Dateline 4 Oct 2018Went there today with my wife and 96 year old Mother in Law to celebrate a wedding anniversary with a sweet treat. Great place with a nice outdoor patio. Our mini chocolate cake was very tasty and the perfect size for three. If your near the Harp or Greenfield Lake Park, you need to check out Lydias Bakery. Shell be the one in the kitchen pushing out some awesome deserts.

My husband and I decided today was the day to try all the coffee shops in town we havent tried yet despite living here. So I hereby award Love Lydia the best coffee and pastries!! Our last stop and most impressed! Dig the vibe, dig the staff, dig the food and beverage thanks guys!! I highly recommend it :D

Love Lydia Bakery is overpriced (paid $19 for two mini muffins and two medium sized coffees). The service was also awful. Waited over 15 minutes for two coffees and the mini muffins. The staff saw us waiting outside in 90 degree heat with a dog and prioritized people that were ordering food. They didn’t even start on my coffee until 13 minutes into our wait.Wouldn’t recommend to anyone that’s looking for a decent cup of coffee or breakfast.

Made it to Love, Lydia this morning after anticipating its opening for months. The cafes blend of modern and southern rustic styles has a charm that makes you feel at home as soon as you enter. Lydias wide range of pastries (even on opening day) are each better than the next and will likely leave you happily ordering more than you planned to. Finally, expertly roasted coffee available in styles from the classics (house blend drip or espresso) to the exotic (Vietnamese iced), provide the artisan coffee experience with none of the pretentiousness. Love, Lydia will definitely be a regular stop for me.

Such a great place to join the neighborhood. It is quite peaceful sitting in a rocking chair on their porch. The coffee is great - not bitter or too strong - and the staff is genuinely happy to be at work. Cheers to a good selection of baked goods and a simple, non-overwhelming, beverage menu. Refined goodness at its best.

The cold brew coffee is the absolute best in Wilmington. Definitely the best I’ve ever had! Coffee cake, brownie, and key lime bar totally scrumptious. Awesome little spot.

Very cozy and trendy little coffee shop. Went with 2 others and everything we ordered was very yummy (coffee cake 🙌🏻)!Parking however was frustrating. Literally only 2/3 spots in front (You end up parking around the block and walk) also VERY limited seating inside. Would be perfect for one person and a laptop but trying to sit with friends didnt work and we ended up leaving quickly due to lack of seats :(Will be back in the future when they add some breakfast and lunch items and revisit.

Not really too interesting. Coffee was really awful, which is unforgivable at a bakery, especially with so many great local-ish sources for beans. Bakery was forgivable, I guess. There seemed to be a 40/60 split of “gluten free” options, which is... mostly a do over. Nicely refurbished space, but really nothing to recommend it. Hard to reach, expensive and, well... gluten free options. Right.

Went here this morning with my 5 year old niece Lydia. For obvious reasons, we had to try it out. Everyone was so friendly! We purchased gluten free banana bread, a pumpkin muffin, and a cinnamon roll; they were all delicious! My niece also ordered hot chocolate and the barista made a heart on top for her, super cute! The owner, Lydia even came out and introduced herself to my niece and made her day!! We will be back! Thank you for a great experience Love Lydia bakery!

Review №38

The coffee here is okay, the food wasnt very good. My experience wasnt very good. I came here with a friend and we placed our order, but they only gave us half our order, I guess they thought we were going to share a dirty chai latte and a cinnamon bun? Anyway, the place was not very inviting, nor was it organized, the employees were running around and everyone seemed confused about everything. After getting my dirty chai, it had a very distinct taste, it was overwhelming, but was not good. The cinnamon bun was really dry and not very warm. Not a fan, will probably never go here again.

Review №48

Seemed like a cute place that was highly recommended by a friend, only problem is that theres NO PARKING!!! (Except the 3 or 4 spaces on the street out front, which were occupied) If there is, we couldnt find it. Even the side street next to the business is a no parking zone. We would have loved to try it out, but after losing patience searching for a legal and reasonable parking place, we just decided to go somewhere else. It was raining this morning so we didnt want to get wet for a bite. Maybe well try it again sometime, but it seems like parking will always be an issue here, possibly due to the fact that the business is run out of what was previosuly a residence. Those front spots are right on 3rd st, so anyone who parks there needs to be careful anyway considering how people tend to speed on that section of the road.

Well we went.. ummm lets say we never made it to the door because there was literally No Parking !!! 3 spaces on street and so I figured around back maybe... no. All I found was Bennys bigtime pizzeria with bold towing letters... so lydia.. whats up with that?
