Just had maven for the first time and wow, it was amazing! The barista is extremely knowledgeable and was able to tailor my coffee to exactly what I like. They have so many specialty beans that are delicious on their own. None of these coffees need syrup or fancy additions, the beans speak for themselves. Really cute space, I’ll definitely be back!

Should have posted a picture of my gorgeous Red Velvet Latte, but I already drank most of it because it was so good :-) SUCH a cool spot! Caleb (hope Im spelling that right!) is so knowledgeable about the coffee, and he dealt with my 50 questions of how to best store it and (attempt) to make it as good as he does at home. Highly recommend -- this is officially my new favorite coffee spot in Wilmington!

One of the best coffee shops Ive been to! The coffee is great, and they even work with farmers in Colombia to get the best beans to roast. The barista I spoke with was super friendly, and was happy to explain everything about the coffee. I will definitely be back!

I am highly impressed with this little coffee bar. Being a bit of a coffee lover, I’ve drank coffee from one coast to the other and will seek out the best coffee shops in an area when I go to different locations. This coffee shop is top 2 on my list in the US and has stolen the spot for #1 in Wilmington. All of their coffees are top quality in taste but their signature blend has me coming back. I drive out of my way just for this place. Also my girlfriend absolutely LOVES the matcha here! Thanks for bringing joy to my tastebuds

Very impressed with the matcha latte I had. Got to chat with the owner a bit and his passion for his craft is so wonderful. Between seeing him work and the quality of my drink I can tell how much love he has put into his business. Highly recommend.

Im always in search of the perfect cuppa and have learned there are many in Wilmington (unfortunately, none in Leland). Maven hit a home run with the rich deep taste of the coffee, organic milk (i prefer to take my hormones and antibiotics separately and only when absolutely necessary) at just the right temperature to enhance its sweetness. Owner Nicholas gave me an overview of what makes the best coffee experience and his vision for his shop--a place for people to learn (vs. be engrossed in their laptops) and engage. Cant wait to take his coffee class and try the other blends he roasts. I will be back soon!

Maven coffee was an unexpected highlight of our trip to Wilmington. I’ve only had a pour over made with such care and precision from Seattle or Portland third wave shops. The beans are roasted perfectly to enhance and allow one of the most exceptional and distinct flavor profiles I have ever tried. Every step of the preparation process was tailored to the specific drying and roasting process for the bean, from temperature to grind. We tried the strawberry and the geisha and they were both top five coffees I have ever had. It is clear Nico is passionate and knowledgeable about his craft in a way that few are. It was an utter delight to visit Maven and I will visit every day that I am in Wilmington.

I love this shop!!! The hospitality and kindness in this place comes second to none- The owners are so sincere and friendly. The atmosphere of the shop is peaceful, modern, clean and inviting (and also esthetically pleasing for pictures). In regards to the coffee itself, all I can say is the QUALITY!! They truly serve the best specialty coffee with exquisite, unique flavors and carefully selected roasts. It’s 100% worth the price for the best coffee in town. Living in Wilmington for more than 20 years, I have invested lots of time into many of the amazing coffee shops in town. Maven Coffee is superior, in that they directly source their specialty coffee from an organic farm in their home town of Colombia. Each cup is prepared with expertise and educational thoughtfulness and served from the owners Nico and Diana.

The young couple behind the counter are two of the most inspired and kind coffee connoisseurs I have ever met! They are deeply passionate and endlessly well-versed in their art.
