This is my third order at Visionworks. The have a great offer of 2 pairs for $99. They take care of me professionally and promptly. I usually get my eye tests somewhere else, but they fill my needs for frames, lenses and service. I will definitely go back.

Had some insurance issues to sort out and Paul made many phone calls to correct the problem for me. Greatly appreciated the hard work to get the job done. Also, the selection there is good with frames of various quality. Seems like some of the higher end frames they have there are around $150-$170.

Visionworks did a great job helping my daughter and I pick out her first pairs of glasses! They were on sale, so we did get a couple of pairs. They came in quicker than expected! Very clean establishment, social distancingas much as possible with fitting glasses, temperature checks, I felt Covid safe. Great customer service! When the glasses came in, they were great with my daughter, fitting them perfectly. Of course, they are loose now because she wears them with her mask. A quick call yesterday, and Paul said to come in next week to have them fitted again free of charge! The only thing was that she didnt get an eye glass cleaner cloth with both pairs, the lady said they were out at the time, so she only got one. Hoping they have some in when we go get them fitted. I recommend them, particularly for children so the glasses are well fitted, and match the rx the optometrist next store(who was awesome) gave her!

I can’t wait to come get my other pair that I already have picked out and a picture of the tag on the glasses so when I came back I can show Theresa the picture and she can get me that second pair!!

I really had a great experience at Vision Works with Liz. I had shopped around for my glasses and found terrific prices here. Liz was very knowledgeable with a very welcoming demeanor. Liz knew I wanted 2 pairs so with the current sale, she worked out a great price. At Vision Works, I was able to get 2 pairs of glasses for the same price as one pair would cost at another store. Vision Works: Highly recommended!

I need to tell of my wonderful experience at Visionworks. I walked in and the friendly staff greeted me with big smiles and escorted me to a table. Brittany was a delightful young woman who went above and beyond for me. I have difficulty walking so she went around and picked up about 12 different frames for me to try based on the glasses I had on. She was ever so patient with me and giving me honest feedback on the different frames. Finally arriving upon a decision Brittany took measurements and tallied up the figures came in under what I expected. Then explained the order process and gave me an estimated date.To my shock they arrived 2 weeks early. When I went to pick-up and to my surprise for the 1st time in 3 years they were perfect, didnt have any adjustments to make and was able to see clearly up close and far away.I will be very happy to go back to Visionworks for future prescriptions.Karen Shaver

Bought a new pair of glasses here because they are one of the preferred providers for my vision insurance. Great initial customer service when looking at frames and ordering the glasses; Liz did a great job. I was notified by text when the glasses were ready to pick up; perfect. The disappointing aspect of the transaction was that I wasn’t given a cloth glass wipe with the new glasses. You expect after paying over a couple hundred dollars they would provide a free cloth to wipe your glasses. They don’t.

Will not be returning—Initially, I came in and informed them of my insurance package, and handed them my prescription. They insisted my insurance did not cover what I initially proposed. They ended up downgrading my frames, and charged me $70 over my initial co-pay of $10. After speaking with my insurance, I was actually correct on my plan—they just hadn’t bothered to look into it. I make $2.13/hr, you cannot abuse people’s finances like this! Visionworks refunded me the difference, and upgraded my lenses to my original request of what insurance would’ve initially covered. When I went to pick my frames up, the woman was short with me about the mishap, and neglected to bother giving me a case, or a wipe with my frames. When I asked for a case, she grabbed the closest one to her, an off brand version without a rag, and sent me on my way. I called today before I returned to swap the incorrect Guess case for what I should’ve received, the Calvin Klein. The man who swapped the cases out neglected any form of customer service, besides handing me the correct case. No apology, no greeting, no “have a good day”. For $450 frames, I suppose I expected more. Worst first glasses experience.

We come here, regularly for our vision needs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about products and individual insurance plans to help assist you with what is covered. Would have given five stars if a screw didnt come loose the second day my husband had his last pair. Could have been a fluke, but should have been secured.

When my husband and I arrived we were told to sit in the chairs and someone willsee us. They did not ask our name and how they could help. After 10 minutes someone asked us our name and what we wanted,pick up glasses or buy new glasses. I wanted a repair which they didnt much care about. BUY is the word that gets attention. I was in sales many years and every customer is important.

I was new to Visionworks, I didnt know what to expect, what I got was AMAZING! Anita helped me find the right glasses in the nick of time. I got them the same day, which was stellar. I came in two days later, just to get my frames adjusted and Ryan and Cindy assisted me very well. I will definitely be coming back to this location! Customer service was on point. Thank you guys!!

Good experience. My glasses were ready by the 7th business day. I didnt know about the get the second pair 50% off deal.I dont know if it was on a poster board-If it was I wasnt paying attention. But I did get mail from visionworks saying I could do that but it would have to be during the same purchase date of the 1st pair of glasses. So I missed out on that deal.I also didnt get a cleaning cloth. Which I usually get with a new pair but not sure if I was supposed to this time.

While i was talking to the employee on the phone, i was trying to exchange my glasses because they were done wrong and the lady that explained it to me, explained it wrong and i was confused so i called back and the lady said that she was also confused why i didn’t make the exchange because she thought that “i didn’t have enough money for it”, this is very rude and can be taken the wrong way. Her name was Lucinda and she also said “this exchange will now take up my time since you didn’t make the exchange before”.

I went to the Wilmington store today to get new glasses. Upon entering the store, I was curtly told to sign in. I said I had a few questions & again was curtly told just sign in, were all busy. There was one customer being helped while another woman & myself wondered around the store looking & trying on glasses. There were two other associates standing around doing nothing. I finally had enough & walked out. No customer service at all. Why would I want to purchase glasses from there.

Went because of the large selection of frames, and did find a pair I liked. However I was offered little help until I was ready to talk price. The woman I spoke with was rude and very unclear on what was going to cost what. On a student budget I have to be careful about these things. When I asked her to break down the total she got irritated, turns out she was only informing me of the high end options and her math put the price a fair amount over what it should have been. Although the correct price was reasonable, I decide to buy elsewhere because of my experience.

Went into the store to buy glasses this Saturday. Despite the fact that multiple sales reps were available I was not approached once in 20 minutes of being in the store, and so I just left. While I was in there I overheard the associates appologizing to another customer over the phone about not following up with them over their insurance coverage. At least I know now that their poor service was not just directed at me. If I could rate lower I would. Get your glasses or contacts from another place that will at least seem enthusiastic about taking your money.

This place has the worst customer service ever. I got glasses there, (2 pair) and my everyday glasses broke after a month. Took about a month for them to get the frames from the store in Cary, which then Paul tried to blame Cary for that mishap. I ordered new glasses online while waiting to get mine fixed from Visionworks and I got those shipped from China about a week after trying to get mine fixed. Seems a little odd they couldnt get their affairs in order before an online order and they had a week ahead notice. Still do not have my frames but supposedly they are in. Paul claims to have left a message a week ago but I did not get it. I got the feeling this was my fault also. Will not buy anymore there but if the ones I have now break again they will repair. I have spent the money so its their job to repair them. Just not dropping anymore money in this joint Had to give 1 star to post sorry

Really miss Ms. Diane!! Granite, April was very nice when I went in to pick out my new frames. But after 10 days, and I had to call myself to see if they were ready, and they were. (They didnt call me) After much excitement because one pair was sunglasses, I was really disappointed! They had the lens in the wrong frames. What I would wear as my regular glasses, had the darker lens in them. I looked at the lady and said this is not right. After she looked over the paperwork, she looked at me and said youre right, they got it wrong. I knew this already. My next comment was so do I have to wait 10 more days?! She said no, remakes are pushed to the front. I was very upset that I have to wait longer.It was always so nice to work with Ms. Diane. She is truly missed!!!

Purchasing the glasses went off without a hitch. Picking up on the other hand, with Anita was a horrible experience .Glasses - a license optician SHOULD check to ensure the glasses fit correctly because most clients have no idea how theyre supposed to fit . Anita simply handed them to me and asked feel ok?Sunglasses - The arm of the sunglasses was really loose (they werent when I bought them) I handed them back to her and said they were way too loose . She couldnt tighten them .So she said they didnt have another in stock and would have to order them . And id have to come back .So I asked why this wasnt caught before they called to tell me they came in . We only check the prescription. I asked if they check the hard wear . Her response NopeI explained my reasoning for waiting to pick up until both pairs of glasses and contacts were in (I live an hour and twenty minutes away) and that I was upset because making a third trip back at a later date was extremely inconvenient .She offered to mail them ... But I didnt want to take the chance that they too would have an issue . Additionally, who was going to adjust them ? I cant, especially not without any tools .I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THE PRODUCTS HARDWARE WOULDNT BE CHECKED BEFORE THEY CALLED TO SAY MY ORDER WAS COMPLETE .

Went to simply get the lenses changed in frames that I loved. They were supposed to call when completed. When I hadnt heard anything in 4 hours, they said it would be super quick, I called the store. The salesperson told me that they had broken my frames!! The two options they gave me were a refund or 40% new frames and lenses!!! They never once apologized and they werent even kind when speaking to me! Never going back and will tell everyone I know to steer clear of this terrible place.

Go see Dr. Marie Edling! She is the sweetest, kindest, most caring Eye Doctor in the world. She takes the time to diagnose the problem and she makes you feel so at ease. I havent seen anyone but her but the staff is so sweet and Im sure every other doctor there is great, too! Love you Dr. Edling!

(Review for Employee Diane) I was visiting Wilmington, NC from PA. I was out in the sea and lost my specs. It was a Sunday and I could not drive back to PA without my specs. I went to Vision works and met with Diane. She went out the way to help me. Her lab was closed and hence she could not get the specs the same day. She made a call to another lens shop and asked for their help in getting me a spec.The price was too high for me but she was able to ask for a few discounts and get me a good deal. I got my specs and was able to avoid a lot of hassle because of Diane.

One thing I hate having to do is go shopping for new glasses. One day at work I broke my frame beyond repair. I work in the car business so its hard for me to be able to find the time to do anything. The store was closing in 10 mins i had spoke to a truly exceptional person there name Cindy who said just come in and ill wait for you. Got there she let me take my time to find the right frames for my face even helping me look. She went above and beyond what she had to do. I really could not be more grateful for the service i got, my frames were ready very early the next day. Thank You Cindy for the help!!!!!!!

I went in to get my lenses replaced in a pair of glasses that i purchased there.The assistant that helped me was very rude.He said that he could not find my vsp insurance in the system.i was here just last year to purchase these glasses.i told him all info was the same as previous years.He got made and shredded my prescription and walked away.i think this is my last time here,i will stick with my eye doctor

The customer service was atrocious. The woman helping me choose frames only showed me the most expensive frames, and the deal she was going to offer me ended up costing nearly $500. I told her that I just wanted my prescription back (I had gone the the optometrist next door) and she told me that the WOULD NOT give it to me because I wasnt allowed to have it. She said that she wouldnt even write it down for me. Knowing what I know and being in the healthcare field, I told her that the prescription was actually mine and I insisted on having it back, as I was the one who provided it to her in the paperwork the OD had given me. She eventually gave it to me, but not without me asking to speak with a manager. She was rude and flighty, and seemed terrified to lose a sale but was doing everything she could to make sure she didnt get one. I eventually took my prescription to Sams Club and got awesome Coach frames and Crizal lenses for about half of what Visionworks quoted me.
