not recommend going here.
