Very pleasant to deal with, over the phone and in person. I didnt have the work done because it seemed a bit pricey however Ive never needed glass cut. I plan to shop around but may return if pricing is in line with others because my daddy always used Standard and thought highly of them.I am giving 5 stars due to their customer service and the loyalty they earned from my dad.

Very bad experience they couldnt comprehend that I wanted my piece of glass cut. Gave me a price of 30 odd dollars using their glass. Once I got someone to understand that I wanted my glass cut they told me 60 dollars

Instead of replacing all of the insulated window frames and glass in our home, we just replaced the glass in those windows. It cost 90% less than the highest frame replacement estimate. The measurement and installation guys were perfect and fast. It took just 3 weeks. My wife is now very happy there are no more fogged up windows in our home.

Standard Glass did a great job installing our new shower door. Kirk, the salesman, inspected and measured the shower stall. Jonathan and Marshall were very professional installing it. They arrived on time, were proficient installing it, and cleaned up the area when done. Marshall gave us good advice on how to care for the new installation.If we have any more glass projects, well use Standard.

I had an external window that I needed to replace on my home. It did take them awhile to do the install after I paid them, had to call them to schedule it since I didnt hear from them a month later. They came out, were really nice people, did an excellent job. The window leaked at the top of it so I had to seal it. The next morning I woke up to a 10 inch crack starting from bottom of glass going towards the top. It did get cold that night but it really wasnt that cold. Theres no signs of impact to the glass from the outside.I called standard glass and they informed me they dont warranty the glass or their work and would charge me the same amount to replace the glass again. Obviously Im not interested in paying for work if it cant be completed correctly with the correct glass.

We had a shower glass installed. It took 2 months for the job to be completed. It took 5 trips out to finish the job, 3 of those nothing was done because one piece of glass was measured wrong. And 2 times the wrong piece was brought back, so they wasted our time and theirs. All I heard was apologies and excuses. The last email I got from them touted their commitment to customer care and service. I disagree with that.

Had a small cocktail table that I needed a new glass top for. The receptionist, some lady in her mid 30s, was so incredibly rude. I was wearing a mask the whole time, she took my table and walked through the warehouse to get an estimate. I followed her. When I got to the shop floor she turned around and berated me saying “you are not suppose to be here.” It would have been the polite thing to say please wait here I will be right back. But instead she berated me and said their “are 2 signs” outside. She was also incredibly rude throughout the whole sale, did not know here glass, versus using plexiglass. Unpleasant experience. I was wearing a mask the whole time; but still was given the third degree. She could have been much more pleasant. Oh well. Never again will I come here...probably a good company, just the wrong person to be interfacing with the public..

I requested shower doors. Standard glass sent someone out to get the measurements. I was told my doors would be completed within two weeks. My shower doors were completed in a timely manner. The staff were very friendly and courteous. They answered my questions and had a sense of humor. They worked diligently installing the doors. I needed a mirror cut and installed. They told me they probably could have it cut that evening and installed the next business day. They came through with the cutting and installation of my mirror. Standard Glass, I appreciate the product and service I received.

More or less told them I was going to give them a small commercial project all they had to do was give me number and I would write a contract. I have had to beg to have them give me a number for over two weeks. They still cant get me a number. It a simple job 3 doors. They came highly recommended. But Andy cant produce the numbers for them to be handed work. Now I have to start over and find another company to look at this that will put me behind. If you need numbers quick this is not your company to use

Once again fast work with precision! I had to face wife after breaking scroll cut glass plate in antique China Cabinet. . . ouch. Brought pieces to Standard and they quickly remade to a perfect fit. Out of trouble again! Thank you all!!

So glad I chose Standard Glass!!!! They did a terrific job with absolutely no mess. Not only were they polite and professional, Mark was extremely well versed in the product. He helped me make decisions that I had not thought about previous to his first call.Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I am adding this update on Jan 23, 2019:Bought a small grinding bit for my drill from Home Depot for @$7. With water as lubricant, I ground off the 1/16 of inch in the area I had marked for this glass company to correct. Took maybe 20 minutes to accomplish with setup time. Insert is now in tabletop, no thanks to Standard Glass, glass cutter professional . Better offI needed a table top insert in early Nov. and chose Standard Glass in Wilmington for this small project. Ordering the glass insert was easy. Getting the glass cut correctly and within the proposed time schedule became the problem.Ordered it Nov. 11, picked it up before Christmas.Drove 17 miles back to my home and inserted glass...didnt fit in one corner. Remeasured glass and it was 1/16 inch off on one edge. I marked off the area of glass that needed reworking.Brought it back up, showed the problem and was told another sanding/edging would make it fit. Two + weeks later, no call from glass shop, I drive up to pick it up.Have not touched it. Its now Jan. 4.Glass cutter says he has too much work and will get to it. Cant say when, but goes on to explain (make excuses) how much work is involved to set the jig/frame, etc.I say it just needs a little sanding on one edge, 1/16 @. He then says the mistake is mine and his measurement is correct. 98% of the glass insert fits fine, just one (4in.) edge needs work. But he is correct, I need to Bri g the entire table in for him to see the mistake in size. He refused to acknowledge even the possibility of an error, in spite of the facts put before him.I am forced to take back the glass, $113 paid for insert that doesnt fit.I should have dropped it right there, shatter it, and accept the loss. Insert doesnt fit, cant use it anyway.Terrible service, poor workmanship, staff that has no integrity. SAD

3/14/2019 - Standard Glass Company in Wilmington. They lost my replacement window order and didnt realize it until I called looking for it two weeks later. When it finally came in, I called to see if I could bring the old window in and have the new glass installed while I waited (one 26 x 28 vinyl window)...no dice...had to drop it off and wait for a call back. When I was finally able to pick it up, I tried to reinstall window at customers, found out that they had assembled the window incorrectly and since all of the techs had gone home for the day, I had to figure out how to disassemble and reassemble the window myself.Terrible customer service and lack of technical expertise. Do not recommend.

These guys are the best.. they are helpful, courteous, and will pitch in and help me in a crunch.

We recently built a house and had Mark and his team at Standard Glass install our new shower enclosure. It came out beautifully and we love it! They worked hard, were on time, and left our house as clean as they found it. They were the best subs on the entire project!

I had Standard Glass install new shower doors in March, 2016. They were on time for the estimate and the installation. Mark, Justin, and James werepolite, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the project. I am extremely pleased with the new doors and would definitely call on Standard Glass for other glass projects.

Incredibly poor customer service. we ordered a window for a customers boat and were told that it would be two weeks. It wound up taking about five or six weeks. We received no calls to notify us that our order was going to be delayed and on the several occasions we called to check on the piece of glass the only thing we were told was we will call you when its here then the phone was hung up before they could be thanked.

I had trouble finding a place that would cut a small piece of white plexiglass (5 x 9) for me. After calling Standard Glass and speaking with Judy, my problem was solved! They didnt have exactly what I wanted at the time but she took my information and what I was looking for in case she came across something I could use. Judy called back within the hour with exactly what I wanted. I would recommend them for projects large and small! (And the price was more reasonable than what I found online!)

I couldnt be happier that I chose Standard Glass for my broken window. I had to break a window when I locked myself out of the house. They helped me throughout the entire project and went above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend Standard Glass to everyone in Wilmington and will be returning for all my future glass needs.

Stopped in this morning to get some glass cut for some custom picture frames. The employees were very friendly, and they had my order completed in less than 3 hours. I will certainly be returning for future glass needs!
