Awful experience! I had such high hopes for this place since I cant do dairy. I had gone in there a few weeks ago after eating at the Tavern on 17th (which by the way is awesome, read my review on them!), but I was too full to get anything, but I did try all the wonderful coconut milk offerings. I was blown away at how good they were! The person working the counter was awesome and so excited about working there! So yesterday thinking about this previous experience I headed over to get my first serving. The person behind the counter was terrible! First of all, she was not even in the store. I had to wait on her to come in from outside. I asked her about what flavors they had for the day that were non-dairy. She responded, I dont know, I didnt work this morning. I asked again, do you not have any ice cream that was made with coconut milk? Yes, we have coconut flavor. OK, is that just flavor or made with coconut milk? I think its made with coconut milk, but Im not sure. I should have walked out then, but I had drove all that way to get some coconut milk ice cream because there is only one other place in Wilmington that offers this, at least this is the only 2 places I know of. Then I asked do I get to put the toppings on or do you do it, she says, no we do it. So I was again disappointed in the limited selection of toppings, but I was there, so I asked for 3 toppings, and I barely got 2 teaspoons of toppings, she forgot the 3rd, but she did charge me for all 3! The ice cream (coconut milk) was frozen in places where it has gotten ice crystals throughout the scoop I got. I will not be back, I will continue to go to TBCY to get a better product using Almond milk soft serve and I get to put on my own toppings and it is like 3 dollars cheaper and I get more! I know you have to pay the rent, but if Im going to pay a higher price for something, it had better be worth it and this place is not. Very disappointed. No songs for this place!
Best ice cream in town... hidden gem! Homemade ice cream with real fruit and you can taste the difference. Kids love their cones and fun and colorful options for toppings, my favorite is the Acai Bowl and vegetarian ice cream is delicious as well. Nice ice cream shop to spend the afternoon with the family or friends. They deserve the support of turist and locals... great job!
Multiple flavors of Homemade Ice cream made from fresh fruit, lots of fun topping for the kids. I love the Acai Bowl and sunset bowl. Healthy, Fresh, and Delicious. It is also a beautiful place to host any Birthday party, Baby Shower, or just an Ice Cream party. We enjoy sitting at the outdoor area patio where is always calm and relaxing.
I’ve really really tried to like this place. I’ve been about half a dozen times because they make a flavor of ice cream that no other place makes, and it’s my favorite! But every single time I’ve tried to order from here, the boys behind the counter are lifeless and unenthusiastic, borderline rude. They are never helpful when you want to ask any type of question about a product, and never actually have all the required ingredients to make something on the menu. And then they are always closed at obscure times! If your hours state a time, don’t close 2 hours early multiple times a week. (This was BEFORE covid and after) I always try again thinking they’ll have new staff or they’ll be open and I’m always saddened. I just wish the staff was more enthusiastic and friendly, knew their product, and that this store would actually be open during its stated hours.
I had recently heard about this place from my friend who said it was amazing. I decided I would go there and try one of the acai bowls my friend had gotten. I ordered the Pb&J Acai bowl. The worker knew exactly how to make it and the service was quick. When I tried it I was amazed by how much it reminded my of Pb&J’s that my mother used to make for me at home. I will definitely come back to this place to try other items 5/5 :)
The server was great. But warning to anyone that may want an equal or similar experience in taste to Brewsters, Cold Stone or Dairy Queen. The taste is not close. For those who like vegan or non dairy cream you may love this so Im not trying to discourage anyone from trying this out. But if you want a regular flavor this is not the one for you.Once again service was fine but the ice cream is different. Believe me. And the price is on Cold Stone level and possibly higher. Such as the milk shake is almost $7.00.So there you have it. My review. Thanks.
Me and my husband were looking for an ice cream place with diary-free options. Me and my husband both picked their diary free chocolate. It was impeccable!
I went there last week and the customer service was good. They also gave free samples out. I would recommend the cherry chip.
Excellent experience! The location is awesome and the banana split is the best I have ever had!
I had wanted to find a place in Wilmington that served a delicious açaí bowl. I had been to countless other restaurants and ice cream shops, but none can compare to this. The Pb&J açaí bowl was so good I just had to get 2. I also recommended this place to my brother, Zacktavier. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves ice cream!
Me and my friend come here a lot. We always love the new flavors. I did wish they had rolled ice cream.
This place is absolutely amazing!! Wonderful service and friendly atmosphere!! Will definitely be going back!!
This place is Heavenly Sweet even more than its name suggests in more ways than one.... The owners and their children are heavenly nice here on Earth. As I was leaving I witnessed the owner praying to a heavenly being. You wont regret going here for your Heavenly Sweet (s). Try it today!!
Not overly impressed at all. The cashier was friendly-ish but the flavors were lackluster for sure.My boyfriend got the sorbet and it was crumbly and crunchy looking. He said it would be the first and last time he went there and I agree unfortunately. They also need music or something in there. It was so stark and quiet you could hear every step we took...
Very delicious ice cream. I take my kids there often.
Prices are a little high but it makes sense considering the location. Also, their ice cream is soooo creamy. Its fantastic. I just wish they put a few more wafers in the banana pudding ice cream!
Ordered the PB&J Acai Bowl. And this is what I got for $10. 🙃🙃🙃 The kid behind the counter was obviously New and Didnt know what was in the Bowl to begin with. He had to find the Recipe Book to just tell me what was in it. I said cool Ill take one because it had all my favorite things. 🤤 He then proceeded to grab his phone and call someone to help him make it. No one answered. There was another employee with her BF sitting in the Lobby and He asked her to help. (Teamwork) This is not a sellable product an if an establishment would like to capitalize on what couldve been a potentially cool treat they should train their employees better in handling and preparation. I Will Not Return to this Establishment again. Hope this helps others.
It is an OK ice cream place. It is not anywhere close to Cold Stone, Dairy Queen, Bruster’s or Baskin Robbins. The service was good but the product wasn’t good at all. I wouldn’t recommend to anybody expecting real ice cream. It is more of an vegan ice cream place, they had non dairy ice cream. That will be my first and last time going there. But I did like the aesthetic of it, it was very welcoming. But I overall would recommend it to anybody
Delicious vegan options! The chocolate tasted so creamy and decadent. The vegan green tea was also tasty and not too sweet. Also it is super clean.
The absolute best homemade Ice Cream around Wilmimgton! And the milkshakes are almost all ice cream! Wonderful.
Amazing ice cream and workers I recommend it to everyone
Great service, the cashier was super friendly! The homemade ice cream was delicious, I ordered the banana split and could choose my 3 flavors for a reasonable price.
Ive enjoyed all the flavors Ive tried, and the service (particularly the young man who served me today) is always friendly. Will return.
Drove from Leland to get an Acai bowl and was told he couldnt make it because he didnt know how. Apparently his daughter is the only one that can make them and she was working at their other restaurant. Why offer it if you cant make them? Very disappointed.
Thought they would have more unique flavors, but they had mostly basics. Not impressed with my visit. ☹
The acai bowls were absolutely awful. It came out like a liquid drink and nothing was mixed at all. Service was rude and terrible. Waste of money!
Such a fun place! Lots of options to choose from! They have everything to appeal to every customer!
Awesome homemade icecream. Made fresh daily.
The strawberry shortcake flavor was some of the best Ive cream Ive ever had!!
Loved the mint chocolate chip.. homemade with real pieces of mint 👍
Super good ice cream.Manager is very nice.
Phenomenal ice cream and substantial scoops!
Had a Tirimisu milkshake with Oreo bits. It was amazing.
$7 for a milkshake that was 3/4 full and water - tasted awful. Will never go back. Rip off.
Great place, awesome owners
Horrible. I was overcharged, and I believe on purpose. She put 3 extra ice creams on, so sorry I didnt check her ringing it up there. Even more sorry I went in. Never again
Worst experience, literally got charged for the choclate syrup and whip cream without me even asking for it ....$0.75 for each topping . Asked for fresh fruit and she brought out a sorbet ...not going back .
Best home made ice creme
Very clean!
