Tim I believe is the manager. Awesome and thorough guy. Took his time to explain everything and pricing. The manager makes this place great. He was polite to old ladies and veterans and clueless me.
My honey and I have come here and no where else because the owner Mark treats u like family, hes caring, nice and thoughtful. He always tells u the truth and cuts out the bs. Our whole family uses them. We called the other day out of the blue our car was leaking so bad so we called and he told us to bring it right in and he gave us a loaner because we work every day split shifts so I have to have a vehicle. They dont make u pay for the loaner either, that is what makes Midas our go to car place always because they treat u with the upmost respect, like family and their prices are very reasonable. Thank you Mark for another job well done.
Well workers were amazing. How ever dint have my tires so had to go back to have them put on....waited again for another part they ordered....that didnt come in at the same time as my tires....but got my sticker YAY just took alot of time
Very reasonable prices, quality work. Depending on who you talk to, customer service may vary.
Ive set up a Saturday 10am appointment on their website. Never got a call back when I got an email that Ill be getting a call in 30 mins. When I called the shop to follow up, they said they did not received any emails.Worst off, they are not even open on Saturdays. Please change your business hours here. My mistake is that I planned my weekend around this appointment already. The person Ive talked to on the phone was pleasant and very apologetic though. So I might come back and try them out again next time.
An older shop, but has a very pleasant and experienced crew. Would definitely recommend service here
I cannot say enough about how great this Midas is! The employees are all so nice, very helpful & extremely knowledgeable, especially Mark!! They dont do anymore work on your vehicle than is necessary & are very honest. I have been coming here for a little over 2 yrs & I wont take my car any place else!
Great people Bob is honest and treats people right been going there for years like a second family
Very kind folks..very helpful
Most of the time the work is good I had a few mishaps but they have a loaner car and the work gets done for a decent price.
They overcharged me by more than an unfair amount. I told Mark, I’m assuming the master mechanic, that my brakes are acting up and it needs a replacement. He suggests an evaluation. 30minutes later he calls me saying that my problem is the brakes, no kidding.Continues to quote me $550 for ONE brake replacement on the the rear left side - rotor, caliper and pads. Anyone who has done this replacement before knows the parts alone cost around $160.If you’re in need of work done on your vehicle look for any of the local shops in the area.
My wheel lug nuts were never tightened and my tire fell off shortly after having my brakes inspected.
Midas is the only place I bring my car. Great people, no nonsense business.
Straight to the point, honest, fast, flexible, and very nice people. The shop looks like hell but when you dont judge you find yourself with more friends, friends who are willing to help.
Squeezed me in for a quick inspection before closing. Would reccomend them.
Bob the Manager really knew what he was talking about
Mr. Mark the owner is very professional and helpful, everything that he told me happens, and the service quality was great.Plus they loan me a car to go back home.I recommend.
So, it was the end of the workday toward the end of the month and I stopped in unannounced to ask for a state inspection. I fully expected to be laughed off the lot, but they got me in and on my way in under 20 minutes. So what if the waiting room looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a while? Staff wore masks and were friendly and efficient. Next time, Ill make an appointment so Im not the demanding white lady (I wont say Karen).
In and out in 2 hours...tire swap..guy upfront was friendly.their was a lot and I mean a LOT of swearing I would not recommend bringing your children.besides that not a bad visit
Reasonable price... I got my Camry front brake pads and rotors replaced the other days and they only charge me $135 for the labor.
Went here a out a week ago, for my serpentine time belt, they gave me a quote of 154$ .. I have been a Westbrook resident for 20 years. And I will suggest anybody needs their vehicle worked on bring it to Bernies auto shop Main Street Westbrook
Straight shooters and work with you on what needs to be repaired. Appreciate the loaner car! Made the whole experience a lot better.
Wonderful customer service. I love them
Always there with a smile
I had a great experience here. I went by myself and it was clear the whole time that they genuinely want what’s best for the customer. Service was quick and the people were knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. I will be going here for everything from now on.
Having the owner in the shop is a big plus. In my time waiting for an inspection I observed several people being helped out; including one of them who had a simple fix that didnt require payment. Good people here. I do my own repairs, but if ever in a jam I would consider bringing my car here.
I visited 6 different mechanics in southern Maine and ask for the estimated cost for some minor brake repairs. Prices ranged from $700 to almost $3000. I knew I was being overcharged so I denied all their offers, went to Midas and they gave me a much more reasonable cost of under $500. They did the repairs fairly quickly and had me back on the road quick. I have gone back to them a few times now for oil changes, transmission fluid, etc. I have had no problem with them and am very happy with the services I received. I will continue to go back here.
Stop in to have them give me an estimate. Worker tells me to wait a minute for the owner/manager. No problem. Owner comes into the waiting room...Me: Do you have time to take a look at my truck and give me an estimate to put two pieces of tailpipe on?Owner/Manager: A dual exhaust for that truck is $700-800.Me: Oh, you must have misunderstood. I only need two pieces of tailpipe, not an entire system.Owner/Manager: Its $700-800.Me: (incredulous) Youre going to charge me the same amount whether I want a full dual exhaust system or just two foot-long pieces of tailpipe put on?Owner/Manager: Yup.What else do you need to know about a place/person?
Took my car in for a diagnosis and 2 hours later they had repaired the exhaust leak. Great service and fair price. Thanks again.
Great service, great people. Happy every time, they also rent cars here.
I called to get price quotes for tires and services. At first he was nice but then said if I was just shopping around he was busy, but if I was legit then I should just come by and he could help me out. Frist of all, that was incredibly rude customer service. Secondly, as a consumer trying to decide where to best spend my hard earned money for necessary vehicle maintenance, I would be a fool not to research who has the best prices. As it turns out, not only do they have bad customer service, they dont have the best prices for services either.
Bill and Bob are absolute pros and deliver a remarkably high level of customer service. I found myself in an emergency situation involving my vehicles TPS and they handled my problem with empathy and sincere concern. That is a rare find. I am forever grateful.
A garage you can trust. Great welcoming staff. They have payment plans and free use of their vehicles when they have yours to work on.
I came here the first time for a new muffler and inspection. The work was done fast and the price was right. We have used them several times now and never had any problems.
My check engine light came on. I suspected it was an issue with the gas cap (the one I had was worn out) so I replaced the gas cap but the light did not go off. I took the car into Midas to diagnose the issue (for which the fee is $70). I was told there was a crack in my evap cannister and was quoted a $1,100 repair. After searching the average cost of this repair ($400-750), I took my car to my regular mechanic. He scanned the vehicle and did a smoke test. He found no leak whatsoever and determined that the light was a History code, meaning nothing was currently wrong with the car but something had been wrong (my gas cap, as I suspected).Midas misdiagnosed my check engine light (based on what, I do not know), and then quoted me and overpriced, unnecessary repair that would not have solved the issue. I have no idea what made the Midas employee say there was a leak/crack, my trusted mechanic could not find even a slight leak anywhere. If I had trusted him and done the repair, I would have paid $1,100 dollars to fix a problem that wasnt even there.
Came for an inspection, they got me in and out, no problems
I have gone twice and twice I was impressed by their straight forward and honest answers. They are our new mechanics going forward; I highly recommend them.
Every single time I go here... its fast, its friendly and its done right.
Always great customer service
The staff was so helpful and friendly . As well as kept my budget in mind. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience!
Paid for state inspection. Was told I needed to replace a part and then they would put a sticker on it. Replaced part and they installed sticker as promised. Problem is that theycharged me a second time. Not happy about that.
Only take your car hear if your interested in taking up biking full time. I had my intake manifold replaced hear and 6 months later it needed to be replaced again. When I took it back they insisted that it wasnt the manifold (two other mechanics confirmed it was). Unknown to me after inspection they left the antifreeze cap off and closed the hood. My engine overheated on the drive home. Car engine was never the same.
Very friendly but the price is remarkably high. The online price for brakes for a nissan versa was around $60 and two hours labor would make them around $200 total. They wanted $560 for rear brakes. I call shenanigans.
Overcharged and taken advantage of for the dilemma I was in, blew a wheel bearing on my trailer and charged me 318$ for a 25$ part and a maximum of a 10 minute fix. 225$ labor, absolutely ridiculous.
Excellent service center and very fair when compared to other auto mechanic shops.
I went in on 12/28 for an inspection, oil change and to replace a bulb in both my passenger side blinker and the headlight. They charged me parts & labor but didnt replace either bulb, and as of today (1/12) my car is showing oil life at 15%, which means they charged me for an oil change but didnt actually do it.
Great shop ...great service
Do not take your car here the owner is rude and they cant get their heads straight... Someone should call OSHA as there are many Violations!!!!
DO NOT HAVE ANY SERVICE DONE HERE.I had all four brake pads/rotors replaced. Two months went by and I went in for an oil change and noted that my brakes were getting noisy. They told me that a rear caliper was sticking and that they would warrantee the pads/rotors. I got the caliper at cost and they put it in. While I was waiting for them to replace the caliper I went to look at my car. They had the wrong side taken apart. When I pointed it out they laughed it off. I left and the next day noticed noise coming from the side they accidentally took apart. When I called them about it they were confused. I was told to bring it over. So I stopped over to set and appointment, I was told to just come back. I came back to drop it off and was asked again what the problem was. I asked them if they should write down the chain of events and my complaint. They wouldnt. I left a note taped to my dash indicating what needed to be done and asked them to please look at the side they took apart but didnt replace.I picked up my car and was told they didnt hear anything and to come back if the noise came back. I drove off with it grinding and squealing worse than when I dropped it off. I am not going back there to try and correct the problem Im going somewhere who will listen to my concerns and fix the issue, not just jerk me around and make me waste my time away from work going back to them multiple times.Dishonest, poor work.
They helped me so much, fixed my van well under what every one else was going to charge me and let me use one of their cars while my van was being fixed so I wasnt with out a car..thank you
They were so helpful...
I am not a person to complain about things but my experience with them was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. My car inspection sticker was expired and I made appointment online. I received an email that said someone would contact me the next business day. Unfortunately no one contacted me. I thought perhaps i wrote my phone number wrong but i checked and it wasnt wrong. Anyway, I went 2 days later in person and told them I needed a state inspection sticker. The gentilmen was very friendly; he got my phone number and told me he would give me a call. After 25 minutes he called and told me I needed a new front passenger side tire and something was leaking. I was so busy I couldnt hear him very well, but I asked how much would it cost totally. He said $500 something. I said ok fix it and I will come and pick up my car at 5pm. When I went to pick up my car, a technician greeted me. I told him I was there to pick up may car. he just told me how much I need to pay, I paid, and he told me that you are all set. He didnt explain what they did. They didnt give me my old tire. They didnt show me the parts they replaced. I checked the invoice and it said; exhaust pipe, flange gasket and 1 tire cost $554 which i found a little pricy. I went outside to find my car. Inside I found the old sticker in pieces in my car. There was a dirty shoe print on my rug and also they had forgotten tools in the car. But here is no car key! I grabbed the tool to give back them and also I asked for my car key. He seemed tipsy. He struggled to find my key. I saw technicians having a drink. I left from there paying $554.00 but with suspicious feelings. Did those drunk guys really fix my car or did they make a bigger mess?or did my car really need a new part. The last think I have to say is that when I had brought my car to them, my check engine light was on and when I left it was still on without explanation. no one was rude, but I feel robbed. I dont feel like I got what I paid for.
Over
Always great.
Delightful and honest.
Great place to do business
$318 to change a wheel bearing in a $200 trailer.
Always friendly and fast with me
Took a long time just for an oil change and was very expensivr
Knowledgeable and capable staff
Open until 6 and wouldnt do a quick oil change at 5:35. Unreal
Great services
Swore at me, no respect for customer, was going to adjust headlights 20 minutes later I get there and they refused, and basically told me to go blow off, terrible
Great manager
Rude on the phone.
Up front and a great business, willing to work with you! Not the least expensive or the most expensive repair shop. Somewhere in the middle, very fair and up front and honest.
