Marissa was so helpful when it came to making a tough decision. My new insurance covers a lot but progressive lenses are never cheap. I found some beautiful Tiffany frames and was rightfully worried about the price.Marissa showed me all of my options and it turned out getting two pairs of back wall eyeglasses would have only saved me $30 and would have me switching back and forth all day.I was so pleased with her patience and ability to break it all down for me.I love my new glasses!

I cannot say enough positive about LensCrafters (Wilmington-Independence Mall) specifically the Manager Steve, and CoManager Tony and their team. They went way above and beyond to ensure that I had the correct prescription for my glasses. They turned a very bad experience at a local eye doctors practice into a positive outcome. Not only was the original script by the local eye doctor pratice wrong......it was way wrong, and so was their second script! How is that even possible! Steve & Tony arranged for me to see Dr. Walent III OD at The Eye Center (Independence Mall) at their cost to get a new prescription, even though the error in the scripts were the fault of local eye practice. The folks at The Eye Center got it right. I picked up my glasses today and they are perfect. Steve, Tony & team at LensCrafters went above and beyond ensuring my having the correct prescription. This speaks highly of their concern as well as LensCrafters concern for customer satisfaction.

Absolutely awful experience! I made an appointment and got up early dress two kids had to go to three different entrances to finally find a way into the mall to see this eye doctor Only to be told when I get there that they canceled my appointment because they couldnt text my home phone number! They then told me they would fit me in and made us wait for an hour taking every other person that came in first! I will never come back here!

I was hit by a huge wave breaking my glasses and dislocating my shoulder. I called Lens Crafters in Wilmington, NC on a Sunday July 4th. They told me they could have my prescription ready in a hour. I went picked out my frames. They had me all set and out the door in under 30 minutes. Sam and Steve were a great help. If you find yourself in the same situation as I was then I highly suggest Lens Crafters in Wilmington.

Stopped in to get my glasses fixed, they were courteous and quick. They did the repair in a few minutes and did not charge me. Next time I need glasses I will go to lens crafters.

Good customer service but shady upselling practices. I have good insurance but my employer self-insures. After seeing my insurance I am told the RayBans I was looking at ($200 Frames) would be +$700 which is insane. I had to be fairly forceful with them to get the unnecessary options down to+$660. I was told these were as bare-bones as it gets but after speaking with others in the industry I am guessing I was way over charged / told options were required even if they were optional.

I had an issue with my glasses which was taken care of without any issues. They were very professional and fair at Lenscrafter and will continue to go there.

I have used lenscrafters a number of times over the years and had a very good experience at this location. Im looking forward to new glasses.

I have just recently purchased a pair a glasses from this store. I brought my prescription from an outside doctor, and I can definitely say that this place has the largest variety of glasses out of any other local store. The salespeople were very helpful and gave me plenty of space when I was looking for frames. Very low pressure! And when I came to pick them up in less than a week they were very patient and helpful in making sure they fit well. This place had very good deals and great service! I will definitely be coming back whenever I need a new pair of glasses!

Great customer service. Had an issue with my prescription and they redid my exam for me. Bought a pair of progressives in a style that I liked but wasnt really a good fit and with their 30 day satisfaction guarantee I was able to try them, see they werent a great fit, and bring them back and get a perfect pair. I was in the middle of a beach day, when a wave crashed over me, pulled my hair forward, and bent the arm of my BRAND NEW PRESCRIPTION RAY BANS. I loaded everyone in the car, and drove to this LensCrafters on the verge of tears. I had gotten my Ray Bans at a LensCrafters in Ohio, but the gentleman that helped me was very reassuring, cleaned them, AND fixed them in a matter of minutes!!! I am forever grateful for him and LensCrafters in Wilmington!! Thank you so much again!!!

I was on vacation in wilmington nc and lost my glasses in the ocean. I went to LensCrafters at 8 pm and picked out frames and they had my lenses in stock and were able to have my glasses ready before noon the next day! The customer service was awesome and I couldn’t be happier to have my glasses back! Highly recommend!!! Thank you LensCrafters!!!

Have used Lenscrafters for many years and always glad I keep using them. May not be the cheapest, but the service and post-purchase support provided greatly makes up for it.

Bought a pair of glasses in March 2018 and paid $396 with my insurance .The glasses flaked off some of the coating in the first several weeks. LensCrafters replaced the lenses and said there was a defect. Fast forward to December and the glasses are scratched so badly I cant hardly wear them. Decided to just purchase another pair due to the frames wanting to always slide off. Went in to the store in the mall and picked out a pair I like. Now I find out they do not except my insurance and they want $406 for the glasses. I asked for some help on the price due to the fact that I had so many issues with the glasses that I had previously purchased. They said NO and just had a very poor attitude, a acted like it was my problem. Talked to the manager and district rep and they refused any assistance. All I ask for was a price match that I found online for $360. This is the 3rd purchase with LensCrafters and will be my last. Poor quality lenses, they should hold up better considering they had all the antiscratch protections. Ive been wearing glasses for 30 years and never experienced such poor quality.

Everyone is always very helpful ​and attentive. Gray is great at adjustments and I will not go anywhere in town except here. Ive purchased all my glasses here and the eye doctor next door is fantastic! I highly recommend them.

I am hoping to have better experiences in the future and/or others. Be aware of the glass coating; they peal off after a year of purchase. Also, scratched which it was suppossed to come with scratch protection. These happened to be right at the end of the warranty period. I used many glasses with coating and never had one that came off. Another thing was the representative did not warn me about the weight of frame when I selected at the time of purchase. When the lenses are added, it was heavy on my nose that changed the shape of my nose; left marks with dents. I bought a light plastic frame and transferred the lenses myself. You know they wont do that. You have to buy the frame and the lenses. They will not re-coating the surface, either.

After my husband had his glasses knocked off in the ocean this was the only place we could find that could send him home with glasses or contacts on Saturday of labor day weekend. Everyone we encountered here was absolutely as helpful and professional as could be. There were a few hiccups during the process ( at no fault of theirs) and they still saw it to the end and made sure my husband left with vision again.

What a joke. Went in to purchase glasses for my 14 year old and even with their “50%” off sale, they still wanted over $300 for just one pair of glasses. This company is full of crooks.

The eye doctor is wonderful patient and very kind.

I spent 800 dollars on lenses and frames. The eye dr assured me that he had my prescription correct. I put in my prescription for my glasses. The eye clerk told me I wouldnt be able to see out of my glasses but I told him I was certain the eye dr knew what he was talking about. Low and behold. The eye clerk was right and the eye dr wrong. I cant see out of my glasses at all! Money down the drain. This is the first time Ive gone to a lense crafters and the eye dr is independent. Not a good look for lense crafters. Ive reported them to the better business bureau and will be going to a different dr! Not sure how I can see clearly but my eye dr got my prescription wrong! Completely wrong at that!

I have called twice in the past 5 days to receive my prescription and both times when I called this LensCrafters they have told me they have my email and they would email me the information within the day. I have not recieved any email and now will be taking my business somewhere else.

Sadly this was the worst experience i have had with lens crafters eye exam department. My husband, son and i will be finding a new eye doctor. On a saturday i was not greeted, I stood at the counter while the receptionist finished her little drawing of a cat on a sticky note. I was then told they tried to call me to confirm insurance in which they never did. And was then told my insurance company was closed on the weeknds to confirm coverage. Its bcbs, they are NOT closed on the weekend. I actually called my insurance co when i got to my car, talked to a nice lady from bcbs. It was extemely disappointing. Such poor customer service. And now i will buy my lens/frames from someone else. We have used lens crafters for over 15 years. Never again.

We visit the location so much the employees in the Wilmington NC location are like family!
